Lee Buchanan from Derby, England u21 left-back. Alan Nixon says Forest are after him.

1.) 23 Jul 2021 19:28:26
Will they want him joining us, or even another Championship club?

2.) 24 Jul 2021 11:07:55
Pretty sure Forest cant afford him, I imagine it'll be £5m+ at least. Derby have already rejected a first low-ball offer.

09 Jul 2021 21:20:19
Lots of rumours flying around today, chaps.

-Centre-forward Jordan Hugill linked from Norwich.
-Second bid made for Zian Flemming of Fortuna Sittard.
-Interest in a loan move for Spurs winger Jack Clake.
-Linked with Gent left-back Milad Mohammadi

And in the most amusing news of the day, Barnsley hope to snatch Brennan Johnson away for £2m. Ha. Good luck with that.

1.) 12 Jul 2021 18:40:39
if c h is looking at these players he has two wonky eyes.

2.) 16 Jul 2021 18:09:58
Nothing more come to light about any of them. Time to settle in get fit and play pre season games getting tight.

17 Feb 2020 12:23:52
Forest linked with Crewe right-back Perry Ng. Five assists this season in League Two.

Would be amusing to see NG 2 on the back of his shirt, whilst playing in West Bridgford.

1.) 19 Feb 2020 13:19:48
At least he'll feel at home. 👍.

28 Jan 2020 17:19:17
Looks like Chema is now off to Getafe! Medical imminent according to some reports.

Wonder if we could ask Sheff Utd to loan us Osborn as cover at left-back? :)

1.) 28 Jan 2020 17:41:05
We have made 900,000, not bad for the short time with us

2.) 28 Jan 2020 17:44:20
We're going need another left back if true, thoughts?

3.) 28 Jan 2020 18:37:23
Is Colin Barrett still available? . I'll give him a buzz. His wife used to give me Maths classes and he megged me at training when he was a coach at Southwell City.

4.) 28 Jan 2020 18:41:26
We need to get rid of at least one centre back now that Hefele and Benalounane are fit. But if he does then selling Robinson looks foolish unless we have lined up a good LB.

5.) 29 Jan 2020 14:44:23
Red in Brazil. Do you know of The Saracens Head at Southwell?

16 Jan 2020 11:08:46
Forest now linked with Connor Wickham and Andre Gray, with enquiries made for both according to the NEP.

1.) 16 Jan 2020 12:21:10
Gray and murry. Would be ideal.

2.) 16 Jan 2020 12:32:08
Also linked with El Khabchi and Marcus McGuane, both midfielders, but it's all media hype so far.

3.) 16 Jan 2020 18:48:55
McGuane has been agreed but as he is loaned out somewhere else till the end of the season we will have to pay compensation to his present loan club. So sort of agreed, nothing is simple at Forest.

4.) 16 Jan 2020 19:00:15
Can't we throw in Jason Cummins as our compensation to them? Two birds, one stone, simples.

5.) 16 Jan 2020 19:06:33
Jason Cummings is a Shrewsbury player.

6.) 16 Jan 2020 19:15:07
Just make sure we do no let him near TVs untill they accept him. 😁

7.) 16 Jan 2020 21:08:59
Looks like the Wickham enquiry has moved onto "talks".

I'd be happy with Wickham, personally. Reckon he'd come with a point to prove.

8.) 16 Jan 2020 21:17:40
What point would that be though, that he actually does know how to score a goal?
And after only managing 18 games in 4 seasons that he can stay fit?
I really hope we don't sign another sick note.

9.) 16 Jan 2020 21:52:09
He's got more than one point to prove wonky.

10.) 17 Jan 2020 09:02:02
He already proved that point, Ff79, on New Year's Day against Norwich. And the correct stats would be 8 starts and 16 sub apps in three and a half years, if we're being accurate :)

For me, he's still at a decent age where he's not physicially on the decline, he should be hungry and looking to make a statement. Worth a loan deal til May, in my opinion.

11.) 17 Jan 2020 22:52:24
Fair play sutty but you'd have to worry about his injury record?
Weve been down that road with fryatt and Hobbs, dangerous game.

02 Mar 2021 18:55:56
So Lolley in for Freeman and Mighten back on the bench.

1.) 02 Mar 2021 19:07:30
Good that's a bit more adventurous.
Yeats must have a knock.

25 Sep 2019 11:54:48
Defended well for 60-70 minutes against a good side, away from home.

Once the 2nd and 3rd went in Sabri brought on some kids for the experience and the side fell apart.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Most of the Forest side were 2nd string or kids, playing against some of the best young players in the country, plus Ozil, Tierney, Bellerin etc.

Bigger fish to fry on Friday.

1.) 25 Sep 2019 12:32:08
The biggest disappointment for me was we weren't set up to even try and get a result, no striker and no strength in midfield.
Would have thought it better to play as we do normally and changing personell to suit.
We looked a mess all over the park and the goalkeeper has to be sent back.
We couldn't win or keep the ball and when you do that you get a thrashing which is what we got and what we deserved from the way the team was set up.
We will see a different side and formation on Friday and I'm confident of a win and promotion this season so long as a lesson was learnt last night that we can't revert to lightweight midfielders and Silva and carvalho can't and mustn't play together.

2.) 25 Sep 2019 15:17:12
I don't think Lamouchi set the team up to be that dreadful, F79. I'm sure he thought he had a plan and it just didn't work out. He'll probably be the first to say he got it wrong.

He's a brave Manager that's not afraid to make a change here or there, either as a strategy against a certain opponent or even in the middle of a game. He won't always get it right but so far he's getting more right than wrong. I'd rather have this brave, flexible approach than the one-dimensional 'Plan-A Only' approach we've seen from previous coaches, like Warburton and Karanka.

Not arguing or disagreeing with what you've said, mate, just trying to offer some positive spin! Let's hope he get's it right on Friday.

3.) 25 Sep 2019 21:18:18
He'll get it right Friday without a doubt but like I said that side couldn't score and was too lightweight and had no leader or captain material on the pitch.
I'm very confident we will get promoted this season provided we keep grabs fit till Jan and sign a good back up striker or two.
Also important to keep dawson fit as he's the leader we must have on the pitch.

People moaning about rotation is doing my nut in.

PM is doing a great job so far, we've recruited well and we're playing an entertaining brand of football. Rotation is one of his policies and let's not forget we're in a period of playing 8 games in little over a month (Sept 11 - Oct 14) , so rotation is probably a shrewd move at the moment.

We've not even made it to Christmas and a lot of fans are moaning and criticising, which to me is ludicrous. Let PM get on with it and enjoy the entertainment for once.

1.) 19 Sep 2016 15:33:47
Rotation is fine if you've got a real need but at the moment PM needs to establish his 1st choice 11. He, like any good manager should always pick his best team and if that's not possible make the odd change. 5/ 6 changes every game is not going to work. Players that play together build understanding and work as a team. At this moment in time that isn't happening. I'll just mention 2 teams, Barnsley/ Huddersfield. Same team the majority of the time. Tell me we are not as capable as those 2?

2.) 19 Sep 2016 15:36:03
Most of the so called rotation is due to injuries.

3.) 19 Sep 2016 15:37:22
I meant to add also, Ranieri at Chelsea was constantly tinkering. Ranieri at Leicester wasn't. The difference = Champions but more importantly a team. It's quite simple really.

4.) 19 Sep 2016 17:08:17
I reckon the rotation policy will settle down a bit more when a) we have fewer injuries and b) we emerge from the frantic first few months of the season.

Most months of the season only contain 4-5 games but with the League Cup and international windows the opening few months are always hectic - Seven games in August and six games in September is quite hard going. 14 games in 57 days is a game every 4 days!

5.) 19 Sep 2016 18:20:43
It's doing my nut in because most of the rotation has been down to injuries/ suspensions. Also with all the new players that have come in towards the end of the transfer window, how on earth is he suppose to know so soon who his best 11 are. Hats off to PM, doing a great job!

01 Jul 2016 17:18:52
Floyd Ayite has signed for Fulham so that one is out of the picture. Shame, looked a promising link.

19 Apr 2016 10:26:28
Lars Veldwijk attracting interest from China.

Could be an early Christmas present for Forest, the Chinese usually pay good money (usually over the odds) and we could get shot of a player that, for one reason or another, has not been a success.

Even just £3-4m would be nice.

1.) 19 Apr 2016 13:06:21
be lucky to get 3/ 4 million let alone 3-4 million.

2.) 19 Apr 2016 13:26:13
If they offer 300 to 400k I would snatch their hands off!

3.) 19 Apr 2016 13:44:46
Ok, maybe just £1-2m would do it :)

4.) 19 Apr 2016 13:53:24
I'd take 500k and reinvest on youth.

Swansea fans will tell you that Cooper didn't have a Plan B and wasn't adventurous enough. Sounds too familiar if you ask me.

I agree, mate, I'd love to see a change but I don't think its likely with CH in charge. Forgot about Silva as a third striker, tbh, but pretty sure he'll mainly be used out wide.

To be fair, Forest need another option at centre-forward. Unfortunately, having missed the deadline, we're now scraping the bargain bucket. As long as it's not an offer of big wages, or a 3-year deal he may be worth a go.

1-year deal til the end of the season on modest wages would be fine, imo. The guy's got pedigree, just not recently. And I think he'll probably struggle with the physicallity of the chamipionship, too, but he could be worth a punt. I think Swan and Taylor (Dale) are probably a year or two off first team football.

Two signings look like Greek signings - Drager from Olypiakos for obvious reasons and Silva from West Ham, who shares the same agent as Cafu, Pele and Gil Dias et al. And to be fair, had Maja not failed his medical then we may not have had Silva at all. Silva to me looks like a last minute deal pulled out of the hat by the Greek's contacts.

I think the other permanent deals - Horvath and Ojeda - are obviously from the new regime. And I believe the loans - all of which look decent - are on the advice of Chris Hughton.

Personally, I think the window had a new look about if for Forest and went reasonably well right up until the last minute when we panicked for a forward.

I think Flemming, Harroui, Mukairu, Cannon et al where also links via the new regime. Young talents with ablity and sell-on potential - Nothing like previous years!

Yeah, the shackles are off. It's obvious that Hughton put more emphasis on shape and positioning, which severley restricted the players creative freedom - More worried about being caught out of position than going after the ball to win it back - this tends to make teams drop deep and lack any real attacking ambition. The difference is huge, it's hard to believe it's the same set of players.

I like getting carried away as much as the next man but we are still very much in a honeymoon period. The next test will be how we respond to a defeat or a couple of poor games.

When Cooper first started at Swansea they raced to the top of the league (W6 D4 L1 in his first 10 games), then they started to fade.

I've always liked Yates but most fans seem to need a punch bag when times are hard and Yates was the man. It's a shame that fans wanted to have a pop at probably the only player that gave 100% every game when things weren't going our way. And some are even too stubborn to change tact when things are much better - It's ok to say you were wrong y'know!

I followed County as a youth. Saw them beat Brighton in the Play Off Final about 30 years ago. Johnson, Draper, Cherry, Short. Great side.

Yates puts in a shift every game. If he put away half the chances from the good positions he gets in to, then 5 to 10 goals a season would make him a cracking asset. Still hoping it might come, if only for a season or two.
