Kelleher was the subject of a large bid from us apparently.
If it had been accepted it would have taken the cost of trying to replicate Samba seem absolutely outrageous.
Big fees spent, loan fees and huge wages trying to replace a man who should have been kept at all costs.
I, ll always wonder who was behind this decision, it definitely wasn’t Samba.
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 09 Sep 2024 19:41:31
Samba was being greedy. He rejected a new contract that was worth more than double his salary.

2.) 10 Sep 2024 10:27:14
yes from 5k to 10k
now it, s cost millions, Henderson who replaced him 100k
CARLO.

3.) 10 Sep 2024 15:31:01
If we had succeeded in signing Kelleher, the keeper search would be over. A class above what we have and what we've had.

4.) 15 Sep 2024 23:47:07
I agree with Carlo, we missed the boat with Samba. Let a good one slip and have paid for it in money and points ever since.

5.) 16 Sep 2024 21:49:50
You should listen to what samba had to say. I have unfinished business in France and his family wanted to return. He did the business for us and we let him go because he wanted to return home.

6.) 18 Sep 2024 11:00:32
Why listen to what the actual player said when you can just make up a load of crap and question someone at the club?!?!

7.) 19 Sep 2024 21:11:14
2 tone your forgetting carlo has a mole ??.

8.) 20 Sep 2024 13:54:16
My missus has got a mole right near her.
Never mind I've said too much.

9.) 21 Sep 2024 18:28:59
You getting moles mixed up with beavers pollyard?

10.) 22 Sep 2024 16:42:30
The mole is near her beaver.

11.) 22 Sep 2024 17:24:33
Funny.

12.) 22 Sep 2024 19:09:16
I'm not one to put my nose in pollyred
I think it could be a problem?

31 May 2024 21:12:33
Awful lot of speculation about us selling our stars, if it is pure mischief the club for trust with loyal supporters need to stamp on it NOW.
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 31 May 2024 23:07:14
I couldn't agree more. If this is just lazy journalism they need to be sorted out!

2.) 31 May 2024 23:10:06
Just how much do we need to bring in to clear FFP? I've read that Mangala will be signing permanently for Lyon, won't that be enough?

3.) 01 Jun 2024 04:43:35
Might know more by the end of this month, we are not sure yet if Nunos staying, but if Everton are asking for between 60-80 million for Brantewaite, we should be doing the same for MGW and Murillo, not as reported 40 million.

10 Mar 2024 10:37:10
I, ve seen my MOLE this weekend and the club provisionally know the deduction.
CARLO.

1.) 10 Mar 2024 15:53:52
Minus 12?

2.) 10 Mar 2024 16:07:09
Mole, wart or varuca?

3.) 10 Mar 2024 16:07:53
My blister says it's 6 points.

4.) 10 Mar 2024 21:01:00
Just let it go carlo
You know nothing.

5.) 11 Mar 2024 10:47:49
It, s OK to have a very high opinion of yourself but never make the the mistake that others have to share it.
CARLO.

6.) 11 Mar 2024 12:45:59
Carlo, I’m reminded of T. S. Eliots line in “Preludes” mate

“Short square fingers stuffing pipes,
And evening newspapers, and eyes
ASSURED OF CERTAIN CERTAINTIES
The conscience of a blackened street
Impatient to assume the world. ”

How certain are you my friend? Worth a bet? Just asking for a friend……. ????.

7.) 11 Mar 2024 14:04:12
People in high places don't give information out, especially to Joe public.

{Ed001's Note - that's not necessarily true. They talk about stuff in front of the lowliest staff all the time. The higher they get the less they even notice ordinary people.}

8.) 11 Mar 2024 14:45:51
Ed I’ve always subscribed to the idea that it’s best to have friends in low places! ??.

{Ed001's Note - why do you think I talk to you lot? Just kidding but we don't have a Sheff Utd, Burnley or Luton site....}

9.) 11 Mar 2024 16:10:01
I can assure you any thing I hear DEFINITELY comes from well up the food chain.
Obviously it doesn’t always come to fruition but a weeks a long time in football.
CARLO.

10.) 11 Mar 2024 17:54:44
Ed 1 Your wise words are as pearls cast before swine………. ??????.

{Ed001's Note - hahahaha great comeback Stokey.}

11.) 11 Mar 2024 17:55:40
Pretty sure those involved - Forest, The PL, the legal teams - will know a likely outcome but I don't think anything will be set in stone just yet.

12.) 11 Mar 2024 20:20:18
Carlo you always come out with you know something, but never say what is actually going to happen, anyone can say that
You told us all about marinakis and then turn round and said you've never met him though.
Now you say you know?
But your mole also gets it wrong ??.

13.) 11 Mar 2024 23:19:22
I have a mole on my arse, but none of you would be interested!

14.) 12 Mar 2024 09:02:46
Sharkey, that’s true mate! ???.

15.) 12 Mar 2024 16:48:01
Jim Royal would say” Mole my arse “
??CARLO.

16.) 12 Mar 2024 20:35:26
Tell him to say hi to Ratty and Badger for me.

17.) 14 Mar 2024 16:30:26
I think 3 points is what we will be receiving.

29 Feb 2024 18:08:19
Looks like we could be in a similar situation as Coventry found themselves, a big row is brewing with the council with Forest threatening to leave the CG.
Looks like we could have to borrow Pride Park.
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 29 Feb 2024 22:28:56
No row carlo
Marinakis just telling the council to sell him the leasehold or he might take us elsewhere and build a new ground
Previous owners should have done the same.

2.) 01 Mar 2024 07:39:58
Pride Park! Go and wash your mouth out Carlo mate! Even that Stadium had its design problems, especially in building of the stands erroneously facing the pitch ……. ??.

3.) 01 Mar 2024 10:42:16
Mr M playing Al Capone again, it won, t work here.
CARLO.

4.) 01 Mar 2024 11:09:26
Council ran out of money, need to sell assets, good time to make them an offer for the land. May take Nottingham City Council off the list of plan approvers.

5.) 01 Mar 2024 16:20:37
Exactly Phil.

16 Dec 2023 08:04:35
SC isn’t t told who to pick but I can assure you he is definitely told who not to pick.
No top bloke will accept this so we will end up with some no mark yes man again.

Then you couldn't have met carlo then ???.

10.) 10 Apr 2025 23:45:55
Well, I thought Carlo looked good and was full of beans when I met him at the TBI. At 67 going on 68 I bet you look like crap compared to him DTP!

17 Feb 2025 09:00:29
Next two games will define our season, two defeats and we could start to slide, hopefully this won’t happen!
Just a little thought, should we swap our fullbacks over?
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 17 Feb 2025 09:35:51
Every team goes through a losing patch or loss of points. I can't see us getting anything at Newcastle, regardless of last seasons result and even if we do lose the next two, the season levels out during the run in so we'll be fine. Top 4? still anyones guess but to be fair if we finished 6th, as disappointing as that would be, at the ned of the day. that's called progress and we would have taken it last August in a heart beat.

2.) 17 Feb 2025 16:24:18
Good post Targa. I've always predicted we would finish tip half of the table with European spot a bonus. This would lay a good foundation for a real push next season ( although I think Spurs and Man Utd will strengthen massively before then). It shows how far we’ve come that we are looking upwards rather than downwards. Remember, we are competing with teams such as Arsenal and Liverpool with perhaps 4 times our budget plus Man City and Chelsea with probably 10 times our budget.
Onwards and upwards uuuuuuuu reddddddsssss!

3.) 17 Feb 2025 16:44:42
Completely agree with Targa and Stokey, Europe would be a massive bonus, would be interesting to know exactly what Nunos remit was for this season, i'm guessing avoid a relegation battle which we have already. Onwards and upwards COYR!

4.) 17 Feb 2025 17:38:14
Just to keep things in perspective comrades, this season many on here were half expecting another relegation battle. We could be down with the Foxes instead we are up with the Gunners and the Chelsea’s! Whatever happens we will never forget the win at Anfield, beating Man U at Old Trafford, the 7 nil v Brighton, the late fight back against Villa and more. So let’s just carry on enjoying the ride and appreciate what a time this is to be a Red! ??????.

5.) 17 Feb 2025 18:34:59
Great message Stokey lad.

6.) 17 Feb 2025 18:52:36
Absolutely stokey, whatever happens between now and the end of the season is irrelevant. A top ten finish would be fantastic considering the last two seasons. People tell me it's just like the Clough era all over again, a chance for European football. I don't think it's anything like then Clough and Taylor wouldn't have known too much about the European opposition back then. Today a click of a button and anyone can find out what so in so from athletico had for breakfast. Let's see what happens in the next few months.

7.) 17 Feb 2025 19:19:22
As usual I agree with you Stokey and I'm certainly appreciating it as a fan! I feel so proud at what we have achieved as a club so far this season - in a more measured, self-confident, yet less confrontational way than the last couple of seasons.

I do wonder though what Big M expects from us in terms of finishing place this season - in comparison to Nuno and the players' aspirations/ abilities.

I have a gut feeling that a gap will appear between the two
aspirations as the season comes to an end.

To use a fairground analogy though - I'm loving the fact that Forest are at last riding the roller-coaster, as opposed to the merry go round.

8.) 17 Feb 2025 19:28:34
I'm not being funny but if we don't make any sort of European football next season I will be pissed off. surely we've not got this far to finish outside a European place and I think the big man will be thinking the same. this will be our best chance of making European football for years mid table at the start of the season I would of been over the moon with. but to be 3rd in premier league with 13 games to go and end up out of any sort of European football will be gutting that's just how I would feel. i'm not speaking for anyone else.

9.) 17 Feb 2025 20:15:26
It is a real possibility Skeggs, if we can manage Wood properly until the end of the season.

10.) 17 Feb 2025 20:25:02
In financial terms European football world be beneficial, Mr M knows that and will be pushing Nuno to deliver. That's all well and good but as it was posted yesterday your looking at the thick end of 400mil for the right players. Now that's not a problem for the cheating **** in Manchester but this is forest were talking about, and the premier League would love to nail us with FFP and send us packing back to where they think we belong. Poison chalice comes to mind. it would be an adventure though.

11.) 17 Feb 2025 20:25:20
I think you’re going to be pissed off then pal.

12.) 17 Feb 2025 21:27:08
Thanks ed for the editing, I'll be more thoughtful in future and curb my enthusiasm for vulgarity.

13.) 18 Feb 2025 06:49:18
We've got 3 very difficult games coming up in the League. Newcastle, Arsenal and City which, if we lose them, we could see ourselves down in 7th. I don't think we'll get Champions League football but we might get the Conference. Which is still a massive improvement on what we would've settled for at the beginning of the season.

14.) 18 Feb 2025 09:45:20
Many expecting a relegation battle stokie? Two guys from Skegness wasn't ??.

15.) 18 Feb 2025 15:00:26
Yes, I should have added the words “many on here ( except Hinge and Bracket in Skeggy”……. doesn’t it get a bit boring being right all the time lads …. ?????? ( except when you’re wrong of course …. ????)

16.) 18 Feb 2025 16:44:06
Seriously, pre season I thought solid mid table with anything else a bonus. To be in the Champions League places with two thirds of the season exceeds my wildest hopes.
I don't know if anyone on here remembers but, at the end of last season, with safety assured, Nuno kept making inscrutable references in TV interviews with the words “ if I’m still here next season “.
We will never know what goes on behind closed doors in the corridors of power at the CG but I think Nuno laid down his conditions to Mr M. to stay on. These included a small but quality squad, his the final word on transfers, all business done early ( so, crucially, he could have a proper pre season with the bulk of his squad in place so he could drill into them his methodology and tactics) and the deadwood gone.
Equally crucially, Mr M agreed and this, to me, was the decisive point in our current journey.
Ok, it’s all speculation and maybe I’m adding 2 and 2 and making 5 but it certainly fits. Successful owners have to trust the people they hire and keep their itchy quick fix fingers away from the trigger imo.

17.) 18 Feb 2025 17:32:59
That's right officer dibble were always right ?.

18.) 18 Feb 2025 18:01:16
Don't you mean Officer Dribble Skegs
??.

19.) 18 Feb 2025 18:36:01
Oh dear! Another rib gone ………????.

15 Feb 2025 19:56:26
Your jobs to win the ball and give it someone who can play football!
Did Danilo or Sangare do this? Anderson, MGW no service what so ever.
Two games against Fulham, wrong team selection.
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 15 Feb 2025 21:22:58
Does that apply to morata winning headers against smaller players?
Warning sighs where there when ginenez gad a free header?
Then morata gets beat again by a shirt player for a goal and that theme continued till mirata was subbed 40 mins to late
Awful player.

2.) 15 Feb 2025 22:36:02
Couldn’t agree more 79! Could see that 3 centre halves wasn’t working, we were overrun in midfield and were run ragged. Cross after cross into the box from the flanks but no changes until it was too late. After the first couple of minutes you could see how the game was playing but nothing was done to stop it. This is down to Nuno.

3.) 15 Feb 2025 22:54:02
Well someone saw sane game perko
Nuno should have changed it after gimenez had a free header?
Terrible defender.

4.) 15 Feb 2025 23:04:13
Well that's 2 games this season where Nuno has got it wrong.

Wobble your head and look at the league table.

We are punching.

He is doing an unbelievable job.

Respect.

5.) 16 Feb 2025 08:07:24
Great post 67.

6.) 16 Feb 2025 10:37:39
2 games, 6 points 67, the difference between champions league and not. Yes, we are doing extremely well but that’s points lost. Surely observation would see that the back 3 wasn’t working, they were all over us in midfield and down the wings, we needed a bit of steel and play break up to stop their wave after wave attacks. The change of formation should have come a lot sooner. When they were made we started playing and giving Fulham something to think about. Mr. Magoo would have seen that!

7.) 16 Feb 2025 16:17:53
I totally agree perko, but Fred says different.

15 Feb 2025 09:32:26
If Yates or Jota don’t play today you lot will have to find someone else to pick on, that’s the only time you’re happy, who will it be?
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 15 Feb 2025 11:28:34
I am afraid you're right carlo, not all do though. I myself are guilty of that but do not criticise on here. As we see some players do have off days and I am sure that that they are told by the club you aren't on song today. We have all played the game and know we have had a shocker, but to be criticised with some poor remarks ain't helpful.

2.) 15 Feb 2025 11:40:36
There’s always got to be someone in the barrel Carlo! It’s gone from “Plankov” to the 2 you mentioned above. It’s so arbitrary it could be anyone mate…….

3.) 15 Feb 2025 12:05:07
Well for me if we don't win today it will be the whole team Nuno the owner but most of all Yates and Jota ?.

4.) 15 Feb 2025 13:00:21
Carlo, I don't get it mate, some people just aren't happy unless they can moan. If someone had told me last August we would be third in the league mid Feb I would have held a party on the boat for everyone here to celebrate in advance.
There are players I prefer over others but that's it. The need to harp on about who they are doesn't serve any purpose to me or others. They wear Garibaldi and whilst that is the case, I support them.

14 Feb 2025 08:59:52
Same things being said about Yates that were said about McGovern for years but it was like water off a ducks back to him.
Your jobs to get the ball and give it to someone who can play football, that, s what sir Brian told him but he was in his thirties before he left.
CARLO.

carlo

1.) 14 Feb 2025 11:44:26
McGovern was a much better player.

2.) 14 Feb 2025 11:55:21
I'd have Yates over Sangare at this moment. now he's fit I'm expecting a lot more from him.

3.) 14 Feb 2025 12:07:00
The only trouble is carlo, he don't get the ball, he just wraps his arm around them and fouls them. ?.

4.) 14 Feb 2025 13:02:07
The bottom line with Yates is this, nobody here knows what he is instructed to do on any given day. For all we know Nuno may say your job today is to get in the way, slow down their attacks and disrupt their flow/ rhythm even if it means wrapping them up and taking a yellow for the team. Nuno may say when you win the ball, get it to Morgan or Anderson and leave the ideas to them. This is Yates 3rd season in the prem and has been involved in more games ( so far ) this season than MGW. there's a reason. Just because some individuals don't agree with it doesn't mean the boss doesn't have his reasons. Questioning why Yates is in the team means you question Nuno it's that simple. Nuno gets more thing right than wrong so I'll trust his call over any couch coach. He's not my favorite player and neither is Jota but we're third from the top, everyone should just try to enjoy that rather than spend time pulling it apart. There was reason to moan in the last two seasons not this year!

5.) 14 Feb 2025 16:37:13
I’ve said this many times before but I think every team need a hod carrier before the fancy Dan architects can build anything. Didier Deschamps Billy Bremner, John McGovern, Peter Storey, Henry Newton, Nobby Stiles ……. Yates has that role at the moment and in Nuno ( and previous managers, ) we trust.
By the way I believe Jota Silva had the energy, workrate, aggression and skill to be successful at Premiership level.

6.) 14 Feb 2025 17:28:19
He's the player every opposition player wants to punch. When they're thinking about getting a hard tackle, an elbow upside the head rather than playing football, then Yates has done his job, that's his role. Lessening his contribution lends the question as to who replaces him as the ( clumsy ) thug.
All teams need that thug, we just happen to have a baby faced one. He holds his own in that department. Even his own team mates have said they don't like playing against him in training. well if they don't then the opposition don't either.
Nobody defending Yates in this forum has remotely suggested he's a good footballer but he's good at what is expected of him. I personally expect him to get stuck in and leave cheap shots.

7.) 14 Feb 2025 17:44:26
Stokey names of famous footballers. and then Yates ??? you do know it's not April the first don't you ?.

8.) 14 Feb 2025 17:50:55
Stokey I normally agree with you but Yates and Jota should be turning out for the Rose and Crown.

9.) 14 Feb 2025 18:24:34
Excellent post Targa. I’m not comparing Yates any of those world class players and I know he’s not N’Golo Kante. But he didn’t cost £100 million like Arsenal paid for the best in Declan Rice but he cost nowt and punches well above his weight. Certainly the best (atm) at Forest unless Sanghere steps up.
Also aren’t we forgetting Man of the Match performance against Liverpool at Anfield where he bullied and dominated their all star midfield? Please see our esteemed and knowledgeable Ed 1 comments on how he was the foundation of our win that day. And on countless other days too…….

10.) 14 Feb 2025 18:47:11
Great posts targa and stokey. Obviously a lot more patience with your posts. Can't believe you munmad there again you do travel a lot. So want results yesterday.

11.) 14 Feb 2025 19:00:48
You lot are about as right with Yates as you were with cooper ?? you knew nothing then you know nothing now the skegs is always right and the cooper boys always wrong ??.

12.) 15 Feb 2025 11:42:38
Skegs you are wrong about always being right……??????.

13.) 15 Feb 2025 12:02:00
That's right targo you tell them ?.

We, ve suffered badly with the sale of Jonno, think he, d have put one or two of Origi, s misses away.
Need stability if we survive, having to sell your better players not the answer until it, s inevitable.
Sell your best players rip the fans off, discourage young fans, poor management IMO.
