No news on Soh then?

bsered

1.) 11 Sep 2020 19:40:17
Watch him not be announced and just rock up in the starting line up tomorrow or something daft like that.

2.) 11 Sep 2020 19:45:15
He is feeling Soh, Soh about the deal. 😁.

3.) 11 Sep 2020 20:50:01
PSG have put on twitter that he has signed for NFFC!

4.) 11 Sep 2020 21:05:15
On the Forest site now.

5.) 11 Sep 2020 21:31:20
That will upset the doom and gloomers 🤷🏻‍♂️.

6.) 11 Sep 2020 21:32:40
He's 6 feet 1 inch so let's hope he can stop some of the crosses that we seem unable to do much about. He's also supposed to be a "ball playing centre back", so no hoofing it upfield please!

7.) 11 Sep 2020 22:13:00
Thats short compared with dawson worrall and figs but i hear they do special traing in france on jumping.
Its called frog trampoline 😁😁.

03 Sep 2020 10:57:25
There's a report out - and you cannot trust journo gossip i know, which says that Olympiacos are trying to do a balancing act over a Portuguese player they want, but that Forest may be involved in the money because we owe something like £8 million in transfer debt - all to do with Carvalho. It sounds a mess but if true it puts Cash's money in perspective. We shouldn't over estimate what the money situation is like.

bsered

1.) 03 Sep 2020 12:37:10
Besred if we are having to sell cash to fund the likes of carvslaho then we are in deep poo. If carvalaho came through the ranks he would have been told sorry son you are not good enough. Its bonkers.

Pantilimon off to Turkey on 1 year deal?

bsered

1.) 30 Aug 2020 19:12:37
Lets do the funky chicken 🤣🤣🤣.

2.) 01 Sep 2020 17:24:05
Now it's a 2 Year Deal. . .

15 Aug 2020 09:17:14
There's talk of us signing Ioannou, Cypriot/ English lad playing in Cyprus, ex Man. Utd. reserves Captain, 24. Has had a "hip problem" in the past. Central defender.

bsered

1.) 15 Aug 2020 11:59:02
Hmmm. Hip problems rings alarm bells.

2.) 15 Aug 2020 18:30:28
lyle Taylors wiki say he's playing for nottingham forest hehe.

3.) 15 Aug 2020 19:13:30
I wonder which fan did that. 😁.

4.) 15 Aug 2020 19:53:01
Haha pretty much haha. Hope he's announced soon. don't normally message on here but read every comment daily and love the vibes from everyone haha.

14 Aug 2020 21:16:46
We've signed a Greek 17 year old midfielder, presumably for the U18s.

bsered

1.) 16 Aug 2020 14:32:22
He doesn't look a day over 9 years old, bless him.

I will post the only comments I'll make this year:

Sad to hear CH being slagged off by so many. He has offloaded Hefele, Sow, Blackett, Ionnou. Bachirous. Arter and Bong's time is up, and Carvalho has another year on contract I think, so he is trying to clear out the dead wood when he can. To my mind Grabban, Taylor, Da Costa and Lolley also need to be released at some point.
CH has gone to the youth teams as many of us wanted, but too many on here do not give him credit for that. Also the newest appointments are younger men, something many on here also wanted.
As for formations, and the complaints about too many holding midfielders - we use two because we need two, when we don't need two it will be reduced to one, but we are not near that yet. England had seven defensive players and got to the European final.
CH is starting from a low point this year, and money for him seems scarce, but talk of replacing the manager is basically nonsense - look where that has got the club so far - nowhere. We are not going to be able to replace Marinakis and the set up has improved with Vrentros out. Some people are just not realistic and shout out for the Manager's Head straight away or permanently - that is no solution to anything.
We will have to go through some very tough times but the beginnings of a good side, minus a striker is taking shape.
I would have thought it would be far more profitable for fans to support the Club, the Manager and the players rather than hiding behind critcism for the sake of it.
I want Forest and its staff in all areas to succeed, but to do that needs stamina, support and time, something we have not really invested in over the last 20 years.
See you all in July.

1.) 22 Aug 2021 18:46:07
Bs red. what planet are you on defending Hughton?
He is the by far the worst manager Forest has had.
If he float's your boat then Division 1 is what you will be seeing next season.

2.) 22 Aug 2021 18:59:39
I would have no trouble keeping Hughton if the had got better from last season, if anything the players that Hughton had playing for him last season that are playing for him this season have got worse.

3.) 22 Aug 2021 19:12:20
Tha5s because the players are frightened to try and express themselves they are too worried about defending.

4.) 22 Aug 2021 19:40:10
Bsered the best post for ages on here, well said. Please come back and speak again.

5.) 22 Aug 2021 19:41:32
Well said bsered. Absolutely no point in replacing BY until he has worked with team post transfer completion. If anyone can think of a top manager who would definitely take on the little wanted job then I might have a rethink but for now it's Carry on Chris and good luck.

6.) 22 Aug 2021 19:57:55
Sorry typo. CH not BY past technology!

7.) 22 Aug 2021 19:58:42
WOW. for all of you who wish Hughton to stay all I can is I am shocked!
The man has made this team into a bunch of fairies with zero confidence.
The worst manager to ever lead Forest.
Hughton out ASAP!

8.) 22 Aug 2021 20:01:36
Your having a laugh?
Five straight defeats
Two wins in eighteen games.
A midfield that's frightened of crossing the half way line and an isolated striker who don't stand a chance if scoring.

Those tactics won't change no matter who we sign
AND that's THE PROBLEM.

9.) 22 Aug 2021 20:06:40
bsred I totally agree with you
Ive stopped posting as to be honest the cryticism of the club by some is incesant without foundation and I can't be bothered to argue against it.
The owner : Has backed the cub financially, supported every manager with funds, kept us within FFP and developing infastructure .
the manager is negative but can only play tactics that the players he has available are capable off.
Fans wanted the bloated squad to be thinned out
that has happened, now posters are moaning why we aren't playing the bomb squad remainers.
they noaned that last season signing 14 players was too much, this season 4 signings is not enough.
posters wanted the young lads to be played and given time to mature. Well that's lasted 3 games.
some have complained about the academy producing below average players and is not cost effective
. Well in last 5 years we have sold £40 millions worth of players from our youth ranks.
posters complain we shouldn't sell our academy products, but you show me a club that doesn't sell its players.
Welcome to Garner who is showing more dedication to our cause than so called fans . A true fan shows his colours when times are difficult, its easy to jump on the skirts of a winning succesful team.
No more posts from me i'm done.

10.) 22 Aug 2021 20:44:57
Bsered, some of those players were out of contract so he hasn’t exactly offloaded them but I agree that some of the others need moving on. Regarding formations and young players CH just doesn’t via from 4231 no matter players available, opponents or in play situations. We’ve already been done so many times already this season down the wings due to the weakness and inexperience in both fullback positions. An obvious solution would be to go 3 centre backs to give them more protection but he just won’t shift his tactics. Like for like substitutes in games we are behind in 🤷🏻‍♂️.

11.) 22 Aug 2021 21:06:15
Trentender I've not asked for players I've asked the manager to change his tactics as has garry birtles and the vast majority of forest fans surely you can see this formation us not working?

12.) 22 Aug 2021 21:07:20
Trentender how was Warburton backed, a few cheap lads and Murphy the experienced striker hardly backing was it, loose change compared to other managers.

13.) 22 Aug 2021 23:35:49
Don't give up trentender mate. your opinion means as much as anyone elses. that's what the site is based on as you know. Head up. Keep fighting your cause.

14.) 22 Aug 2021 23:44:48
Trentender,
Let’s try again, what has been done with that 40 million and who is to blame for it being wasted? As ever a list littered with contradictions . Selling our best players abs imposing completed dross on our managers is no badge of honour . Our coaches and managers have no hope under this regime .

We sell players to mask over the shocking administration of the club . No manager will ever succeed here and I feel sorry for all of them that have been lured here just to be stabbed on the back . Enjoy league one - it’ll fun happy clapping in a half empty stadium, why not sit in the main stand? Yes that’s the one, the one that less chance of being built than a Canary Wharf complex in morecambe bay .

I decided to opt out of commenting on this site some time ago, but I'll chip in my two pennorth at the end of an abysmal season.
Things will not change till the owner changes, and even then we might get someone worse.
Hughton saved the Club from relegation.
The team has a good defence but no proper creative midfield and no strikers.
Many players need moving out or on and younger ones need bringing in.
I'm stating the obvious, but it will take another two seasons to build a team capable of a top six challenge.

bsered

1.) 10 May 2021 08:07:16
Welcome back bsered. Smart comments and to me its a must we have stability through what i think is a transitional time for the club. Randal is being listened to and hughton has the confidence from within. We cannot allow another manager who has asessed the strengths and weakneess through this last season be chucked out of the club where he can act on everything he has seen. If mr m wants return on investment he has to stop throwing daft money around and allow hughton to stop the rot and rebuild.

2.) 10 May 2021 08:52:29
Why will it take 2seasons? Barnsley went from relegation certainties to a top six team inside 2months, Cardiff have done similar things in the past,

3.) 10 May 2021 10:17:12
The problem at our club is not having a nucleus of players to build a team around . Both Cardiff and Barnsley did not change the make up of their teams yet did well the next season. We change almost all of the team and look where we ended up!
If indeed a while host of players leave including all the loans it will take 2 seasons at least to form a competitive group of players. Blackburn, Coventry are two examples of teams who have not changed and both will do well next season ie Blackburn play offs, Coventry mid table, where I hope we will be.

4.) 10 May 2021 11:44:55
Good observation Stevie, On yer bike Hughton and get someone in who knows what they are doing.!

5.) 10 May 2021 12:16:39
I think the owner has learned and is going to give the manager more control. Unfortunately he looks poised to give control to the most boring manager I have seen in years!

If we had given Martin O'Neil this opportunity we would be playing in the Premier League now. Imagine what he would have done with our youngsters if he could have spent the money we spent the last two seasons on a few good professionals.

Do you think O'Neil would have kept Grabban last summer after what happened at the end of last season? He would have replaced Grabban with a committed striker! We would have had a comptetent holding midfielder giving us the option of playing only one at home. O'Neil also, as a European Cup winning winger, understands the importance of good wide players and we would likely have been playing two wingers at home and scoring goals.

6.) 10 May 2021 17:44:28
Yes RedCyclist, couldn’t agree more.

13 Sep 2020 10:21:13
Ownership is the single biggest problem with the Club. The Owner chooses the Manager and should not choose the team or its players nor have a DoF doing it. I can't see that changing any time soon, so it is what it is, and it's not going to be pretty, will be very frustrating and looks like a mid-table finish again - if we are lucky. Covid will make things worse, and I'm not sure how many fans will want to watch the football the Club plays.
Personally I'm sick of saying the same things over and over again so you'll see/hear no more from me (a relief to some of you no doubt) I've enjoyed the banter on here and it's a good site, but it can do without me. Best wishes to everyone, especially the Eds who do a great job.

{Ed001's Note - sorry to see you go mate, I hope you will be back soon.}

I'm sure you will be back and your post's will be missed. 👍.

I did say last week that SL is on a next game basis and asked the qustion about last season a manager getting sacked after 1 game. Who is lamouchi anyway? Never knew him as a player and certainly never as a manager. We just trip from one catastrophy to another with him. Never learns which is downright stupidity.

3.) 12 Sep 2020 18:11:59
I'd also include the Owner and our Duff DOF to blame for the roller Coaster ride of shambles.
Announce Promotion now.

I have to agree Stevie: it's not the players' faults he can't get his tactics or selections right, nor understand what to do during the actual game - there seems to be a lack of communication between him and the lads at times.
If we lose more games now I can't see why the owner would want him to stay - that ought to have been made clear in Greece, but even then I'm not optimistic about who Mr. M will choose next!

We'll be stuck with him till Xmas, but then another nonentity will be appointed. Karanka and O'Neill saw which way the wind was blowing and got out quick, good for them. We shall stagnate in mid table or slide further backwards with this owner and manager.

4 attacking players on in the last 20 minutes including 2 up front and we cannot put one past a visibly tiring QPR team. Says it all really. How many matches now has Lamouchi failed to win? No tactics, no hope. Forest need a dynamic motivator to fire them up on and off the pitch, but none in sight! Those naive enough to think we would improve this season are gullible at best, sadly deluded at worst.
