Apparently we are close to signing a right back from Sevilla.
1.) 20 Aug 2025 13:20:47
If Carmona comes from Seville it will knock on the head any deal for Matty Cash!.
2.) 20 Aug 2025 14:01:06
Fabrizio Romano:
?? EXCLUSIVE: Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks for José Angel Carmona from Sevilla.
Spanish right back new target for #NFFC with talks now underway.
3.) 21 Aug 2025 09:01:02
This deal makes more sense with what our recruitment team are looking for. As much as I would like to see matt cash back in a forest shirt, can't see villa letting him go at present, konsa is a better cb than rb and garcii injured. Also cash has regular spot and would be competing against aina who on his day is best rb in the league. So if we get the young Spanish rb he could cover aina and if get tsmikis on loan from Liverpool we have a really strong squad.
4.) 21 Aug 2025 11:29:31
We definitely need a FB at Matty Cash's level. He'd be Prem ready. The fact that he counts as a home-grown academy player (I think) is the big bonus, as he would be an extra player and we won't have to leave anyone else out of the squad.
However, the Carmona guy is probably European match ready, so still fits with what we need but may not adjust to the Prem as quickly.
We are now reaching the point where tough choices need to be made about who makes the squad.
5.) 22 Aug 2025 13:41:03
Friday’s edition of Diario de Sevilla reports the 23-year-old is ‘very reluctant’ to join the Reds as his desire is to continue and succeed with the Andalusian club.
‘Is it ruled out? 100% not, but it’s complicated, ’ a source close to him told Diario de Sevilla.

Just a thought.
Baring in mind our need for wing backs. How high would you go to get Djed Soence back?
You know, it would make a lot of sense. As he has proven recently he can play both sides.
Plus, I like the cut of hus gib. Thomas Partey et al.
1.) 26 Jul 2026 08:18:10
Spurs aren't going to do any deals with Forest unless it's on their terms and at over inflated prices. Spence is good, but he would cost too much, and I doubt he'll move off the M25.
2.) 26 Jul 2026 09:25:55
Spence is a great player if hes in the mood to play. But he seems the sort of bloke, which hes proved in the past not so much at Forest. That, if things don't go his way, he downs tools.
I just wouldn't want a rotten egg spoiling the team. But at his best, and if you could get him playing week in week out, as hes done over last 6 months, he would be a good buy.
3.) 26 Jul 2026 10:12:58
We don't want Spence, he's injury prone & doesn't heal well. He's had a bandage on his wrist for 8 years.
4.) 26 Jul 2026 11:26:17
Surprised you haven't got a bandage on your wrist, Larry. ?? ?
Spence is a great player who's had a good World Cup, and suits OGs offensive wingback set-up, but would he be happy having to compete for a starting place against Aina and Neco?
He'd be expensive and I can't see Spurs wanting to sell him.
5.) 26 Jul 2026 12:43:28
Hey stokie you must of had a bandage wrapped around your eyes when you've supposedly seen Dyche manage a football team and then say he's a great manager. ????.
6.) 26 Jul 2026 13:22:30
Sorry Skeggs, read your last post and slipped into a coma. ???
7.) 26 Jul 2026 13:56:17
That's probably just your age, Stokie. ????
8.) 26 Jul 2026 15:33:03
Yes, but despite my age, I don't "forget" to produce a so called written statement, do I, Skeggs? ???????
9.) 26 Jul 2026 15:44:32
I hope you're OK, Stokie. It really does sound like an age thing. Have you forgotten you're retired from your job, pal. ????
10.) 26 Jul 2026 17:12:35
Skeggs, lie down on your recliner and relax. ….. Focus on a can of Stella. ….. Breathe deeply. …… You are slipping away. ….. Now, tell me, is this written statement there in the room with you? …. ??? ? ?
11.) 26 Jul 2026 18:18:18
You just talking to people makes them slip away, Stokie. You remind me of a bloke I know that used to come into my club. He was a history teacher. He would go on and on, and when people came into the club they would try their hardest to give him a wide berth, because they just didn't want to get bored to death by listening to him.
???
12.) 26 Jul 2026 19:42:34
Must admit, most pubs have one, Skeggs.
Quick, lads, drink up.
Can I tell you a story?
Have you heard this joke?
No and yes.
Bye. ??
13.) 26 Jul 2026 19:31:33
I would never go into a club that would have me as a member Skeggs
Are you sure it wasn't you they were trying to avoid mate? Perhaps they hired the history teacher to keep you company?
Anyway, got to go, there's some paint drying I want to watch instead of reading your posts.??????
14.) 26 Jul 2026 20:19:22
You did say you had better things to do a few weeks back, Stokey. Didn't realise you had such a great hobby, like watching paint dry, although it doesn't surprise me, tbh. ?
15.) 26 Jul 2026 21:12:09
Night night, Stokie, don't let the bed bugs bite. ?
16.) 26 Jul 2026 21:23:02
Nice comeback, Skeggs. I'm glad to see the art of ready wit and repartee is thriving (except on the East Coast, it seems).
Night night. ??????
17.) 26 Jul 2026 21:30:13
Nite, Victor, get them pjs on and bedside light and enjoy reading.
18.) 26 Jul 2026 20:15:26
My problem was dtp it was before lockdown and he had his own stool at the bar and every dinner time he would sit there and talk and talk i had to spend half hour of my shift in the cellar pretending to do stuff just to go down there and scream and get a breather. ??
then God heard me he put us into lock down and they wasn't allowed to sit at bar and talk. when it started to open up we had an open fire, we chucked logs on.
that was my chance, his stool I saw it up into little pieces and smiled and danced as I put it into the open fire. and to top it off he had to wear a mask so you couldn't hear him talk, just a mumble. best time I ever had behind that bar. ???
19.) 26 Jul 2026 21:54:26
Brill, Skeggs. ?
I'd of done something very similar, just took one leg off it. ?
20.) 26 Jul 2026 22:08:35
Oh, I did dtp, it's my trophy. It's in the draw of my garage. ??
21.) 26 Jul 2026 22:15:03
Love it. ??
22.) 26 Jul 2026 22:17:23
I reckon stokey has a thing about librians
He's proving he can't keep quiet ?
23.) 27 Jul 2026 09:59:39
Honestly, you two clowns are comedy gold. ??First of all, DTP, "Librians". What have star signs got to do with anything? ?
Secondly, having compared me to your boring history man Skeggs, rather than likewise avoiding me, you then can't resist posting about me long after I'd retired for the night ( after watching Johnny Supreme, a good film but a bit frenetic with a few drinks with my lovely wife).
I haven't forgotten that you two used my name in vain 9 times over the the course of the France Spain game whilst I was watching it, minding my own business and oblivious to you both.
You two desperate saddos remind me of those clockwork toys that you wind up and leave to waddle around for the amusement of children. Please ignore me and get a life.
But don't make dull and dim posts and expect me not to comment on them, which I believe is what this site is about? If you don't like what I post just scroll past and save yourself the trouble. Simples ???
24.) 27 Jul 2026 18:44:29
We get your attention everytime though, Stokey.
Have you not realised. ?
Come on, is the third wife a Librian?
Or have you joined the carry on team with carry on reading. ??
25.) 27 Jul 2026 19:06:05
I honestly haven't got a clue what you're going on about, mate, but whatever floats your boat. ?
07 Jul 2026 21:40:57
Just a thought.
Last time the World Cup was in the USA. Who knocked England out?
Norway.
In qualifying.
Lightning shouldn't strike twice.
More a positive Karma.
06 Jul 2026 19:15:54
Well that game last night will live in the memory a long time.
In Malaga at the moment. Staggered into bed about 6am. When I woke up I wasn't sure I had dreamt the game. Some big performances. Best game I can remember being invested in for a long time.
The locals are getting excited about tonight's game.
Should be a belter.
1.) 06 Jul 2026 20:39:53
67, It's a slow burner at best, mate.
Enjoy Malaga, great city.
2.) 06 Jul 2026 21:01:30
It is.
I'm in a bar 70/30 Spanish/Portuguese.
By their reactions and noise, you would think it was the game of the century.
Very passionate.
3.) 06 Jul 2026 21:29:17
It doesn't look like the game of the century to me, mate, but I played and coached in Spain for a few years and I know what they are like.
The atmosphere in that bar must be amazing. I'm jealous. Enjoy.
4.) 06 Jul 2026 21:48:53
Cheers, pal. I will do my best.
5.) 07 Jul 2026 12:43:53
If you're still in Malaga 67 and if you're able to get there, the Camino Del Rey is well worth a visit, though it could be a bit warm. ?
6.) 07 Jul 2026 16:15:07
Cheers, Oakham. Might well do.
02 Jul 2026 00:25:57
Ambitious upgrade?
Or unnecessary change?
Time will tell.
1.) 02 Jul 2026 08:06:49
I will say two things.
1) VP was apparently sacked by email (no phone call) at 11.58pm, 2 mins before his clause expired end June. There is so little class and gratitude in that, assuming those press reports are true, it doesn't even need further discussion. Zero class, none.
2) Glasner is unlikely to last. Putting aside, (somehow), our Chair's ridiculous track record of hiring and sackings, Glasner can speak up and will go public against Boards when he wants to. So that's not going to land well.
A lot of people talk about Mr M being some 'win at all costs' merchant who 'will do nothing until we get to the top table'. To be honest, we've been back 4 seasons and battled relegation 3 times. Sacked numerous staff, numerous managers and bought a load of poor players amongst some better players. Is there a 'plan' to be regularly challenging the top 8 beyond just saying this stuff and sacking and hiring? Changing the manager every time you prefer a new one, does not a strategy make.
2.) 02 Jul 2026 08:59:52
Brilliant post, Agen! Spot on. ??
3.) 02 Jul 2026 09:47:57
Yes, brilliant post, Agen.
4.) 02 Jul 2026 09:48:27
Well, Stokie, that's a turn around for the Peter Pan of banter, mate. Marinakas could do no wrong when I stated a few weeks ago he would ruin the club with his gung ho approach to football. Now, you're doubting his judgement.
Is this Sgt Stokie with 2 tier posting. ??
5.) 02 Jul 2026 11:51:47
You should read my posts properly before committing your erroneous thoughts to post, Larry. If you had, you would see that I've regularly lambasted our owner for many, many mistakes and criticised his ownership. I've never ever said he could do no wrong. You must be confusing me with someone else?
30 Jun 2026 00:31:33
Zee Germans lose a penalty shoot out.
Marvelous ?????.
1.) 30 Jun 2026 10:08:22
Couldn't be happier. But, the way it's panning out, we could quite easily be on our way back tomorrow.
2.) 30 Jun 2026 10:15:50
I think our opponents will set up like Guiana did, and try and do us on the break. Congo, I believe, will give us a game.
31 Jul 2025 20:58:49
I remember the home game Stokey.
First half he was best player on the pitch. Gave our left back a torrid time. Who on the day, if my memory serves me right, was Moreno.
Think he would be a useful addition.
29 Jul 2025 22:41:06
He made some key contributions last season, that gained us points.
26 Jul 2025 23:15:49
Well, well well. Wonders will never cease.
I wonder what changed his mind.
Whatever. Great news.
We can sell him gfr 100 mill, next year now?.
20 Jul 2025 00:55:02
Thing is. We have been caught with our pants down here.
Gut feeling. We may keep him till January, unless we get an adequate replacement.
Looking at the interview with Aina after today's game, it doesn't seem to have affected the team spirit, which is my big fear.
Still feeling optimistic about next year and the missus says if we get Roma or Bologna away she's coming with me, although not to the game.
Chin up.
10 Jul 2025 17:14:31
Apparentley he has a 60 million release clause.
08 Aug 2026 22:39:43
Bsered
Last year we didn't score a goal in pre season.
Then scored 3 in first half of first game v Brentford.
Using Boxing analogy. This is just sparring.
08 Aug 2026 22:06:17
Played well.
MGW hit the post. Should have had a penalty. Then, a few minutes later, they got a soft one.
Optimistic, especially if rumours are right about Diomande having a medical Monday.
08 Aug 2026 20:25:27
That was mainly the B team.
Saved our best 3 centre backs, plus Sels, Sangare, MGW, Williams, Aina etc for Barcelona half.
Schlager and Netz were the only two stand outs against Udinese.
Victor's a joker.
02 Aug 2026 14:28:15
Was against Middjytland in October.
Think he might have scored.
01 Aug 2026 23:27:55
He played there once against a very poor Malmo team.
I think he will be needed at centre back when available. We need to get that Diamonde deal done. I like Cunha, but the thought of Morato being a starter week in week out doesn't fill me with confidence.
