Andrey Santos (CM/ DM) arriving on loan from Chelsea.
Murillo (CB) has agreed personal terms, just agreeing the fee with Corinthians now.
Zaidu Sanusi (LWB) from Porto a possibility.
Marcos Acuna (LWB) linked after his deal to Villa collapsed (although I'm pretty sure he's now injured).
1.) 25 Aug 2023 12:20:14
Is this the way to AMURILLO?
Ev'ry night I've been huggin' my pillow
Dreamin' dreams of Amarillo
And sweet Marie who waits for me
Show me the way to AMURILLO
I've been weepin' like a willow
Cryin' over AMURILLO
And sweet Marie who waits for me
?.
2.) 25 Aug 2023 12:42:01
I saw something similar as above but can't see Acuna signing if injured.
I have seen a Freuler and Domingues swap deal with Bologna and Hudson-Odoi still on the radar.
3.) 25 Aug 2023 13:21:50
Santos signed. Awaiting news on Murillo. Zanusi bid still in pipeline? Acuna has hamstring injury seems so not sure if that's a hurdle we now wish to take on board.
4.) 25 Aug 2023 13:24:02
We are signing to many defenders and no attackers.
5.) 25 Aug 2023 15:53:34
If Brennan is staying, then we are signing players in the positions we need. It is our defence that needs strengthening.
6.) 25 Aug 2023 16:21:47
Build from the back, Sir Brian said. Have patience.
7.) 25 Aug 2023 16:43:34
My Chelsea mate, says Santos had a good preseason for them, but currently see him as one for the future, so could be good for both clubs.
13 Jun 2023 11:24:45
Forest are after Brazilian left-back, Carlos Augusto, from Monza in Serie A.
After seeing Inter Milan move ahead of us in the race for his signature, good old Mr M has decided to buy AC Monza instead! That might just put us in pole position to bring him in lol
6 goals and a a few assits from LB at Monza last season. Seems impressive.
1.) 13 Jun 2023 12:27:03
Richards, Toffolo, Lodi and Augusto how many left backs do we need? Keep most of the same side together if possible.
2.) 13 Jun 2023 13:24:23
To be fair, Nico is primarily a RWB who can cover LWB. You could argue for that reason we only need 2 specialist LWBs. Cooper obviously must think Toff is not good enough yet or he wouldn't have wanted to loan him out.
If we sign Lodi and Monza, that tells me that Richards injury is extremely bad and they don't know that they can rely on him being fit (or staying fit) next season.
3.) 13 Jun 2023 14:34:01
It will happen big Greek has purchased Monza.
4.) 13 Jun 2023 15:02:49
I'm presuming Carlos would be an alternative to Lodi, don't think they would sign both.
Would we want to go into the new season with just Toffolo and Richards at left-back? Toffolo looks decent enough but Richards we know nothing about other than his terrible injury.
I think we probably need to bring in an established top level left-back, be that Lodi or Carlos.
5.) 14 Jun 2023 01:01:02
I'll be honest, I think if Lodi was going to sign for us we'd know. He wants Champions League footy next season. Agree with you Wonky, we need one top level LWB.
6.) 14 Jun 2023 19:20:32
I've seen us linked with that Luke Thomas from Leicester. Not very experienced but has looked promising when I've seen him play.
7.) 14 Jun 2023 19:23:07
Ashley Young is also available on a free. I know, not a long term solution, but short term could be a great squad member with loads of experience.
26 Oct 2022 09:40:02
I know a fella that runs a catering business and at the weekend he was with the legendary Ian Woan, who was at an event in Nottingham. Two bits of info gained directly from Sean Dyche's assistant!
Firstly, Dyche would love the Forest job. Woan said it's the job he wants most of all, but is also waiting on Leeds United and Aston Villa (although Villa have since signed Dick Emery) .
Secondly, and more controversially, he said that Yatesy went in a bit hard on Lewis O'Brien in training and LO'B got up and nutted Ryan Yates, much to everyone's disgust. In the words of Ian Woan "he might not play for Forest again".
Forest say he's out with an illness at the minute. Not sure if this is total bollocks but my catering fella is usually pretty decent and honest. Maybe Woan's talking crap, I dunno, but I believe he said it.
1.) 26 Oct 2022 11:58:00
Crikey Wonky, that's going to fuel a few conspiracists on here mate?.
2.) 26 Oct 2022 20:33:16
So that's the real reason Yatesy has a shiner.
3.) 26 Oct 2022 21:36:51
Carlos the one with inside information, got to be false ??
Kick in the face during a match and a bloody nose would have nothing to do with having a shiner?
4.) 27 Oct 2022 08:30:23
Yeah he got the black eye against Brighton when he got booted in the face.
Not claiming any of the above to be true, just what I've been told by a usually honest and reliable guy,
5.) 27 Oct 2022 09:44:33
Wonky I did say that obrien has been marginalised just like big Sam and both have allegedly acted out of step with the club. Personally I would love to think that both acts were true. Love a fighter in the team and a good old fashioned Glasgow kiss in training is fine by me
6.) 27 Oct 2022 14:02:42
L'OB pictured in training today. Maybe they kissed and made up lol.
7.) 27 Oct 2022 21:05:46
It might have been the case of woman being mischievous
I used to bump into garry birtkes regularly and talk for a few minutes but he would never disclose what was going on behind the scenes, he would only comment on the football.
8.) 28 Oct 2022 07:58:07
Woan and birtles, damned predictive text.
9.) 28 Oct 2022 12:03:40
I think the head butting rumour is a bit dubious Steve mate. Yates is 6’3” and O Brian is 5’8”. Did someone at the training ground provide a chair for him to stand on? ??. Yatesy is a tough lad. Perhaps O Brian was ill with concussion?
10.) 17 Dec 2022 23:17:38
Well if it was yates nutting obrien none of us would believe it ??
16 Jan 2022 13:55:11
Wallace looks a done deal at approx £2m. Due for a medical but might be delayed due to a quad injury.
1.) 16 Jan 2022 14:08:28
That's what I was told last week sutty, I was told it was a done deal.
Maybe they didn't want the transfer to go through till after the game yesterday?
30 Dec 2021 19:00:52
Looks like Forest are signing Keinan Davis on loan for the remainder of the season. Lots of reports on social media.
1.) 30 Dec 2021 21:44:20
Can’t be any worse than Lyle Taylor.
In fairness from the very little I’ve seen of him. He could be a good option from the bench at to start a game here and there. Hopefully SC can get a tune out of him, if he can he’ll be a real handful.
2.) 30 Dec 2021 23:44:39
Stats look promising 🤦ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸.

Updated current squad, presuming Aurier and Sidibe sign.
Goalkeepers: x3 (2x homegrown, 1x club homegrown)
HENDERSON (hg), HENNESSEY (hg), SMITH (chg) .
Defenders: x11 (4x homegrown, 1x club homegrown)
WILLIAMS (hg), AURIER, BIANCONE, SIDIBE, WORRALL (chg), NIAKHATE, McKENNA, COOK (hg), MBE SOH, TOFFOLO (hg), RICHARDS (hg) .
Midfielders: x7 (2x homegrown, 1x club homegrown)
YATES (chg), MANGALA, FREULER, O'BRIEN (hg), KOUYATE, COLBACK (hg), CAFU.
Forwards: x7 (4x homegrown, 2x club homegrown)
LINGARD (hg), JOHNSON (chg), GIBBS-WHITE (hg), MIGHTEN (chg), DENNIS, AWONIYI (hg), SURRIDGE (hg), TAYLOR (hg) .
The above includes 28x players (12x homegrown, 5x club homegrown) .
Limit is 25, must include 8x homegrown and 4x club homegrown (maximum of 17x 'foreign' players) . Further hg or chg players under the age of 21 can be added beyond the 25-man limit.
Strong possibility that Colback, Taylor and Cafu might be moved on, and Mighten is tipped to go out on loan. This would give us a squad of 24 players (10x homegrown, 4x club homegrown) .
So still room for another player if required (or two if we don't register Brennan Johnson as he is under 21 and can play without being named in the squad) .
1.) 26 Aug 2022 11:27:16
Where Nottingham Forest No one likes us and we don’t care…. so stick it where the sun don’t shine and I don’t mean Sunderland.
At least my all time Hero Stuart Psycho Pearce is in our corner ?????????⚪️Stevie coopers red white army.
17 Aug 2022 10:18:47

HENDERSON (hg), HENNESSEY (hg), SMITH (chg) .
Defenders: x9 (4x homegrown, 1x club homegrown)
WILLIAMS (hg), BIANCONE, WORRALL (chg), NIAKHATE, McKENNA, COOK (hg), TOFFOLO (hg), RICHARDS (hg), MBE SOH.
Midfielders: x7 (2x homegrown, 1x club homegrown)
YATES (chg), MANGALA, FREULER, O'BRIEN (hg), KOUYATE, COLBACK (hg), CAFU.
Forwards: x8 (3x homegrown, 2x club homegrown)
LINGARD (hg), AOUAR, JOHNSON (chg), MIGHTEN (chg), DENNIS, AWONIYI (hg), SURRIDGE (hg), MAUPAY, TAYLOR hg) .
The above includes 27x players (11x homegrown, 5x club homegrown) .
Limit is 25, must include 8x homegrown and 4x club homegrown (maximum of 17x 'foreign' players) . Further hg or chg players under the age of 21 can be added beyond the 25-man limit.
1.) 17 Aug 2022 10:58:37
Sutty mate Aouar looks total class
Can dribble at once lots of tricks can play a deadly pass good deadball and penalty taker and knows where the net is.
2.) 17 Aug 2022 12:02:08
Knew you would sort it Wonky nice one mate. Two to go then, Taylor (sell) and Smith for me. use an under21 goalie on the unlikely event you would need one?.
3.) 17 Aug 2022 12:43:12
Mighten will go out on loan
Taylor will go one way or the other
Smith will stay in the squad
Think cafu will be moved on
Be interesting as scarpa is supposed to sign in Jan when Brazilian league finishes
He has some great stats so far with his club top of the league by 9 points knows where the net is.
4.) 17 Aug 2022 13:23:42
We may be after another LWB too so would take up another squad space (unless he's homegrown and U21) ?.
5.) 17 Aug 2022 13:44:25
With that in mind either Biancone or mbe soh will probably go out on loan I'd say.
15 Jul 2022 15:15:32
I've just read that since Lolley suffered an injury v Coventry City in Spain he's been removed from the first team squad and been sent to train with the U23 side, along with Xande Silva and Nuno Da Costa.
Looks like you miserable lot are getting your wish. He's on his way out. One knock too many : (.
1.) 15 Jul 2022 16:21:12
Just been watching world cup highlights of Scotland v Holland in Argentina 1968. Gemini really put a shift in and scored twice, the second rated up there as one of the best goals. Now if we get anyone near him in midfield I am happy.
2.) 15 Jul 2022 16:30:25
Neither Lolley or Grabban look Premiership players and Lolley has been poor a long time now. They Silva da Costa and Ionnou need moving on as well as Arter. Dead wood becomes a dead weight but I salute them for all their talent and effort in the past. Still think we can get David and Garner.
3.) 15 Jul 2022 16:33:55
If lolly could rediscover his form from couple seasons ago he’d be a starter. But because of injury after injury I’m afraid he’s done. Get him loaned out. If he comes good have him back or sell.
4.) 15 Jul 2022 19:13:27
1951,I'll have a pint of what your on mate!
5.) 15 Jul 2022 21:27:14
You need more than that, I've just downed my 5th.
6.) 15 Jul 2022 22:00:55
Sutty lolley just isn't good enough anymore for the championship never mind the Premier league.
7.) 16 Jul 2022 00:54:27
I'll never forget his match against Villa a few years ago, completely destroyed them.
Past his best now for sure, injuries hasn't helped, but was a great signing for us from Huddersfield when they were in the prem.
I thank you for you service fella and best of luck to you.
15 Jul 2022 08:37:13
Article about Marinakis if anyone is interested? Certainly paints a very positive picture, maybe one we're not used to given his controversial background and alleged activities.
1.) 15 Jul 2022 10:24:30
yes a very positive picture, well worth reading, thanks for posting sutty.
2.) 15 Jul 2022 11:24:18
Great article sutty and thank you for posting it, Evangelous Marinakis is definitely a winner and a good man with a big heart, he has my respect and I’ve never believed for one minute that any of the rubbish printed about him was true……just typical jurno’s (filth) not all just most of them.
I’m sure Marinakis and the clubs great supporters will get Nottingham Forest Football club back to where it and it’s supporters belong……. and that’s back in Europe, I predict we’ll be there in 2 seasons time.
BELIEVE FELLOW REDS I said cooper would take us back to the premiership, next stop for cooper is to take NFFC marching back into Europe.
30 May 2022 17:51:25
I'd love to see us get Liverpool at home on the opening weekend.
Would be exactly 30 seasons ago that Forest introduced the Premier League to the World via Sky Sports 😋🔴⚪.
1.) 30 May 2022 18:39:04
Bet we get Brentford? .
2.) 30 May 2022 21:53:21
Give me the rich toon persons, don't get me wrong, loads have congratulated me. Well us. On our success. But they really think there going to win everything now because of there money.
3.) 30 May 2022 22:26:20
🤣🤣 well done switching to persons ed.
{Ed033's Note - thanks.

Pretty sure those involved - Forest, The PL, the legal teams - will know a likely outcome but I don't think anything will be set in stone just yet.
26 Jan 2024 09:08:47
Who'd have thought that playing in front of three fans for £250k a week against a bunch of nobodies would become tedious? Well I never.
Bloody bubble lasted longer in the Chinese Super League lol.
04 Jan 2024 08:44:55
Accounts for 2022/ 23 ended June, Johnson was sold in September so won't be included in the accounts.
Forest will argue they kept him beyond June to claim an extra £10m+ on his transfer fee.
Think it's going to be tight. Hopefully Big M has a few contacts.
03 Jan 2024 11:54:34
The PL is looking at everyone, it's the annual check of club accounts and we (and every other club) will find out if we've been good boys or not on 14th January. It's only the press that are targetting Forest as 'most likely', no the PL.
23 Aug 2023 12:02:33
I'd take Greenwood any day. Let the kid play football.
It's easy to cast judgement on people but not so wise when you know hardly any of the facts. The girl in question and her family are ok with it, what makes you so unforgiving?

20 Sep 2024 18:46:53
Had this conversation only the other night (post 1977 only, I'm not that old). We went for that back four too.
Shilton.
Anderson, Walker, Burns, Pearce.
Roy, Keane, McGovern, Robertson,
Collymore, Clough.
Subs: Sutton, Lloyd, Clark, Bowyer, Webb, Hodge, O'Neill.
Always thought HVB was better than Shilts but he was only here for 2 seasons.
19 Jul 2024 16:33:21
It was £10.6m for Morata.
11 Mar 2024 17:57:12
Yeah that starting line up was a shocker, Stevie. Wood, Origi and MGW as a lopsided front-three (ish) looked schoolboy. No pace, little energy and your best forwards sat on the bench. Clueless.
11 Mar 2024 11:25:13
Yeah, that's my biggest concern, Stevie F. The bubble has burst. That spirit and atmosphere that Cooper created gave us some soul, we had fight and a togetherness. I think that has gone now. Now it's just a team full of mercenaries who are probably already looking at who they're going to move to in the Summer.
Replacing Cooper with Nuno has been a poor choice. I wasn't against SC getting the boot but Nuno never inspired me as an appointment, and I've seen nothing from him to suggest that things are going to get any better. We'd have been better off sticking with Cooper if we're going down (which I think we are). We made a desperate attempt to save the season by changing Managers and it's only made the situation worse.
Nuno will be off in the Summer, along with the majority of our better players - MGW, Murillo, Awoniyi etc. and we'll be back in the Championship with Bowler, Panzo and Worrall in the starting line up.
In hindsight - Should've stuck with Cooper!
15 Feb 2024 13:41:57
Hey, Red Balloons.
It's 43 succesful tackles PLUS 38 fouls, and 458 is the number of completed passes. Leave the analysis to the grown ups, mate, you just wave and clap.
