So let’s have a quick review.
Wrexham take Chelsea to extra time. Forest lost on penalties after extra time.
Forest draw with Wolves who beat Liverpool, drew with Arsenal, etc.
Drew with CP with 10 men.
I know, let’s sack the manger. Poor judgement.
1.) 08 Mar 2026 08:05:43
The Man City game may have saved Vitor for now, but he could be gone by the end of the month if we don't win a couple of games anywhere.
2.) 08 Mar 2026 09:21:30
I honestly think we will, mate. You could see that the team have been playing for him v City and Liverpool, particularly. Spurs look completely shot, and void of confidence. MGW and Anderson have stepped up, Murillo's back to his brilliant best, Williams continues to give his all too, not forgetting Sels. So yes, as Ian Dury said, Reasons to Be Cheerful!!!
3.) 08 Mar 2026 09:25:22
Did Chelsea lose? Or did they win? It looks like Chelsea are the name in the draw, not Wrexham. What point are you trying to make?
4.) 08 Mar 2026 10:57:29
As I've said before, the only predictable thing about our Supreme Leader is his unpredictability. Not a good basis for running anything, really.
5.) 08 Mar 2026 12:56:20
Jester, even Ange got 39 days FFS. ????
6.) 08 Mar 2026 13:46:27
The only mistakes our owner has made are hiring Dyche and Postecoglou in the first place. Nuno forced his hand with constructive dismissal, conveniently signing his 3year contract first. Nuno needed to realise he was first team coach at Forest; he didn’t run the Marinakis Group. If the owner wanted to put a layer of management into his business, then that’s his prerogative.
Nuno should have got on with the job he was being well remunerated for, but Nuno never stops anywhere long; his career is littered with similar incidents. This is the best owner this club has ever had. All this "Supreme Leader" b******s. It’s not a meeting of the politburo, Stokey.
7.) 08 Mar 2026 14:44:30
Lol, Stevie, let's see where we are in 2 seasons, probably in League One by then, with relegation, FFP. Because the owner won't sit back and let people who know about football do their job. He should stick to managing his boats.
8.) 08 Mar 2026 14:50:14
I've always given praise to our owner where it's due, Stevie. His passion, ambition, and investment in the club cannot be faulted.
But have you perhaps glossed over the fact that when you make mistakes as the top man, then the buck stops with you.
Just to jog your memory....
Out of all the managers he's appointed at Forest, only two have been successful: Cooper and Nuno.
Points deduction?
Clattenburg?
Spitting at a ref?
Irate public announcements about refs, basically saying they are bent.
Very lucky we've not been sued for defamation.
Ditto, appointment of certain officials put in charge of our games.
Publicly coming onto the pitch to berate the manager.
Accosting refs in the tunnel.
Appointing Edu.
I could go on....
Forest were many fans' second club (particularly after the Clough era). Now we are perceived as a basket case and a bunch of whingers.
9.) 08 Mar 2026 16:20:29
Incidentally, Stevie, the title of Supreme Leader is Iranian and would be set above the Council of Guardians in that country.
The Politburo was the senior Council of the Russian Communist Party, whose members, including the leader, would address each other as "Comrade". Just saying.
10.) 08 Mar 2026 16:40:08
Maybe Mr M sees this season as breaking all the employment rules. 39 days is there to be beaten.
11.) 08 Mar 2026 17:29:04
It can't be denied that we are now quite disliked by the neutral. The neutral must be torn as to which scalp they'd like to see, Spurs (who are despised by the neutral) or ours.
I think Levy is the figure people have disliked, but it makes the entire club public enemy number 1...
12.) 08 Mar 2026 17:58:40
Mr. M is an evil necessity for Forest.
Yes, he funds the club without doubt, but with that you get a hot-headed, unpredictable owner who's mind changes depending on how he wakes up.
13.) 08 Mar 2026 18:17:06
Most clubs have glove puppets, it's just the choice of glove puppets he gets wrong. I think he's done well for us other than that. He can't run the club without glove puppets; he just needs to recruit the right folk.
I'd personally like a Freedman or Pearce-type character in that role. He just needs someone with good knowledge who could oversee a better approach to signing players.
14.) 08 Mar 2026 19:05:35
Stokey, of course you've never addressed us as comrades on here?
15.) 08 Mar 2026 19:02:31
Stokey I know what the politburo is, don't need a lecture about it, the supreme leader is also used in connection with the leader of North Korea, an insult,
16.) 08 Mar 2026 19:39:48
I love it when you two have a conversation. It's like a grown up version of Skeggs and DTP having a tiff.
17.) 08 Mar 2026 19:41:40
Any thoughts on who you get doing that back office role, Stevie? Seems he'll stick with his organisational structure, so who the hell can we get to succeed and make the club prosper within it? Tough one, isn't it?
18.) 08 Mar 2026 20:08:20
Stevie, ….. and away …... ?????
19.) 08 Mar 2026 20:50:38
Stokey. ?
20.) 08 Mar 2026 20:51:37
Gazzi. ?
21.) 08 Mar 2026 21:11:56
I do love it when Stokey and Stevie set upon each other. They seem to be as stubborn as each other. However, for those into star signs - as a Scorpio, I am a black-belt ninja at stubbornness.
Amateurs.
22.) 08 Mar 2026 21:34:37
Lego Scorpio here too, mate. ?
23.) 08 Mar 2026 22:27:54
Capricorn... Goat! ????
24.) 08 Mar 2026 22:29:14
Oh great, now it's turning into a Dear Deidre site. And we're also talking about star signs. How sweet you boys are. ? Come back, Dtp, all is forgiven. You can take the side of the girls' brigade up above. ??
25.) 08 Mar 2026 22:56:43
Libra here, trying to balance both sides.......
26.) 08 Mar 2026 22:45:40
Skegs, says the bloke who boozed in an imaginary pub, drank imaginary ale, and constantly went on about coronation street and Gail tilsley on here, ?, if you're going to carry on talking c**p it pays to have a good memory, now I thought we'd agreed to ignore each other's posts,? Shall we start again from now??
27.) 08 Mar 2026 23:08:57
And I thought it was supposed to be about football. ?? And, no surprise to anyone, Aries, the God of War. ?
28.) 08 Mar 2026 23:16:57
Bloody sheep☝️??, unfortunately Stokey your not the GOAT, you have to share it with me. ??
29.) 08 Mar 2026 23:32:33
?? God of War? I've little doubt in my mind that if a car backfired, you'd need a change of trousers. ?
30.) 09 Mar 2026 07:12:30
Only Football supporters and true Forest followers were allowed membership at the Live Lounge. Don't knock it, those who were allowed in. ???????
31.) 09 Mar 2026 09:27:20
Jester, I wouldn't come into the live chat if I was paid. I've seen enough gibberish from skegs on here to last me a lifetime, and, obviously, not being a true follower of Forest like you lot. I'm usually at the match, and, as people that actually go to the City Ground know, it's almost impossible to get a phone signal in there.
32.) 09 Mar 2026 09:34:21
Probably a bit narrow-minded and a lack of imagination; not everyone can go to the matches for whatever reason. It's just fun. Sorry you cannot see that. ?
33.) 09 Mar 2026 09:59:10
Hi.
Cancer, and my name is Larry.
I like everybody and everything.
Much like our own Larry on here, and anyone who disagrees can just "Float On" as far as I'm concerned. ??????
34.) 09 Mar 2026 10:02:40
Very polite Jester, i definitely wouldn't have been. Another Richard Head who thinks because he attends games weekly his opinion is better than ours. ?
35.) 09 Mar 2026 11:08:49
Some great star signs posts on here. ????
36.) 09 Mar 2026 12:58:43
Stevie couldn't handle a laugh and a bit of banter on livechat. He'd be ripping his string vest off while turning green. Then spitting his dummy out, and he'd be off again with dtp. ??
37.) 09 Mar 2026 16:18:48
Aries (March 21 - April 19) is the first fire sign of the zodiac, symbolized by the Ram and ruled by Mars. Known for being energetic, impulsive, and courageous, Aries individuals are natural leaders, often initiating projects and embracing challenges with bold optimism. They are independent, direct, and highly competitive, though they can also be impatient.
Skegs, you old ram!
38.) 09 Mar 2026 16:50:43
Winter you need to point out where I said my opinion was more important, but you probably can't, because it's not what I said is it,? It was jester who suggested I wasn't a true follower of Forest, and wouldn't be allowed into live chat( like I give a s*** ) not the other way around, if you could be bothered to read the posts properly, which you obviously didn't.
you can be as impolite as you like, being called a dick head is a badge of honour coming from you, because it definitely takes one to know one,
39.) 09 Mar 2026 17:25:18
I'm Taurus, full of bull s***. ?
40.) 09 Mar 2026 17:52:03
Remarkably calm reply, Stevie, you must be summoning your inner Bruce Banner this afternoon. ?
41.) 09 Mar 2026 18:05:42
Winter, you listen to your pal Skegs, and take everything he says as gospel, unfortunately. I'm always calm and measured in my life, but if people want to call me names, it just shows me what kind of people they are, especially when they don't read posts properly and jump to conclusions.
If you want to perpetuate this Mr Angry image of me, go for it. I couldn't give a flying.
42.) 09 Mar 2026 18:53:18
Those of you who backed a Turkey and Dyche need to get over it. Dyche was an Edu appointment and Edu has been sacked now. What does that tell you?
It tells me the owner realised his mistake.
The new boss has the team doing well. We were unlucky at Liverpool. He's only had one bad game, we've looked good in the others.
43.) 09 Mar 2026 19:24:19
Taurus... Excellent Bowie. ??????
44.) 09 Mar 2026 19:26:38
Stevie, i think you are the one jumping to assumptions, did i once call you a d**kh**d? Did i once mention your name in relation to said name i supposedly called you in particular? Assumptions and accusations. ??
45.) 09 Mar 2026 19:32:25
Winter, I think we both know that's a load of b******s, mate.
46.) 09 Mar 2026 19:41:48
It goes way deeper than that, Cyclist.
The club has been a basket case from the minute Edu walked through the door.
He's been an absolute disaster, and thankfully Big M has seen the light and the error of his ways.
You asked a while back what Edu had actually done wrong.
You now have your answer, everything!
47.) 09 Mar 2026 19:50:23
Only word used in relation to anyone is "his"; it could be anyone here. You really should read the post properly. Assumptions and accusations. Just saying. ?... ?
48.) 09 Mar 2026 19:54:22
Opps and "he"... I really should read my posts. ??
49.) 09 Mar 2026 20:27:34
Are you really a Scorpio, Stevie? That shocks me a lot from your posts!!
Brothers in Arms in many ways, mate.
50.) 09 Mar 2026 20:27:49
Fred, I asked, because apart from the Dyche appointment, we didn't really know which decisions were Edu's. One example is that the signings of Jesus, Cuiabano and Cunha were probably Marinakis via Textor, as was, I suspect, Ange.
Which signings were really Edu's was in doubt, as was whether they would work out.
Some might still work out, but in many cases I doubt it.
Clearly, Marinakis thinks some of the Turkish signings were Edu's fault, so that clears it up for me.
51.) 09 Mar 2026 20:31:11
The irony is, most fans agreed with Nuno about not having enough cover in the fb positions. We just thought it was idiotic to go public with a man like Marinakis in charge, especially just after signing a three-year deal.
Too many egos at work in the Forest hierarchy. Marinakis may be a flawed personality, but at least, if it is clearly him in charge, there are no power struggles. His record in appointing managers isn't that bad, apart from Ange.
52.) 09 Mar 2026 20:38:34
Cyclist, in answer to your question, mate, it tells me that our owner's recruitment skills are not his strong suit, as evidenced by the fact that 8 of his 10 managers since he arrived in 2017 have been sacked, on average, with less than a season in charge. The only successes have been Cooper and Nuno.
As for the off-field appointments, they change almost as frequently.
In particular, he must have either appointed incompetent accountants, causing us a points deduction for breach of FFP, or, more likely, he appointed David Randle as Chairman (a top sports law KC), then chose to ignore his expert legal advice.
It's just as well Forest are his hobby, and shipping is his profession...
53.) 09 Mar 2026 20:47:59
There have been some really strange decisions and a catalogue of errors.
Zinchenko (Edu must have had a hand in that one?) was signed on a season-long loan, which was terminated early.
Signing Kalimuendo and then letting him go out on loan left us with one fit striker.
Either Marinakis is using him as a scapegoat or he realises the guy was a disaster.
54.) 09 Mar 2026 20:48:50
Marinakis has obviously recruited better than previous owners, as none of them got us into the promised land.
If you think Marinakis treats Forest like his private toy, obviously that's true. Allowing capitalism to take hold of what were member-owned organisations was never going to go well.
It's like the privatisation of utilities in sporting terms. Somebody benefits, but it isn't the fans. We now pay more and get less, just like when we turn on a tap, light or try to catch a train.
Clough was right.
55.) 09 Mar 2026 21:31:31
Lego, yes mate.
56.) 09 Mar 2026 22:17:11
It's a low bar, Cyclist, but I guess 2 hits out of ten is better than none, mate.
I think it was President Harry H. Truman who had the big sign on his Oval Office desk saying "The Buck Stops Here". If only people like Mr M had the same ethos.
57.) 09 Mar 2026 23:25:42
Stokey, I thought you were supposed to be intelligent. The buck does stop with Marinakis; he literally pays for every mistake he makes. Where else does the buck stop? If we are relegated, the value of his football business decreases massively, and a loss in turnover of over 100million. So would you have us believe the 'buck stops'?
58.) 10 Mar 2026 01:17:42
"Ho ho ho, Green Giant." ?
59.) 09 Mar 2026 21:32:09
Maranakis might be learning by butting out of football decisions and paying and leaving people alone that know what there doing now. Biggest mistake he ever made not listening to nuno simples and a fact that could cost us and him big time.and edu has all the headlines now at forest what he wished for.but for the wrong reasons.
Its took a long time for Maranakis to realise that he made the wrong choice with edu but fair play to him he's got rid of the twerp before the end of the season and didn't let him spend in January good riddance to bad rubbish even dtp seen this coming that's why he disappeared doesn't do i was wrong.again and again ??
60.) 10 Mar 2026 06:50:38
Well, skegs, he's doing something right. He owns a multi club football group, a shipping line, multiple other businesses, and half of Athens. My guess is his decisions in life overall have been slightly superior to yours.
61.) 10 Mar 2026 10:42:15
Stevie, you talk about loss of £100 million in turnover? Breaking it down, where do you think the Prems TV money goes? Any losses are supposedly restricted by FFP.
Our owner's wealth is estimated to be around £5 Billion. The cost of building a new oil tanker is approximately £100 million. He has around 150 of them.
He will have suffered financial loss, but to him it's like loose change down the back of his settee. We are his hobby, not his business, as I said. A mere trinket for which he will get a big chunk of his investment back, no matter what division we are in when he gets bored and decides to sell. The buck is hardly stopping anywhere near him, is it, in any meaningful way?
62.)
10 Mar 2026 11:37:26
Stokey, with people like Maranakis, it's all about pride and ego. They've got all the money they need, and nobody will be more upset than him the way the season has gone. He'll realise he's made mistakes, and that will hurt him far more than any monetary loss. We are not his hobby. Us and Olympiacos are his obsession, that's why he gets so emotionally invested, and these outbursts you talk about occur. But, in the end, the buck most definitely stops at his desk.
06 Mar 2026 08:33:04
It is not a surprise that the club looks at social media comments from fans, although I suspect it's more Face book etc than this site. Even within this group SD caused very opposing views. However SD did get us out of the relegation zone. As he said he didn't know why he had been sacked. It was not the results he achieved as overall we were doing quite well. Posters on this site didn't like his style of football calling it ' Dycheball '. I never knew or even saw what that meant. Yet some posters were vehement in their anti SD comments about this. They need to say why playing out from the back is now better. I don't think Williams wouldn't agree nor Sels. Did a group of players go to Edu as a fellow countryman who then told Big M.
I might do SD, SS and IW a great disservice but they are likely not to have spoken Portuguese or even Spanish.
A language barrier can be a big impediment to success at an English club, leading to misunderstanding, feelings of victimisation etc. Well done NEP for publishing this article. SDs comments were typical of the man, who speaks his mind. Calls a spade a spade.
VP is now our manager and as fans we should respect that. As with all managers including Apostocolou, they have a mixture of good and not so good elements, and VP will evoke a mixed response on this site. Fortunately we demonstrated on Wednesday the talent that is embedded in our team - irrespective of a manager. They are the players who will save our season, in my opinion, because essentially they know 27, 000 watch them at the City ground. Certainly our top two players respect that. So their next job is to beat Fulham.
1.) 06 Mar 2026 10:34:40
Great post, Nuno! Agree entirely, mate, with your comments. I've seen every game, either under Dyche on the screen or pitch side, and I still don't know what 'Dyche ball' is. Very little change in style under any of the 4 managers this season. Perhaps a bit more playing out from the back (better with Ortega, not so clever with Sels), and more pressing under VP.
As for Ange's supposedly more attacking style, it is just like watching a car crash unfold. No pre-season, players unsuited to this style, no time on the training ground; a hopeless appointment by Mr M.
But, we move on. The only predictable thing with our Supreme Leader is his unpredictability.
2.) 06 Mar 2026 11:01:38
Dycheball master. ?
3.) 06 Mar 2026 11:31:33
Those two players haven't given their best all season. They showed up at Man City to sell themselves, which I said they would do before the game. And, if you think they're more bothered about the 27000 fans than the big purse they will get from the likes of Man City, you're living in cuckoo land. Yes, yes, Nuno.
03 Mar 2026 18:22:42
My team for tomorrow night

1.) 03 Mar 2026 19:10:57
My team for tomorrow night.

Kenny Burns for me.
Birtles and Woodcock up front with Super Trev and Robbo.
Unstoppable.
5.) 03 Mar 2026 20:54:16
Need a good striker in there - Collymore.
6.) 03 Mar 2026 21:36:57
Ok Stevie, How about a 433?

MGW, HO, Awonyi.
Manager Brian Clough.
A brilliant manager and a couple of warriors would turn bottlers into winners ......
9.) 03 Mar 2026 22:53:06
Trevor was a better striker than Collymore. Compare their careers, actually there is no comparison.
03 Mar 2026 13:28:36
Surely a start for Tiawo on Wednesday is a must. Let's face it, this man might have thought he would die after his injury. He is the player that saved us from relegation in our first year in the premiership. He came on with < 10 mins to go and a great goal scoring opportunity. I think Jesus might have had
one slight chance in the previous 80 mins.
The goal Tiawo scored against Brentford must vie for gold of the season. I cannot understand why SD didn't pick him but surely this is his chance to save his again. Incidentally I would play McAtee in MGWs position positioning MGW as a forward along side Tiawo. Let's go out with gun blazing as to sit back will be lambs to the slaughter.
1.) 03 Mar 2026 15:00:49
Taiwo has to start against Man City, but we must put someone big against Haaland if he plays. MGW has been playing higher up the pitch, but yes, up close to Taiwo and play as a two.
I also think we need to stop playing out from the back, it looked awful against Brighton.
COYR.
2.) 03 Mar 2026 15:38:54
Taiwo in as well. The £180m bomb squad. Edu can't sit and watch as we have 3% possession and no shot on goal.
Edu out now, and take VP and his back room staff too. Andy Reid in until the end of the season, and start playing some of the kids.
This season has been a joke, and, as I feel right now, I won't be renewing my season ticket - that's the first time in nearly 40 years. I just feel sad and depressed.
3.) 03 Mar 2026 16:09:02
Andy Reid n the kids?? What kids, we ain't got any of Premier standards or they'd be in the squad already... Look at the stick Abbott took v Leeds.
Wait till the renewal prices come out. I'm guessing another increase. 1st season in prem cost me £60 for the kids, now it's £295. Wish my wages rose that steeply.
4.) 03 Mar 2026 16:52:48
Zyan Blake and Jimmy Sinclair are two players who could do with a step up to the seniors. Especially Blake - a tricky winger who isn't afraid to take on a defender. But I agree on the ticket prices. I followed home and away until Christmas this year, but I'm sick to death of seeing overpaid players not putting a shift in.
5.) 03 Mar 2026 18:19:44
Totally agree with Blake, what harm can I do. People have said he's too young for the prem, but just look at Rooney, 16, when he got his first team debut, and that didn't work out too bad did it. We can't carry on the way we're going.
01 Mar 2026 16:12:51
Very sadly the morale and ability of this Forest team has gone down the pan. I am sorry to repeat myself but 4 managers in a season was one too many. There are some on this site who berated SD but he spoke his mind and would have kept us up I have and never had a doubt he would do that.
There were moans from the players and grumbling from supporters and I hope they like who we have now instead. A big IF we survive it will be because of even bigger errors by the management and teams at Spurs and West Ham.
A mention today for MGW as my MoM today.
1.) 01 Mar 2026 16:43:01
Nuno, bit rich coming from you. Nuno spoke his mind, and you berated him. If he had been backed at the start of the season, we wouldn't be anywhere near this position. Simples.
2.) 01 Mar 2026 17:03:31
Stellaboy, just one bad decision this season would have been difficult to rectify. Our owner and his employees have made far more than that. I believe it will result in exactly what we deserve, but obviously praying (I'm not religious, though) that it doesn't.
3.) 01 Mar 2026 18:43:17
Baldy, I'm probably as pissed off as everyone else. I was so looking forward to this season, like every other Forest fan that's been waiting decades to be where we were at the end of last season. And one bad decision after another. But surely Big M knows by now that Edu should be fired.
19 Oct 2025 14:26:00
My belief is the next manager will be Da Silva. What is 8 million compensation to Fulham as far as Forest’s fortunes are concerned. We won’t need to worry re worsening our financial viability, as Nuno got a quick job it saved us a few million at least.
05 Mar 2026 11:52:15
Stokey, the two goals vie with Tiawo's for goal of the season. MGW has been criticised for his 'tricks', but what a clever goal. Anderson, with a shot on target!
What worries me is that our defence is not happy with playing out from the back. City realised this and pressed high. We were lucky, I felt, that Haaland was not on top of his game. He, I felt, should have had a penalty when Sels brought him down; he was wrestled to the ground on another occasion.
They intercepted our playing-at-the-back ball and should have made more of it. Somehow, Semenyo was in acres of space when he attempted to score or scored. Surely we aren't playing zonal marking?
The referee was really quite kind to us. The books will tell us Fulham should be beaten; however, we all support this team that blows hot and cold, that does nothing for our respective blood pressures!
04 Mar 2026 18:47:59
I freely admit Sean Dyche was the man to keep us up, and I was pleased with his appointment. A change of manager does nothing for team morale, especially x 4. This is a factor in how the players approach a game. Tonight is a shop window, and we will see some sterling - pun intended - performances tonight by certain players. VP may or may not be a good manager, but he is who we have got, so support. However, to revert to playing out from the back, just as Sean Dyche had stopped it, is confusing for the players, and Williams' errors at the weekend exemplified that.
How many times has Jesus been up front in the League and not scored? This is Manchester City! Do they have a poor defence - I don’t think so. Surely this was an opportunity to start Tiawo; he can’t do any worse. VP has picked a back 5. Sangare didn’t play his normal standard at the weekend, so for me a doubt too. No wingers, just wing backs. So, in conclusion, either playing for a draw or keeping the score down.

Interestingly, Traore is now at West Ham. As a recall, this is the player Nuno wanted. He is not injured, but has only started one FA Cup game. He has not started a Premier League match. So, what was the fuss about.

Agree, RF. VP does not impress re past results and demeanor. SD was a different character altogether. We have changed yet again to a high press and to playing out from the back.
SD cleared the ball from the danger area. Now we see near suicidal passes around the penalty box. The players got us into this mess, and will get us out of it, despite VP.
