I've just been reading Forest are supposedly lining up Gregory Lorenzi to replace Edu. He's been in charge of recruitment for French club, Brest. Got to laugh the manager has fell out with him, not agreeing to his signings. Ring any bells, he'd fit in just great at Forest.
1.) 29 Apr 2026 12:02:04
Sounds like he knows how to pick up a player for profit. Could be a good addition if he's able to work closely alongside the manager.
21 Jul 2024 19:40:24
Reading that Che Adams is off to Italy. Hallelujah!
1.) 22 Jul 2024 09:32:41
Thank God for that…. ??????.
2.) 22 Jul 2024 23:52:37
Ienacho then?
3.) 24 Jul 2024 12:41:44
Some agent reported that Forest and Ipswich are talking to Iheanacho's agents.
A lot on here are saying he's no good, possibly because he didn't have a good season last year. The only point I'd make on that is that his scoring and assists record in the Prem is better than any player on Forest's books.
4.) 26 Jul 2024 10:46:47
I don't mind Iheanacho tbh. I thought he looked lazy at city. He started working hard at Leicester and I reckon he would be a good signing. Don't know what other prem hardened strikers are out there.
5.) 28 Jul 2024 22:59:41
Ieanacho off to Saville another bullet dodged?
Doubt they where ever on the list
Just paper talk.
6.) 02 Aug 2024 16:15:07
Wasnt keen on Adams or Iheanacho but we do need another striker with Awoniyi still to feature pre season and Wood definitely in his veteran stage.
26 Jan 2024 12:32:04
Everyone loves a conspiracy theory, so here's one. Nothing wrong with MGW, not playing so he doesn't get injured because he's being sold next week. Forest just need to find a replacement first. No evidence of this, just a thought.
1.) 26 Jan 2024 23:26:40
Mv
Anything is possible in football
The question Gordon me is
How much?
He's not scored or asisted the goals I thought he would, so to ne I'd do a deal at a very good price
Johnson? One goal so far?
Every player has his price.
2.) 27 Jan 2024 08:59:33
MGW played last night not going anywhere this transfer window.
3.) 27 Jan 2024 09:03:07
MGW played last night not going anywhere this transfer window.
4.) 28 Jan 2024 22:14:16
MGW will go in the summer. Not until then, though. NO WAY!
04 Apr 2023 17:03:06
Apologies, a bit late today but I've been leaked 2 teams for tonights game. The most trusted has the team the same as Saturday.
1.) 04 Apr 2023 18:55:37
ha ha, I literally just come on to see what team you would have posted:) No one needs an apology fella, your doing a great job.
01 Apr 2023 12:11:15
Leaked team, Navas Nico Felipe Niakate Toff. Mangala Frueler Danilo. MGW Johnson Dennis.
1.) 01 Apr 2023 12:38:57
Heard the exact same mv.
2.) 01 Apr 2023 13:31:10
I’m okay with that lads with the players we have available.
3.) 01 Apr 2023 13:37:15
Worrells brother leaking again. Fine upstanding chap from Hucknall ?.
4.) 01 Apr 2023 14:29:58
Toff for Lodi, not sure about that one.
5.) 03 Apr 2023 15:27:43
If you were true Forest fans there is no way you would leek team news on this forum 3 hours before kick off. Might as well email the team to the opposing manager so that he can confirm/ change his own teams team or set-up.

Obviously it's all a bit quiet atm. Opinions on what positions we need an upgrade and who would ideally fill said positions?
1.) 01 Jun 2026 05:34:18
Needs a fire sale, mate.
2.) 01 Jun 2026 10:42:44
Has there been a fire then, Larry? Or have you just caught up with the news from 1968, mate.
There will certainly be a fire sale at Leicester City now they are in League 1. Might be worth a rummage, certainly in their Academy, possibly one or two first teamers.
Every crock of ? might have a diamond in there somewhere?
Meanwhile, I will have a think about MV's interesting question. Just nipping out to get some Turkish lira for my hols....
3.) 01 Jun 2026 11:27:31
Jeremy Monga is definitely worth a look from their academy. ?
4.) 01 Jun 2026 13:39:35
I don't know much about Monga, RRH. Was he in "Blazing Saddles" opposite Mel Brookes and Gene Wilder? ???
5.) 01 Jun 2026 14:34:06
That's terrible, Stokey, but I suppose "Monga only pawn in game of life." ?
6.) 01 Jun 2026 16:35:06
I think it might be time for a new keeper. I love Sels, but he is in his mid-thirties now, and is out of contract next summer. I don't think Big John is good enough to take over from him, so time for our recruitment to go and find a diamond from under the radar, just like Sels was.
7.) 01 Jun 2026 17:26:56
I think he's still a class act, mate.
Just my opinion.
8.) 01 Jun 2026 17:38:33
MV mate, having pondered your excellent question, I’d break it down into the following points.
Firstly, it all depends on the outgoings, particularly of our "big guns" Murillo, MGW and Ando (and possibly players who have done well this season such as Sels, Williams and Sanghere). Also, as to how much we get in the coffers for quality replacements if required.
Secondly, VP has indicated he doesn’t want a glut of new players to deal with, and is basically happy with his squad.
Thirdly, before the start of the new season VP will have to assess the on loan players and make a judgement (Jota Silva, and the lesser spotted Cubiano and Omar Richards and, of course, Kalimuendo plus the youngsters out with other clubs).
Fourthly, get rid of the dead wood (Lucca, Victor, Boly for example).
Fifthly, by departments...
Goalkeepers... Sels, Ortega and Gunn. The first two are 34 and 33, but goalkeepers go on for longer than outfield players and are often at their best as they age. All 3 have done well this season.
Full backs... Williams and Aina top class, Luca Netz looked comfortable in the Prem.
Beyond these, we have to have cover unless VP thinks De Morera, Omar or Cubiano are up to it. It’s handy that Williams and Aina can play both sides. We struggled with playing centre backs out wide (Cunha, Abbott, Savonha, Morato). It’s a specialist position.
Central defenders we are well covered. Murillo, Malenkovic, Savona, Morato, Cunha, Abbott.
Holding midfielders ok also, Sanghere and Ando, Dominquez and Yates.
Attacking midfielders a bit light, especially if MGW goes. Jesus and McAtee need assessing in that role pre season. But, like strikers, they are gold dust.
Wingers CHO and Hutch were doing well, Bakwa has something and Ndoye needs a good World Cup. Possible reinforcements needed here.
Strikers Wood and Taiwo. Both did well towards the end of the season, but it showed how much we missed a fully fit pair and Jesus was outgunned and lightweight at spearhead. I’d be looking at splashing the cash in this area as a priority.
It’s going to be an interesting summer. A thousand pardons if I’ve missed anyone out.
9.) 01 Jun 2026 18:36:46
I thought Murillo had accepted a new 3-year contract?
10.) 01 Jun 2026 20:13:33
He has BSE, but that might just be a guarantee to increase his transfer value, mate.
Another point I'd make is that we have young Carmo and Tyler Bindon coming back from loans. I thought they looked good prospects pre season! We are truly well stocked with ball playing centre backs if Murillo goes.
11.) 01 Jun 2026 20:42:25
We could do with a proper right back to cover Aina. Savona should be back soonish, but he's not a full back, although talented. Then I would concentrate on a couple of decent forwards, one centre and one inside.
With Savona in mind, we'd have like seven centre backs on the books, and add to that Boly if he's still at the club after the summer. I'd sell maybe two at least, keeping Murillo and the Serbinater one hundred percent.
Sels is a class act; he has to stay, then I'd look for an up and coming keeper from the football league, preferably a young English lad twenty three and under. Hopefully he can learn from big Matty.
Bakwa and Ndoye I would put on notice, one stays, one goes, impress preseason or go. Hutchinson and CHO I'd keep. Then look to bring in a proper pacy inside forward who can give full backs nightmares.
I'm guessing that Ando will leave, banking us a hundred plus million. He will no doubt be hard to replace, but maybe a combination of Yates, Sangare and MGW in midfield could make up for the loss.
I'm not sure if Woody will ever get back to the way he was before injury. Lucca, thank God, will go. We could really do with getting hold of another unit with pace. Taiwo is the man, but I'm not sure he can bank twenty odd goals a season. He would be perfect backup for someone like Mateta who no doubt will be on big wages with a rather large transfer fee.
So to sum up, stop loaning players to Rio and Olympiacos, sell all the fringe players, bank as much as possible and keep Murillo and MGW.
I'm tired of typing now and beginning to ramble because I can't remember where I started. COYR. ?
12.) 01 Jun 2026 21:18:19
I'm pretty certain Boly will be gone, RRH. He's out of contract, 35 years old and is carrying niggly injuries. Good servant to the club though and apparently one of the "mentor" senior pros to the youngsters.
Talking of goalkeepers carrying on into their mid thirties and beyond. Remember Kaylor Navas, the Costa Rican? He played for us under SC, I think, in 2023 as cover for Dean Henderson, aged 36, and was absolutely superb!
Loads of examples going back to Lev Yashin, the Russian, playing at top level into his 40s.
I'd definitely be keeping Sels (unless his form drops off a cliff), and also try and persuade Ortega not to go back to Germany.
I don't know how we've come to have such a preponderance of centre backs?
13.) 01 Jun 2026 22:01:46
Good points on the keepers' longevity, mate.
14.) 01 Jun 2026 23:11:45
I'm sure Nevas is still going, mate, just checking... Now 39 and playing for Pumas UNAM in the Costa Rican Premier. I've tried signing him as back up a few times on Footy Manager, but I guess it's his hometown club because he'll never leave. ?
18 May 2026 20:09:58
I've voted for MGW to be Forest's player of the season. It was a close decision with Neco and Elliot running him close. I think Neco will win it but without Morgan's goals we would have been relegated, no matter how well Neco has played.
Dion Dublin summed him up perfectly on MOTD last night calling him a maverick who tries things others don't. For me, easily the best player for us in 20+ years.
1.) 18 May 2026 20:21:49.
Necco cost us the first goal, and got sent off for handball previously.
Mgw will win it all day long, and deservedly Mv.
2.) 18 May 2026 20:39:06
I've voted the most consistent Neco but think there's a few including Sels.
25 Apr 2026 11:46:29
We've gone from being totally hopeless at set pieces to looking like scoring every time. I heard VP saying his coaches had worked on them during the week. About time! Onwards to Thursday, a close game but confident.
1.) 25 Apr 2026 13:00:39
Rather than playing it straight in, they seemed to have worked on taking it short. Nice to see them using their brains. ?
2.) 25 Apr 2026 13:38:09
We have gone from counter attacking under Nuno, and at times park the bus, to reckless under Ange, not quite sure of what was required under Dyche.
Now we seem to have found the happy medium under VP, with clear, simple instructions.
3.) 25 Apr 2026 16:02:49
Great performance. Good coaching, players focused. If only we'd got VP sooner.
Onwards and upwards. Villa next!
15 Apr 2026 22:00:11
Two absolutely brilliant games in the Bayern vs Madrid tie. Football entertainment at it's best, end to end in both games.
1.) 15 Apr 2026 22:46:17
Bayern in a different class imo.
It's theirs to lose.
2.) 15 Apr 2026 22:57:05
That second leg is the best game I've watched this season. So much quality on the pitch, and the better side came out on top. Looking forward to the semi finals, two legs, Bayern vs PSG. Mouth watering. ?
3.) 15 Apr 2026 23:07:58
Bayern will beat PSG easily winter.
4.) 15 Apr 2026 23:25:59
They are now favourites. BM.
But, I wouldn't be writing off PSG.
Think, at the odds, Atletico are the best value.
As for Arsenal, think we played them too early in the season. What a load of bottlers.
22 Mar 2026 18:29:38
Two great results in 4 days. Doesn't everything feel a lot better. Long may it continue COYR.
1.) 22 Mar 2026 19:33:50
It definitely does mv
26 Jan 2026 17:32:02
He was there vs Arsenal.
22 Nov 2025 00:45:19
Taiwo will always be held in high esteem, due to his efforts in our first season back in the prem. If he does leave, I'll always remember his goal against Arsenal that comfired prem survival. He's still a handful, when fully fit, but offers little goal threat.
23 Aug 2025 01:30:07
Clearly something is not right. If it's a Nuno or Edu situation, I think Edu wins. Which means Nuno goes, I have never seen him so uptight in a press conference. Hopefully big M sorts it.
15 Jul 2025 11:52:49
Red in Ripley, are you balloons in disguise ?.
26 May 2025 18:43:04
Hope Nuno stays but big M is a admirer of Marco Silva, the Fulham manager. Ex Olympiacos man.
01 Jun 2026 16:35:06
I think it might be time for a new keeper. I love Sels, but he is in his mid-thirties now, and is out of contract next summer. I don't think Big John is good enough to take over from him, so time for our recruitment to go and find a diamond from under the radar, just like Sels was.
15 May 2026 20:45:53
I thought Yates was poor last week when he came on. In fact their goal came from a wide open midfield.
25 Apr 2026 11:52:31
I think TV said Sangare had a minor knock.
Well done, Stokey, a post without a quote from some random dead poet, only joking. ?
20 Apr 2026 15:52:20
In the four seasons he's been with us, I've never doubted his commitment. His form might have dipped very rarely, but the effort has always been there. He never hides, always tries to make things happen even if his flicks and tricks don't always come off. We'd be deep in it if it wasn't for him. That's for sure.
17 Apr 2026 23:52:52
Stokey, you're post was making decent points. Then you started waffling again, interest gone. I'm not impressed by quotes from where ever, but if it makes you feel superior, go for it.
