Villa has put a bid in for Man City's reindeer ?. ??.

28 Jul 2026 12:32:36
Don't shoot the messenger.
Have a relative who works at Leeds's UTd unfortunately.
Apparently Ousman Diamonde is in talk's with Leeds as Forest are hesitant on the fee.
Leeds's prepared to offer the full asking price.
Make of it what you will? ??.

Red in Ripley

1.) 28 Jul 2026 23:17:25
Being reported, Sporting have agreed a EUR40 million fee with us. ?

2.) 29 Jul 2026 04:51:57
Hope so. ??

3.) 01 Aug 2026 09:34:11
Read is more worrying. If the report that we were only a couple of million away from their valuation is correct, and Newcastle are inquiring, it seems like a lot of mucking about.

4.) 01 Aug 2026 10:16:18
Cyclist, I read that Roma are now his most likely destination. ?

5.) 03 Aug 2026 14:32:26
Reid's statement says he is weighing up his options, so he may be looking at CL games, or it may be wages. His agent is obviously trying to get him the best deal, which will also be considered by his agent as he will be in a percentage.

It's an auction, and, as any auction, you need to set a target that is valuable. If the price goes up like Bergval, it's time to strike elsewhere.

02 Jan 2026 13:48:54
Kali has left on loan!
That leaves Jesus and Awonyi?
Hmmmmm ?.

Red in Ripley

1.) 02 Jan 2026 14:01:36
See below.

2.) 02 Jan 2026 14:03:29
Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for striker Arnaud Kalimuendo to leave the club just months after he joined, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

3.) 02 Jan 2026 14:43:53
Sean Dyche seems to take against certain player's and doesn't give em a far chance, did the same to O'Brien at Everton. If Kalimuendo has left can only think someone's lined up to come to us.

4.) 02 Jan 2026 20:43:00
Rumour has it that Kalimuendo was not a great trainer which, on 40 grand a week, would get up my nose as well Mossy! ☹️.

5.) 02 Jan 2026 21:58:05
The problem is Stokey, John Robertson wasn't great at training, the great players usually had an adversion to it, mentioned a few in a previous post, not saying Kalimuendo would be anywhere near there greatness, but Sean Dyches mantra is a player has to do the "Hard Yards" yet the team looked shattered against Everton.

6.) 03 Jan 2026 11:38:45
Kalimuendo on the bench today, seems he can be in two places at once??.

7.) 07 Jan 2026 18:55:30
Clough was a one off and allowed players to have a cigarette at half time let the go out on the pi55 so long as they performed when needed so Robbo was also a one off over weight and unfit but his performance on the pitch didn't suffer.

8.) 07 Jan 2026 20:20:18
Fair enough but Kalimuendo is no John Robertson. He was in a League of his own mate!

09 Jul 2025 18:38:37
No idea if there is any truth in this?
According to Sports Mole on Nottingham Forest 24 7 site MGW has agreed personal term's with Man City! ?????.

Red in Ripley

1.) 09 Jul 2025 20:31:22
Nah. McAtee possibly coming our way, MGW staying.

2.) 10 Jul 2025 07:55:39
Sky reckon we are trying to sign McAtee now as well. We do need players who are from an English Academy to meet the regulations:-

At least eight players must be "homegrown, " meaning they were trained by the club or another club in the same national association for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21. A separate List B exists for younger players (born on or after January 1st of a specific year) who have been at the club for at least two consecutive years.

McAtee qualifies as a home-grown.

3.) 10 Jul 2025 09:19:38
McAtee absolutely useless having watched all of the U21 performances. Also my mate who's a Man City season ticket holder - goes home and away every week says he's Championship class and money for him welcome! If this is true relegation battle coming.

4.) 10 Jul 2025 16:27:35
McAtee. no thanks.

26 Aug 2024 17:23:14
Will Gimenez come?
More twists and turns than a Helter Skelter!
Apparently he's changed his mind!
Was he coming at all?
The joy's of a being a Forest Fan!
Frustrating, nail biting yet enjoyable not knowing what is happening regarding transfers! ?????.

Red in Ripley

1.) 26 Aug 2024 18:32:24
Wish it was enjoyable. Predictable as in a here we go again.

2.) 26 Aug 2024 21:43:09
Seems the Mexican doesn't fancy Forest, we certainly don't need anyone who doesn't want to be at the WFCG.

3.) 26 Aug 2024 21:56:22
If he doesn't want to or he's not sure about the move then we should move on.

4.) 27 Aug 2024 08:54:50
It’s a classic Mexican standoff imo……??.

5.) 27 Aug 2024 10:16:38
He isn’t coming. Thinks he’s too god for us. **** him! He can sit in leverkusens reserves. Prick.

6.) 27 Aug 2024 11:15:20
Probably because he is, Tricky. Challenging for League titles and playing continental football or a relegation battle? Hmmm. Now let me think about that one.

7.) 27 Aug 2024 18:01:05
Its more than likely a game for higher wages I think.

8.) 27 Aug 2024 21:20:47
Another one has rejected a move to Forest. Brobbey from Ajax apparently. His agent said he won't send his player to just any club and it's got to be a good move. Allegedly anyway.

9.) 28 Aug 2024 00:18:25
It's a pity the Black Orchid has closed, made Roy Keane the man he is?.

10.) 28 Aug 2024 07:08:23
Black Orchid is a blast from the past, Vespa. I used to love going there on a Friday night.

11.) 28 Aug 2024 18:43:01
Black boy did a nice Bernie.

12.) 28 Aug 2024 23:08:48
Is it in the contract that he could be dragged kicking and screaming to play in Greece, regardless what he wants.

13.) 29 Aug 2024 19:33:48
Just given Forest the "Mexican Wave".

06 Aug 2026 19:39:32
Good evening Stokey, how are you compadre? ??

Red in Ripley

1.) 07 Aug 2026 10:00:32
Very well indeed, Ripley, thank you.
I think I slipped into a coma yesterday evening waiting for one of Skeggs many predictions to come to fruition. ??
Seriously, watched a great film "The Ides of March", a political thriller with an incredible cast (George Clooney (who I believed produced and directed), Ryan Gosling, Paul Giacometti and the brilliant Philip Seymour Hoffman).

If you want to know how American politics works, this is the one. Hopelessly compromised and corrupt. Bearing in mind this was made long before the current insanity.
With this cooler weather, we've retreated from G and Ts in the garden indoors and watched "A Man on the Inside" starring Ted Danson. Comedy for old people, like us, as good as "Friends" imo.
What have you been up to?

2.) 07 Aug 2026 10:04:15
Just bought my 18 month old granddaughter her first Forest kit with name on the shirt. It's a bit big for her atm but she will grow into it.
Got to sort them out early, especially as her other Grandad is Arsenal and partner is Liverpool.

3.) 07 Aug 2026 10:39:52
Excellent, Stokey.
I've got that film, and yes it's a fascinating insight.
Your granddaughter will definitely grow into it, bless her.
As for Mystic Skeg, he couldn't predict a winner in a one-horse ? race.
The transfer saga is getting drawn out.
Apparently OG wanted players in by the time we had 2 friendlies left?
The joys.

4.) 07 Aug 2026 14:59:25
Mystic Skeg! Just superb, Ripley, plus winner in a one-horse race. ???????

5.) 07 Aug 2026 15:09:47
Another brewing romance on the banter site, definitely warms the heart that love isn't dead. ❤️?

6.) 07 Aug 2026 20:59:01
Don't you worrry, Rrh. I've got a whole lot of love to go around, mate. No one gets left behind on my watch. ??

7.) 07 Aug 2026 21:22:26
Aww, that's the spirit, I'm all good for man though. I'm sure there's plenty here that wouldn't say no though. Man love Friday. Fact, I just coined the phrase. ? ?

06 Aug 2026 15:51:44
Could you please explain the process by which a player can be acquired using Nottingham Forest's funds and subsequently loaned to Olympiacos? It appears that Forest was reportedly €2 million short of the required amount for both Diamonde and Read.

Feyenoord was seeking €25 million for the player, while our offer was €23 million.
Considering Marinakis's high expectations, how can these be met without investing in high-quality players?

Red in Ripley

1.) 06 Aug 2026 18:00:05
Things don't seem right at all...

2.) 06 Aug 2026 18:02:24
It's ridiculous. Haggling over a couple of million.
Diomande (2/3m off the asking price), Read (2/3m off the asking price) and Bergvall (5m? off the asking price before NUFC came in) would all be at the club if we weren't so tight!

3.) 06 Aug 2026 18:09:31
Gykores Fernandes sporting have a track record for it. Playing hardball and saying deals have collapsed only to go through. Later.and look at you lot ??? it's the end of the world then the deal goes through how stupid you are all going to look and will I remind you dam right I will ??

4.) 06 Aug 2026 18:53:38
Yes, Skegsy, you're bang on. It's called a negotiation, both sides are playing hardball.

5.) 06 Aug 2026 18:58:53
Those deals should have been sorted two weeks ago. What are we messing about at, or does Mr M fancy paying out for another manager to walk away. I think we need to get another forward, as well as the two lads, and possibly another midfielder.

6.) 06 Aug 2026 19:10:30
It's a good job this lot don't support Newcastle or Fulham. They'd be chucking themselves in the Trent with a lead weight else.

7.) 06 Aug 2026 20:24:03
I think some on this site have short memories. You should remember all the rubbish we squandered our money on since we were promoted. We've only lost Anderson, and yes he was good but not brilliant. To be brilliant you have to be consistent every game, and yes he had personal problems, and we all felt for him when we found out.

But you have to be 100 percent for the Premier League or you're going to let your players down. We don't need 5 or so new signings, just a couple of quality players who can lift the rest. Don't forget we've got 4 CFds on the books.

8.) 06 Aug 2026 20:46:21
Good post, Vale.

9.) 07 Aug 2026 08:40:31
So, as I understand, after reading reports this morning, the deal is not dead. We entered negotiations with a deal for Diomande at 34 million, which Sporting were close to accepting, but then they upped that price to 43 million, so it's not just 2/3 million.

Also, Sporting are well known for this, and they already have their replacement in place for Diomande and need the money. So people need to calm down and let the people who get paid to do their job, and who know their job, get on with it. Happy Friday, people. ?

10.) 07 Aug 2026 10:38:40
The lack of transfer activity is maybe a sign of new confidence in the current squad and the manager.
Why rush?
OG is not particularly verbal at the moment, and that suggests he's working with what he has and the club is trying to avoid the chaos of last season.

04 Aug 2026 10:54:35
At the end of July 2025, Glasner said:

“Even though all the players are still here, we haven’t made the most of the transfer window so far. I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year.

“As of now, I have 17 outfield players! I hope we don’t lose any more.

If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible.”
I'm sure OG is getting frustrated by the lack of transfer activity despite some saying we're stronger than last year? ?

Red in Ripley

1.) 04 Aug 2026 11:31:08
Not surprised, Ripley. He did make remarks earlier on a coded message, really, that "
My impatience is both a blessing and a curse".
The writing is on the wall, wall steady, and we haven't started the season yet.

As I said in an earlier post, "Get there fastest with the mostest"! As per Nathan Bedford Forrest...
We are late and, with 17 outfield players, definitely not the mostest.

2.) 04 Aug 2026 11:57:20
Totally agree Stokey. ??

I have actually tested the acoustics at Ephesus and Taormina (plus a few other ancient sites£) by shouting the first thing that came into my head "Cone on You Redddsss". They do work, and startled a few tourists. ?

3.) 02 Aug 2026 21:30:58
Well done, StokeyRed!
I shouted the very same at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, a brilliant place to visit!

4.) 02 Aug 2026 21:42:28
I shouted "Bogieeees!!!" In a Cinema once!!. ???
