I live a stones throw from Goose Fair, thankfully can't see it, but can hear it and smell the diesel oil and fried onions mix smell, I avoid the area around the forest, if I wanted to encounter vagabonds and pick pockets I would still put my bets on at Paddy Power on Bobbers Mill?,,

When I worked at Gregory Boulevard Police Station we had keys to get up onto the roof of Braidwood Court. The view of Goose Fair from up there was quite a sight. and over the whole area including parts of the City.
Non Forest fans I speak to always assume that our club was named after Sherwood Forest rather than the Goose Fair site
In Victorian times it was a race course with ( as now) football pitchesin the middle of the Oval shaped track where Forest played long before the City Ground was built.
There are old photos of thousands of people watching the horses racing around, with hurdles etc.

Can only agree with previous posts about Brighton, the recruitment is excellent, even getting two Olympiacos players when we didn't get a look in, and even changing coaches just makes them progress and get better.
