four coaches i'd go for in the summer
Silva
Cooper
Irola
Carrick and in reverse order.

Downthepub

1.) 07 Feb 2026 23:31:32
Might as well just name everyone that isn't Dyche. that's pretty much how i feel. I'd watch things closely at Spurs, i think Frank would be perfect for us. ?.

2.) 08 Feb 2026 11:07:06
Mr Marinakis prefers Spanish/ Portuguese coach's so my choice would be doubtful to be chosen, but the Bodo Glint coach Kjetil Knutsen will soon be pursued by a big European team, why not Forest.

27 Jan 2026 09:37:24
Douglas luiz on his way to villa
Probably a good thing as it hasn't worked out with injuries
Pity though a good player.

Downthepub

1.) 27 Jan 2026 11:09:19
Good business by Villa, sold Luiz to keep with in PSR, now get him back till end of season on wages.

2.) 28 Jan 2026 01:57:23
Luiz is back to villa, awonyi staying along with Jesus, I've not heard mateta other than he won't be there next season but that's said of glasnner, talks on going I guess, a midfield will be signed on deadline day.

13 Jan 2026 22:50:53
Look all these players that get mentioned rarely happen in any window
We are spent up unless we sell Anderson
Rumour has ut that the board isn't happy with the comments made by dyche after the Wrexham game and some aren't happy with recent performances
Personally think we will stick till end of season, but a bad defeat Saturday and anything other than a win against wolves could change things
Either way he's gone by end of may.

Downthepub

1.) 14 Jan 2026 10:38:43
He was 100% correct to criticise the players that are asking to play then perform like they did against Wrexham. I've got no problem with that. Only problem I've got with Dyche is his lack of tactical nous.

2.) 14 Jan 2026 21:00:51
I think Silva will come at end of the season.

3.) 14 Jan 2026 22:34:44
I think sane monty
Anyway up i can't see marinakis sticking with dyche.

4.) 15 Jan 2026 10:05:09
Just to play devils advocate, what happens if we win the Europa league? Do you still think Mr M will wield the axe? ?.

5.) 15 Jan 2026 12:03:37
The question is would Mr Marinakis trust Sean to progress in the Champions League?.

6.) 15 Jan 2026 12:51:51
Bloody hope not mossy ??.

7.) 15 Jan 2026 13:32:15
I can't see us qualifying for the knockouts let alone winning it.

8.) 15 Jan 2026 15:16:52
?Ravers you have been rumbled. ?.

16 Dec 2025 21:55:28
Looking like spurs will listen to offers for jonno?
Love to have him back.

Downthepub

1.) 17 Dec 2025 09:07:48
We wouldn't have to drop anyone out of the squad if we sign him as he counts as a home grown at your own club player.

2.) 17 Dec 2025 10:52:36
I’d have Johnno back. Depends on how young Bakwa shapes up when he gets a proper chance. Especially with Ndoye out of form. First choice wingers are CHO and Hutch so Johnno will have to wait his chance.
The only problem I can see is that Johnson Senior would have to invest in a new scarf ?! ?.

3.) 17 Dec 2025 12:11:56
Just shows, the first team who bid for Johnson was Brentford, not necessarily wanted by Frank?, yes I'd have him back, still young but know has Premier league and European experience.

4.) 17 Dec 2025 13:43:07
Would be a great fit for our side, has got goals in him, would be welcomed back into the club with a far stronger squad than he left. Must admit the last couple of games young Hutchinson has impressed me, not only with offensive work but tracking back also. Also Elanga struggling to impress, he will be the next one muted for a move.

5.) 18 Dec 2025 14:15:44
The Spurs fans I've spoke to don't like jonno at all. Even though he was their top league goal scorer last season. From the wing. I don't understand football fans sometimes.

6.) 18 Dec 2025 19:12:29
My thoughts are that he's learned his trade as a winger, I niw believe both he and CHO could play as deep strikers and use their pace through the middle, like I say would love to have him back
Ndoye I think we would get our money back as a lot of italyeamz would be interested
To me sell ndoye and get jonno back.

7.) 18 Dec 2025 19:12:44
I think Spurs will want to make a profit on him and he cost them £48 million odd. So it will upwards of 50. I'd look elsewhere.

8.) 19 Dec 2025 09:55:06
I’m not so sure after his spell at Spurs his value has gone down rather than up. If he’s not getting games he will want out. Would be a great player in our squad, would get more game time at Forest.

Rotating CHO, Hutchinson and Johnson would give us real options. Dan Ndoye has struggled, made a bright start but has for some reason not established himself.

9.) 19 Dec 2025 10:25:18
Ravers, I don’t think they’ll get their £48m back on Johnno mate. They’ll be lucky to get half that back. Could be a good loan deal with option to buy for us in January?

10.) 19 Dec 2025 18:54:06
I'd go with that Stokey. Hopefully, he has realised that 'the grass isn't always greener on the other side'. I reckon his heart is still with Forest.

11.) 19 Dec 2025 20:22:17
He could be open for a return, he not going be first choice at spurs with Kudus there. The squad forest have got now is better than when he left. Reckon a bid of 35m would be enough for Spurs to think about it. Reckon villa will make a move though.

12.) 20 Dec 2025 16:32:20
I know think Elanga will come back to us, and Anderson will return to Newcastle, and we get about 50 million profit!. I think Elanga made a mistake and Anderson would love to return home, unfortunately it means Johnson ends up at Palace or Bournemouth ?.

13.) 20 Dec 2025 22:42:31
Never understood why Eddie howe so desperately wanted elanga?
He had Murphy, Gordon, and Harvey Barnes already and has now made him 4th choice
Ruining his career but has a nice wage coming in.

14.) 22 Dec 2025 17:13:12
If Anderson does leave, I don't think it will be for Newcastle.
I think his ambitions are much higher that them.
Liverpool, Man City or Real Madrid is his destination imo.

{Ed001's Note - I hope you are right with your first suggestion! Fantastic player who would improve pretty much any team in the world.}

15.) 22 Dec 2025 19:22:48
If Ando goes i can see it being to Arsenal, he would suit their system and style. ?.

18 Nov 2025 08:28:36
Looks like we are interested in lames garner along with Newcastle and villa, Dyche a big fan.

Downthepub

1.) 18 Nov 2025 13:58:04
I don't think the feelings mutual, Garner said some things about the style of play under Dyche, what wasn't complimentary!, still a bit harsh calling him "Lame". ?.

2.) 20 Nov 2025 12:06:24
Maybe a short term contract as Sangare will probably be at Afcon. ?.

3.) 20 Nov 2025 12:06:50
In January i meant to put. ?.

4.) 20 Nov 2025 21:39:18
He's not for free in January and afcon starts in December, so wouldn't work.

5.) 21 Nov 2025 09:58:29
I know that, minimal fee January though. ?.

6.) 21 Nov 2025 20:11:53
So a minimal fee and a short contract?
Yes Garner will sign that all day long
Whats not to like about that deal? ???.

7.) 21 Nov 2025 20:30:16
I wouldn't want to sign anyone with the first name "Lames" anyway DTP, you seem to be voicing your opinion loads lately, have you sent in your C. V. to big Mr M as a potential replacement for Edu?
Get a grip man, he's championship quality, had one decent season on loan with us way back when and since has done absolutely zero.

Stop living in the past ???.

8.) 21 Nov 2025 20:45:45
Scraping the barrel winter
Whoops I forgot you don't voice your opinion at all ????.

9.) 21 Nov 2025 21:40:01
Yep you continue laughing at yourself, hilarious ???.

10.) 21 Nov 2025 21:55:13
No your the laughy stock
And all there for anyone to read ???.

Just remember redfrog, you won't be going to anymore games? As it's not worth it, so a European final is deffo not on. The agenda? ????.

Now then Ff. Behave yourself.
Welcome back.

2.) 19 Mar 2026 23:11:47
What do you class as behaving, Gazz?
I just say it.
Do I care what others think or do?
Interesting to see who is abandoning ship, though, after a few seasons in Premier and then wanting a new owner. Just makes me laugh and realise what a waste of time.

3.) 20 Mar 2026 04:21:28
See you're there again with personal attacks. None of your business what matches I attend, and for your information, I would not attend the European Final, as I would give that chance to my son.
I would like to say welcome back.
But then I would be lying.

4.) 19 Mar 2026 22:44:22
Just saying it as it is
And I've never given up like you lot
Folk saying they've been going for years?
Well they've forgotten the last 26 then is all I can say
If you want to bail OUT when we are struggling in the premier? then good residence
GLORY HUNTERS

5.) 20 Mar 2026 09:26:28
Everyone's been getting on really well these last couple of weeks. Now, all of a sudden, the bitterness is creeping back. It's no coincidence that an individual who loves to be offended has returned, it's a shame, as we were all starting to get on the same page.

6.) 20 Mar 2026 09:51:49
Yep, the peace is shattered, Vale. It'll never change, bud. If you notice the times of the posts, it's empty bottles on their side.
Best ignored, mate. ?

7.) 20 Mar 2026 10:26:26
. ???????

8.) 20 Mar 2026 14:34:45
Well said, Redvale. So sad and bitter. I just don't understand the continued need to dig at people. Many folks don't like my posts, but they have the decency to scroll past and not reply, which is what I will be doing from now on. And I will defend Skegs and Larry, who have every right to hold an opinion.

I agreed to disagree with Skegs ages ago, and like his lighthearted banter from the safety of his grand recliner. Supporting a club is a wide church and should be considered as so.

Never give up. You make good contributions.

3.) 22 Feb 2026 19:24:07
See you under a different name soon, my friend.

4.) 22 Feb 2026 19:50:01
Get your arse back on here... You're great. Craic, DTP!!!!

5.) 22 Feb 2026 19:57:24
You sound like my Mrs. Stop being mardy, and carry on, mate.

6.) 22 Feb 2026 20:03:41
He will be back, Rogie. He always runs away when he's worried about his predictions. I hope he comes back. That means we've stayed up and West Ham have gone down. If not, he won't be back till the start of the Championship.

7.) 22 Feb 2026 20:15:02
What Rogie said, DTP! This site is better with you on it! We all disagree at times, get wound up with other posters, but that's what makes it what it is, mate.

8.) 22 Feb 2026 19:55:09
You are your own worst enemy, go away and have a think about it. And when you come back try to be more magnanimous with fellow posters.

Drama Queen. ?

10.) 22 Feb 2026 22:56:09

"You are your own worst enemy, Red Vale? To quote Groucho, 'Not whilst I'm alive.'Only joking. Get your ass back on here, DTP, you plonker. ??????Ps, I agree about the miserable folk on here. ??

20 Feb 2026 22:40:44
In all honesty its going to take 40 plus points to stay up this season
Pretty much unheard of.

Downthepub

1.) 21 Feb 2026 08:00:59
DTP, no mate. 38 will be comfortable, in my opinion. We'll see.

2.) 21 Feb 2026 08:06:29
Let's compromise at 39.

3.) 21 Feb 2026 09:06:13
You have changed your tune, DTP. A while back you reckoned West Ham would be cut adrift, with Nuno as their manager.

4.) 21 Feb 2026 10:40:59
Nearly everyone had them gone, mate...

5.) 21 Feb 2026 11:26:32
They are still odds on to go down. Just hope that is still the case after this round of fixtures.

19 Feb 2026 19:41:44
That's what this team and squad is capable of stokey, if the coach wants to play football in a hot bed of hostility that's Istanbul
Dominant performance could of been six
Right decision from marinakis.

Downthepub

1.) 19 Feb 2026 19:56:28
Well done, MGW! Thanking our amazing followers!!!

2.) 19 Feb 2026 20:45:44
Great performance (though I see you are still obsessed with me, Dreyfus)! Long may it continue. As you keep on with the Dyche stuff, I'll just remind everyone that he started with a good win against Porto. How long will it be before you want manager number 5?Keep the faith and Coyr.

3.) 19 Feb 2026 20:58:44
Stokey, this was away to a side second in their division. You saw the passing, the smiles and the goals. We'd have thrown the towel in under Dyche's starting line-up, just like the Leeds game.

4.) 19 Feb 2026 21:31:11
Mate, Dyche has gone, rightly or wrongly. We will just have to agree to disagree. I was very impressed with the performance and confidence shown. We had key players like Murillo back (him and Malenkovic were superb, by the way). Anderson and Sanghere ran the midfield, and MGW kept popping up like a ghost from deep.

Couldn't fault any of the starting 11, and the subs got a good run out and did well. I'm not sure how good Fenerbache are. They were hopeless tonight. I did recognise 3 or 4 players from the Prem, but all past their best, most notably Kante, Ederson and the ex Leicester lad whose name escapes me.

I'm guessing mid Championship at best? A great start, now time to build on that. Dyche followed up on his Porto win with an excellent draw at home to Man Utd, then won superbly against Leeds and Liverpool. Let's hope Vitor can do the same. A glittering performance tonight, but how relevant it is depends on the next few Prem matches. Consistency is what's needed. ???

5.) 19 Feb 2026 21:40:44
Fenerbahce are better than Braga and Sturm. Grats is all I'll say, Stokey.

6.) 19 Feb 2026 21:50:34
Not enough swallows have flown in to make a summer yet. Hopefully that will be the norm. Back to reality on Sunday and the double over Liverpool. Dyche delivered his part of it. ? ?

7.) 19 Feb 2026 21:51:32
Murillo wasn't playing before cos of issues between him and Dyche, apparently.

8.) 19 Feb 2026 22:06:12
He wanted Murillo to play left back against Leeds, and Murillo didn't want that. The Brazilian lads didn't get, or like, Dyche's lack of tactics and his preference of fitness over talent, and doing the thing they like and get paid for, playing football.

9.) 19 Feb 2026 20:06:50
DTP, let's see if your still crowing after Sunday. Strange how the gang of five can turn it on when it suits.

10.) 20 Feb 2026 08:12:51
Forever the optimist, hey Redvale? Did you not enjoy watching that performance? I'm confident we'll give Liverpool a good game Sunday, Redvale, and that's all you can ask.

11.) 20 Feb 2026 08:53:11
DTP, I agree. Better than Sturm or Braga, perhaps nowhere near as good as Porto? But you can only beat what's put in front of you, and we did that.

12.) 21 Feb 2026 11:32:33
By the way, if you go to Port Vale it's a "hot bed of hostility", but it doesn't mean they are a decent team. ??

Really, Skeggs? We are going to lose those three anyway. Milenkovic, Cho, Hutchinson, Williams, Aina, Jesus, Sangare, Ndoye, Dominguez will all fetch big bucks regardless if we get relegated. Just remember, Skeggs, most of the players who were part of Nuno's side are still here.

No one will know what really happened
But putting it simply, marinakis wasn't impressed with the performance against Palace Leeds and wolves and neither was i or the vast majority of supporters?
So whoever he chose to speak to player wise is irrelevant
He obviously wanted to hear from a players point of view, but in reality had decided to axe dyche anyway and rightly so.
