Nikhate to Olympic Lyon.

Chimaera71

1.) 28 Jun 2024 14:25:34
Really, Where did you hear that? ??.

2.) 28 Jun 2024 16:02:34
Waiting and hoping it will be confirmed. Would make any sale of Murillo on our terms.

3.) 28 Jun 2024 16:48:32
We might not need to sell Murillo. Selling Niakhate and a few others could help us get over the PSR threshold and we won't have to sell him, MGW or CHO.

4.) 28 Jun 2024 22:08:50
That would be the ideal scenario. Fingers crossed.

5.) 30 Jun 2024 11:46:51
Niakhate is a done deal.

Apparently, Forest have won the race to sign Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel with a 5-year contract agreed. Thoughts?

Chimaera71

1.) 08 Jun 2024 02:54:05
It wouldn't be transfer window without Forest buying one or two goalkeepers ?.

2.) 24 Jun 2024 14:42:16
What thoughts can anyone have chim, nobody's ever heard of him ?.

14 May 2024 11:45:50
Sounds like Mr M is gearing up to actually leave the WFCG, from all the stories doing the rounds this morning.

Chimaera71

1.) 14 May 2024 15:47:01
We'll have to see what happens, Chimaera. Hopefully we stay at the WFCG. It's our home and it's full of our proud history.

30 Apr 2024 17:04:13
Murmurings doing the rounds that we will be given 2 points back from our appeal.

Chimaera71

1.) 30 Apr 2024 19:38:26
I’d take that Chim. I did forecast 2 points back in my remainder of the season forecast before last weekend …. ??.

2.) 01 May 2024 18:46:25
I'll believe it when I see it, Chimaera. I hope you're right, though.

19 Nov 2022 13:27:05
Apparently we are being touted as going in for Zaha in Jan. I have always like Zaha, very talented in my opinion (apart from the last peno he took lol) . Thoughts?

Chimaera71

1.) 19 Nov 2022 18:36:01
Who would you have him replace in the squad? We already have to add Scarpa to the squad - presumably in place of Biancone.

There is a lot of talk of transfer activity. I haven't worked out who is leaving at this point. If we are bringing in a striker, then who leaves the squad?

2.) 19 Nov 2022 19:36:35
Thanks but no thanks , a mini Ronaldo !
CARLO

3.) 19 Nov 2022 20:04:44
Would love it but would be suprised lol, could fit in top 6 side for sure.

4.) 20 Nov 2022 10:20:12
Redcyclist: Dennis, he's been a crock of wotsit since he cost us £20m. If he's a £20m player then I'm a Taylor Swift (and I'm not, in case you were wondering lol) .

5.) 21 Nov 2022 14:52:29
We should have thrown money at Rashford IMO. I reckon we might have been in with a chance before the season started.

6.) 30 Nov 2022 19:08:26
Good call that cyclist mate ?

7.) 01 Dec 2022 10:55:59
We missed the Rashford boat by the look of it. A goal every 40 mins and joint top scorer at the world cup. Oops.

I reckon we'd have got him for £50M (the price of Dennis + Awoniyi) .

First and foremost, Morato should never be allowed near that squad again, and should be offloaded in summer. please! As soon as I saw him warming up when I looked like Murillo was going off, I said I hope he doesn't come on; would prefer Toffs. He is a bloody liability.

Second, where did the ref get the time from? Absolute joke officiating again.
And VAR, if it takes that long to check, give the damned goal! Bet Darren England was pissed at not being able to rule out or goal.

Ok, onto the match. We looked like our old selves for the most part. MGW showing some brilliant touches (the odd hiccup though). Dominguez ran his socks off. Anderson did the same (some sloppy passes, but OK). Elanga and Aina did OK. M&M both solid. And Sels with some decent saves.

Then we come to the subs. I wish Nuno would give in making the subs with the whole intention of sitting in and defending. We were nearly caught out again, and it would not have been the first time. We went from being comfortable to being a nervous wreck. Was there really any need to make them so early?

We need a big win in the final game of the season, but stoked we are in Europe in some capacity. We've had a brilliant season, way surpassed expectations. But, what this season has shown is we really need a slightly bigger squad as I feel our core are running out of steam right at the death.

COYR! Let's shout the boys on in the final game like we've never done before!

1.) 18 May 2025 19:07:40
Wow chim that last bit of your comment is the most sensible I've heard you say in a comment all season better late than never.

2.) 18 May 2025 19:17:54
Great post Chim.

3.) 18 May 2025 20:08:18
You must be in about the last bit as well Lego because it surprised me obviously if you mean the whole post you've been on the shandys ?.

4.) 18 May 2025 20:56:08
No idea what you're getting at there Skegs, but I think you have posted on the wrong thread here mate!

As for empty bottles tonight for me. Yes there are - but not bottles of booze. Empty bottles/ containers of strong prescribed drugs which I've now weaned myself off. 3 weeks 'clean' now.

I'm thinking straight again at last after 5 years on that c**p.

5.) 18 May 2025 21:05:37
No definitely right post and good on you.

6.) 18 May 2025 21:29:54
Thanks Skegs. I appreciate that mate.

7.) 19 May 2025 07:01:16
Skegsjay:I speak my mind and call it as I see it. Your comments are enough to make me think about leaving this site. Not just you having a pop at my opinions, DTP has also been doing it too. Sad really, I enjoy the banter, but sometimes it does step over the mark.

Chim please stay. we value your posts whilst others we have learnt just to not read!

13 May 2025 22:40:32
Thoughts with Awoniyi tonight who apparently in an induced coma after suffering a near fatal abdominal injury. Just because football hierarchy think that the late raising of the flag is a good move for the sport. Unreal.

Chimaera71

1.) 14 May 2025 00:36:09
Yeah mate just seen the updates, wishing him a speedy recovery ❤️?.

2.) 14 May 2025 05:33:44
Same here lads.
Unreal.

3.) 14 May 2025 10:02:55
Woke up to the dreadful news about Taiwo. Believed to be a ruptured intestine, further op today. It could easily have been fatal and my information is that it may well be football career ending. It’s often the sort of injury suffered in a car crash.
My best wishes to the lad and his family and may his God be with him ???????.

12 May 2025 23:23:39
Awoniyi has had urgent abdominal surgery following his collision with the goal post. That stupid rule of not flagging immediately has to go. It's pointless and in this instance has caused an injury to one of our players. No wonder Mr M was furious.

Chimaera71

1.) 13 May 2025 00:42:54
Wishing him a speedy recovery, he may not be everyones cuppa tea but i think this injury shows his commitment.
I posted below somewhere about the offside rule being complete bull?.
???.

2.) 13 May 2025 08:29:13
Chim that rule was an accident waiting to happen, elanga was 2 yards offside, big T suffered a needless serious injury, it’s a rule just to try to cover for incompetent linesmen/ women,

3.) 13 May 2025 09:36:17
Stevie, I thoroughly agree. I watched the game again yesterday with my daughter in Doncaster who is a physio. She’s worked for Leicester Tigers Rugby, NFFC women and Academy and England Women’s Rugby plus Manchester Storm and England netball so she knows her stuff. She said with such a collision there could ( and might well have been) internal bleeding which can be fatal. It was gross incompetence to keep him on in the part of the medical staff and a big mistake, nothing at all to do with Nuno.

11 May 2025 19:46:35
Not as bad as the media - as usual - made it re Marinakis. He was peeved at the Taiwo situation and at the bloody stupid, farcical rule of keeping the offside flag down instead flagging immediately that the offside player touches the ball. Had that been done T would not have gone in full pelt thinking he was on a genuine attempt at goal, and needn't have whacked into the post.

Chimaera71

1.) 11 May 2025 20:05:26
Nah I've just watched it, Mr M just throws his arms in the arm, once again Gary Neville stirring the pot?.

2.) 11 May 2025 20:14:17
Is it me, or does Anderson (as good a player as he is).
Doesn't seem to have the pace to get away from certain situations with the ball, or to try and retrieve it?
Might be completely wrong here, so fire away!

3.) 11 May 2025 20:41:28
He goes to cover positions to help others, rather than chase the ball when he’s lost it.

11 May 2025 16:34:53
Ok so the last 30 minutes was abysmal. Awoniyi can just leave right now for all I care. Morato can go with him. Awful defender and has been for most of the games he's played in. That was there for the taking, but as we have in the last few games, we committed suicide.

Positives? MGW seems to have recovered some of his mojo, brilliant cross for woods goal. Wood, despite missing two relatively easy goals (for him), got on the scoresheet again. Aina was decent. As was Elanga.
Anderson, drives me mad. I really cannot make my mind up on his ability as sometimes he's great, and others he's bang average. Williams was Ok, but some of our lot need to practice beating the first man when putting in a cross.
We've guaranteed Euro football next season, but what flavour still remains to be seen. We've had a fantastic season, but it's galling losing to this bunch of inbreds.

Chimaera71

1.) 11 May 2025 18:25:52
Superb after-match post as usual from you Chim. You have a habit of summing things up perfectly. Well done.

2.) 11 May 2025 18:40:22
Chim except we didn’t lose mate,

Pretty much think we will be relegated without MGW assists if he is sold. Nobody else in the team will come near to that assist mark if he goes, and that means starting with more or less a 10-goal deficit.

I’m in the other camp to be honest re Mangala. He’s OK but of late he’s been a bit hit and miss. People keep mentioning how good he is, but I just don’t see it.
Last night at Blackpool he was sloppy. Then again, for a period of 30 minutes, EVERYONE was sloppy lol.

Really DTP?

21 Apr 2025 22:23:43
Big win today and we dug in deep. Great performance from Woody, Elanga and Anderson. And what an unreal goal line clearance from Todd, running Murillo close to some of his! I have to say though I do wish Nuno would not adopt the 5 at the back and park the bus tactic. Hate the amount of defending we have to do when that is employed. Morato needs to work on his positioning as was totally at fault for letting that white-haired berk Richarlison score ( is it just me who, anytime I see his smug face, wants a pitbull to bite it off? ) ?
Back to third and rightly so. Hopefully this performance with give us a boost and hopefully Aina will be back for the next one.
