Reports now surfacing that Kulenovic has changed his mind and want to come to Forest. I honestly don’t know what to think.
Worth a gamble?
Do we want him if he changes his mind like the wind changes direction?

1.) 24 Jul 2021 12:31:50
We only had a newspaper report that Kulenovic didn't want to come in the first place. He has never said that to my knowledge. It is likely agents or his club playing games.

2.) 24 Jul 2021 13:07:40
Or to put it another way, is it likely we would be taking a serious interest in paying a big fee if the player says he doesn't want to play for us?

3.) 24 Jul 2021 14:48:23
on the banter page its sign andy carroll, might as well go back for glen murray.

4.) 24 Jul 2021 15:42:55
Signing Andy Carroll on a pay as you play contract is a win, win situation.

If he is fit and helps to win games his wages will be worth it, if he is out of form so gets dropped, ofis not fit to play he gets payed nothing.

5.) 24 Jul 2021 23:41:38
How can it be win?
He is never fit full stop.
You can't plan a season around a crock of a striker thinking he might be fit enough for a game.
Bad for team morale.

6.) 25 Jul 2021 07:36:33
You must hate Pearce as a manager if that's your opinion, he planned the season around 3 crocks and they got paid whether they played or not.

Bad for team morale ×3.

7.) 25 Jul 2021 13:46:38
in the football world pay as you play means 20 grand plus add ons. play for free, get real.

8.) 25 Jul 2021 15:01:31
Colback was a free and will be on a lot more, he will get payed whether he plays or not.

Grabban did not score much last season and will be on more money whether he plays or not.

If he will not go for pay as you play then i would not go it.

If he goes for pay as you play then he must be doing a good job in order to keep his place so would be worth the money.

15 Jul 2021 17:41:52
Looks like Brentford have lodged a bid for Johnson now and even Barnsley think they can come in and pick over the bones of our squad. In the meantime we have signed two goalkeepers and are being linked with two defenders.

Ever get that sinking feeling?

1.) 15 Jul 2021 18:39:57
Two goalkeepers?

2.) 15 Jul 2021 19:56:51
Yep a young kid from Rangers and the American lad.

3.) 16 Jul 2021 07:45:32
Perhaps young Johnson should be given the opportunity to fill a midfield spot rather than pursue the Manchester United loanee from last season.

4.) 16 Jul 2021 13:20:00
bring back that sinking feeling. i can here it now from the A block.

5.) 16 Jul 2021 13:44:09
It won't be long before we're panic buying the scraps from the continent. The players we are after have several other clubs interested, and the harsh reality is, no one wants to play for us.

6.) 16 Jul 2021 14:53:43
Buying a goalie for the youth team is irrelevant. If we are going to cash in on Worrall, then we will probably bring in a CD. We need a LB and a RB. So not strange really so far.

If we get the winger and striker we have been chasing, then things will look a lot better. The reason we haven't signed many players is due to NOT panicking IMO.

You often have to wait for teams to line up replacements before they let you take a player you have agreed a fee on. Have patience guys.

25 Jun 2021 17:56:38
Rumours this afternoon that we are looking at signing an ex Morocco International defensive midfielder. Who on earth at the club thinks we need more defensive players? This is beyond a joke. Goals and attackers are what’s desperately needed, not some bloke you’ve never heard of who’s only talent is to run like a crab in front of the back four.

1.) 25 Jun 2021 19:11:31
Totally agree RedFrog. What moron at the club thinks we need more defensive midfielders. Who’s going to score the goals. I’m fed up with next season already. You just know what’s coming.

2.) 25 Jun 2021 20:04:41
This guy is describes as defensive but has scored 8 goals from midfield more than our strikers! So I wouldn’t say he would be a defensive signing!

3.) 26 Jun 2021 11:16:08
Shall we wait and see who actually signs before getting all het up over something that hasn't even happened.

4.) 26 Jun 2021 16:45:00
He's not just a DM, he's played all over the midfield for Groningen. Had a spell at AM and RW, scored and assisted further forward too. Let's not make a judgement from just reading the NEP 👍.

5.) 27 Jun 2021 07:18:44
According to most on here the remaining Defensive Midfielders the likes of Colback, Yates and Bachirou aren’t good enough anyway, maybe the manager thinks the same.

13 Sep 2020 07:03:39
The all too familiar feeling of the Fawaz era is flooding back. Dire football, broken promises, pantomime signings- all fed by the sale of some of the clubs best home grown talent. Except this time it’s worse, much worse.

DoF who seems clueless, long contracts for bit part players, the inability of the club to even loan out some of the deadwood like Clough. And back room staff- by all reports some 15 people all dragging a wage from the club. And then we continually see this unhealthy relationship with Olympiakos. They are our owners true love, let’s not kid ourselves that we are anything other than a part time mistress to do with as he pleases.

One up front Lamouchi won’t change his style and will be gone by October, and again the merry go round continues. More foreign coaches, more upheaval, more steps backwards. It’s all so depressingly familiar.

27 Jan 2020 18:25:45
NEP throwing some doubt on the da Costa move tonight quoting a GIF off the players twitter feed of Barak Obama shrugging his shoulders and some reference for his followers to not believe what has been written in France about the proposed move.

1.) 27 Jan 2020 19:06:50
He's not really in a situation to do anything else. We can't read too much into it.

2.) 28 Jan 2020 09:23:57
Good! He'd most likely be a project. We want promotion this season.

Well done lads, a tough place to go and Huddersfield were in good form. Amazing what happens when you don’t adopt a defensive formation. Please take note Cooperman.

1.) 18 Sep 2021 17:23:02
Could have been coopermans tactics for all we know.

2.) 18 Sep 2021 18:17:49
Actually very good point 2star.

18 Sep 2021 13:25:22
I see the usual happy clappers are in the house.

I have every right to moan Red balllons- I’ve been a season ticket holder and follow away for over 30 years. It’s called having an opinion. And my opinion is that Steve Cooper is another Hughton. I have several friends in Swansea - they hated him.

🤣🤣 👏👏.

1.) 18 Sep 2021 13:38:04
Carry on moaning then. 🤣🤣.

2.) 18 Sep 2021 13:44:53
Is that a new Carry On Film FF?

3.) 18 Sep 2021 13:47:02
Red I am in total agreement.
Carry on Moaning.

4.) 18 Sep 2021 14:18:20
With you RedFrog, more of the same. Another one up top defence minded coach. Oh the joy! Would’ve preferred Wilder myself.

5.) 18 Sep 2021 14:18:33
Enjoy fawaz just think what your trying to achieve by hounding marinakis out?
Just aying.

6.) 18 Sep 2021 14:28:16
Some positvity from reid which i wasn:t expecting.
Lets see how it goes.

7.) 18 Sep 2021 15:09:12
I am not even a dot in the eyes of Marinakis FF just a fan voicing opinions.
Like others I believe the fault lies with the owner.
Time will tell my friend. 😉😉.

8.) 18 Sep 2021 15:36:59
Of course he’s another hughton red frog so was lamouchi . Lamouchi proved for a team the ‘clubs’ imposed style of play can yield results . Cooper mag well get the ball moving quicker and get some confidence back, while ever Marinakis is here the philosophy won’t change at all but performances should improve .

Out of all the managers available I’d say he’s the best fit for league one as we will have to develop our young players who will be needed next season, Worrall and Johnson and possibly another will have to be sold to stave off administration so his talent for working with Youngblood will be a real asset to us, on that basis he’s a good appointment mate .

18 Sep 2021 12:08:03
I thought our club was a basket case, but this mornings news on cheating Derby entering administration with a potential 12 point deduction following the already mooted 9 point deduction for player over valuations makes me realise that there are worse clubs out there than ours. It will be interesting what Derby creditors make of all this because they can’t sell anyone until the next transfer window. Dwindling gate returns and no other sources of income point to a very dark future for the sheep.

1.) 18 Sep 2021 12:27:31
Ours is equally as dark .

2.) 18 Sep 2021 14:23:40
Perhaps mad Mel can sell the ground to his brother and re invest! These cheats deserve all they are getting, they’ve bent and broken rules, hindered the investigation, by rights they should have been relegated, last season, but the weak efl finish up punishing Wycombe for abiding by the rules, they deserve no sympathy, or leniency, and we are not in as bad a place as them by any stretch of the imagination,

18 Sep 2021 10:45:20
What’s our new CEO up to? He brought in a brilliant coach in Ismael to Barnsley and a good quota of exciting attacking players resulting in their highest league position in years. They played really good football and were a pleasure to watch.

Now Murphy he has come here he has refused to sack Hughton (he should have gone 3 games ago) and we have now agreed a £1.2 million compensation package for Swansea to secure the services of a defensive minded bloke in the same mould as Hughton who delights in one up front and a midfield of defensive players.
Then there are the signings. Murphy came here with renowned lists of exciting players and good contacts. Really? Who have we signed- nothing in the calibre of Barnsley that is for sure. A handful of loanees and some bloke we have never heard of from South America.
Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds. This manager won’t last a year mark my words. It’s ok losing when you have a go- look at Wycombe last year. I hope for Murphy’s sake that we start scoring a few and having a go because the fans won’t put up with this dross any longer. I can take losing, I can take relegation- but I can’t take choirboy lightweight performances.
Welcome Steve Cooper- your not my choice mate but I’m prepared to give you a chance if you prepared to have a go. Defending deep with 1 up front isn’t acceptable, well to me anyways.

1.) 18 Sep 2021 11:02:50
These things take time Redfrog, give Murphy and Cooper a chance. They've only just walked through the door. Get to mid table this season and the reason transformation starts in the summer.

2.) 18 Sep 2021 11:06:47
Shut up bloody moaning for christ sake, he ain't even hung is coat up yet 🎈.

3.) 18 Sep 2021 11:17:41
Cooper is another Hughton who like to be defensive.
Dame Murphy is having his strings pulled.
Good Luck Steve you will need it.

4.) 18 Sep 2021 11:43:04
Spot on fawaz…. don’t dictate to me balloons or any other supporter on here we all have the right to say what we want so get that one.

5.) 18 Sep 2021 12:00:58
Yea true if its founded but non of us know what he's going to be like .
Give him a chance 🎈.

6.) 18 Sep 2021 12:03:01
How can you judge a man when he hasn't walked through the front door yet. Some supporters need to wonder if they're part of the problem.

7.) 18 Sep 2021 12:07:35
Red balloon is a clappy Happer. 😉.

8.) 18 Sep 2021 12:08:40
Cheers Damson.
Time will tell if the Cooper man can get a tune out of the team.

9.) 18 Sep 2021 12:22:53
That a bit harsh Fawaz. I thought we had something special 💗💋

10.) 18 Sep 2021 13:06:36

11.) 18 Sep 2021 13:10:58
Gazza supporters don't dictate whether or manager gets the boot.
That's the job of the owner.
Norwich and Newcastle fans said Hughton type football is boring and defensive and Swansea fans say the same about Cooper.
Even if Forest had Klopp or Pep each would fail because of restrictions imposed on the manager.
Give Cooper a few games obviously but if results falter the merry go round will continue until the Greek gets bored of his experiment.

17 Sep 2021 11:38:16
If it’s Steve Cooper then we have just replaced one yes man with another. Swansea played a lot of games with one upfront and his inability to get a recently relegated premier league outfit promoted with parachute payments cost him his job. Just ask Swansea fans- it’s a merry go round of mediocrity.

1.) 17 Sep 2021 12:29:24
We do not need another Hughton.
Marinakis needs to scrap his old ways and learn how to run a club correctly.
Will it happen?
Probably not?

2.) 17 Sep 2021 12:36:41
Steve Cooper has only manged one Club - Swansea City and at present he is on gardening leave. We would have to pay maybe 2 million compensation, he has another year on his contract. Okay he was involved in the England set up, but he is short on club management.

Brilliant, another Hughton. Loves 1 up front and lots of defensive midfielders.
More boredom then- and to pay £1.2 million for his services is nothing short of a bad joke.

I thought he had rejected us earlier preferring to fight for his place and play in premier league?
Could be another Grosiki.

This would not surprise me at all Nottschef. In fact our lack of activity in the transfer market may actually be because CH is on very thin ice indeed. Why sign players chosen by CH when in fact he could face the sack if we make a disastrous start? On the other hand it could be that we are penniless and can’t afford anyone anyway. Definitely more to all this than first meets the eye.

Totally agree 79, trouble is why don’t the club come out and tell the truth? We can’t buy players because of FFP. As fans we could accept that and move forward. We had an embargo under Fawaz- we accepted the situation and still supported the club. Come on Forest, put your cards on the table. And moreover the shocking reason we are in this mess? Because of the dross we have signed over the last three seasons. Carvalho, Bong, Jenkinson, Colback, Hefele. the list goes on and on, all on huge wages and all bleeding the club dry.

I’m hoping above 18th but I have a really bad feeling we will be flirting with relegation all season. Cooperman is the same as Hughton, defensive and uninspiring.

Well said East Coast. My thoughts entirely.

If it gets any worse then there will be protests and demonstrations.

I don’t know what you all think, but I’ve had enough. It’s time we stepped forward and let the board know just how we feel.

Northwest I don’t know how you can say that mate- after all they came up with such gems as Bong, Arter, Jenkinson, Da Costa, Taylor, Cafu, Bachirou., . The list goes on and on 🤣🤣🤣.

Doc, he’s a defensive midfielder. Of course he’s on his way, Hughton’s wetting himself at the prospect of another defender. I’m sure he would play 5 DM’s if he thought he could get away with it.
