When if ever are Forest going to announce the signing of Igor Jesus.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 02 Jul 2025 20:05:32
Munmad, I’d be “cross” if the coming of Jesus didn’t happen. Someone in recruitment will be crucified, nailed on. Unless Mr M decides to just “Passover “ it and reclaim his 30 pieces of silver. Bloody Judas imo ???.

2.) 02 Jul 2025 20:09:37
Who knows. all hearsay at the moment.
Hopefully it's all true?
Apparently Forest travelled to Brazil for a medical on Jesus. ????.

3.) 02 Jul 2025 22:05:11
Seems most of their transfer dealings tied up with Lyon who are appealing relegation so who knows how long that will last. Transfer windows don't you just love em.

4.) 03 Jul 2025 10:00:28
All speculation ?.

5.) 03 Jul 2025 11:34:42
It's fell through.

6.) 03 Jul 2025 17:22:26
Jesus and Jair both finished the World Club Cup recently. They would have to have a medical after that and move to the UK. My guess is that, assuming nothing has changed, that neither signing will be announced until they are here in the UK.

Rumour is that Jesus already had his medical. If that was OK, the club must be hoping he will be here by Monday for Training, if Jet lag allows.

The other rumour is that Jair has agreed his move and we have him for £10M, which sounds like a bargain.

7.) 03 Jul 2025 17:31:38
Players are coming back on July 7th, Nuno and his team will have plenty of players to take a look at who have been out on loan, we might already have the right player here, instead of going out and buying someone again.

8.) 03 Jul 2025 20:39:52
"Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Jair Cunha from Botafogo, with the defender putting pen to paper on a five-year contract on Tuesday night.

That’s according to journalist Venê Casagrande and Globo Esporte, who confirm the transfer has been finalised for a fee of €12m. The 20-year-old is now expected to travel to England in the coming days to join up with his new club. "

9.) 05 Jul 2025 18:07:40
Announced just in time for training tomorrow.

15 Jun 2025 11:36:13
All the rumours suggest that we will lose Gibbs White and Elanga in the transfer window

Not if we stick to our 150m valuation of the 2 olayers.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 15 Jun 2025 14:01:57
The last thing Nuno needs is sullan players at the club, if they want to leave get as much as we can, the team spirit we had last season has long avaporated!

2.) 18 Jun 2025 18:33:54
No idea about Elanga, but I doubt Gibbs-White wants to leave at this point.

03 Jun 2025 17:36:04
Danilo to Lyon 20m good business imo however with Dominguez's injury leaves us very light in midfield with only Anderson Yates and Sangare as CMs

Douglas Luis would be a great signing imo

Looks like Man City have decided MGW to expensive so only Arsenal circling now

Luis/ Sangare at 6 Anderson at 8 and MGW at 10 would be great with Yates as back up but need a Dominguez replacement

Jesus Cubinasa and Jair on their way but are they all staying at Forest?

MUNMAD7980

1.) 04 Jun 2025 13:06:26
Douglas Luis looks a great player. His wages will probably be huge though. I reckon they won't commit to massive wages for anyone until they have another striker sorted and know what we can afford after that.

02 Feb 2025 10:27:40
IF and it's a big IF Awoniyi can be turned round attitude and confidence wise we don't need to sign another striker imo

With Sangare and Danilo back it's like having two new players in the engine room

Great togetherness in the squad don't let's spoil it by signing a possible rotten apple.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 02 Feb 2025 18:43:24
We still do. If either striker gets injured we won't have an option on the bench. And Awoniyi yet to show enough to warrant a start.

31 Jan 2025 13:00:29
Heard from a good source 2 imminent signings Douglas Luis loan obligation to buy and Wissa permenant deal.

That would set us up nicely for a top 6 finish imo.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 31 Jan 2025 19:41:50
That would be an excellent boost Munmad, especially as Wissa can play winger and centre forward with the injury to CHO and wear and tear on Woody! ?.

2.) 01 Feb 2025 09:27:49
I’d be happy with them two MUNMAD.

Would like to see Forest be more attacking next season especially at home

If we sign Harvey Elliott we could play with 2 10's with Elliott on the left and MGW on the right creating chances for Jesus and Wood

If we sign Cuiabana he and Aina can provide width going forward and we could play a back three of Milenkovic Jair and Murrilo

Sels

Milenkovic
Jair
Murrilo

Aina
Anderson
Sangare
Cuiabana

MGW
Jesus
Elliott.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 08 Jul 2025 13:38:00
Munmad, get yourself football manager, 23 version for mobile is fun?.

2.) 08 Jul 2025 15:46:29
Yep, we should have the players to play that system.

Surely we can be less predictable?

What about Jesus playing just off Wood? Gibbs-White with a free role? CHO on the left of a 3 and Jesus on the right? Flexibility!

3.) 09 Jul 2025 09:52:35
Like that cyclist we can’t play purely a counter attacking game next season teams have worked us out now.

08 Jul 2025 10:18:12
Anthony WHO?

The way Elanga has conducted himself on Social Media has been disgraceful get him moved on ASAP and replace him with someone with the integrity of Ola Aina

Let's move on COYR.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 08 Jul 2025 11:37:16
Since the season finished Elanga has ran a campaign on social media that he wants away!, Nuno must have knew the situation, and still extended his contract. So if he's not concerned why should we be.

2.) 08 Jul 2025 11:58:05
The profit was too good to turn down. The player has done nothing wrong. I don't recall him ever stating that he wanted to leave.

06 Jul 2025 12:08:51
Before every body kicks off and tells me Murrilo is not a left back hear me out

I think he's got the ability to be another Roberto Carlos strong quick brilliant in the tackle and a great engine and shot on him.

How about this for a team

Sels

Williams/ Aina
Milenkovic
Jair
Murrilo

Anderson
Sangare

Elanga/ A n other
MGW
Hudson Odoi

Jesus.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 06 Jul 2025 16:36:14
Heard it, read it, thought about it. I wouldn’t want to see that happen. M&M should stay as our centre backs. Murillo will be sold for 26/ 27 season - I’d say that plan is already in motion.

we will be hoping for a 100 million for him, so little chance of the club doing anything other than trying to enable him to build on last season, and be the most wanted centre back in the world. I’d do the same if I were them, I think even if there is some merit and trying it, the club will see much more merit in the millions they think they’ll get for him.

2.) 06 Jul 2025 17:21:29
Good reply 2Gold. Explains the Murillo subject perfectly.

3.) 06 Jul 2025 18:51:15
Murillo will never be seen at left back full stop
It's that simple.

4.) 06 Jul 2025 21:03:05
He may well have to play a LB lol, the Serbinater and Jair at CB?.

5.) 06 Jul 2025 21:03:30
We need one if not two LBs. We have tied down our right backs now.

6.) 06 Jul 2025 21:15:17
Spot on TWF.

01 Jul 2025 11:37:00
If Elanga is to sign for Newcastle then we should demand Lewis Miles plus 35m for him

Miley plays in a different position would be a great addition to our attacking midfield imo and bring in Yilmas as a direct replacement for Elanga.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 01 Jul 2025 12:49:19
I bet Miley plays in various positions, ???.

2.) 01 Jul 2025 13:38:52
He could be a wrecking ball to the opposition's defences?.

3.) 01 Jul 2025 18:57:10
Evening Gents, I hope you're all well. As I posted some time ago I think selling Elanga would be a massive mistake. Thankfully, Forest is no longer a 'selling club'. Why should we let go IMO the best winger we've had since Robertson? Many of you will have experienced live, as I have, the excitement/ roar-factor this guy creates in the terraces when he gets the ball and attacks. Not to mention the fear-factor Elanga creates in opposition defences. We'd be mad to let him go.

4.) 01 Jul 2025 21:46:56
Lego.
We won't choose to let him go. He's too good for that and it would be a massive stroke of genius or luck to replace with cheaper.
It will be a decision solely based on finance.

5.) 01 Jul 2025 22:30:26
I understand what you mean legolas, but if the lad wants to go and the money is right there's no point in keeping him. We have to have a squad that's totally focused on forest if we're going to get something from next season. Anyway he's not that brilliant, he can't take corners his crosses can be questionable and he goes missing on occasions. No good luck to the lad if anyone can Eddie Howe can. thank him for his goal against Chelsea man utd and of course city. there are other elangas out there.

6.) 02 Jul 2025 00:30:16
If I remember, on this site. Last autumn he was being berated. Many were calling for Jota to replace him. In November at home to Ipswich he was replaced. Jota won the penalty that got us the one nil win.

A few weeks later he came on as a sub v Villa and scored the winner and never looked back.

Last summer there was a lot of speculation about him going to Newcastle and I don't know if that contributed to his slow start to last season.

Let's hope this doesn't happen again!.

7.) 02 Jul 2025 03:44:12
Elanga reminds me of Franz Carr, fast exciting winger, but a lot of the time the end product wasn't there!, as Clough said about him "He's the best corner flag hitter we have! ".

8.) 02 Jul 2025 15:15:56
Elanga will unfortunately leave but can Forest get an equivalent replacement?
Goes to show that contract's are meaningless if a player has signed until a certain date/ year. ?.

9.) 02 Jul 2025 18:07:29
That's the way things are, been happening for a while now. Loyalty comes at a price. just look how little it took for city to influence MGW it will be interesting to see how he gets over it, mind you he still might get his move yet. More likely London though. I believe this season is going to be make or break for us. we have to have a flying start and keep the teams head's up.

10.) 02 Jul 2025 20:24:46
First few fixtures are reasonably favourable Vale so fingers crossed we do have a flying start.

11.) 02 Jul 2025 22:12:21
There's been no loyalty in football for 30 odd years, wether it's from players or owners, ask Dennis, omabamidele, obrien, sosa?
It's a two way thing
We sign players and sell players, so why expect loyalty?

12.) 03 Jul 2025 06:12:53
I'm not expecting loyalty DTP.
It's a shame Greed and not being able to fulfil a contract has been a contributing factor in football.
It's the agents of player's who are also driven by financial gain who get into the weak brain's of their clients.
If contracts are not binding no point of having one.
It's basically a meat market.

13.) 03 Jul 2025 09:02:15
Yes but players are also signed and then not wanted and when the sit in the bomb squad doing nothing and seeing out that contract they are called greedy
Coaches are the same, Ange won a trophy at spurs and still got sacked although under contract
That's football and been like it for a very long time.

14.) 03 Jul 2025 11:35:27
I hear what you're saying RV and Mossy - Elanga is certainly far from perfect. I just feel, however, that this guy has something about him that Forest hasn't seen for a very long time. OK his final ball sometimes isn't great and I agree he should not be taking corners or free kicks! However, his blistering pace, close ball control, accurate assists and deadly finishing have been plain to see - when the guy's head is in the right place. Let's remember Elanga is only 23 years old and yet is already a Swedish International. Howe is a very savvy Manager and a good talent-spotter - if he fancies Elanga that makes me want to keep the player even more! I think if we can keep hold of him, and with Nuno's coaching/ psychology, Elanga will literally become a world class player within the next 2 years.

15.) 03 Jul 2025 18:16:30
Good point legolas, there's no doubt elanga has the potential to be top notch just not sure we have the luxury of waiting for that to happen. i think that 60 mil might be too much for Newcastle but you never know. i'd like to see elanga take a long look at CHO perhaps not a quick as elanga but has a finish.

16.) 03 Jul 2025 20:55:57
There's been a lot of loyalty in football to teams. Just got to sift through them. Dtp why do you look to go at players who didn't get game time? Look at cpl of yours that were obviously bought on strength of forest going down. You know it.

17.) 03 Jul 2025 21:01:15
Red vale my friend, if the laddie hasn't his heart in forest like your goodself and me. Then fc k off, you Swiss banking tw at. simple as.

18.) 03 Jul 2025 21:51:09
That's what I love about you Bowie my friend, you say it as you see it. and that's good enough for me. Hope balloons and skegs are coping with the heat, must be torture over on the east coast. all my best to them. Should start a campaign, pardon the Lincolnshire two. Think it would catch on Bowie?

19.) 03 Jul 2025 22:21:31
The new Friday night?
I was just pointing out that it works both ways when it comes to contracts as it's not just the players that break them or try to, but the clubs break them to when it suits
What's wrong with saying that?

20.) 05 Jul 2025 17:05:57
Works for me vale bud ??.

28 Jun 2025 19:54:49
Now hopefully we will announce our first signing as Botafogo went out of the Champions Cup tonight

Welcome to Igor Jesus.

MUNMAD7980

1.) 28 Jun 2025 21:53:10
Great start wishing the laddie bad ? ok only joking munmad. Oi you proud of the cricket though bud?

2.) 29 Jun 2025 10:27:22
Very proud Bowie 2-0 this week after Egbaston methinks.

3.) 29 Jun 2025 21:57:10
I hope he proves me wrong but I just don’t get your optimism on Sangare, slow ; turgid, very rarely moves the ball forward and doesn’t really look interested. I don’t see what you’re seeing and think he’s currently (from a value for money perspective) one of the worst signings we’ve ever made. Big improvement needed next season to shake that tag for me.

As you say though if he’s had a bad illness and some injuries we may have only seen half the player her can be, if there is still a player there otbwould be a massive bonus as I’m getting slightly concerned about this window now. Hope we hold on to everyone we want to keep and they all morose again and all should be well.

4.) 03 Jul 2025 21:07:11

Uwe Rosler as new manager for me in the Jurgen Klopp mould high pressing attack minded and loves 4-3-3 was the founder of Brentfords style of play only 53 as well so not a fossil like CH.
