Nikhate to Olympic Lyon.

Chimaera71

1.) 28 Jun 2024 14:25:34
Really, Where did you hear that? ??.

2.) 28 Jun 2024 16:02:34
Waiting and hoping it will be confirmed. Would make any sale of Murillo on our terms.

3.) 28 Jun 2024 16:48:32
We might not need to sell Murillo. Selling Niakhate and a few others could help us get over the PSR threshold and we won't have to sell him, MGW or CHO.

4.) 28 Jun 2024 22:08:50
That would be the ideal scenario. Fingers crossed.

5.) 30 Jun 2024 11:46:51
Niakhate is a done deal.

07 Jun 2024 20:56:47
Apparently, Forest have won the race to sign Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel with a 5-year contract agreed. Thoughts?

Chimaera71

1.) 08 Jun 2024 02:54:05
It wouldn't be transfer window without Forest buying one or two goalkeepers ?.

2.) 24 Jun 2024 14:42:16
What thoughts can anyone have chim, nobody's ever heard of him ?.

14 May 2024 11:45:50
Sounds like Mr M is gearing up to actually leave the WFCG, from all the stories doing the rounds this morning.

Chimaera71

1.) 14 May 2024 15:47:01
We'll have to see what happens, Chimaera. Hopefully we stay at the WFCG. It's our home and it's full of our proud history.

30 Apr 2024 17:04:13
Murmurings doing the rounds that we will be given 2 points back from our appeal.

Chimaera71

1.) 30 Apr 2024 19:38:26
I’d take that Chim. I did forecast 2 points back in my remainder of the season forecast before last weekend …. ??.

2.) 01 May 2024 18:46:25
I'll believe it when I see it, Chimaera. I hope you're right, though.

19 Nov 2022 13:27:05
Apparently we are being touted as going in for Zaha in Jan. I have always like Zaha, very talented in my opinion (apart from the last peno he took lol) . Thoughts?

Chimaera71

1.) 19 Nov 2022 18:36:01
Who would you have him replace in the squad? We already have to add Scarpa to the squad - presumably in place of Biancone.

There is a lot of talk of transfer activity. I haven't worked out who is leaving at this point. If we are bringing in a striker, then who leaves the squad?

2.) 19 Nov 2022 19:36:35
Thanks but no thanks , a mini Ronaldo !
CARLO

3.) 19 Nov 2022 20:04:44
Would love it but would be suprised lol, could fit in top 6 side for sure.

4.) 20 Nov 2022 10:20:12
Redcyclist: Dennis, he's been a crock of wotsit since he cost us £20m. If he's a £20m player then I'm a Taylor Swift (and I'm not, in case you were wondering lol) .

5.) 21 Nov 2022 14:52:29
We should have thrown money at Rashford IMO. I reckon we might have been in with a chance before the season started.

6.) 30 Nov 2022 19:08:26
Good call that cyclist mate ?

7.) 01 Dec 2022 10:55:59
We missed the Rashford boat by the look of it. A goal every 40 mins and joint top scorer at the world cup. Oops.

I reckon we'd have got him for £50M (the price of Dennis + Awoniyi) .

Well Anthony Taylor and VAR strike again. Never in a million years was Wood interfering with play, preventing their goal payer from defending the ball; they were 3 yards off it. Commentators said pretty much the same, and that it was an awful decision and not sure how they've come to that.

We made very hard work of that. Got to say I think Nuno made the subs too early. Awoniyi offers nothing to me, and is too clumsy. If he goes to West Ham then I won't be overly disappointed.

Good parts? CHO looked classy until injured. MGW is unbelievable and was on fire today.
Anderson played a blinder and finally got the goal his performances deserved.
Murillo was class, as was Milenkovic. Williams was solid again. Both Aina (what a clearance again) and Elanga were decent.

The bad? Subs perhaps too early today.
Awoniyi is pretty much shot and falls over his own feet too often. We panicked for the entirety of the last 20 minutes. And then the injury time? Where did that come from?

Anthony Taylor was his usual crap. Didn't send that fellow off who blatantly threw his elbow at MGW's face. VAR was awful. I noted from the monitor they only showed Taylor the one angle, which to be honest was the angle that was the worst one to show (looking from the left and slightly above). The footage from showing that from the right hand side was much much clearer and showed the gap between Wood and the defenders to be about 9 feet. so no interference at all. Shafted us again for sure. Hate the moron.

Onwards and upwards. We still managed to cling onto the the points.

1.) 19 Jan 2025 16:41:13
Great post Chim.

2.) 19 Jan 2025 16:51:38
So summing it all up Chim, Nuno don't know what he's doing ??.

3.) 19 Jan 2025 17:26:25
Yes one of the best managers in the league decides to put on subs early. definitely hasn't got a clue balloons I mean we managed to rest players a bit early in the game and give game time to other players. bad mistake nuno nuno out ???.

4.) 19 Jan 2025 18:04:38
Lol! I just think personally - obviously in hindsight - the substitutes could have been made a bit later.

5.) 19 Jan 2025 19:31:53
I'm glad you didn't 'take the bait' from Skegs and Balloons mate - your assessments of each game are spot on for me Chim. Keep it up mate!

As an aside, I did notice that a Which? poll last year voted Skegness as the worst seaside resort in the UK by 3, 000 voters. Just saying.

6.) 19 Jan 2025 20:18:51
Legless I never see any opinions from you on a game. do you watch any all I see is you agreeing with some posters on here. hows that going by the way you agreed with dtp a lot ??? wo I will say no more and skegs is a great place down to earth place mate we give it a bad name to keep the snobs at bay ?.

7.) 19 Jan 2025 21:17:08
I will back that up legless. Very good post Chim. One of them is not worth talking to at all. The other most of the time.

8.) 19 Jan 2025 21:18:08
I think Nuno got it right on the subs, those lads who came off were knackered. Had he left them on any longer we could have lost the game as it was it's 3 more points in the bag, and that will do for me. well done Nuno.

9.) 19 Jan 2025 22:37:18
Exactly right vale. a bit of common sense and baldy you know I'm your favorite ? but no matter what anyone here thinks me and balloons have been right all along about nuno so keep eating the humble pie boys ??.

10.) 19 Jan 2025 23:07:21
Skegs - how can I give an opinion on a game if I don't see it? My dodgy stick is broken and I can't watch games atm. Hoping to attend the home game vs Man U on 1st April though.

I do enjoy your posts when you are sober. When you've obviously been drinking you become a very different Skegs - one that I don't like too much.

11.) 20 Jan 2025 05:22:51
So you don't like Skegs sometimes Lego but every time you offend someone it your sense if humour we don't understand. Ironic.
Skegness gets 2.3 million visitors a year and 3000 hicks from Cornwall who have O/ D, ed on Pasties and clotted cream don't agree, from a county you have to drive for 3hrs to hit civilisation ??.

12.) 21 Jan 2025 08:53:07
At the end of the day we are all Forest fans and in joint second place in the table. When we keep our spine on the pitch we are looking good value for this. Still the changes appear to put us on the back foot and holding on for dear life. Once this is resolved and positive impact players come on - we are complete!

At the start of the season, I was hoping we would finish higher than 14th, it looks like we will do this now so let's all be happy!

14 Jan 2025 22:14:29
Watched the game on the box. First off, great game. Murillo is an absolute beast, and Sels is close behind him. The good, from my point of view:

Sels played a blinder and kept us in it.
Murillo throughly deserved MOM.
Defence as a whole were solid again.
Williams has come on leaps and bounds this season and out in another blinder.
We had the league leaders rattled all the way into the start of the second half.

The bad, again from my point of view:
MGW was quiet, and only showed glimpses of what he can do (just when we needed him, he was a bit hit and miss today).
I think CHO was the same, hit and miss.
We switched off for their corner and subsequent goal. Although I do think that Sels was being obstructed on his goal line.
Some of our passes were off, but nowhere near the first half from Liverpool; they were all over the place.
And I cannot believe how much we backed off and let Liverpool come on to us for the last 25 minutes. That was a dangerous game to play with such opposition.

I feel a tad disappointed - probs shouldn't - but I feel if we had defended that corner like we have all season we would have won that.

Onwards and upwards, fellow Reds!

Chimaera71

1.) 14 Jan 2025 22:42:15
Tad disappointed how can any forest fan be disappointed after that game ? after the last 20 years of rubbish have a word with yourselfs ??.

2.) 14 Jan 2025 23:00:45
Just drawn at home to best team in Europe and your nit picking. Great performance from everyone out there.

3.) 14 Jan 2025 23:05:50
Exactly redstripe unbelievable some fans.

4.) 14 Jan 2025 23:13:28
Might just be liverpool restricted our play, not just us sitting back.

5.) 14 Jan 2025 23:28:38
The effort and commitment tonight was incredible. Players were absolutely shot after 75 mins.
We are so hard to beat at the moment and boy we needed to be as Liverpool threw everything at us second half.

6.) 14 Jan 2025 23:42:08
Yep, got a result against the best team in Europe while chelski and Abu Dhabi city dropped points, champions league here we come?.

7.) 14 Jan 2025 23:51:07
And the sheep lost, gets better and better ???.

8.) 15 Jan 2025 08:49:33
All right you lot, let’s get one thing clear; I call it as I see it, like any of you lot. No need to go on about goving my head a bloody wobble or having a work with my myself…pathetic comments. We should have wind…simple. Turned off for the corner and let someone who had not touched the ball score? Seriously? Give me a break. Funny how 5 others (thumbs up) agreed.

9.) 15 Jan 2025 09:20:04
Who's got wind ??.

06 Jan 2025 22:27:10
First things first, it's great to see the team spirit that is in this squad, celebrating at the end with Awoniyi like he'd scored the FA Cup final goal.
MGW is the integral cog for sure in this team, but there are so many other who are playing for the badge and the fans. Matz Sels is playing out of this world at the moment. Our defence is like an iron curtain, and I cannot remember the last time I felt concerned about the opposition getting into our final 3rd.
Anderson, not his best game, but he put in a shift. Williams and Aina were solid. Elanga was solid. CHO was close to his best. I still think he needs to take his man on more.

Anyway, what a great time to be a Forest fan! Enjoy. and bring on the Scousers.

1.) 06 Jan 2025 23:03:50
Awonwi chim. Bless him. But just before my legs said, f ck off. I was there with my good friend jolly at the WFCG, sitting right next to gooners watching Awonwi score the ultimate. Just brilliant. I'm happy for the laddie. Can only give him strength, can't be easy sitting 2nd best to anyone on that team, clough/ taylor be with them all.

2.) 07 Jan 2025 00:30:39
Superb performance tonight. Very happy for Awoniyi. 9 clean sheets for Matt Sels and getting the recognition he deserves. 40 points, Wow!

29 Dec 2024 18:46:22
Well the journey continues.
First things first, Morato, what an absolute performance today in only his second start. My MOM for sure. Having said that he was almost pipped by MGW, playing another absolute blinder and a goal which was throughly deserved. Nice to see Woody back on the score sheet, and for a big lad he's got quite a sublime touch; great lob.
How Pickford is England's number one is beyond me sometimes. He's such a liability for his league club. but he did pull off two decent saves (albeit we could have finished those chances better). Another doff of the cap for Williams, coming back to his confident self once again. Can be a bit easy to dislodge when he's got the ball, but he was classy today. Hopefully Murillo's injury is not too serious. Sosa did well, and I am sure we will see a lot more from him once he's settled into the pace of the premier league.

Everton look like an awful team and my money is on Dyche getting the boot not too long into the NY. Nice to see Toff get a run out, perhaps a kind of 'shop window' moment for him with the transfer window coming up.

Anyway, have a safe new year fellow Red Dogs. See you in 2025!

Chimaera71

1.) 29 Dec 2024 20:40:41
Not a lot to disagree with there Chim. I normally say onwards and upwards but we can't really get anymore upwards. Loving the ride, long may it continue.

2.) 29 Dec 2024 22:39:19
Chimaeara71. The team excudes confidence, long may it continue.

3.) 30 Dec 2024 07:39:37
We made them look awful at that mate.
Uuuuu Redddss!

4.) 30 Dec 2024 13:38:29
Excellent post as usual Chim. I think Everton will stick with Dyche until the end of the season season if he keeps them above water. The new owners would be foolish to ditch him at this stage, though perhaps when the seasons finished? I think, luckily for them, there are at least 3 worse teams than Everton.

27 Dec 2024 12:20:01
Another win under the belt. Finally the WFCG is looking more and more like the fortress we used to know. Initially I thought Elanga was having a mare in the first 10 minutes of the game, with some sloppy passes and runs. Came good though 15 minutes or so later.
What a ball from MGW, and again the initial tackle from Williams started it all, and against the Forest old boy Spence: priceless!
Murillo. How envious must the top premier teams be - in fact almost any top team in Europe, for that matter - that we have him in our defence. What a fantastic perception he has of the game at such a young age. Loved the block he did that smacked against his chest, and how he just stood there like nothing had happened lol. Milenkovic is a Beast from the East and another who I am sure is the envy of the premier. I know people have mentioned that young keeper from Liverpool, but at the moment Sels is an immovable object in goal for us. He is unrecognisable form the first two seasons and again pulled off a coupe of great saves. Spurs keeper reminds me so much of Calamity Turner lol.
Yates is still a head scratcher for me; he just cannot tackle anyone without putting his hands all over them and inevitably giving a foul away. it's the only part of his gameplay o don't like, as it came be a liability. Having said that he is so good at winning free kicks himself!
Anyway, a nice post-Chrimble present for us all. Hope you all had a nice Christmas. onwards to Everton!

Chimaera71

1.) 27 Dec 2024 16:27:10
Brilliant post as usual Chim mate! Can’t disagree with any of that. It was a great game of football on a dark December day when the mist really did roll in from the Trent. ….
I was staggered it finished only one nil. I’d predicted 3 all before the game ( which I’d have taken) with their £200 plus attacking players and our pace on the counter against their exceptional high line ( and goalkeeper who’s a walking calamity when the balls at his feet. ) If Postacoglou had our back 5 instead of the one he actually has available Spurs would be up there with Liverpool.
Another tactical masterclass from Nuno. Happy with “rope a dope” out of possession then, bang, hit them fast and hard. They were a threat right to the end but so were we. I’m glad Madison didn’t start, he looked a class apart when he came on. I still have recurring nightmares of the Leicester game when he dismantled us ( likewise Sokanke against Bournemouth). But we are a vastly different team now.
Also Nuno repeatedly mentions the non starting squad from the bench and his subs were superb.
You can see from their workrate and commitment that they all want to play for him. It says a lot that virtually everyone on here has a different m nomination for Man of the Match. My own would be Sels, but I couldn’t see a weakness throughout the team.
As a postscript, a class act from a class club to have “Welcome back Kammy” on the big screen. Talking about big men, great to see Mr M in the tunnel congratulating the lads at the end ……
Coyr!

2.) 27 Dec 2024 16:36:40
Great appraisal mate.

3.) 27 Dec 2024 18:11:37
I love the term 'rope a dope' Stokey. I think that boxing analogy sums up our tactics perfectly.

4.) 27 Dec 2024 19:34:35
Good read Stokey. Embrace the squad. No bad eggs. In Nuno we trust.

Pretty much think we will be relegated without MGW assists if he is sold. Nobody else in the team will come near to that assist mark if he goes, and that means starting with more or less a 10-goal deficit.

I’m in the other camp to be honest re Mangala. He’s OK but of late he’s been a bit hit and miss. People keep mentioning how good he is, but I just don’t see it.
Last night at Blackpool he was sloppy. Then again, for a period of 30 minutes, EVERYONE was sloppy lol.
