Second bid gone in for buchanan, sheep won't sell to us at any price what part of that don't the people running the club understand?

It’s funny seeing the sheep sweat though. They will sell at some point they’re in massive trouble.

Ff79 I agree mate, I don’t know why this is being given so much time, sheep wouldn’t sell to us, they would never be able to square it with their fans,

They don't have to square it with their fans. They need the money and would be foolish to not sell to us for a price that's more than they would sell to another club. That would be short changing themselves, why would their fans want that?

Ummm what’s the odds on another club will step in and sign him.

Tricky tree of course the fans opinion matters, I would like to bet Morris wouldn’t sell to us at any price, As 2tone said someone else will almost certainly buy him, if he’s so good, a prem club would probably buy him, and loan him back to the sheep.

Tricky tree try asking a derby fan if they would prefer 2,5mill from us, or 2mill from Celtic,

Do you remember when we under embargo, I seem to remember Mad Mel got lots of enjoyment from that, and was offering to buy, I think it was Britt. I did wonder if this was a bit of pay back? Even though they are desperate for money, they won't sell to us.

Murdoch, I think. They tried to unsettle Antonio.

He's been linked with Arsenal, West Ham and Celtic as well so I wouldn't get too excited about him coming to Forest.

Maybe the average fan might say that out of spite Stevie, but as a business it makes no sense to do yourself out of 500k.

Imagine selling your car to someone u disliked who offered you another 25% on top of what anyone else would. What would you do?

Fortunately, I don't think the fans have the final say on outgoings at Pride Park. If Forest offer the most money and agree terms with the player, he'll come to Forest. I don't expect that to happen though.

Trickytree mate of course it makes no sense, but this is football, sense doesn’t come into it, they will not sell to us, I will be stunned if they do,

Sswe I’m not saying fans have the final say, but Morris and the hierarchy will realize the ramifications, ( pardon the pun) and know they will get an almighty backlash if they sell to us, it will have a bearing on their decision, but like you, I don’t think this will happen.

Stevie Mel Morris probably doesn’t care he is leaving anyway and won’t put any money in. It may be taken out of their hands if they go into admin.

If their financial situation is as perilous as it appears to be then selling to an under bidder makes no sense and external pressure to achieve the best possible outcome will be prevalent. If Derby are asking for support from other quarters in order to avoid admin then that support may well be contingent upon maximising value from saleable assets. Yes, it will hurt them to sell a prize asset to us but if their situation is as bad as suggested then they may not have a choice if we are the highest bidder.
