Gone and steven Reid takes charge on Saturday.

1.) 16 Sep 2021 09:33:10
Far too late but we have 39 games now to turn this season around, and by that I mean avoid relegation. No manager can walk in to this club as it is and get us scoring goals for fun so there must be patience. But similarly to when Lamouchi was shown the door, all we wanted to see under CH was some sort of improvement, and that sentiment still remains. A change in style, some entertainment, get us out of reverse gear. CH will go down as one of the worst managers this club had ever had, but there's a big job ahead to get this club moving back in the right direction.

07 Sep 2021 22:09:40
One thing I would say us that although Murphy has been bought in, the last signing and the interest in ferreya has vrentroz written all over it.
Marinakis needs to get rid of him quickly.

1.) 08 Sep 2021 10:15:19
To be fair, Forest need another option at centre-forward. Unfortunately, having missed the deadline, we're now scraping the bargain bucket. As long as it's not an offer of big wages, or a 3-year deal he may be worth a go.

1-year deal til the end of the season on modest wages would be fine, imo. The guy's got pedigree, just not recently. And I think he'll probably struggle with the physicallity of the chamipionship, too, but he could be worth a punt. I think Swan and Taylor (Dale) are probably a year or two off first team football.

2.) 08 Sep 2021 11:10:57
Sutty mate all that's required is a change of tactics with two up top or 3 up with two out wider.
Neither Taylor grabban or silva can hold the ball up so play to their strengths or move the midfielders 20 yards further forward to support the lone ranger.
Keep bringing in a new team every window is not the answer.

3.) 08 Sep 2021 12:52:47
I agree, mate, I'd love to see a change but I don't think its likely with CH in charge. Forgot about Silva as a third striker, tbh, but pretty sure he'll mainly be used out wide.

4.) 08 Sep 2021 13:31:00
Silva is more of a wide forward/ winger anyway, I think. A player who scores headers might be useful, though.

5.) 08 Sep 2021 15:08:01
Agree cyclist but he hasn't played for four months so will lack fitness and we need to improve vastly on crosses into the box.
To me two thirds of the signings are last minute cross your fingers and hope they come good signings.
Best policy is 3 or four coming in that are quality and in positions where we need strengthening, not buying or loaning for the sake of it.
The amount of unfit players we sign is a worrying trend.

6.) 08 Sep 2021 17:26:54
We can’t afford the other option ff79 - it really is as simple as that, the type of player you talk about would interest prem sides and even teams abroad. Players use us as a stepping stone back into football either due to injury, poor form or fall outs with coaches/ managers at their clubs. We can’t attract quality players so have to take the gamble- unfortunately we haven’t had many bets come in πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ.

7.) 08 Sep 2021 19:46:27
We just keep going down the same road though 2 tone
Remember stokovic, perquis, dimitru, bendtner, traore, lam l from the montanier days?
We are still doing the same thing, you can't be successful turning over a whole team plus every 12 months, while rejecting the academy players because we are struggling for results.
There is no plan with this type of recruitment 5 loans that is always a bad thing as you build nothing.
We could have signed good up and coming players like we did with Assombalonga and Antonio with good profit in selling them on but we go out and buy colbacks, Jenkinson, arter, who earns 38k a week with Jenkinson and colback on 25k, we simply waste money and those players aren't the type to bring success.

8.) 08 Sep 2021 22:42:03
Guys. we don't need anymore signings. The best signings we didn't make are still with us albeit til crimbo at least so let's run with what we've got and see what happens in the next 3/ 4/ 5 games and how these games play out with respect to selection? formation? tactics? and results? Free agent players are free at this stage of the window because of one reason and "barge poles" spring to mind!
Mill cafe and FTiD.

9.) 09 Sep 2021 10:17:49
Looks like Ferreya is going elsewhere in any case. Done well to avoid this one (apparently didn’t like the physicality of the English game) if we were ever interested in him anyway. Looking at his record I fear that we probably were!

31 Aug 2021 23:23:17
Now we are supposed to be signing lille midfielder niassse on loan 21 again.

18 Aug 2021 22:27:37
Well I expect us to lose heavily against Stoke then the axe should fall if we persist with hughton then I will hang a banner over the Brian clough Upper asking him to leave as we don't like his style of play and that's a promise.

1.) 19 Aug 2021 10:23:45
Yack yack, heard it all before. You must have the cleanest pants in Nottingham as you never follow through with anything:)

2.) 19 Aug 2021 12:00:22
Better than putting up with any old crap served up by hughton and just crossing everything hoping and praying it will just sort itself out, which it won't.
You should change your name to daydream believer. 🀣🀣🀣.

30 Jul 2021 22:23:24
A week away from the season kicking off and we haven't addressed our frailties.
Only mighten and Johnson can. get hughton out of losing his job.
Its obvious we are skint with all the wastage of money .
So just waiting for the loan market to patch us up.

1.) 31 Jul 2021 04:40:06
If Brentford had not pulled out of the Worrall deal because Celtic lowered their demands for their player we would have some players in by now.

Sell a player before buying any players has always been the owners way of doing things.

2.) 01 Aug 2021 08:43:01
Totally agree 79, trouble is why don’t the club come out and tell the truth? We can’t buy players because of FFP. As fans we could accept that and move forward. We had an embargo under Fawaz- we accepted the situation and still supported the club. Come on Forest, put your cards on the table. And moreover the shocking reason we are in this mess? Because of the dross we have signed over the last three seasons. Carvalho, Bong, Jenkinson, Colback, Hefele. the list goes on and on, all on huge wages and all bleeding the club dry.

If ever you needed convincing that you can't go out and buy a team .
Then man utd have shown you why tonight.
As gifted as each player is and a forward line costing and worth 500 milliion?
They weren't a team and that's their second eleven, but might aswell be strangers?
Thats why i'm pleased with what I've heard from cooper and hopfully an end to coaches coming here wanting a new set of players
every window, warbo and oniel excluded.

1.) 23 Sep 2021 07:15:27
They've built a great team with very big egos. Unfortunately they have a manager who can't consistently get the best out of them.

2.) 23 Sep 2021 07:17:49
On the other hand the league tables every season tell you, you can buy a team, because the biggest payers, and spenders contest the major trophies every time,

3.) 23 Sep 2021 09:47:50
To right stevie money talks that's what the games all about nowadays shame next 5 games easiest of the season hopefully 10 points from them games and I will be happy.

21 Sep 2021 23:32:10
To me we have broken away from the old and are starting with the new.
We've gone full circle in four years .
Warbo was our manager, marinakus had just bought the club.
During tthe close season assombalonga gets sold and we get the written letter from randall saying tough times ahead
Mcparland resigns unable to fo his job without interference and warbo follows that saturday.
The rest of the managers barring Oniel where bought in on a whim because they had a promotion on their cv to the premier.
Now we have dane murphy and steve cooper who will get their own way or will walk away.
They are young and ambitious and succesful at a very young age in football management terms and to me this is exactly what this club needs.
A future not the past.
As much as i enjpyed every minute of it i want the younger forest fans to have some kind of success to enjoy.
Its a positive move in the right direction bringing i n a younger coach and working in tandem with the academy.
Its the way forward that karanka stopped and has taken the owners a while to digest.
So looking forward to no more colback, arter type signings on big bucks that to be honest aren't going to get you anywhere fast anyway
For the first time since marinakis took over i'm feeling good vibes about us.

1.) 22 Sep 2021 04:07:09
I agree totally, it’s what is needed and thank god we have at least arrived at the start of our re emergence.

2.) 22 Sep 2021 06:25:56
Easy lads.
Time will tell remember this is Forest.
Wise words from Cooper but actions speak louder than words.
If Cooper is as passionate on the sideline as he is giving speaches Forest are going in the right direction.
Hopefully Cooper can turn things around.

3.) 22 Sep 2021 06:55:35
And listening to Coopers first interview was last a breath of fresh air. What a contrast to CH. He talks positively about the talent in the squad and how they need to realise how good they are. I think Cooper is really going to instill some confidence back in the team and have us playing with more freedom.

4.) 22 Sep 2021 07:48:49
Everything looks positive so far. One thing we must all do now is give SC time and space to turn things around. Patience is required - not easy after so many years of stagnation and failure. Safety this season after an awful start will be a good beginning along with indications that we are building for the future. Hopefully we have a young manager with new ideas and a fresh outlook. The Jurassic period is over - let’s give it time and see where we can go!

18 Sep 2021 23:18:48
Toney scored agiain todayπŸ˜‰.

1.) 19 Sep 2021 09:02:38
And FF?
Totally irrelevant as Toney is not a Forest player! πŸ€”.

2.) 19 Sep 2021 10:05:49

18 Sep 2021 17:43:41

3.) 18 Sep 2021 18:12:32
And Derby a screwed!

4.) 18 Sep 2021 18:13:13
Tell you what fred didn't think he would change tactics to 3 at back.
Hughton should have listened to him he got a great ovation from the fans during the game and a big one at the end.
Wel done steven reid got the win and entertained us.

5.) 18 Sep 2021 18:19:58
Reid for the manager's job.
Forget Cooperman.
Well done Forest.

Alot wrong with hughtons tactics though.

1.) 18 Sep 2021 17:10:36
The man probably knew the fans were right all along, just too stubborn to admit it and make the change.

2.) 18 Sep 2021 17:33:39

The only reason cooper is available is because he stood up to the swansea board and showed his displeasure losing Lowe and Ayew.
Sick of the regular managers doing the rounds with very little success from most of them.

How do you know that damson?
Even before his first game.
Not sure what you where expecting as new coach.
At least he hasn't got a promotion on his cv so that's a good thing😁.

Perko he came back as a vengeful moron, first time he was good .
So for that reason cannot be trusted ever again.

He'll probably be the next manager then.
How many times do managers get a vote of confidence from the board only to be sacked the next week.
He's just being polite and pointing out that at this moment hughton is still the manager.
He'll soon throw his hat in when hughton goes, which needs to be soon.

Its because all their problems are a result of c.v.?
Not like any other club has had the same problems?
21 pionts like the rules say or disband the efl and have a free for all?
There is no "piont" making rules if you don't adhete to them.
Wycombe where cheated by the sheep and all the sheep have done is use delaying tactics so they didn't get relegated last season, preffering to risk a big points deduction at the start of a new sesson.
Its called cheating.

Well said .
I have to admit i thought he'd be a hughton drone, but he saw the problem laat week .
Hes young for a coach too so all fits in nicely and hopefully they can all have an input.
To me hughton cut a lonely figure with arms folded in his technical area, i think you will see far more enthusiasm and encouragement in there now.
The season starts saturday.

When he was fit, which wasn't often.
Good player but a sicknote.

Well he only has to win 3 of the next 22 to be an improvement on hughton.
I don't think it will take him long to get us up and running.
Gazza there is nothing wrong with the players on the pitch it was purely down to hughton and his tactics.

Why do we need a magician?
The squad of players is fine to be a good championship side.
We had a manager holding us back and lucky for us the players bought in wasn't hughtons decision or we would have knockheart and christie here on stupid wages yet again and that went well and we had a great season.
Marinakis has seen Vrentrozs hasn't worked out and gone out and got murphy a young talented driven man who will oversee a new era with the emphesis on building a team.
The platform was set with our new catorgory status with the acadamy.
Now we have murphy and cooper and Brazil and Ried all working together.
No more signing quick fixes that inviably don't work.
To me just for once we have a plan.
