I respect Nuno as our new manager but some decisions do baffle me, ie the team
vs Brighton. A side with a good reputation and doing well. We have now got a good consistent defence, however both backs are well capable of going forward. So he has Elanga and Odoi, so when these backs go forward the wingers become superfluous and crowd mid field. Against Liverpool he had two defensive midfielders Yates and Dominguez. This side I would have picked against a less combative side not Brighton. So I would have had Yates at least and maybe one of the wingers or Jiota. The logic seems he thinks Brighton are less of a side than Liverpool. Remember although it was a great achievement last week, the same pattern of substitutions came against Newcastle in the cup and having equalled Newcastle in the first half Nuno subbed and we went back into our shell. Elanga and Odoi don't help much at the back. I will wait and see.

Happy with the defence and midfield - great to see Moreno in and Williams out at last. Elliott Anderson is not a winger so have some reservations about that. Hope Wood isn't jet-lagged, he'll need a lot of running in him today. Hope to see CHO and Jota at some point. Best time to play them after a break - they may have lost their rhythm? COYR.

Awoniyi will get no change from Van Dyke or Quansah Jota and Gibbs White I think can

Wood will be jet lagged we need everybody on it on Saturday

Liverpool will be expecting us to play 4-2-3-1.
