On a brighter note and to cheer us all up.
If rumours of his salary are correct, Oliver Glasner earned about £35,000 today.

On an even lighter note, Gazzi Forest will have to pay out £2.5 million to UEFA in squad fines and a year's worth of VPs' wages. All chipping away at FFP resources. Good old Mr M. ?????

I see that (amazingly) several clubs are showing interest in Igor Jesus.
Sel, sell, sell as far as I'm concerned.
We won't be playing any second rate European matches where he did ok and he's no Premier League player in my opinion.
Get someone in who can at least run faster than 6mph.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 29 Jun 2026 18:37:04
I think Jesus did very well for us, Gazzi. Much underrated in my opinion. Great work ethic, lots of energy, good finisher and a pain in the ass for defenders. Good in the air for a small man too. Did well in Europe and absolutely led crucial victories towards the end of the season against Sunderland and Chelsea, for example.
I'd keep him definitely.

2.) 29 Jun 2026 21:25:53
We see it differently there, Stokey. Opinion is what it's all about, eh.

3.) 29 Jun 2026 22:16:49
I always see it like this. A lot of players, especially ones in a new country, do loads better in their second full season.

So if a player has an OK first season and has potential, always keep them until you've seen them in their second season.

So Cuhna and Jesus definitely want to see them next season. Kalimuebndo, bit late. Bakwa, dunno.

McAtee will come good!

4.) 30 Jun 2026 08:25:32
Absolutely Gazzi, mate. It would be boring otherwise!
Good post, Cyclist! ??

5.) 03 Jul 2026 10:08:02
Forget all the players we were going for..
New manager. who apparently in contract talks wants a lot more say in the players we recruit.
All we ask is quality first, not one match wonders!

6.) 21 Jul 2026 20:46:26
New Austrian follower here. Schlager is a workhorse and will set the tone intensity-wise. But he's not good creatively. Hopefully, Bergvall will complete the picture.
Also, mark my words: Willy Gnonto from Leeds will sign and become a world class player under Glasner.

13 Jul 2025 09:24:48
Some bloke called Jashari from Club Bruges has apparently turned us down because he wants to go to Milan.
Pity because if his first name is anything to go by, he would definitely be up to the job.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 13 Jul 2025 14:15:33
We seem to have a penchant for bidding for players who don't want to come. Have to hope at some stage we find somebody who does want to grace the CG.

2.) 13 Jul 2025 14:34:41
He could have stiff competition getting a game, the last thing we need is a flop, he looks confident, you could say cock sure of himself?.

23 Jun 2024 19:56:31
Probably just lazy journalism but we're supposedly after Gnonto from Leeds.
Whenever I've seen him play I've thought he's a right pain in the arsenal so it's a yes from me if it's true.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 24 Jun 2024 15:23:33
He’d be a good challenge to the already excellent wingers we have in CHO and Elanga. He looks fast and tricky when I’ve seen him for Leeds and Italy.
It’s a yes also from me provided it doesn’t cost us points under FFP.

2.) 24 Jun 2024 19:24:13
Not heard a dickie bird about the interest in CHO from Spurs and others, thought he would be gone after all the speculation.

02 Aug 2019 13:40:16
Cheer up guys. Just heard we have rectified our right back problem.
Alan Hutton. Four year contract. Same agent as Murphy apparantly.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 02 Aug 2019 14:29:40
Lol Gazzi. you are awful. . but

2.) 02 Aug 2019 16:36:35
Hahahah! You having a laugh … aren't you?!

3.) 02 Aug 2019 17:04:44
A thought it was Alan Hinton!

4.) 02 Aug 2019 18:17:12
Better off with "Alan" Titchmarch!
🌻🌻🌻.

5.) 02 Aug 2019 19:37:14
You're all wrong Alan Partridge has signed a 3 year deal £100000 a week. 👍.

6.) 02 Aug 2019 19:38:04
Des Lyttle and Gary Charles have been told to report for training! 😁.

7.) 02 Aug 2019 19:49:00
Or Betty Hutton.

8.) 02 Aug 2019 21:08:27
Who is she?

9.) 02 Aug 2019 21:50:51
American actress. Died 2002. No relation I don't think!

10.) 02 Aug 2019 22:03:12
Shes the cats mother, Betty Hutton?
Cant believe you don't know who Betty Hutton is? 🤣.

11.) 03 Aug 2019 08:35:56
Fff79 I don’t know half our players names let alone an actresses 🤣.

12.) 03 Aug 2019 13:45:04

Judging by what we've seen so far at this World Cup, don't be surprised if Rice and Bellingham get booked for something obscure on Saturday, ruling them both out of the semi (if we win), which will most likely be against the so called "favoured" Argentina.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 08 Jul 2026 22:24:01
I was thinking that too, Gazzi...

2.) 08 Jul 2026 22:51:39
Why?
The outcome will have nothing to do with that.
Why overthink everything?
It's a pointless, negative look anyway.
In fact, it's looking for an excuse before a ball is kicked.

3.) 08 Jul 2026 23:13:35
Isn't it hilarious how most of those slagging the team off are now on board. Funny how tunes change.
Anyway, let's not be negative, ay.
FIFA are as dodgy as Trump, and both are working hand in hand.

But stuff them both.
I will blindly support my club and country no matter what situation, why? Because they are both part of me.
COYR
Come on you Lions, all three of them. ?

4.) 08 Jul 2026 23:19:34
Have I said in that post I'm on board?
Keyboard wizard overlooking what I've said. ???

5.) 09 Jul 2026 01:32:43
I wish i was a wizard, I'd use 'Tediouseoso disappearence' on ya. ?

6.) 09 Jul 2026 06:17:27
No it's just we all know what you're thinking

7.) 09 Jul 2026 06:32:44
The only reason we won't win a game, like all them teams that have been knocked out, is because we weren't good enough. Simples.

06 Jul 2026 18:32:02
Absolutely bent as eff that Trump and Infantinob go against all sporting intedrity. Am I disgusted, yes.
Am I surprised, no.
C'MON BELGIUM ??.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 06 Jul 2026 19:52:24
Can you imagine, if another team?
Case of "Nothing to see here!"
Absurd!
Shame on Infantino and Trump!!!!

2.) 06 Jul 2026 20:32:09
Maybe if his name was Gibbs-White-House!!!

06 Jul 2026 09:56:51
Ok guys, hands up all those who said England were crap and boring.
You know you did so own up.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 06 Jul 2026 11:04:04
One of the best games at this World Cup, fast and flowing, even if the ref was a bit fluent with his cards, but don't worry Trump's getting them overturned. ?

2.) 06 Jul 2026 12:13:06
Yes, Gazzi, I was just wondering on the whereabouts of the East Coast Patriots (excluding the honourable RRH, of course).
Perhaps Larry's still asleep from all that dull sideways and backwards passing, and Skegs is counting his winnings... er. Hang on.
?????

3.) 06 Jul 2026 13:08:26
Brilliant performance, lads.
Threw everything into it.
Superb!

4.) 06 Jul 2026 13:16:45
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the Chuckle Brothers go to ground when Forest win too. ????

5.) 06 Jul 2026 13:54:59
Probably wondering who will be on first!
"To me to you!! To me to you!!".
???

6.) 06 Jul 2026 18:47:51
The silence is deafening. ??

7.) 06 Jul 2026 18:53:48
Best performance by England for years gazzi, but no one could see that coming if they are honest
Glad i stopped up to watch it
Hopefully same England turn up against norway

8.) 06 Jul 2026 19:09:33
Here, here, that man, mind you, I was confident before kickoff along with many others on here. ?

9.) 06 Jul 2026 19:33:05
We are the best side in our half of the draw. A lot of sides are relying on one world class player, I believe we have many, from Pickford in goal, all the way through to Harry up top. France or Spain await us in the final, the best two other sides in the competition. I can't wait. ?

10.) 06 Jul 2026 20:28:18
Its hard to explain the different levels of performance though winter?
Everything was stacked against England, the climate, the hostility, ten men, but created a supereb performance?
I agree and no kidding fir once we should make the final, but only if we turn up in the same mood
Ps bellingham is something else

11.) 06 Jul 2026 20:49:51
Bellingham has really stepped up, unbelievable performances, carried us going forward in the last few games. Some of our performances haven't exactly been inspiring, as you say, but, and it is a big but, we have progressed and taken little damage. We looked a lot more solid last night once Stones came into the middle of the back four.

I hope he starts alongside Guehi, who looked back to his best again. Even Burn played his part and looked steady. I thought that Gordon put in a shift, that I honestly didn't think he was capable of. Overall brilliant all round. Watching Spain atm, their press and our set up and mindset from last night look beatable. ?

Some interesting posts below regarding Mr M.
Yes, it's his club financially but it's just as much mine and everyone on this site too (perhaps not everyone but you get what I mean).
Many years ago I was working in London and went to a local suburb pub for a couple of pints after work. Got talking to a couple of Landen geezers. One supported Millwall, the othe supported Orient.
When I told them I'm a Forest supporter, they both said Forest were their second team.

They loved Cloughie ofcourse and always looked for our results. They also said they knew plenty of others who liked us as a second team.
I bet it isn't like that now.
Despite Mr Mrs financial input, his demeanor and behaviour at times is lacking.
I hope he stays ofcourse and carries on putting millions into the club but I wish he had more class.

1.) 05 Jul 2026 19:02:04
Name a club that has class in the sacking of coaches Gazzi, mate?

2.) 05 Jul 2026 19:14:38
Hey DTP, have you ever heard about Cowdenbeath? Their chairman Gordon McDougall summoned manager Peter Cormack to a clandestine meeting at a roadside burger stall near the Forth Bridge to sack him.
Now that's class. ??

3.) 05 Jul 2026 19:11:39
How's the fishing going dtp.could do with a day myself by a lake chilling some of the ponds around here are to easy though bit of bread on top and it's like chucking steak at a starving person

4.) 05 Jul 2026 19:19:50
I would of made him pay for the burger before I sacked him. ??

5.) 05 Jul 2026 19:23:57
I presume he did, Skegs. ??

6.) 05 Jul 2026 19:38:06
That's not classless RRH that's just small town parochial Scottishness mate! ????????

7.) 05 Jul 2026 20:28:48
Getting rid of VP is not cool. It's pretty bad. VP was doing a good job. Hope Glasner smashes it up and takes us up a level. If he doesn't, history won't look kindly on the decision.

05 Jul 2026 08:43:24
France Paraguay last night, one of the ugliest games of football I've ever seen. 11 cheats trying to play football against 11 cheats acting like thugs officiated by a bunch of inept cowards.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 05 Jul 2026 09:54:46
Still can't believe none of the buggers got booked. Ref was ridiculous. ?

2.) 05 Jul 2026 10:12:39
On that note, I watched New Zealand against France in the Nations rugby. One of the French players got a cut on his face after a scrum; it was pouring with blood. He got a bottle of water, poured it over his head, and carried on.

The ref had to tell him to go off.

Footballers are a different breed altogether.

3.) 05 Jul 2026 10:34:23
They are, mate... Infuriatingly so.

4.) 05 Jul 2026 10:36:04
Apart from the players being real men, there is massive respect for the refs, which I would love to see brought back into football. The rugby union and league officials are a million times more competent in every aspect, including use of technology. Streets ahead of football, imo.

Keefe, not really seen much of the Italian duo but I would definitely do the deal because Ndoy and Zinchenko have failed miserably.
They can't be any worse. then again.

If Anderson does leave, I don't think it will be for Newcastle.
I think his ambitions are much higher that them.
Liverpool, Man City or Real Madrid is his destination imo.

Gazzibaldi

{Ed001's Note - I hope you are right with your first suggestion! Fantastic player who would improve pretty much any team in the world.}
