No idea if there is any truth in this?
According to Sports Mole on Nottingham Forest 24 7 site MGW has agreed personal term's with Man City! ?????.

Red in Ripley

1.) 09 Jul 2025 20:31:22
Nah. McAtee possibly coming our way, MGW staying.

2.) 10 Jul 2025 07:55:39
Sky reckon we are trying to sign McAtee now as well. We do need players who are from an English Academy to meet the regulations:-

At least eight players must be "homegrown, " meaning they were trained by the club or another club in the same national association for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21. A separate List B exists for younger players (born on or after January 1st of a specific year) who have been at the club for at least two consecutive years.

McAtee qualifies as a home-grown.

3.) 10 Jul 2025 09:19:38
McAtee absolutely useless having watched all of the U21 performances. Also my mate who's a Man City season ticket holder - goes home and away every week says he's Championship class and money for him welcome! If this is true relegation battle coming.

26 Aug 2024 17:23:14
Will Gimenez come?
More twists and turns than a Helter Skelter!
Apparently he's changed his mind!
Was he coming at all?
The joy's of a being a Forest Fan!
Frustrating, nail biting yet enjoyable not knowing what is happening regarding transfers! ?????.

Red in Ripley

1.) 26 Aug 2024 18:32:24
Wish it was enjoyable. Predictable as in a here we go again.

2.) 26 Aug 2024 21:43:09
Seems the Mexican doesn't fancy Forest, we certainly don't need anyone who doesn't want to be at the WFCG.

3.) 26 Aug 2024 21:56:22
If he doesn't want to or he's not sure about the move then we should move on.

4.) 27 Aug 2024 08:54:50
It’s a classic Mexican standoff imo……??.

5.) 27 Aug 2024 10:16:38
He isn’t coming. Thinks he’s too god for us. **** him! He can sit in leverkusens reserves. Prick.

6.) 27 Aug 2024 11:15:20
Probably because he is, Tricky. Challenging for League titles and playing continental football or a relegation battle? Hmmm. Now let me think about that one.

7.) 27 Aug 2024 18:01:05
Its more than likely a game for higher wages I think.

8.) 27 Aug 2024 21:20:47
Another one has rejected a move to Forest. Brobbey from Ajax apparently. His agent said he won't send his player to just any club and it's got to be a good move. Allegedly anyway.

9.) 28 Aug 2024 00:18:25
It's a pity the Black Orchid has closed, made Roy Keane the man he is?.

10.) 28 Aug 2024 07:08:23
Black Orchid is a blast from the past, Vespa. I used to love going there on a Friday night.

11.) 28 Aug 2024 18:43:01
Black boy did a nice Bernie.

12.) 28 Aug 2024 23:08:48
Is it in the contract that he could be dragged kicking and screaming to play in Greece, regardless what he wants.

13.) 29 Aug 2024 19:33:48
Just given Forest the "Mexican Wave".

26 Aug 2024 13:51:05
Gimenez deal all but done apparently?
Was Eddie N just a smoke screen?

Red in Ripley

1.) 26 Aug 2024 15:04:02
Probably all part of the "Poker" game RiR.

2.) 26 Aug 2024 15:35:25
More than likely.

Questions?
Will Forest pull another hat out the hat to replace Elanga or will Forest suffer the consequences?

Red in Ripley

1.) 04 Jul 2025 09:35:47
I think it's going to be a difficult season even if Elanga was staying!, Nuno must have anticipated him going, we have been looking at other teams wingers pre-season. If you look at the purple patch Elanga had in isolation when the whole team was superb, he will be missed, but making him stay won't make team spirit any good, it's a shame Elanga doesn't see his future at Forest, but we wii adjust and move on!.

2.) 04 Jul 2025 10:50:48
Agreed mossy, if his heads been turned only thing we can do is recoup as much money as we can from the toon. 65 mill plus isn't bad, should be able to replace him for a snip of that. Yilmaz or similar hopefully.

3.) 04 Jul 2025 14:19:11
I can't personally see Forest going for Yilmaz.
The only problem I see is whether the power's that be can convince player's to come to Forest.

4.) 05 Jul 2025 09:22:14
That’s seemingly becoming a big problem for us red.

5.) 05 Jul 2025 12:33:41
We over achieved last year, with all the players playing well, as seen at the end of the season just didn't have enough options. As much as I would like elanga to stay, we are most likely always going to have to sell a player for big money to keep building a better squad with more options. I thought we would be 12-14th last year, am hoping we can finish in top 10 this year.

6.) 05 Jul 2025 14:13:15
I agree 100% with that post Monty. I’d be very happy with mid table, especially with the extra games in Europe. We were lucky last season with fitness, discipline and Woody getting 20 goals. Depends on who goes and who stays but, as you say, we massively over achieved last season. Plus we have 3 long term injuries before the season starts and I can’t see Man Utd and Spurs being as dire as they were. 12 points off them and 4 off Liverpool was massive for us, plus beating Man City and Aston Villa, all with many times our resources …….

7.) 05 Jul 2025 23:17:06
You all underestimate marinakis
The club is going places and he won't settle for mid table.

8.) 06 Jul 2025 18:07:14
It's what forest fans do a lot tbh dtp. Like you with nuno and sels.

Sad news this morning, taken far early ❤️.

2.) 03 Jul 2025 10:31:20
Heartbreaking time for his new wife of two weeks and his young children♥️, and brother Andre, condolence from the whole of the Footballing Family.

3.) 03 Jul 2025 10:37:55
Very sad news indeed. Liverpool FC seems to have an intimate and long running relationship with tragedy and loss. They are like that other great Irish Catholic institution the Kennedys. My deepest condolences to Diogo Jota’ s family, the city and the club ( and to you Ed1). RIP ??.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Stokey. Gutted mate. He looked so happy at his wedding a couple of weeks ago, so sad and to lose his brother as well must be devastating to his family.}

4.) 03 Jul 2025 10:40:24
Truly shocking.

5.) 03 Jul 2025 10:40:34
So sad.

6.) 03 Jul 2025 10:54:52
Condolences to the family.
Awful tragedy.

7.) 03 Jul 2025 20:25:23
Condolences, but still, overtaking. At stupid speeds. Too many kids playing with lethal machines for me. Not enough awareness. It's the oncoming car I care more about. The innocent. But bless the wife, family, friends. Takes a long time to heal wounds from (just a moment of madness) at such a young age.

8.) 03 Jul 2025 22:26:29
Apparently his tyre blew when overtaking?
We don't know the speed, it's really awkward when a tyre goes to keep control, best not to jump to conclusions.

9.) 04 Jul 2025 06:33:49
As DTP stated please don't make assumptions.
He was allegedly driving a Lamborghini and this particular model is believed to have a flaw with a component which may of contributed to the accident?

10.) 04 Jul 2025 10:36:36
If that's true Ripley, it makes it even more shocking ( if that's possible).
The inquest will reveal the full story but it won't bring them back.
Very sad.

11.) 04 Jul 2025 10:57:33
It should make MGW slow down a bit hopefully ….

26 Oct 2024 17:10:43
Looking through the Post's on here on DTP is nowhere to be seen?
Has he done a Lord Lucan or has he moved Ilkeston to Wigston?
????.

Red in Ripley

1.) 26 Oct 2024 18:03:43
True. I'm sure he'll be back.

2.) 26 Oct 2024 18:34:40
It'll not be for long he misses us to much probably just having a break doing a bit of gardening and talking to his pansies.

3.) 26 Oct 2024 18:56:13
Last heard saying Nuno and Sels out.

Probably just a little embarrassed.

4.) 26 Oct 2024 19:23:45
. and STILL it go's on.
None of us knows what has happened or go's on in that fellas life?
Legless is a great guy, who certainly does not deserve comments like that?

{Ed001's Note - it is not about Legless Rogie. They are talking about DTP.}

5.) 26 Oct 2024 20:33:27
We've all got a life other than this platform and come and go perhaps he's fitting a lot of bathroom's for Xmas the poor chap might be busy ??.

6.) 26 Oct 2024 20:44:58
Thanks for sticking up for me Rogie, even though it's not about me! I appreciate it mate. Stevie and DTP seemed to leave around the same time. Hopefully, they'll be back - are you looking forward to that Skegs?

7.) 26 Oct 2024 20:57:46
DTP has no reason to be embarrassed, he just says what he feels, and I for one miss his posts. Plus, on occasions, he has said how well Forest have played under Nuno. Someone who can admit they are wrong on occasion certainly gets my respect.

8.) 26 Oct 2024 21:03:55
Oops!
Apologies.

9.) 26 Oct 2024 21:40:41
Come to think of it Ed. the same applies.

10.) 26 Oct 2024 22:27:38
It might be because we're still doing well and Sels looks like a good keeper. But hey-ho NUNO OUT! And get rid of that keeper as while we're at it.

11.) 26 Oct 2024 22:53:57
Dtp and stevie have had enough. Simple as.

12.) 26 Oct 2024 22:54:28
Of course I'm looking forward to that legless 12 years of chatting debating arguing and always being right I always look forward to the day where he can prove me wrong I just hope I'm still alive when it happens ??.

13.) 27 Oct 2024 11:46:34
Skegs, mate, may I respectfully challenge your assertion that you have spent 12 years arguing, debating and chatting and always being right? In the interests of historical accuracy, I do recall your good self ( and Balloons) consistently saying that SC would take us down in our first season in the Prem. On the back of several thumping defeats ( I remember 6 nil at Man City, 5 nil at Arsenal, 4 nil at Leicester etc) this was probably a reasonable assumption. I thought the opposite, particularly when he had the courage to change his tactics ( of necessity) to a more dour and pragmatic system ( plus managed to assemble some sort of a team from the 30 or 40 players dumped on him). I was right and you were wrong because he did keep us up, a remarkable achievement for a young manager in his first stint in the Prem.
Please don’t take this the wrong way. I remember years ago the legendarily grumpy senior judge Len Goodman on Strictly giving John Barnes a nil or a one after a particularly abysmal dance. “ John, you made a mistake in coming on the show because you can’t dance. But don’t worry about it. I can’t play football but it doesn’t make you a bad person! ” ?.

14.) 27 Oct 2024 11:53:00
I always found DTP to be a very funny and perceptive contributor to this site and I hope all is well in his world. I’ve said on here before that it’s highly unlikely that any of us would know if any contributor had fallen on hard times health wise or even ( God forbid) passed away. A sad thought but worth considering……
None of us are getting any younger….

15.) 27 Oct 2024 12:08:02
Skegs, mate, I’ve only just ( very belatedly) picked up your post in the Marinkinakos spitting debate, when you mention 5 star hotels with libraries. Sounds like paradise to me in a winter break in a cold climate but I’ve never come across such an arrangement.
All the Viking cruises boats have a library where you can read about the culture and history of the places you are about to see or have seen. They also have visiting experts giving lectures. I was particularly impressed by young Vienna University graduate giving a talk on “ The importance of the River Danube to the Roman Empire”. Apart from slides, he would point out of the window at things like an anonymous overgrown mound on the River bank and say “ By the way below all that foliage there’s the remains of a Roman wharf which will be excavated by archaeologists next year”.
I’ve been in many lecture rooms but never one where you could sip whiskey sours until they came out of your ears…….
We have booked a trip on Viking at the end of next May from Venice to Athens with other stops on the Adriatic. I’m particularly looking forward to out of hours private guided tours around the Doges Palace and the Acropolis ( where I will pay particular attention to any spitting Greeks ) ……?.

16.) 27 Oct 2024 17:33:30
Stokey I have admitted many times one comment just a few days ago I think it was to red vale that I'd been wrong many of times the comment above was a bit of banter mate and if you know your history which I know you do it is part of there culture that beard off bad spirits.

17.) 27 Oct 2024 18:36:12
Fair enough Skegs. You are a good man with his heart in the right place. This site would be no where near as lively as it is without you mate! ??.

18.) 27 Oct 2024 19:11:54
Thank you stokey. and I think everyone who posts on this site makes it a great site even the ones that have gone AWOL but I do know they will be back everyone thinks they need a break from the site but it as a habit of drawing you back in because it's such a great site a release from the boredom of every day life and a good old banter with people who have at least one thing in common forest ?.

2.) 23 Aug 2024 16:03:13
Welcome Ripley. I used to live not far from there.
I'm not convinced by Nketiah at all mate, especially at that price.

3.) 23 Aug 2024 18:20:45
Cheers Gazzi.
It's odd Forest knew a Striker is a Priority yet drag their heels! ?
Nketiah seems he believes in in own abilities asking for a kings ransom.
If Forest do sign him and he fails to deliver his head will on a plate along with Nuno's potentially.

4.) 23 Aug 2024 20:51:50
Hardest camodity to find Ripley mate and the most expensive
We haven't done to badly with Awoniyi and Wood, even though ones a plank and the other is made of balsa allegedly ??.

5.) 23 Aug 2024 20:59:30
Hi Ripley. I was in the same boat as you just reading posts for years. Then I decided to register (6-8 months ago? ) and I'm really happy that I did. As you say - full of 'colourful characters' on here, but all part of the same, dysfunctional, Forest-family!

Ref your post - I'm starting to wonder if we even need to sign a striker now. Big A, Wood and a hungry Taylor from the Academy snapping at their heels is good enough for me.

6.) 23 Aug 2024 22:45:03
Still need a goalkeeper legless or it will cost us.

7.) 24 Aug 2024 05:39:03
Stick Taylor in good shout.
Forest have a giant as a goalkeeper use him.
Great for corners.

8.) 24 Aug 2024 08:24:06
Is the Regal still open Ripley? I used to drink in Ripley in the late 80s, Friday nights were brilliant, I used to get the bus from Eastwood, also Tonkas, wine bar, cock hotel, three horse shoes, crown? Are any of those pubs/ clubs left? Doubt it.

9.) 24 Aug 2024 08:30:09
Pantillimon was tall and he was pants.

10.) 24 Aug 2024 09:01:24
Taylor not good enough for the premier
Might sound harsh but it's true.

How can you a agree on a player deal when you haven't spoken to player?
For a start he won't be coming to Forest and forest will struggle to get quality proven player's.
This Fofana like the other player's are watching and waiting for Champions League club.
We all know if Forest did get one of those place's they wouldn have queue lining up to join.

Man City agree personal terms with Gibbs-White
However, according to Football Insider, Man City are still showing an interest in signing the attacking midfielder this summer.

The report claims that the Citizens have already reached an agreement with the player over personal terms.

Gibbs-White has seemingly given the green light to the move, but Forest are reluctant to part ways with one of their key players, especially as they are about to lose Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United.

However, there is a suggestion that Forest could be forced to listen to offers for Gibbs-White due to concerns about complying with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).

Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White on March 3, 2025
Do Man City need to sign Gibbs-White this summer?
The 25-year-old has established himself as a key player on the Forest side since he joined the club from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2022.

Gibbs-White played a key role in Forest's seventh-place finish last term, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists in 34 Premier League matches.

While he is undoubtedly a talented player, it makes little sense for Man City to pursue the transfer unless there are departures.

Guardiola can already call upon a number of players who can play in an advanced midfield role, including Cherki, Phil Foden, Claudio Echeverri, Nico O'Reilly, Ilkay Gundogan and James McAtee.

There is a belief that McAtee will depart this summer, while there is speculation surrounding Gundogan's future at the club.

If those two were to depart, it could open the space for the Citizens to make an effort to sign Gibbs-White.
