Just read that mcguane might be sold of to Oxford which if so is a bad decision he's a decent young lad who could do a job for us but probably not get a chance to go do so.

1.) 06 Apr 2021 10:40:39
He has been injured too much so i think it is the club wanting rid.

2.) 06 Apr 2021 12:25:34
He's been injured once, sadly it ended his season loan at Oxford. Hopefully this rumour is not true, as he is quality, better than some of the current squad.

3.) 06 Apr 2021 12:35:22
If you are injured and it finishes your term then you are out injured all of the while during the rest of the term, hence injured too much.

Ten small injuries, or one long term injury, it is too much.?

4.) 06 Apr 2021 12:49:32
He's not really been outstanding at Oxford Utd, which is what you would want if you were hoping for him to be Championship-ready for next season. He's had some decent games but hasn't always had the impact you would like to see. Personally, not sure if he's ready to be relied upon next season, maybe as a squad player but, he's certainly not the superstar that some fans hope he will be. Doesn't seem aggressive enough to stamp his control on games at Champ/ League One level. Hope I'm wrong though 'cus he's a nice 'baller.

5.) 06 Apr 2021 16:43:28
According to the Oxford boss McGuane has been key and they are not as consistent without him.

I reckon the key to whether McGuane will get a chance next season is partly with the future of other players. If we re-sign Garner and keep Artur then I think that McGuane will not get much football. If we move Artur on and can't get Garner then I'm fairly sure Hughton would want to take a look at him again pre-season and early season, before the loan/ transfer window closes.

6.) 06 Apr 2021 17:07:09
Problem is mcguane is 22 and not a kid.
Fornah has done far better on loan he's 21now and should be good enough next season.
I don't think there is any chance man utd will loan garner out to a championship club next season, they will either use him or loan him to a premier club for the next step of his development.

7.) 06 Apr 2021 17:29:04
79 why is it you are too old at 22 to be good enough in the future for the Championship but some players can carry on being quality players in the Championship in their 30's.?

8.) 06 Apr 2021 19:01:25
Imo at 21 or 22 they should already have forced thir way into the first team squad half their career will be gone if we don't think they are ready till they are 25.

9.) 06 Apr 2021 19:21:19
I agree with Ff79 that Fornah has been more impressive over at Plymouth. Again I think consistency has been an issue but a very similar player playing at least just as well in the same division.

Hopefully we'll see Brennan Johnson, Jordan Gabriel and one of Fornah or McGuane given plenty of opportunities next season.

25 Aug 2020 21:43:21
Sorry guys but why are we signing players that are at the wrong end their career, we all read about the club saying what a dood bunch of young talented lads we have so my philosophy is if they are that good build for the future all be it if we don't go up this season.

1.) 26 Aug 2020 22:55:24
Greenock ffffffing Morton! Why are these scouts, how can this guy be off championship qualify?

2.) 27 Aug 2020 11:13:20
Played for Malmo.

3.) 27 Aug 2020 11:31:25
Maybe let's see him play first.

Welcome to the Mighty Reds Bachirou:) .

4.) 27 Aug 2020 14:13:12
Not all players have played for high profile clubs, so what he’s played for Greenock Morton. He’s got champions league and Europa league experience, let’s give him a chance.

5.) 27 Aug 2020 21:34:49
Cant wait for your comment when you see him.
Thats if you see him i'd say he's back up to colback, sow and yeats.
Hes not going to be a regular with those in front of him.
Just saying.

6.) 27 Aug 2020 23:33:42
Yawn, and who is Yeats exactly, a new Irish poetical midfielder we have signed?

7.) 28 Aug 2020 08:05:46
Don’t think this signing was expected to be exciting, and as I said on here before I’m not, but give the bloke a chance, he may have played for Morton, but he’s also had champions league experience on the flip side.

16 Aug 2020 13:32:33
Read that huddersfield might want Tyler walker would be a good move as he's never going to get a chance at forest shame really.

1.) 16 Aug 2020 14:40:50
Are you sure you don't mean Hull? Linked with them on a permanent deal, not championship standard so can't see Huddersfield buying him.

2.) 16 Aug 2020 18:32:10
If walker leaves it needs to be permanent price tag should be 2m. Scored plenty goals in league 1 before we ended his loan spell.

3.) 17 Aug 2020 09:05:35
I was hoping he would have been given a chance but hope he gets a chance to prove what he can do.

25 Jun 2019 06:47:28
Hi guys not feeling the love at the minute I really thought forest would push for a top six finish this season but after looking at the signing of Sammy can't hit a barn door I really don't see any ambition, don't know if it's down to O'Neil having his hand tied to what he can bring in or he just hasn't a clue not sure, more speculation over Joe's future at the club if he does leave then I thing we will be looking at a relegation battle I know one player don't make a team but in his case he does .

1.) 26 Jun 2019 15:46:20
Hi Dan,

Whilst Ameobi's scoring record over the past few years (notably in a struggling Bolton team of which for the last year he was rarely paid on time) isn't amazing, it's not awful either
4 goals and 3 assists compared to Matty Cash's 6 goals and 2 assists isn't drastically different especially considering we finished 14 places above Bolton.
Regarding ambition, It's June 26th, I'm pretty sure Sammy Ameobi will not be our only signing this summer, and if he is, you have my full permission to call me out and humiliate me as you like.
As a free transfer on a 1 year deal, its a win win. If he is awful, he leaves. If he is ambitious and plays for a contract, we win.
If he is a starter week in week out, I'll be surprised, and if he ends up being a replacement for Lolley I will be devastated.
Instead I think he'll bring good squad balance on the wings with pace and power something we've been distinctly lacking since Antonio to be honest.
If he is one of 5 or 6 other signings, it will look like a great early free deal and boosts squad depth and options.

Feel the love, be optimistic. Let's not even mention relegation battles until it's (hopefully not) a thing.
Get behind the management whether you like him or not, the board and most importantly what ever player pulls on the Garibaldi

13 Apr 2019 18:52:11
Hi to be honest, I really don't know why we have such a under performing team. on paper our players look more than enough to cope with most of the teams in this league yet again they just don't play.

I know it's a managers job to get his teams motivated and all that but the players must also take a long hard look at themselves for the crap they produce they let everyone down including themselves I do feel for the fans that come here I feel for those of us on rubbish wages that still pay tickets so can somone please wave a magic wand get us playing again. coyr.

1.) 13 Apr 2019 19:05:54
On the flip side look at it from a players point new managers all the time a different team mate next to them every game, in and out the side themselves constantly there is no continuity anywhere must make things very hard and demoralising take Milosevic did nothing wrong and seems to be now in the abyss

Hi guys but a quick need to moan I'm so sick of reading about who forests potential signings are and maybe close to getting I'd wish the local rags would just keep quiet untill forest have actually got a player signed.

1.) 10 Jul 2021 10:35:13
There would be nothing to read apart from the new Chief Exec will be officially appointed next week, and we have a flash new kit!

The new Chief Exec has already started, as I posted. So we beat them to that scoop on here. We only have to get the Forest fan email to know about the new kit. So where is the journalism?

2.) 10 Jul 2021 16:46:52
I must be in the minority but I love the gossip - when there’s potential for a good signing. I start thinking how they will fit in the team. Fingers crossed we can get some of the recent links over the line re Clarke, Fleming and Zinkernagel.

07 Mar 2021 18:14:27
Nice to Brennan scoring again but does that mean he'll get a chance at forest as we had another young striker banging goals for fun at Mansfield and got a few for Lincoln look what happened there never got a fare crack gets sold on the cheap and looks like now over a injury might do alright at his new club, the other thing is wouldn't it be better to use the young lads now and give dad's army a rest or at least get their Zimmer frames oiled.

1.) 07 Mar 2021 19:34:35
No doubt he will be sold.
Too young to play football for Forest.
NFFC is a Retreat for players who are in their twilight year's for alleged Pro footballers.

2.) 08 Mar 2021 14:05:55
The one that your on about, think he went to Coventry, how many goals as he scored this season, the one that went to Blackburn how many as he scored this season, about as many as our top scorer. I bet you think they would score loads of goals for us at the moment though with our set up, but they are younger.

20 Feb 2021 14:37:45
Tyler scores 2 now fit questions should be asked why get rid of him.

1.) 20 Feb 2021 14:46:22
we got rid of him because he was never good enough. he may have got 2 goals today but i don't think he will ever be prolific at this level and especially the way we play. good luck to the lad though.

2.) 20 Feb 2021 15:04:09
Because he was never given a chance to prove whether he was good enough like so many. We are much happier paying old journeyman a fortune rather than investing time in youth. Shameful.

18 Feb 2021 08:36:52
Hi couldn't watch or even listen to the match last night been reading various things saying we were worth 3 points just how clear cut was grabbans chance's.

08 Feb 2021 04:26:12
To be honest guys I was a little doubtful of Murray's signing as to his age but he appeared to be lot more mobile than grabban just hope we can keep him fit.

1.) 08 Feb 2021 10:21:47
He's cleverer than Grabban. Doesn't just go bundling in to every defender he comes up against.

2.) 08 Feb 2021 10:57:27
Well not long been up after watching the superbowl. Chiefs terrible. Sure jonny may waa playing for them 😂 i think your right with them players 2star.

3.) 08 Feb 2021 13:22:32
And stronger too. 💪.

4.) 08 Feb 2021 15:15:17
ok lads let's not get carried away, saturday was a must win game and we got 3 points. next saturday will be totally different the cherries are well set up, so let's save the back slapping till after that game. don't get me wrong i'm desperate for the lads to win and move up the table. its not hughtons fault were where we are its the incompitent ones in the back ground .

Wouldn't it be nice to hear we are looking at strikers who actually know how to score goals some of the ones we have looked at have a worse goals to games records than defenders.

No matter what striker comes in I'd put him ahead of Taylor and grabban it's not like they could complain after the season they've had.

We should have given walker more time just my opinion he's still scored more than our forwards even though injured for a chunk of the season but his problem was playing in a sh#t team and all the expectation was on him to save us poor lad, read as well that landsbury has been let go by Bristol fans said he was pants I tend to agree with them he had the odd good game when here another player who thought he was better than he was again just my opinion.

Brennans done well at Lincoln we've had other young players that have done well at Lincoln and come back to forest and never really given a fare crack at the whip my concern is same that happened with walker he'll come into a struggling forest team and will end up being moved on.

If we are getting him who are they going to take off us look at last time they got Silva we ended up with I'd love to say the brilliant cafu but I don't have that good of sense of humour.

In my opinion it's obscene the amount footballers get in 2 weeks he'll earn more than some have to work a lifetime for and for what kicking a ball not like some that have to graft for a living.

If he was to put his boots on I'd fancy him to score more than grabone.

Think it's time for grealish to come on, so far Scotland looking far more dangerous than England one question as Harry Kane not getting any kind of service in some respects it's like watching forest to many back passes no service for the foward.

I'm probably going to get salted for this but what's wrong with 442 its old school if you have the right players then you'd beat most teams.
