Heard a strange rumour, now I've heard this same one from two different toon fans. So neves is off to saudi. Now when there they loan him to Newcastle, which keeps the toon fair play better the saudis pay his wages but the toon pay a loan fee? Don't get me wrong we probably do it with the olympiacos. But the whole thing stinks for me. Again just a rumour.
1.) 28 Jun 2023 13:02:32
Bowie I hope the Saudi league takes off and shrinks the stinking money available to the premier league.
2.) 28 Jun 2023 16:50:11
Keep your head on Rutland…….
3.) 30 Jun 2023 15:47:02
In the main, the Saudi league will be full of second-rate South Americans, greedy Africans and past-it Europeans, with one or two exceptions.
It was said in the 90's that the MLS would rock the football World, it was said in the 00's that China was going to buy all the World's best players. Now it's the Saudi's turn to fantasise about creating the World's number one league.
It will never, ever have the same gravitas as the big European leagues. It's just doesn't have the history or tradition and I doubt it ever will.
Wouldn't mind seeing Dennis move there for £20mil though. They can have Shelvey on a free too :)
4.) 30 Jun 2023 18:58:36
Always love your posts wonky son, keep em coming. Your knowledge is unreal at times. i remember a while ago saying you were unfortunate not to be able to get to games. Hopefully the change will come my friend. And your music background wasn't too bad too. Take care for now. Rutters you can't have any complaints on your golf with the summer greens mate. Hope you've enjoyed this green and pleasant land which so many of us take for granted. ??.
5.) 30 Jun 2023 20:37:05
Indeed bowie and the fishing has been fantastic too.
6.) 02 Jul 2023 10:47:54
Fishing. Now that is ? boring.
03 Oct 2022 22:37:38
I called on rafa Benitez to be next forest manager. Just seen on forest site he's been talked about. ? told ya balloons ?
1.) 05 Oct 2022 11:15:29
He wants Wolves not us sez it all.
26 Jul 2022 14:55:18
As i messed up with loan to buy. i'm old school i still think players have there studs checked for aluminium. Before the get on the pitch. Can someone please explain (pay as you play) surely this isn't as it comes over. How much does a player get if they don't get a game ED could you enlighten me please ?
{Ed002's Note - Such contracts are rare and typical comprise a. a low base payment, b. an "availability" payment, c. an additional payment for being selected.}
1.) 27 Jul 2022 00:17:04
Pay to play gets mentioned a lot Bowie, but I honestly can't remember anyone being signed in the Prem (or anywhere) on this sort of deal for a long time now.
It was normally for players at the end of their career/ injury prone.
2.) 27 Jul 2022 10:39:16
Yea, pay-as-you-play is a bit old fashioned but I think what people mean is, they'd prefer to see a player like Ramsey offered a performanced-based deal, rather than a high basic wage every week.
So instead of offering him £100k a week, you might offer £50k a week, plus bonuses for appearances, goals, and team wins etc. which might total £100k if he's playing and performing.
No one wants a croc on the books at £100k a week.
03 Apr 2022 15:03:23
Rumours on Newcastle wanting brennan for 50 million. Crazy not to . i know its only rumours but surely he's worth more than 20 mil.
1.) 03 Apr 2022 17:18:04
Think it’s more that they want 50 miilion for maximon which would free up money for them to try and get Brennan. So not 50 million but would put the price up a certain amount 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸.
2.) 04 Apr 2022 12:52:51
I think in Johnson and spence we have gold on our hands. I think, even if we fail to go up this season then Forest need to think bigger picture with holding on to Johnson and pushing the boat out to get spence. It’s around these two that building for the future will be massive for confidence and attracting the quality needed to maintain that big push.
3.) 14 Apr 2022 02:10:31
Without promotion we have zero chance of signing spence would need a bid of around 20 Mill we just don't have that money.
27 Jan 2022 08:28:48
Carvalho in for his medical today, good luck in the future, spending our cash.
1.) 27 Jan 2022 18:24:03
I'm curious that we must have some attack minded players coming in as taylor and carvalho going out leaves us a little short if we pick up injuries and suspensions.

Just like to add on here to the English ignorance. Ok, only one game in. But my, that was the best football I've seen in a lot of years from them. Believing and actually pushing forward. With a manager (actually) telling them to do so. Just my opinion. Give it a whirl. You may be shocked.
1.) 18 Jun 2026 19:30:51
Well said that man. ? ?
2.) 18 Jun 2026 21:19:38
If you're talking about the second half, I totally agree.
First half, we were well off it though. I fear for our defence at times.
3.) 18 Jun 2026 23:11:46
I was actually Gazz, but at least Tuchel kicked their arse for playing the ball back at times. 1st half. Been a while.
17 Jun 2026 16:44:49
Come on England ⚽️.
1.) 17 Jun 2026 17:46:23.
???
2.) 17 Jun 2026 17:51:17
?"Talk about football coming home
And then one night in Rome
We were strong, we had grown
And now I see Ince ready for war
Gazza good as before
Shearer certain to score
And Psycho screaming.
Three lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
No more years of hurt
No more need for dreaming.
It's coming home, it's coming home
It's coming, Football's coming home
It's coming home, it's coming home
It's coming, Football's coming home!."?
3.) 17 Jun 2026 19:24:24
Same old England, get excited before the game. Ready for the rage after the game, because we will sit back after going a goal up and lose.
4.) 17 Jun 2026 19:26:55
Skegs, may I direct you to England Live. ?
5.) 17 Jun 2026 19:31:56
And the Geordie git. ?
6.) 17 Jun 2026 19:32:36
And peddling Pete. ?
7.) 17 Jun 2026 19:39:34
And, of course, happy Larry. ?
8.) 17 Jun 2026 20:17:06
This will be a tight match...
Best of luck!!!
9.) 17 Jun 2026 20:24:58
And afterwards rogie
There coming home
There coming home
Englands coming home ??
Well fishing season started yesterday "of course"
15 Jun 2026 16:13:54
Ok reds, question to you all myself I'd love to keep him obviously. But also know clubs need money to crack on.
How many of ya think we are asking too much money for Anderson at 130.plus?
1.) 15 Jun 2026 17:00:33
The market has been inflated for years, as we know, mate...
So yes, 130 million is about right.
Hope he stays, though!!!
2.) 15 Jun 2026 17:34:10
If Marc Kucarella is worth 55m, then Elliot must be worth 130m.
Our Neco is a better full back than the Madrid bound ex Chelsea player.
3.) 15 Jun 2026 17:54:52
...And doesn't dive!!!
4.) 15 Jun 2026 18:49:55
If the head of the Spanish diving team mentioned above is worth 55 mil, then Anderson is worth 555 million. ? Nah, in all seriousness, if someone wants to pay it, then he's worth it. We don't need to sell, and Mr M knows how to make his Muller. Ground redevelopment in mind, and the need for a top class finisher. ?
5.) 15 Jun 2026 18:57:32
Bloody well done Cape Verde!!!!
6.) 15 Jun 2026 19:03:42
Rogie, they were awesome, bodies on the line, commitment, bravery, the lot. MOTM their keeps. ?
7.) 15 Jun 2026 19:51:26
They were, mate!!!
Absolute Warriors!!!!
8.) 15 Jun 2026 20:28:12
It's a very good question, Bowie. This is a 'stick or twist' situation. Personally, I think we should have sold Anderson when the £120M was offered.
I hear comments like 'we don't need the money'. However, every (ATM) 2nd tier PL club, such as Forest, needs the money. Imagine what players we could buy with that money.
9.) 15 Jun 2026 20:33:56
And good reply, Lego. ?
10.) 15 Jun 2026 20:35:37
Can anyone explain why the VAR "Team" wear kits???
???
11.) 15 Jun 2026 21:22:04
His value won't drop and he's under contract.
We hold all the cards, tbh.
I'd rather keep him, cus he's basically irreplaceable, but if he wants to go then don't keep an unhappy player.
It's a win-win situation, whatever happens.
12.) 15 Jun 2026 21:42:30
The perfect scenario: the transfer saga drags on over the summer. England reach at least the semis, with Ando doing what Ando does. Mr M demands more, City pull the plug, and Ando stays. We qualify for the Champions League with Ando still doing what Ando does. By then, his value will be north of 175 million. ?
13.) 15 Jun 2026 21:44:29
Rogie, it cracks me up how they all stand to attention in the VAR booth, like they all matter. Wonder if they know they are the most hated three individuals in soccer (sorry, couldn't resist). ? ?
14.) 15 Jun 2026 21:46:27
Didn't realise you were an accountant? ??
15.) 15 Jun 2026 21:50:10
Haven't you got worms to eat? ?
16.) 15 Jun 2026 22:01:35
No. It would cost at least £130 (if you include wages over 5/6 years) to replace Anderson. If they don't want to pay that, then great, we keep the best midfielder in England.
17.) 15 Jun 2026 22:03:36
Isn't it time you left the couch and switched TV off? ???
18.) 15 Jun 2026 22:22:09
Nope, I'm up in Cumbria doing the house, 2 weeks off proper work. All alone to work by my own schedule (and the hound, of course). No flies on me. Naps in between games. Outside rendering done, inside painted, outside next week.
Fridge full of beer and steak. Winning. ? ?
19.) 15 Jun 2026 22:25:19
B*******. ??
20.) 15 Jun 2026 22:39:35
Some of us grasp life with both hands and do what we love. Watching the World Cup is one of mine. If I can mix it with work, it's win-win. Better than realising your own mortality is slowly drifting away with every sly dig you post on here. ??
21.) 15 Jun 2026 22:46:01
Mate, I'm a proper tradesman, you can't do that while sitting watching football, and in a few days.
Unless it's a crap result. ??
22.) 15 Jun 2026 22:53:58
I can render a chimney and paint inside in four days, we don't all rely on zimmer frames to get around.
Proper tradesman, my hairy backside. ?
23.) 15 Jun 2026 22:55:43
Back to the original question.
Word is Forest won't be completing any deal for Anderson until July at the earliest.
As they want the business on next year's books.
That is assuming City are prepared to pay top dollar.
24.) 15 Jun 2026 22:30:31
Dunno why you have to post so many emojis when you clearly aren't funny. Its okay to be jealous. ??
25.) 15 Jun 2026 22:58:34
Your talking out your backside
Instead of working
But i'm used to that from you ??
26.) 16 Jun 2026 10:25:26
Says the site's expert on the subject. ?
15 Jun 2026 00:23:08
SBA and other reds, huge apologies to all. (It's an age fing) The American keeper I was thinking of was Ethan Horvath. Sorry ?.
1.) 15 Jun 2026 09:03:00
He wasn't quite good enough either, Bowie. And he had Brice to compete with.
2.) 15 Jun 2026 13:21:45
Gazz, mate, I think he only played about 10 x games. But he did more than fair for us at the time. We were struggling for a decent keeper. Anyway, we left him out of the 25-man Premier squad, only telling him last minute, which left him in limbo. Only the likes of Turkey (window still open) were available, which would have meant months till January without a game.
Again, sorry I picked up on the wrong keeper. Basically we s*** on him for what? Doing his best. Just my opinion. And I always liked the laddie. Gentleman, never really whinged over his unfortunate circumstances.
3.) 15 Jun 2026 15:35:01
I agree he wasn't treated very well, Bowie, and yes, it did eff up his season, but I still don't think he was good enough.
When Bricr got himself sent off, Horvarh stepped in and did OK but not a patch on Brice.
4.) 15 Jun 2026 15:44:49
Oh, I agree, Gazz. The point I was initially making was every time I see an American national, I remember him. (Just not his name. ?) My old position for many years. Always a soft spot for keepers.
5.) 15 Jun 2026 16:35:49
Horvath was a far better keeper than that clown Samba. Never given a run, but never let us down.
6.) 15 Jun 2026 16:37:11
Mine too, Bowie. Earned a decent living from it too, mate.
7.) 15 Jun 2026 17:02:40
You're another naughty boy, Larry!
???
8.) 15 Jun 2026 17:11:22
How very dare you, Rogie. ??
9.) 15 Jun 2026 18:51:09
No matter what you say about big Brice, he is a club legend. ?
10.) 15 Jun 2026 21:09:55
He is, mate.
Larry has his spoon out.
?
11.) 15 Jun 2026 21:55:57
Yep, and that spoon is dripping with brown smelly stuff. ?
12.) 15 Jun 2026 22:51:22
What that's got to do with being nice? Nothing?
About time you got the nursing assistant to help you into your jim jams isn't? ?
13 Jun 2026 10:19:24
Yanks started ok. I always remember the keeper Matt Turner (just my opinion). I think we give the laddie a hard time. Never really give him a chance.
1.) 13 Jun 2026 11:09:07
I was really impressed with them, mate, great energy. Pulisic and Balogun can cause problems to any side in the competition. ?
2.) 13 Jun 2026 11:44:34
Matt Turner was poor, in my opinion, mate.
His distribution was more than suspect.
3.) 13 Jun 2026 11:53:36
Didn't get to see, but their teams are always well organised and exceptionally fit. They just run and run. Japan are very much like that also.
4.) 13 Jun 2026 17:15:30
Turner was very poor. He had enough chances, but all he did was collect the ball out of the net!
5.) 13 Jun 2026 18:00:43
Sba, you obviously never played the position.
6.) 13 Jun 2026 20:27:28
Turner was never good enough to be number 1 in the Premier League. Arsenal bench is one thing, same as Muric from Man City. Poor signings both.
7.) 14 Jun 2026 00:41:46
I remember everyone having multiples when we signed Muric.
8.) 14 Jun 2026 11:40:01
Bowie, not many have played in goal, only at school for me, but Turner really was very poor, saw enough of him to cringe when he was on the team sheet!
9.) 14 Jun 2026 22:30:00
Tbh, SBA, I actually think I've got him mixed up with another keeper, bud. ?
15 Aug 2025 22:43:59
Still up for Charlton brothers me.
12 Nov 2024 17:58:33
Thing is he's got to lot better chance of playing of showing himself off at the city ground.
30 Jun 2023 18:58:36

30 Nov 2022 19:08:26
Good call that cyclist mate ?
25 Jun 2026 00:09:14
Get Leighton James, gk, hen broon ch, and oor Willie Ball boy on.
25 Jun 2026 00:04:52
Well done, Lego, bud. Is it shorter than a Stokey post, or War and Peace? Nah, very well done. ?
24 Jun 2026 23:09:59
McKenna. ?
24 Jun 2026 21:15:42
Mutton paella.
24 Jun 2026 20:48:27
Hang, make that two, Hadrian. Wouldn't care if he parked his horse in our back garden. ?
