Another rumour for you lads.
I've heard that we are about to sign Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool. Heard this before they recalled him early from his loan yesterday. We shall see. Also Kaylor Navas might be back between the sticks if true.

Reports from Spain have suggested that Forest have approached Marcelino, the former Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia manager to take over from Cooper immediately. He was also linked as the Spanish national team manager before the World Cup. However, the report adds that he has turned down the offer from Forest as he would prefer to work on a project from the beginning of a new season. Not long got back from the Portuguese sunshine for a holiday with friends and family to celebrate my 60th birthday. I was in an Uber and was chatting to a Portuguese Benfica fan who was driving us into town. He was saying in detail just how good Jota Silva is and he was gutted that Benfica didn't sign him. He said the price we paid for him was ridiculous and reckoned that we'd have a 60/ 70 million £ player in a couple of seasons. ☀️?⚪️.

We are absolutely desperate for a quality striker to convert chances in front of goal. It's all well and good signing all these great wingers to create chances but we need a centre forward to bang them in. Wood does a decent job but he's no spring chicken anymore and as for Awoniyi, well I've never rated this geezer, a big clumsy oaf who lacks talent and ain't good enough. We've known all transfer window that we need a goal scorer but i know, let's go and sign more midfielders, a defender and maybe another goalie. Great!

Well I've just been to the vets to have our 18 year old cat put to rest which was traumatic enough, but when i was there a horrible little French Bulldog decided to munch on my hand. So now I'm at the Urgent Care Centre with puncture wounds in four fingers waiting to see a doctor when i should be at home with the Mrs. celebrating our 20th anniversary. The waiting time is only six hours though! Great! It's going to be one of those days me thinks.

Sorry to hear about your day Perko. I know it’s a cliche but once the kids have upped sticks and left home pets do become part of the family don’t they? We have a 3 year old rescue cat found as a kitten living in a cardboard box in a derelict car port in Oswestry. Scared to death of humans ( very wisely) but absolutely devoted to my wife and I. My commiserations mate but I’m sure your cat was well loved and lived her best life. ?.

I'm sorry to read your news Perko. It's frightening how close we all get to cats and dogs who become part of our families. I have to say though - please keep an eye on your own health after the dog bite. You have done the right thing getting it treated asap. I was stupid enough not doing so after a dog bite and then contracted Sepsis. I'm a bit paranoid about the subject now and I don't want to concern you - but if you get any sickness or the trots get yourself back to the Dr's mate.

Great. So we spend millions on crap, bring in 40 odd players, get rid of the nucleus that got us promoted and expect the manager to repeat the miracles that got us promotion. The new tools ain’t no good but that’s all the manager has to work with. The going gets tough, the owners offspring meddles too much, results don’t improve, so the bloated one decides to pull the rug from under the one man who has unified our club and got us back to the promised land. He will then be replaced by a bearded gooch who has failed abysmally at his last two clubs. But he is a free agent because he got the sack. Known for playing boring defensive football and is clueless, but he’ll do won’t he? And now the ones who never go to matches so don’t witness the euphoria and atmosphere inside the ground are overjoyed and considering skinny dipping in the murky waters of the Lincolnshire Sea. Well crack on and look forward to championship football next season with a massive underperforming squad. Downward spiral here we come.
