Truth or dare time firstly I love Yates effort and commitment to our club but he has no common sense and a distinct lack of ability
To become a top 6 side we need an upgrade in his position wether Sangare or Danilo can fill that void remains to be seen
Also we need a TOP goalkeeper and another 1 possibly two players a striker and a leg back
I have seen every game home and away this season apart from Ipswich and Yates gives away far to many free kicks in dangerous positions and slows play down imo.

Very hard on Yates, he wasn’t his best last night but we are talking about world class players, united aren’t great just now but their players have the highest technical ability. I’m interested to know who you think we might sign that will improve us? Sangare cost 30 odd million and does nothing to influence games - in fact he’s a waste of space in my opinion. At least Yates has an influence on games Sangare has none. Sangare didn’t want to come to forest - he believes he was meant for nether things - it’s the next big issue for forest, fans will want players who are perceived to be an upgrade but the ones won will be willing to play for forest won't be.
I think our squad is about as good as it is going to be for a few seasons now, we have some decent players but they are not close to players that city, Chelsea, Liverpool have. We will umearth the odd gem but in general, we have to accept we will attract a level of player. I think you’re hard on Yates pal, none of our midfielders do any better at influencing the game in my opinion.

Yates plays well we generally get a result, no one can actually put a finger on his value to the team but he definitely as one of.
That short time with Keane improved him 100% pity Roy wasn’t here longer but hopefully he still gets in his ear now and again.

The morning after the night before on reflection not our best performance but to put things in perspective we have played the top 5 in the Premier league away from home and have taken 5pts from these games
Our problems are against the so called lesser sides at the City Ground who we should beat Wolves Bournemouth Fulham and teams like this
Our season will not be defined by away games at Arsenal Man City and Liverpool but by the above
My prediction on pts and finishing position are now 57 pts and 9th.

Wood getting 9 of those and 2 from CHO, we aren't going to keep winning many games one nil, so the midfield in particular MGW need to start chipping in or I can't see us getting near that points total.

I have us down for 51points, but anything around that would be great. I’m not too down about last night if wood and mgw had put those chances away it might have been different but I doubt it. We’ve enough to get something against villa and Brentford, and perhaps united. Chin up and move on.

I think Bournemouth and Fulham will finish around us middle of the table. Wolves look doomed so the draw with them was disappointing but they played well that day.

This new euro league format might help us later in the season they have a lot of games to play and players are likely to get tired or injured. Just possible to pick up a few bonus points against the top sides in the second half of the season.
