Heard a strange rumour, now I've heard this same one from two different toon fans. So neves is off to saudi. Now when there they loan him to Newcastle, which keeps the toon fair play better the saudis pay his wages but the toon pay a loan fee? Don't get me wrong we probably do it with the olympiacos. But the whole thing stinks for me. Again just a rumour.

Bowie I hope the Saudi league takes off and shrinks the stinking money available to the premier league.

2.) 28 Jun 2023 16:50:11
Keep your head on Rutland…….

3.) 30 Jun 2023 15:47:02
In the main, the Saudi league will be full of second-rate South Americans, greedy Africans and past-it Europeans, with one or two exceptions.

It was said in the 90's that the MLS would rock the football World, it was said in the 00's that China was going to buy all the World's best players. Now it's the Saudi's turn to fantasise about creating the World's number one league.

It will never, ever have the same gravitas as the big European leagues. It's just doesn't have the history or tradition and I doubt it ever will.

Wouldn't mind seeing Dennis move there for £20mil though. They can have Shelvey on a free too :)

4.) 30 Jun 2023 18:58:36
Always love your posts wonky son, keep em coming. Your knowledge is unreal at times. i remember a while ago saying you were unfortunate not to be able to get to games. Hopefully the change will come my friend. And your music background wasn't too bad too. Take care for now. Rutters you can't have any complaints on your golf with the summer greens mate. Hope you've enjoyed this green and pleasant land which so many of us take for granted. ??.

5.) 30 Jun 2023 20:37:05
Indeed bowie and the fishing has been fantastic too.

6.) 02 Jul 2023 10:47:54

As i messed up with loan to buy. i'm old school i still think players have there studs checked for aluminium. Before the get on the pitch. Can someone please explain (pay as you play) surely this isn't as it comes over. How much does a player get if they don't get a game ED could you enlighten me please ?

Bowiered3

{Ed002's Note - Such contracts are rare and typical comprise a. a low base payment, b. an "availability" payment, c. an additional payment for being selected.}

1.) 27 Jul 2022 00:17:04
Pay to play gets mentioned a lot Bowie, but I honestly can't remember anyone being signed in the Prem (or anywhere) on this sort of deal for a long time now.

It was normally for players at the end of their career/ injury prone.

2.) 27 Jul 2022 10:39:16
Yea, pay-as-you-play is a bit old fashioned but I think what people mean is, they'd prefer to see a player like Ramsey offered a performanced-based deal, rather than a high basic wage every week.

So instead of offering him £100k a week, you might offer £50k a week, plus bonuses for appearances, goals, and team wins etc. which might total £100k if he's playing and performing.

No one wants a croc on the books at £100k a week.

Rumours on Newcastle wanting brennan for 50 million. Crazy not to . i know its only rumours but surely he's worth more than 20 mil.

Bowiered3

1.) 03 Apr 2022 17:18:04
Think it’s more that they want 50 miilion for maximon which would free up money for them to try and get Brennan. So not 50 million but would put the price up a certain amount 🤷🏻‍♂️.

2.) 04 Apr 2022 12:52:51
I think in Johnson and spence we have gold on our hands. I think, even if we fail to go up this season then Forest need to think bigger picture with holding on to Johnson and pushing the boat out to get spence. It’s around these two that building for the future will be massive for confidence and attracting the quality needed to maintain that big push.

3.) 14 Apr 2022 02:10:31
Without promotion we have zero chance of signing spence would need a bid of around 20 Mill we just don't have that money.

Carvalho in for his medical today, good luck in the future, spending our cash.

I'm curious that we must have some attack minded players coming in as taylor and carvalho going out leaves us a little short if we pick up injuries and suspensions.

Sorry to bsered earlier. Again these forestbanter anti patches not working.
My ignorance was in my self pity sir.
ANYWAY. Both teams for me today played championship like. My post should have replied. Last night. Our strength goes throughout our defence. The toon the midfield. Just no flow from both sides. Horrible first half.
Bakwa started ok but, then loses interest. We know forest players are built on mindset. Not just turning up. Sels again what a hero. What a horrible season of who's guilty from owner to players to coach. Again stayed at old swan harrogate this weekend.

Where Agatha christie was found. Couldn't write the series of events or plots on us. noticed a lot of conflict on here lately. please plz please everyone. Just try to get along. swear you don't know what's around the corner. Me myself I, love each and everyone of ya. Why because your on the same roller coasting carriage as me. My hint to you all. (Just close your eyes and don't look down) but open your your hearts to this magnificent club that keeps this geordies beating. Thank you stokey btw. And RHR look forward to seeing ya my friend. FTID ❤️.

1.) 10 May 2026 19:54:18
Actually wasn't a horrible season. Brilliant, tbh, European semi. My apologies.

2.) 10 May 2026 20:03:50
I bet you love me the most out of all the others, Bowie!!

Scrappy game mostly today, but with some moments of great skill from both sides. Personally, I think that we 'dodged a bullet' here, thanks mostly to Sels.

However, we got the point and the Hammers lost, so that's all that matters.

I don't think that we'll be watching Murillo play for us next season.

Anyway, happy days, Reds! Enjoy a couple of small, dry sherries tonight, guys.

3.) 10 May 2026 20:23:29
? Of course Lego.

4.) 10 May 2026 20:27:06
Btw bsered, we dodged a bullet a while ago. Getting Anderson for nowt and offloading a Greek keeper. Just unbelievable business.

5.) 10 May 2026 20:38:13
Was a great bit of business by Wilson. That was the difference between him and the reject Edu. He knew good players.

6.) 10 May 2026 23:01:07
Yes, Bowie, and thanks. I was born in Harrogate! But couldn't wait to leave, as I did at 19, and never went back. Our game today was patchy, but Sels and Anderson stood out. Hope you are well. Keep the faith, and have one on me for the new season, with a, hopefully, new side and manager. Love your posts.

7.) 10 May 2026 23:40:14
Thank you, Bsered. btw, I love Harrogate, mate. Could I ask why you left? Plz don't answer if uncomfortable, obviously.

8.) 11 May 2026 09:36:24
Bowie, I was a working class kid in what was a snob town. I got thrown out of cafes for having long hair, and looked down on because I came from Starbeck village between Harrogate and Knaresbro. My family were poor railway workers.

The place might look pretty, but Harrogate's underbelly stayed discriminatory. I know it is different now, but in my day kids were taken to court for blowing bubbles in front of the Cenotaph.

9.) 11 May 2026 09:55:33
Wow Bse, bud. Unreal.

07 May 2026 22:28:07
Wouldn't know where to start with my week, but watched the game with my two sons bless them. We stay up. Not bad season eh. European semi. Bad day. Love em around ya. Believe me. Only reason I'm still here.

Hang in there mate, we simply didn't handle the occasion last night...

04 May 2026 18:12:53
Hang on, hang on. Massive shout to Taiwo. Been living in the shadows far too long. Bless him. Vitor, thank you for bringing all I ask of a team. No parking bus and attack with confidence. ? Believing.

Bowiered3

1.) 04 May 2026 18:51:01
The big guy is back. Belief is so important in football.

2.) 04 May 2026 21:35:30
Belief is massive in anything. ?

3.) 04 May 2026 21:52:34
Well said, Pineapple sir. ?

04 May 2026 18:02:15
Big shouts to netz and bakwa. And to our amazing travellers just amazing fans. As you said Rogie birthday come early.

Strange one 7.30 pm Sunday or is it just me, thank taylor I've done my church prayer run. And helped with my skegness aid duties.

Bowiered3

1.) 03 May 2026 17:04:59
Oops, 7pm, sorry. ??

2.) 03 May 2026 17:43:01
Middle of the bank holiday, 7pm kick off. They really think of the fans travelling! It's the TV rights that does! A bit like Forest playing Chelski on Monday, 3pm, with a European Semi Final to play on Thursday!

3.) 03 May 2026 18:35:51
Does it interfere with the start time of 'Last of the Summer Wine' or 'Corrie'? ??

4.) 03 May 2026 18:46:43
??? Remember playing in my younger days in winter. All the lads went on the drink after the game. I couldn't wait to see Last of the Summer Wine etc. ?

5.) 03 May 2026 19:01:50
Lol, yeah, was a regular watch for me on a Sunday teatime. ??
