When is MrM going to release that the city and Rushcliffe councils are using him as a cash cow, he’s already agreed to pay the thick end of five million pounds towards so called infrastructure around the ground. Now I understand that they want him to pay for a new foot bridge (they want it to be wide enough for cyclists as well) to take pressure off Trent Bridge. Well the the the one that’s just opened cost 19 million pounds.
I’ve used it once to get to the ground and as I walked in front of the apartments to the bridge I was verbally abused by locals in the flats telling me that I should use Ladybay bridge. Then navigating the bridge was not easy as you have dog walking and the usual Lycra bike brigade who care not for a 71 year old just going around his business. So Mr M tell our greedy councils to go and do ONE and save your money.

Wouldn't an actual cycling lane help pedestrians by making it possible for cyclists to not have to use the same path as dog walkers?
I love pointless haters. Car drivers are literally killing my child with pollution, but keep hating people who do something about it.

Cyclist, news flash: you aren't going to uninvent the car, and a couple of cycle lanes aren't going to reduce pollution. Nottingham Forest bring millions of pounds into the local economy every year, and the council should be working with us, not against us.

It is public stokey, and cyclist don’t cyclists have to give way to pedestrians? A new bridge would cost in excess of 30mil by the time it was completed, why not re develop the suspension bridge from the meadows to bridgeford lot cheaper and quicker. But then they are banning parking for a 2 kilometre radius.

It's unusual to have cyclists and pedestrians sharing the same footpath, Vale. I saw some awful disasters in Amsterdam every day, mate, where this is allowed.
Is the suspension bridge that comes out from near the Victoria Monument to near County Hall? That would be ideal if demarcated, just a simple line down the middle.
There is an offence of reckless/careless cycling, but it's rare for the police to enforce it. Cyclists are not obliged to exchange names and addresses and, of course, don't need to be insured.

Private electric scooters are illegal and you need a provisional to ride the council ones. The police have done nothing about them. Either blame the government for not giving the police the resources to sort it out. Same with ebikes capable of going 60mph on the pavement.
The policing is non-existent.
It's idiots that are the problem. There are idiot car drivers, idiot cyclists, and idiot pedestrians. No point blaming all car drivers for it, or all cyclists/pedestrians. We all have to live side by side with complete morons, unfortunately.

Once again you right stokey, problem is that there are no markings on the new bridge and it’s not all that wide. And on the point of the public foot path it was designed to enable people (walkers and cyclists) to go from Nottingham to Newark along the river except the councils forgot about a company in Colwick that backs onto the river and they have erected steel barriers either end of their property.

Looking forward for today, most of my friends think it’s going to be a push over for us. I’m not so sure about that, Leeds are no mugs and will stretch us today, I think we’ll win, but we have to be on them from the off and not let them get settled.

Good point carlo, palace will be up for it next week then arsenal and the cheats in quick succession. If we don't get anything from those games I think MR M should swallow his pride and try and get VP back, I just don't think the team have bought into Glasner and his system.

UAE are now threatening economic sanctions against the uk should city be punished. With our pathetic PM they will get off without any consequences. The rest of the premier league teams should refuse to play them. After all what's the point when you know they're going to carry on cheating. I find it hard to stomach.

Just seen Rushcliffe council's vision of the new bridge, it's gone from a foot bridge to one with a tram line and a station on the other side of it. I think they're talking the p. ss and trying to either make Forest pay up or block the planning consent. And that's from one of the richest councils in England.
Mr M should re think and call their bluff and look elsewhere for a stadium. Would be cheaper in the long term. A bridge like that would be around 100mil add that to the re vamp and all the other concessions Forest are making it would take the bill over a Billion.
