Rumour: Apparently we have bid 40 mill for Harrison Armstrong, the Everton youngster. ?
1.) 29 Aug 2026 14:08:43
Please make this true.
2.) 29 Aug 2026 16:18:36
I've seen that too, Everton fans seriously unhappy about it, always a good sign.
25 Aug 2026 14:52:27
Rumour: French media are reporting that we are in talks to sign Luis Suarez from Sporting, 38 goals in 53 appearances. No price has been quoted. He's 28 and a full Colombian international. Was at Watford earlier in his career. ?
1.) 25 Aug 2026 17:21:25
I wish.....
2.) 25 Aug 2026 17:53:31
Tbh mate, I thought the same, but heyho, you never know. At least we've finally got our fingers in several pies. It's been reported on a few sites, so there must be some substance to it. ?
25 Aug 2026 11:15:06
Rumour: Bakwa of the Le Mastiffs (Lille) on a loan to buy deal. ?
1.) 25 Aug 2026 13:07:47
To the**.
24 Aug 2026 19:37:36
Breaking News, you heard it here first: Forest have opened talks with Chelski over Delap. This isn't a rumour, our transfer team is in London and are at the Fulham game tonight. ?
1.) 24 Aug 2026 20:44:48
Probably just gone to watch Fulham then. Delaps not even in the match day squad.
2.) 24 Aug 2026 20:55:07
Beeb Sport are now reporting it too. Guess my eyes ain't that bad. ?
3.) 24 Aug 2026 20:55:07
Yes. Loan to buy. Delap is an enigma to me. Great in that first season in Prem for Ipswich, but I saw him live 5 times at Chelsea last year, as my neighbour is sadly a Chelsea fan, and he honestly looked absolutely awful.
For me, I'd like to see more in midfield, and maybe another wing back or two. A lot on MGW's shoulders if we don't have someone with more steel in there alongside him.
20 Aug 2026 19:46:27
Marc Casado, 22 years old, plays in midfield for Barca, 2 caps for Spanish senior side. According to a few outlets we are sniffing around him as Barca have left him out of their squad. ?
1.) 21 Aug 2026 15:41:32
The suspense is killing me. I just want to see a Wb and Mf over the line so we only have to wait to see whether they drop the price on Delap on deadline day.
Please don't leave it to the last minute, @Syrianos/Marinakis!

To put Neco's goal controversy to bed, Sky Sports News has a different angle of the video, taken from the top right corner. It does hit his hand just as it crosses the line. Debatable if that counts as clear and obvious though. ?
1.) 07 Sep 2026 13:55:10
Well, whatever it was, it wasn't "clear and obvious". If it had been, the Spurs players would have been going mad about it. They didn't; the referee gave the goal, but VAR decided to stick their oar in, and after what seemed an eternity decided it was "a clear and obvious mistake". The fact it took so long proved that it wasn't. Door handles!
06 Sep 2026 11:12:18
I still don't get it, not coming across very well?, what our ancestors fought for?, am I being rude saying football has nothing to do with war? As a former member of the Armed Forces myself, I think I'm perfectly within my rights to question the link between football and warfare.
I personally think it's was a bo***cks reply from someone who didn't read the post before jumping to conclusions.
But sod you lot, I've actually had enough of reading the depressing rubbish most of you write. Enjoy you silly old farts, over and out. ?
1.) 06 Sep 2026 13:07:59
Ignore them rrh there all on antidepressants living with themselves ? and maybe if they gave the players guns and they shot at it each other I could understand to.
2.) 06 Sep 2026 15:50:16
RRH, I'm with Bowie on this one. There is a link between football and war. The most obvious one recently was when the Argentinians unfurled a "Malvinas" flag after their football victory over us at the World Cup, mate. There are loads of sporting examples.
To paraphrase Carl Von Clausewitz's famous dictum, "Football is policy by other means."...
I spent a lot of time in Poland and the Czech Republic. They loved beating their oppressors, Russia, at football...
3.) 06 Sep 2026 15:44:25
“ There all on anti depressants living with themselves “. You just can’t help yourself can you Skeggs?
As Miles Jupp famously quipped about the song “ Surely not EVERYBODY was Kung Fu fighting …..” ?????
4.) 06 Sep 2026 16:38:35
How's the holiday going. ????
5.) 06 Sep 2026 17:37:53
Excellent, mate! It's no good changing the subject though……..To be fair, I've thoroughly enjoyed the sequence of spectacular own goals you've scored….. Brilliant entertainment, and thank you. ???
Got to now, Italian restaurant booked and I'm starving ….. It's hard work sitting by the pool all day…….
6.) 06 Sep 2026 17:46:08
I would say you've had one too many panda pops, Stokie. ??
7.) 06 Sep 2026 18:28:33
That's Politics and Football, not 'Warfare'. My Great Grandad running across the trenches to drive his bayonet into a German has nothing to do with football.
I have the greatest respect for Veterans and the Fallen, as I've said before, but you lot linking them to football is grasping at straws, and Bowie trying to start an argument out of nothing.
Like I said, Silly Old Farts. ?
8.) 06 Sep 2026 19:46:05
Jeez, the quickest return from a self-imposed exile to date, well done. ?
Back for some more Skegness brown nosing, I'm sure. Good luck to you, good Sir.
9.) 06 Sep 2026 20:02:14
What? Skegness brown nosing? Lmao, am I not coming across very well? Rich, you calling someone a brown nose. ??
10.) 06 Sep 2026 20:20:46
RRH, would these be the same Germans who they'd played football with during the Christmas truce, mate?
11.) 06 Sep 2026 20:25:05
At the time of posting, Skegs, I'd only had iced coffee, mate. I never drink alcohol and swim. I've made up for it now though, lovely bottle of Rioja, mate, and a whiskey sour afterwards in the cocktail bar.
A word of advice though, clutching at straws won't stop you from drowning...
12.) 06 Sep 2026 20:34:48
Stokey, they also exchanged gifts, so Christmas presents are also tied to 'Warfare'? I would imagine they had a drink together as well, so coffee is tied to 'Warfare'? I suppose if they'd played Scrabble instead, that would be 'Warfare'. Bull ? argument. You old farts hate being proved wrong, don't you? Funny how the instigator of this argument has posted, yet kept quiet. ?
13.) 06 Sep 2026 20:36:45
And, don't quote someone or paraphrase, tell me what you think without copy and paste please.
14.) 06 Sep 2026 20:45:53
See above, not arguing anymore about this subject. Just know I'm right. ??
15.) 06 Sep 2026 20:46:41
I wouldn't know RRH, I've never been proved wrong.
I'm guessing you've heard of the Falklands War? Messi and friends' response was that war they lost by proxy aka football.
Of course there's a link. I could go on with further links between football and warfare, but Skeggs would start getting bored and recalcitrant. ??? ???
16.) 06 Sep 2026 20:46:45
Stokie my little friend you dont have the knowledge or wit to ever see me drown pal.and you know that pal. One case you ain't never going to win pal but keep trying it keeps me amused until I get really bored of you ?
17.) 06 Sep 2026 20:53:17
Political banners are not 'Warfare'. Please don't try and educate a former Naval man on the Falklands. ?
18.) 07 Sep 2026 08:24:47
I'll desist, as I can tell you're agitated, Skeggs. A triple "pal" in a short post is a dead giveaway, mate.
RRH, I don't need to copy or paste, mate. I've read Von Clausewitz and Sun Tze. I agree with both, and they sum it up superbly. I'd recommend them both to you.
But then again, you know you are always right, so I'll leave you in your darkness, mate.
By the way, did you serve in the Falklands? I know 3 people that did, and they are all open to a good discussion and taking on ideas...
19.) 07 Sep 2026 09:38:52
I've read The Art of War. I found it pretty lame, tbh; it's basic common sense, written in the Chinese harmony style. And no, I was one year old when the Falklands kicked off, but I had several family members there, and we were constantly fed it at Raleigh. ?
20.) 07 Sep 2026 10:09:35
My Dad worked at Raleigh all his working life. Small world...
21.) 07 Sep 2026 10:15:36
It's perhaps ill advised what with the Skegness Gay Pride weekend (sponsored by Skeggs, Larry, and your good self, Rrh) coming up, but he was mostly a welder in the Ring Brazing Dept.
22.) 07 Sep 2026 11:04:26
Was he an able seaman? ??
23.) 07 Sep 2026 12:42:46
He was very able, RRH, could fix and make anything for us 4 kids. A great Dad.
He never went to sea but did his 2 years National Service in the Medics. Volunteered for the Korean War and was posted from Folkestone to Scotland to train for it.
Then the War ended. My own belief is that the Chinese heard he was coming and bailed out...
So, unlike you, he never had the chance to try to locate the Golden Rivet on any of Her Majesty's ships mate. ? ? ?
24.) 07 Sep 2026 12:55:37
Very good. ? Nah, fair play to him, in all fairness, there are some fantastic instructors down there. Something to make you laugh. On the day of our passing out parade, it was like 30°, I don't cope well in hot weather.
I remember my mate whispering to me, "dude, you're sweating like a pig." Next thing I remember was looking at the sky thinking, 'well that's over then'. ??
05 Sep 2026 19:48:05
Like the Murphy's, I'm not bitter, a points a point at end of the day. Managed to catch final score in a bar full of Cabbages (Hibernian fans), they looked a lot more depressed than I felt. Heads up gents, a lot of moaning and reflecting on what could have been with different players/coaches. We have to deal with now not then. From what I heard, we didn't give away too much to them chance wise today and Munoz looked bright when I came on.
It'll click, the players just need time. And before I get shot down, imagine being some of the lads that have played under 5 coaches, playing 5 different styles in 1 and a bit seasons, it's no wonder we look disjointed at times. Take a breather, have a Beer/Vodka/Rum/Guinness, and enjoy, night gents. ??
1.) 05 Sep 2026 20:28:56
He came on, not I. **
2.) 05 Sep 2026 22:25:31
Come on Katie ya girl yee!!!!.
??????
3.) 05 Sep 2026 22:42:06
Lmao, watching it in the pub with a load of Edinburgh natives, brilliant spectacle. ?
01 Sep 2026 09:35:41
Great to see that the art of 'scatter gun transfers' isn't dead. Expect at least two incomings before 11pm. Latest links are Juan Sebastián Verón, Coco Gauff and 'Neil' from the Inbeeters. ?
1.) 01 Sep 2026 17:14:44
Inbetweeners even, love how my phone saved that and let me post it again on the thread above. ? ?
29 Aug 2026 14:27:53
Cracking open game. McAtee, Ndoye and Jesus were superb! Unlucky not to edge that. Really happy Red here. ?
01 Sep 2026 19:56:53
Yeah, me too, but that American forward to the Toffees has fallen through, so they probably won't be selling anymore. ?
01 Sep 2026 19:05:44
We're back in for Garner, Everton must hate us atm. 50 million plus is being quoted. Sounds like a cheat bid to me. ?
01 Sep 2026 17:40:30
Wingback? ?
01 Sep 2026 16:45:34
2 bids, apparently. Maybe his assists are what Glasner wants. Delap would get fantastic service from him. ?
31 Aug 2026 15:23:44
Sanchez is an interesting one, he literally swings from the sublime to clown on a weekly basis. Definitely a decent keeper in there somewhere, but it's whether he could actually settle himself down when he's got a settled defensive unit in front of him. ?
10 Sep 2026 10:07:57
Chelsea look awesome going forward, Rogers, Palmer, Neto and Pedro are a delight to watch. ?
09 Sep 2026 16:52:39
About as funny as it gets, bog standard as usual. ?
09 Sep 2026 01:48:12
True, Lego, but with DTP, I always found the gloves were off, he'd give it with his handbag, then I'd give him both barrels, but his skin was as thick as his personality. ??
08 Sep 2026 22:24:35
To be fair i agree with Skegs, yeah several of us can take it to the edge of whats right and whats wrong. But we have Eds to police us, just because Stokey insults us more eloquently, it doesn't mean its not insulting.
And i agree with Skegs again, twice in one reply, a new record for the donkey humping gypo?.
I also don't have a problem with anyone here, i have to admit i even miss DTP(shh don't tell him please).
After the blasting i got from a certain poster about apparently disrespecting our ancestors, which i didn't by the way and never would. Maybe the neighbourhood watch should button it. ??
08 Sep 2026 22:32:05
And I blame VP for losing the semi last season. If we had European football this season, you lot would have something else to moan about. ?
