Linked with Joe Piggot looks like a target man. He is needed.

1.) 30 Jan 2021 13:38:04
I saw Piggot play for Maidstone Utd in non league football, and at best he was average. He must have improved a lot at Wimbledon.

2.) 30 Jan 2021 14:29:29
Was he a target man burn cross? Sometimes you just need a lump to ruffle some feathers.

Sabri Lamouchi has reportedly been the subject of an approach from Qatari side Al-Duhail SC.

1.) 02 Oct 2020 22:54:32
He might need another job by Monday!

2.) 03 Oct 2020 10:03:35
It won’t happen Forest never been that lucky .

3.) 03 Oct 2020 10:04:16
Yes Daz I believe you're right. If we lose again today Lamouchi will be gone. That gives the the Greek guy a fortnight to find another 'sacrificial lamb' unless he already has another foreign manager with no Championship experience lined up.

Carvalho linked with Almeria - same place we sold appiah to for 8 million.

1.) 29 Sep 2020 22:37:53
Yep, all confirmed on a loan deal by the look of it. Should save something on the wage bill.

2.) 30 Sep 2020 07:11:06
I think the club will pay his wages. Also I suggest there will be no loan fee. Cavalho is a client of Mendes, who has an interest in Almeria. So apart from getting Cavalho out of the squad, I do not think the club will benefit.

3.) 30 Sep 2020 08:38:09
Burncross, why do you think we would not be getting any money for loaning a player? Would be surprised we would be getting nowt.

Have we ever had a player come in on loan for free? I don't actually know.

4.) 30 Sep 2020 08:56:44
Burncross - big benefit is that SL won’t be able to pick him 🤣.

5.) 30 Sep 2020 11:16:43
Can Almeria afford to pay anything.

6.) 30 Sep 2020 14:10:02
Almeria are owned by a Saudi billionnaire and stumped up the £8m for Appiah. I'd imagine they're not short of a few bob.

7.) 30 Sep 2020 15:38:52
Perhaps then as the owner is so rich he might take some more players of our hands, especially if Mendes gets involved.

27 Aug 2020 12:29:10
Luke Freeman having his medical our midfield will be so much stronger than last season.

1.) 27 Aug 2020 14:42:32
Samba
Cash Figs Worrell Ribeiro
Colback Bachirou
Murphy. Freeman. Lolley
Grabbon
Subs
Taylor
Ameobi
Tavernas
Blacket.

2.) 27 Aug 2020 15:58:00
Red red. That looks like a promotion challenging team to me! COYR.

30 Jul 2020 20:23:44
I recommend all reds to read the athletics article. I'll summarise for the tight reds:

There will be big changes to playing staff not coaching.

Question some players mentality.

January transfer was a disaster and the club know it. Our main targets were Gayle, Grosicki and Freeman.

QPR interested in Ben Watson offering him 2 year contract.

Qatar club interested in Grabban.

The manager at olympiakos messed up but they gave him a second opportunity and he won the league. They're giving Lamouchi a similar opportunity.

We may sell a big player (Not really an exclusive) .

They will tweak the recruitment.

1.) 30 Jul 2020 21:28:44
But will they have to sell a big player to be able to reinforce the squad? We have flogged off forwards in the past who would have provided the extra needed to at least reach play offs. Bamford, Burke and even Appiah come to mind.

2.) 31 Jul 2020 01:54:06
It’s all well an good saying stuff but I will wait until it happens.

3.) 31 Jul 2020 09:37:42
Just more of the same, meaningless.

4.) 31 Jul 2020 10:00:01
Gayle was not and is not the answer, unless we change formation with two up top. The teams that reach the auto spots generally play two strikers and take the game to the opposition. They generally have a couple of decent wiley old pros to bring off the bench, austin etc at westbrom. You only have to look at the type of players at these clubs to realise why we got found out.
Lamouchi may stay but unless the dof and a the majority of players are changed then nothing will be any different and getting things to jell in a short period and push for promotion will be very hard with the upheaval promised.

Dear Forest fans

There will be many chances for us to speak in the future but the most important thing I want to say today to you, the Forest fans, is that my work starts straight away. I was delighted that my staff and I could get a full session today with the first team squad that gives us an excellent platform to build towards Saturday's game against Millwall.

This is a squad with lots of potential. Results have not been as you would have wished in recent weeks and we understand that we have to win the faith of our supporters.

Nevertheless, I can see from my first session that this is a strong squad of players who want to do well. I hope that very soon we will be delivering performances and results of which you can be proud.

My approach to management throughout my time coaching in the junior and senior game has been to play attacking, creative football. That will not change. From speaking to those who love Forest and hold dear its traditions and history, I recognise that this is a club that demands a style and a verve in keeping with its greatest days under its greatest manager. I hardly need to tell you that this club have been out of English football's top-flight for far too long.

I would like to thank Mr Mariankis and Dane Murphy, the chief executive, for their support and sharing their vision for the club. I would also add that I am committed to working with the academy too, where the staff have worked so hard to reach Category One status. It means so much to this club to keep busy that pathway from the academy to the senior team and develop first team players who have been brought up in Forest's best traditions. I believe my track record in working with young, talented homegrown players speaks for itself.

I hope to meet as many supporters as I can over the next few weeks. In the meantime, I would ask that you all get behind the team at The City Ground on Saturday. We have so much to look forward to, and it is a great honour to be leading Forest into what I believe is a very bright future.

Steve

Managers statement.

Class, cheers for that redtree mate. Future looks bright 👌👍👍👍👍👊👊👊👊🤝🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃.

2.) 21 Sep 2021 21:24:57

Keep the Faith.

3.) 21 Sep 2021 21:25:26
Fingers crossed this is the upturn bowiered 🤞🏻🍻.

4.) 21 Sep 2021 22:16:11
Im with ya Redtree in fact we all are 👊.

5.) 21 Sep 2021 23:29:04
Great statement from our new manager. 👏. Bravo. The more i analyse what is happening, the more i like it. Cooper looks like he is buying into the “Forest way” with attacking football, this will be a breath of air. He and Murphy have a plan and I’m liking what i hear. This won’t be an overnight fix though, so we have to be a bit patient and let this plan evolve. Come On Forest.

18 Sep 2021 21:50:29
Hope we retain Steven Reid seems a good character.

11 Aug 2021 20:42:35
Well well well. the cream rises to the top.

08 Aug 2021 18:42:35
I have a genuine concern we will get relegated this season.

1.) 08 Aug 2021 19:11:09
Yep big trouble based on that. I mean Yates getting selected and made captain scared the crap out of me even before kick off.

08 Aug 2021 09:12:08
Time to start the promotion campaign.

1.) 08 Aug 2021 10:13:27
What’ would like to promote pal? Let me know and I’ll help you.

2.) 08 Aug 2021 11:46:26

3.) 08 Aug 2021 11:54:40
It’s probably more hope!

4.) 08 Aug 2021 12:51:48
How about promoting some support and optimism for our team? No? Alright then.

5.) 08 Aug 2021 15:14:40
Agreed SSWE! We are supporters by definition, after all.

Everyone we have been linked with recently has actually been progressive so I’m not sure what to think.

Stevie Mel Morris probably doesn’t care he is leaving anyway and won’t put any money in. It may be taken out of their hands if they go into admin.

I am no fan of Yates but he was really effective today. Play him in that role and he’s useful. Don’t have him as the deep playmaker. Use him to put pressure on the opposition.
