Although a result is needed, I think a good performance is more important. The past few games have been poor, and having watched us a lot this season we aren’t the most creative of teams. We haven’t got our own style of play yet and have been very boring at times.

RedFrog

1.) 02 Nov 2019 17:51:49
Well you got the result and the performance, alls good .

01 Oct 2019 22:17:59
The big question is “how long can we keep getting away with it? ”
We were poor at times against Rovers, Worrall and Samba were however great and Watson had a decent game again.

RedFrog

1.) 01 Oct 2019 22:29:58
You make me laugh red frog we are one point from the top of the league and your still not happy and they call me victor?
Get a grip it's a new side a new manager and still your not happy?
"UNBELIEVABLE "🤪🤪.

2.) 01 Oct 2019 23:44:17
Samba was great barring the goal as he was lazy thinking the block from defenders had worked should have saved it but redeemed himself later.

3.) 02 Oct 2019 06:48:39
I would say last year we would of played crap and lost because our heads lowered when the opposistion scored but now we have a fighting mentallity and keep going till the end. For me this is a 100% improvement from last season and to be fair if we can go away to place like Blackburn and get a point then its a good nights work. COYRs.

4.) 02 Oct 2019 10:17:52
The Rovers fans were thankful for a point as they recognised what a strong well organised team Forest were so your comment is off the mark Redfrog!

Our only fault was letting the game open up after equalizing instead of pressing them higher up the pitch which put us under pressure late on but we never really looked like losing.

5.) 02 Oct 2019 15:11:36
I couldn't quite believe the angle Armstrong finished from. Great finish from Lolley, thought he should have scored in the first minute but would have taken a point before kick off.

We conceded so many corners last night and previous years we would have conceded at least one of those, we are so much more resilient. Tough game on Sat ahead but here isn't many easy ones.

6.) 02 Oct 2019 20:55:42
Well summed up Ginger!

7.) 02 Oct 2019 22:03:53
I thought it a very entertaining championship game on a filthy rainy day, it had passion and every player from both sides gave everything, its not premier league football but it was good honest hard working teams who gave their all.
We'd have lost that last season with a thrashing that's how far Lamouchi has taken us in a short time.

28 Jul 2019 18:44:10
We are now being linked with the Wolves forward Rafa Mir. He was with second division side Las Palmas, netting seven times in 30 league apps last season.

WHO?

Never heard of him, surely not another low scoring striker. We need better if we are serious about promotion.

RedFrog

1.) 28 Jul 2019 19:10:48
Some want young and hungry players, he is 22, some want proven talent, they either want huge wages, are expensive to buy, injury prone or all of the above.

We do not have him yet, wait and see who actually comes in, we were linked to Hernandez, that came to nothing.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 19:13:17
Never heard of him?
Makes you wonder who forest have scouting for them?
Definitely need a decent striker though. Maybe Swan matches or flint?
Don't expect a stellar signing up front.

3.) 28 Jul 2019 19:16:42
All journo speculation as usual.

4.) 28 Jul 2019 19:34:48
We need somebody else up front I'm sure they've done there homework on him they've had long enough.

5.) 28 Jul 2019 20:57:59
They could have seen Rafa and thought they were getting their next manager. 😂😂😂😂😂.

6.) 28 Jul 2019 21:01:17
6ft3 replacement for Murphy.

7.) 29 Jul 2019 15:56:15
Had anybody heard of Teemu Pukki before he finished top scorer for Norwich last season? We need to be realistic on who we can afford and get behind whoever we bring in. Personally I think this could be a very good bit of business.

02 Jun 2019 08:41:53
Well if the Carvalho rumours are true we are just a feeder club for Olympiakos. If Lolley and Carvalho go then that’s a huge amount of goals and assists to find for next season. MON has a huge job on his hands

RedFrog

1.) 02 Jun 2019 11:00:30
It should be Martin O’Neil that’s going!

2.) 02 Jun 2019 11:58:39
RLS, When we were playing rubbish football and losing i was a against him staying but he managed to last till seasons end, we now need to see what he manages to do this season before we make those type of judgments.

3.) 02 Jun 2019 14:55:27
Errrm. no we don’t LC. Get rid now!

4.) 02 Jun 2019 17:49:12
TAP, I feel you are wrong, regardless of how you feel about the manager we should keep him until as such results tell us differently.

If the manager was to be gotten rid of it should have happened once we went on a run of losses, that would have given the club time to appoint a new manager, for him to suggest some targets, and to organise the players once they report back.

5.) 02 Jun 2019 18:19:19
I respect your opinion LC. And i’d love nothing more than MON to get us to the promised land. But to be honest mate, i think i’ve seen enough, we’re going nowhere with him as bossman.

6.) 02 Jun 2019 18:35:46
Well done to O’Neil for getting a few wins when the pressure was off

7.) 02 Jun 2019 19:55:58
It's is obvious that Forest's habit (like many others in the modern era) of having no patience with managers is clearly damaging and pointless. I am well aware that MON is not Brian Clough, but I don't remember a clamour to sack BC in his first couple of seasons, fortunately. Arrived when we were 13th in the 2nd division, ended the season 16th. Next season ended 8th. Instant success is very rare.

8.) 02 Jun 2019 20:24:48
You can’t keep sacking managers, it hasn’t achieved anything in the past and it won’t achieve anything now. We need to get behind Martin and Roy, give them a bit of cash ,a pre season and a year to build a side

9.) 03 Jun 2019 10:10:10
Answering Redfrog's 'feeder club' comment. Olympiacos finished 2nd in the Greek Superleague, so probably offer a better chance of success. 5 points behind Salonika but 18 points ahead of 3rd. If as an owner, you could pay a big fee for Carvahalo and get around FFP, would you? So far the gifts from the Greek haven't worked out but he could generate funds for MON, make Carvahalo a better player and send him back if we ge promoted. In the world of business, it's called 'creative accounting' and represents Forest's only way of staying competitive with clubs lucky to have parachute payments. FTID

Talk sport news saying that Karanka could lose his job today.

RedFrog

1.) 10 Jan 2019 08:54:43
Something hasn’t been right behind the scenes for weeks now.The Chairman didn’t look too happy at the Leeds game, even if we did win,the pressure was there for all to see.The owner is known for chopping and changing managers at Olympiacos and after spending a lot of money at Forest and not getting instant success it looks like he will shortly be doing the same here.

2.) 10 Jan 2019 09:06:30
Just heard that myself.
Future uncertain and apparently he may not be taking training this morning?
Statement claims he's not been sacked but Krankie is unable to comment?
Strange???

3.) 10 Jan 2019 09:23:49
There had been talk he might lose his job before the Leeds game, but after beating Leeds then lose his job is not only stupid, but crass, at least wait for a bad performance or to lose a game. We are still basking in the glory of beating a old foe, and a top team this season.

Well with the worst attempts at goal ratio in our league it’s a must that we get creative players through the door in the January transfer window. A decent winger and a striker are a must, and please can we send Mir back? What the obsession is at our club with following Wolves and signing some of their players is ridiculous, just because they are a good side now doesn’t automatically mean we will be if we follow in their footsteps. Just hope the super agent hasn’t got any influence in January or we could be signing more like Carvalho Goncalves and Dias.

RedFrog

1.) 08 Dec 2019 17:10:52
Red frog, it was probably worth a go, there was probably as much chance of it coming off than not. In thought at least one of them would come off but alas I think it’s unlikely now.

2.) 08 Dec 2019 17:20:10
2star although hindsight is a wonderfull thing we should have gotten all three on loan then agreed to a higher fee for each one than was agreed in the end.

3.) 08 Dec 2019 17:39:34
I don’t disagree, we tried something different and it didn’t come off - we just have to move on now - I still believe we will offload in Jan.

4.) 08 Dec 2019 17:54:01
With the worst attempts at goal we aren't doing too badly are we?
The owners have at least tried different approaches to signing players that on the whole have been more miss than hit but now we have a better scouting structure and everything takes time to get it right.
I hope this window to just see two or three quality additions wether they are permanent or loans doesn't matter, just don't want wholesale signings and I believe the owners will be happy with our position in the league and will just add that quality.
Interesting you say we need a quality winger, we actually have two if not three in lolley, adhoma and cash if jenkinson was fit.
We need a goalscoring midfielder that can score from free kicks and deliver corners that hurt.

5.) 08 Dec 2019 18:43:42
I agree with a lot of what you said 79 but Jenkinson showed at Arsenal, and has carried that mantra he can not stay fit for long enough to show his ability. Adomah is very much hit and miss, and Lolley is almost nailed on to start when fit he has lost his edge.

6.) 08 Dec 2019 19:02:33
Interesting you say lolley has lost his edge?
So has carvalho, you don't become a bad player overnight, sometimes it's a loss of form, but I'm confiboth players will come through it.
Watson lost more than his edge last season but now looks a different player.
Worrall and matty and Yates proving the doubters that our academy players can be part of a successful team.
I think we should all just enjoy this season no matter what and see it as a real progression for once.

7.) 08 Dec 2019 19:03:17
One person I would have in January is walker back I think he's earnt his chance now remember this is our first season under lamouchi I think he needs 2 so bonus if we it top 6 this season but my thinking is it will be next season.

8.) 08 Dec 2019 19:09:30
I'm with you on that one skeggs.
Bad decision to allow him out on loan with no cover for grabban and then sign a waste of space at the last minute.

9.) 08 Dec 2019 19:30:14
79 you misunderstand me, with Lolley i think he knows he is going to start way more times than not so has become complacent because he knows no one is good enough to keep him out of the team for a long period of time. Carvalho's edge has always been blunted very quickly are it became a keen one. You are right about Worrall, Yates, and Watson, i am pleased with our season so far under Sabri but there are always going to be players that lose form but in certain positions we have not got players that can keep that place should they get their chance.

10.) 08 Dec 2019 20:06:00
Didnt misunderstand my friend on lolley, I can't and won't fault his commitment he's just out of form, he's not being complacent he just isn't reaching the level of form he showed last season, it happens look at a class player like dele Ali struggled for six months or more but now back to his best.
A teams conference is the biggest thing in football but even when a team is confident some players will lose form, but if you have the ability which lolley and cavs have they will come good.
A couple of good games and few goals and they'll be unstoppable.
You see when players are confident and
One thing I admire about Lamouchi is how is how he fills his players with confidence and isn't afraid to say he got it wrong at times, but he's got us at the right end of the table and a few additions will secure us promotion.

02 Nov 2019 16:58:44
No vintage football but job done. Made an uncomfortable last few minutes with conceding a late goal, but a useful win against a team that will most probably be relegated come the end of the season.

RedFrog

1.) 02 Nov 2019 17:08:27
Thank you Reds. 👏.

25 Oct 2019 14:18:37
Let’s hope for a better result tomorrow but I have to say there have been several times this season that our football has been boring, nothing going forward and no creativity. I’m now convinced that Carvalho isn’t the real deal, Lolley a shadow of last season and Silva a big disappointment. Mir is another Wolves flop, the only bright spots being Worrall, Samba, Sow and Semedo.

RedFrog

1.) 25 Oct 2019 15:19:48
Carvalho although is a skillful player he lacks the mentality and physicality to earn the right to impose his skill and control games, he could be better at Oylmpicas.

2.) 25 Oct 2019 16:48:37
For me the carvalho debate was over 20 games ago he's no good simple we haven't lost owt because olympiacos will take him the sooner the better so we can reinvest some money hopefully next transfer window.

3.) 25 Oct 2019 17:13:35
Skegsjay I think he will go nowhere untill the summer, i know his fee is spread over his contract but for his fee we could have gotten a proven Championship midfielder, may be had change as well. If only his attitude and physicality matched his talent.

4.) 25 Oct 2019 18:23:13
Carvhalo much better playing in the wing which is where he carved Middlesbrough up last season.

5.) 25 Oct 2019 18:54:47
I can think of a good wing he can play on a Boeing 737 on his way over to olympiacos.

6.) 25 Oct 2019 19:20:01
Funny that because one of the key reasons for wanting the dinosaur out appeared to be because of his mismanagement of Carvalho.

7.) 25 Oct 2019 19:21:34
Give Silva the role Cav plays and you will see a lot more from him. He has the passion and ability
COYR.

8.) 25 Oct 2019 19:29:55
Carvalhio had a handful of decent games a bit like John Barnes for England one good game in 10. A few clever passes for goal opportunities doesn't cut it I'm afraid. Maybe Lamouchi has to play him for his fee but I wouldn't have him in the squad period. We got to stop unearthing these 'gems' from abroad like Carvalhio and Silva good for the Portugese and Spanish leagues but not fit enough for any English league. Too physical here for them think they'd struggle in the first division to be honest. Look we tried it and it hasn't worked they tried to adapt their pretty football to our game but it just hasn't worked so let's move on hopefully in the next transfer window.

9.) 25 Oct 2019 20:37:08
John Barns however was brilliant for his club, Watford over achieved because of his displays for them.

10.) 25 Oct 2019 20:41:43
Some fans seem dazzled by the occasional back heel or flick, there is no substance to Jc’s game, as for olympiacos, he wouldn’t get anywhere near their team.

11.) 25 Oct 2019 21:03:01
Yes GMD Barnes was sensational for Liverpool and Watford but for England was only good for rapping lol just like Carvalhio is only good at being Peter Andre's look alike.

12.) 25 Oct 2019 21:42:39
Boys we lose two games and all of sudden the coach is crap and so are most of the players?
Alot is down to injuries and tomorrow we will probably see the same sort of side out as the options are very limited except for sticking a couple of kids in.
Lamouchi didn't sign this new batchelor the previous batch of players the dof did and out of all of them only sow semedo samba and Ribeiro look the part and ameobi because the opposition don't know what he's likely to do because the lad has no idea what he's going to do either, but it works somehow.
A lot of bad signings from the dof.
We will just have to get through this latest injury crisis, Yates will be a bonus
All could change and we could be second tomorrow night so let's give the players on the pitch our support along with the coach, be quiet on here if we win that's a dead cert. 🤔🤔🤔.

13.) 25 Oct 2019 22:03:50
79 you have gone from moaning about some of us calling the players crap to then having said the dof signed crap players, think about it?

14.) 25 Oct 2019 22:17:15
Some forest fans on here take joy in players having bad games. It’s very bizarre.

15.) 25 Oct 2019 22:58:39
I said from day one we were signing players in bulk without any idea how good they were going back to karanka first January window, I'd guess we've signed two teams in 18 months and most are crap and a lot been discarded or moved on.
I'm just putting across that Lamouchi is a coach and has little say in who we sign and while the dof has made a few good signings I think anyone could manage that with the bulk he's been allowed to bring in.

The players we had start the season didn't deserve flak the ones that make up the squad do as they in general aren't good enough as has been seen with bostock and few others that fail to impress and are not capable of filling a void when key players get injured.

We have a big squad but only about sixteen of them can you count as quality that can get results.
There is no need to criticise when your winning games and the only reason we have lost a couple is down to injuries.
I'd throw clough into the mix tomorrow along with Yates and yacob but we all know Lamouchi is not allowed to pick two them.

16.) 25 Oct 2019 23:22:52
Redtree yep I have been going down to the city ground since I was a boy and then all over the country and Europe too in the desperate hope that some poor unfortunate forest player will have a bad game so I can slate him lol, it’s your post that’s ‘ very bizarre ‘ mate I just get bored with people on here trying to convince me that certain players are quality when they hardly ever give a performance, and when they give 1decent performance, it seems to give them a free pass for the next 10 games, that’s if your comment was aimed at me of course lol.

17.) 25 Oct 2019 23:31:41
We seem to be moaning about 0ne player when most of the team are missing most of the game, one thing that's not changed over the last 5 seasons we are simply to slow moving the ball, lacking movement and afraid to have a shot, I think we're missing semedo as for carvalho I'm on the fence.

18.) 26 Oct 2019 06:33:02
Dan 1975 think the fact that your still on the fence after over a season and a quarter about a bloke who cost over 2 and a half times our club record fee says it all,

19.) 26 Oct 2019 08:34:56
Dan you’re right to slow - game lost in midfield.

20.) 26 Oct 2019 11:02:29
79 Has anyone blamed Sabri for any of the poor players the club have bought in since our Greek magnet officially became our owner? There have been a couple of mischievous people question how long Sabri will last, and we all have moaned at some point about some players that the club has had, and still has but none have blamed Sabri for being brought in, have they? Though you could give some blame to Karanka for Carvalho and the other players brought in under his tenure.

21.) 26 Oct 2019 11:04:43
Stevie I am not even talking about you. You’re very bizarre though. 😂.

I’ve been saying it for weeks, we are not creative and are in a false league position. You need to score goals to win games.

About as mobile as Murphy.
What is going on? DOF is useless, do we have a scouting network in this country? The foreign experiment failed last season, it’s going the same this time round. Filling the club with loanees and nondescripts from the continent. We are a laughing stock.

I don’t know what the infatuation is at our club with Portuguese players. Surely there must be some gems in the French or Spanish leagues? Just because an influx of quality Portuguese players has worked for Wolves doesn’t mean to say it will work for us. Dias and Goncalves were frankly laughable, Figuerado injured a lot. Carvalho shows promise but no where near his ridiculous price tag.

As an aside, what’s happened to our promising youngsters- Johnson and Mighten? If Carvalho and Mir keep getting chances then surely they are worth a punt?

I’ve been a big defender of Carvalho last season- got to give him a chance- but how many chances does it take? It’s blatantly obvious that he’s not upto Championship football now, big disappointment.

Semedo and Bostock look good, the new keeper Samba might prove decent too. The rest sadly look out of their depth. Such a shame, with three top additions to last years squad and a proven striker we would have been challengers for promotion.
The DOF has to understand, it’s not quantity that gets you out of this league but quality.
