Just looking at the first team squad on official website. 31 players. Sabri wants a squad of about 23/ 24. Come January try to get rid of pants, muric, milosavic, benalouane, hefele, yacob, Mir, and Clough. Try and offload Carvalho to Olympiacos and that leaves 22. Sign a striker and a good gutsy box to box midfielder and we are sorted for a push to the big time. Forget the top 6 it's all about the top 2 for me.

A very tenuous friend of a friend (colleagues partners grand daughters grand father) is a Leicester scout and according to my colleague Leicester are looking at Worrall. I’d let him go for about £25m.

2.) 04 Oct 2019 07:43:47
If were serious about promotion I wouldn't let him go for any amount, surprised you would let him go.

3.) 04 Oct 2019 11:13:54
Yates is our box-to-box midfielder, don't need any more.

4.) 04 Oct 2019 12:27:40
Yep forgot about him bsered. Spot on mate👍.

5.) 05 Oct 2019 10:59:00
Semedo is your box to box man 👌🏼.

6.) 05 Oct 2019 12:13:10
Agree with most of the departures but wouldn’t let Carvalho go or Worrall. Probably keep Pants too as back up.

I think the area we need to strengthen is an extra striker. Not much else needed.

7.) 06 Oct 2019 07:11:10
I would let Carvalho go. If our owner could make a bumper deal to Olympiacos happen to raise some funds for a striker I'd be happy. Without a doubt Joao has talent in there somewhere, but for the money we paid for him, I expected him to be tearing up the Championship, but instead he just toddles around the pitch and loses the ball way too much.

8.) 08 Oct 2019 23:44:55
I'm sorry, I must have read that wrongly, suggestions of offloading Carvalho to Greece. What utter tosh! That man is one of the most talented players I've seen pull on the garibaldi in years. In his first full season in English football, he contributed to 12 goals, never mind all the other chances he created, the dribbles, the runs at oppositions defences, the nutmegs, the first time passes, the one-twos, the ability to make play tick and to make play move faster.

His speed of thought is something else, his ability to create and find room is delightful, and personally he's given me more moments of pure pleasure watching Forest than I can remember. He's not perfect, he's young, he will make mistakes and he will give the ball away. BUT, I'd rather he give the ball away 2 out of 5 times, if he's trying a forward pass, or an incisive pass, or something positive the other 3 out of 5 times. He's coming back to fitness this year after a pretty bad injury and has already created opportunities all over the place.

I really don't know what more you want from a 22 year old. He's a player that could be in the Forest team for a long time hopefully. Just ruddy get behind the players we have that are giving 100% every game, because its working at the moment. I don't want 11 Carvalhos, but I also wouldn't want 11 Watsons or Sows.

Interesting to see SL Quoting he had the whole squad of 23 players in London for the week. This is exactly the right thing to do. I said a few week s back he should pick 22/ 23 and disregard the rest.

Apparently the deadwood 12 aren't allowed near the 23. Spot on Sl
It prevents the deadwood causing unrest in the squad and keeps team spirit amongst a tight knit group This guy really knows what he's doing, hope we stick with him and give him the time he deserves.

1.) 27 Aug 2019 11:03:50
I agree RB. Pretty ruthless approach but if you want to create team spirit on and off the pitch, it necessary.

2.) 27 Aug 2019 15:16:12
Who are the deadwood?

3.) 27 Aug 2019 16:25:38
The deadwood 12?

Pantilimon, Smith, Hefele, Ariyibi, Bridcutt, Clough, Cummings, Murphy.

That's eight, with possibly Yacob too? Milosevic? Hope not, the Swede has looked decent. Benalouane? Might be surplus like Milosevic, behind Worrall, Dawson, Figs and Chema.

4.) 27 Aug 2019 22:21:49
Beneloun injured and just been given a contract extension but Milosevic is definitely on his way and darikwa is injured, admire Lamouchi for sorting out his preferred squad so quickly and trusting in worrall and showing he is actually a very good centre back, wait till carvalho is let loose and then we will really be on fire, the kid will love playing alongside sow and semedo.

08 Aug 2019 09:27:49
Today's expected signings. Colback and Bostock. Perfect let's bolster up that thin Midfield 🤷
Might even add a central defender 🤦.

Red balloons

1.) 08 Aug 2019 11:58:29
Sorry no Colback.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 12:57:22
Colback wages too high.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 14:29:11
Need a keeper!

4.) 08 Aug 2019 16:23:19
Can’t our sponsors help out with the wage part? just like 32 red are paying half rooneys wages. how this is allowed is beyond me. that's like a 3rd party player.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 17:35:38
Signed Chema so guessing we are going to use Benyoune and Hefele as strikers now right as they won’t get look in at the back!

06 Aug 2019 09:19:15
The Rooney signing is Stella signing, gives the whole place a lift and at 33 with score loads in the championship.
All we sign is unheard of dross. Even That arsenal player I've never heard of.
Morris might be a loose cannon but knows how to create a buzz.

Red balloons

1.) 06 Aug 2019 09:47:33
Never heard of jenkinson? need to get out more, he’s played champions league football for arsenal.
Derby just spent 10mill on an arsenal youth player, why have arsenal let him go this early? especially when arsenal were after brereton.

2.) 06 Aug 2019 10:15:55
Don't follow arsenal mate so couldn't care less about that household name jenkinson
Put you paninni sticker book away and get in the real world and arsenal have let that youth clown go to Derby cause he's probably a duff like lansbury was. 👍.

3.) 06 Aug 2019 10:18:41
He has a year left on his contract hence the need to get rid.

4.) 06 Aug 2019 12:23:11
I don't follow Arsenal but I know who Jenkinson is. Solid RB at Champ level, 2-3m would be a fair price.

5.) 06 Aug 2019 14:02:28
Read what the Arsenal fans think of Jenkinson, they're praying someone takes him off their hands. May well be a steady player at our level but I wouldn't be paying 2 million for him and I'd imagine his wages will be high. Maybe a loan signing would be a better option and spend whatever money we have on a Striker.

6.) 06 Aug 2019 14:45:51
But the arsenal fans are talking about how he is in the prem he's steady enough at this level.

7.) 06 Aug 2019 15:26:26
Red ballon I agree Rooney is a Stellar name, he’s ok these days bullying old has beens in the mls but think he’s like Ashley Cole was finished, the attention seeking shaggers strike again.

8.) 06 Aug 2019 15:32:34
Brum fans don’t seem to think so and he lost his place whilst at brum because he wasn’t good enough.
Get In the real world? You don’t need a sticker book to know who he is just a little bit of football knowledge, that can’t be taught you have to put the work in like watching games of football in all divisions stuff like that. i don’t follow arsenal but I know who he is.

Not all doom and gloom lads. Alan Nixon reporting Forest are definitely strengthening the team in January.
There getting rid of Mir and Carvalho 😂😂.

Red balloons

1.) 24 Oct 2019 18:29:49
Lol Red😂😂
As an aside, what’s happened to our promising youngsters- Johnson and Mighten? If Carvalho and Mir keep getting chances then surely they are worth a punt?

I’ve been a big defender of Carvalho last season- got to give him a chance- but how many chances does it take? It’s blatantly obvious that he’s not upto Championship football now, big disappointment.

21 Oct 2019 12:25:38
A lot of healthy debate yesterday afternoon and through to the evening. Best for months.
Quite clearly Lamouchi needs at least another 2 windows to hone our squad. Still got deadwood to shift and some of the signings he was given by the DOF clearly haven't worked. Mir another Wolves disaster, Muric, hopeless, Mendes clearly had our pants down with Carvalho ain't worth £13. Sow and Semedo vital and needed ASAP. Lolly has been sussed, looking a one season wonder and we need Gayle ASAP. With no run away teams like previous years we could easily go up with a tweek here and there. Goals for column a massive problem at the moment tho.

Red balloons

1.) 21 Oct 2019 12:57:32
RB i agree Sabri needs at least two more transfer windows to hone the squad and that there is still deadwood to get rid of. Muric has been a waste, even his international boss has been critical of him, but he is the best they have, although Mir has not done well i would not call him a waste, some players are confidence players and Mir has hardly been picked, then got a injury so it is harsh to judge so him so soon. I would not say Lolley has been sussed, or was a one season wonder, i think Sabri has reigned him in to make the team a team that works as a collective, not as a bunch of individuals which has hurt Lolley's game. Sabri's teams have never been teams that create a lot of chances, or scored lots goals, even when he had Didier Drogba in his team, he likes his teams to work hard, keep a tight defence where everyone works at doing, then with speed and good passing, and good finishing to put teams away. More time is needed for all that to happen to the standard required to consistently beat teams like Wigan, but i think it will happen.

08 Oct 2019 12:15:30
I assume we've all seen the footage of Sabri dancing on the sideline. (If not it's on Nottingham forest bird site. Sabri cam)
He should teach the players and that could be the Forest Haka to perform to the opposition before kick off. Ala the all blacks 😍😍😍.

It reminded me of a Guinness advert from a few years back. 💪.

05 Oct 2019 19:41:23
Isn't it nice to know when Dawson gets his inevitable injurys or 5 yellow cards, we have a replacement in Chema who looks equally as good on today's performance. What a game he's had, so solid.
Special mention to Cash and Watson too. Awesome.

Red balloons

1.) 05 Oct 2019 20:26:35
Cudnt agree more.

2.) 05 Oct 2019 22:07:07
Agree with all that and how good is it that we now have 4 decent fullbacks, Cash and Riberio superb today.

28 Sep 2019 17:09:20
Results went our way today lads. I'll take joint 2nd after all those fixtures today. Top teams playing each other on Tuesday and Wednesday. Onwards and upwards. Something brewing on the banks if the trent me thinks 👌.

Red balloons

1.) 28 Sep 2019 17:36:33
We are Third. Swans better goal difference.

2.) 28 Sep 2019 18:44:09
bsered we may be third because of goal difference but the points are the same so joint second is just as good to say. Are you one of those people that would argue the case of alphabetical order if everything else was the same.

3.) 28 Sep 2019 20:05:29
But for muric mistakes against WBA wed be top.
Doesn't matter what other sides do as long as we keep doing the buisness.
I can't remember the last time we won three championship games on the spin or went on an unbeaten run for 8 games or won back to back away games.
We will be either first or second by the end of October and while I see some aren't happy about us being on the back foot in games, well get used to it that's how we set up to play and it's working.
Thought matty cash deserved man of the match as two superb crosses.

4.) 28 Sep 2019 20:31:26
Defend as a team, attack as a team. Every player knows their job and are doing well.

5.) 28 Sep 2019 20:45:57
Spot on red dog and you don't see any heads going down when we go behind just get on with the game and make our power and fitness tell.

6.) 28 Sep 2019 21:00:40
Fm79 i agree with some that you mentioned, i must say though, i can not get use to the side being able to soak up pressure with the ease they have in most of their games.
I keep expecting a lapse of concentration, and someone to make a silly mistake.
Sabri has on the whole has almost sorted that out, if the team can keep tbat going i think we will have a good chance of going up because the was what let them down so often in the past.
After the Barnsley game i said we were lucky to hang on to the one game lead, but in spite of the team being more solid when under pressure i did fear it could end up a draw, after all no matter how strong you are under pressure all it takes is a bit of brilliance, a slip, or a player conning the ref by going down and all the good work is undone.

7.) 28 Sep 2019 21:15:20
Think you will see us just get stronger as it's basically a team that's been thrown together and Lamouchi has done far better in making them feel than I would have expected.
Hes got his squad playing for each other and they are still getting used to each other.
Not often you get a bit of brilliance in the championship so I'm not concerned just think we will be very hard to beat and we have a goal threat all over the park.

8.) 28 Sep 2019 22:02:21
Awotwu my thoughts exactly, it's a glass half full thing. Just enjoying being in the auto spots (apart from goal difference) 😂😂.

The way Chema played Saturday there is know need to rush Dawson back and risk another half season injury. With our squad we don't need to rush anybody back from injury and that's the difference this year.

This is where the problem lies, the goal difference between us and the teams above is growing every week. Preston just hammer teams and we never will at the mo. Goal difference could mean the difference of play offs or not.
Needs addressing in January.

Absolutely useless, can't tackle no pace 4 goals in 2years plus 8 assists in 50 odd games.
Record signing dosnt make him a good player, just means Mendes had our pants down as with Gonsalves and Dias. Thank god I think we've moved on from that robbing clown now the 2 French guys are in.

Mcgugan had more talent in his big toe than that clown Carvalho but unfortunately was bone idle. In fact Rafa Mir is 22 and got more talent and the less said about him the better.
