Wolves to make Lamouchi their number one target to replace Nuno if he leaves them. Forest need to support him in Jan.

GazzaRed

1.) 01 Dec 2019 20:06:09
Wouldn't worry about wolves Watford are on the look out now best get him signed up.

2.) 01 Dec 2019 21:30:14
Agree skeggs but he needs to take advice from red fred or he won't be a top manager🤔🤔🤔.

3.) 01 Dec 2019 22:27:16
Lol 79 lamouchi needs advice off no one just time to do is job and a great one he's doing so far.

29 Jul 2019 09:55:41
Do we need Ben Gibson or Scott McKenna? We already have 5 solid CBs at this level. Surely the money being touted for McKenna would be better spent on a striker and pacey winger.

GazzaRed

1.) 29 Jul 2019 11:26:46
In a word NO.
But our dof has got a thing about midfielders and defenders.
With Watson as the holding midfielder and relying on grabban as the only striker I'm afraid I fear for us this season.

2.) 29 Jul 2019 13:33:18
We need a left footed centreback. The system we have means our centre backs will be put under pressure. With a right footer on the left side it can cause mistakes. I also think 1 or 2 will be leaving.

3.) 29 Jul 2019 14:01:31
Our defence was woefully exposed in the second half by Real S. Couldn't get near the ball.
I think 2 or 3 of our center backs will be sold before the end of the window.

4.) 29 Jul 2019 14:02:35
Redtree we have one he's called Robinson.

5.) 29 Jul 2019 18:13:42
I think woefully exposed is a bit strong. I thought they did well against a very technical team.

26 Jul 2019 09:29:43
Forest accepted the Osborn deal after some of the add-ons in the initial offer were amended. Presumably Sheff Utd agreed to a higher sell on fee percentage.

GazzaRed

1.) 26 Jul 2019 09:51:41
Is that you LC?

2.) 26 Jul 2019 10:27:32
Why would that make the difference? Seems very strange. A higher bid being accepted would be understandable. Something else must have led to them accepting what is basically the same bid?!

3.) 26 Jul 2019 10:46:20
Of course add-ons make a difference.

May be that we get extra fees for the amount of games he plays next season, whether they stay up or not, or could just be an extra few percent on the sell-on fee.

Either way, it is an improved offer and not the same bid.

4.) 26 Jul 2019 11:08:48
"Not significantly raised their valuation of the player" so barely any improvement.

5.) 26 Jul 2019 11:33:05
A bit like Ben then TWF. Barely any improvement.

6.) 26 Jul 2019 12:25:23
Got mucked about by being played out of position at left back. Be interesting to see where Chris Wilder plays him. Or how Forest fare without him.

7.) 26 Jul 2019 13:10:01
Wilder likes players who are able to play in different positions. That's why he's signed Osborn.

8.) 26 Jul 2019 13:32:17
"more money up front and an improvement to potential future sell-on clauses"

So clearly an improvement.

9.) 26 Jul 2019 13:49:34
Judging by Wilders interview of Osborn, he will be used all over the pitch, very much like at forest.

10.) 26 Jul 2019 13:51:46
Undislosed amount on the Osborne sale so all the amounts being shouted about are pure speculation but if the local rag is to believed we turned down 3m but more likely to be arounf 3.5m to 4m but even they don't know definitely or ever will. But if that is correct then not a bad price for someone with 11 months left on his contract. Good luck to him for wanting to play in the Premiership.

11.) 26 Jul 2019 22:42:35
Company accounts will have to show it if it's of major interest, but the lad was going nowhere at forest and to be honest don't think he'll ever be a prem player.
Sheff utd are doing the right thing in getting proven championship players together for their season in the prem knowing full well if it ends in failure they have a squad capable of going straight back up.
Burnley did this and it brings stability to a club financially.

12.) 27 Jul 2019 15:11:26
Who cares? The money received is only as good as the new player coming in!

If it's Bostock then we will have a stronger line-up with him than lightweight Benny O.

People have very short memories. It was under the Breadman that our featherweight midfield of Osborn, Vaughan and McKay kept getting steamrollered.

These days you have be exceptionally gifted and quick of feet and mind to compete if you are small which is where Benny falls short!

13.) 27 Jul 2019 22:24:13
When was the last time you saw bostock play?
Your talking something similar 😁🤣🤣🤣.

23 Jul 2019 11:28:37
Shelf Utd have made an improved offer of 5m for Osborn. Surely now we sell. he's in the last year of his contract. A good lump of money to go towards a new striker.

GazzaRed

1.) 23 Jul 2019 11:34:17
£5million would be good business. I really can't see Osborn being anything more than a squad player if he stays put.

2.) 23 Jul 2019 11:54:39
If he goes, he gets my thanks for his efforts in the Garibaldi. Best wishes and hope we play the blunts in the PL next season. 👏.

3.) 23 Jul 2019 12:13:54
Best of luck to him, can’t deny him the chance to play in the PL and £5million is good business with only 12 months left on his contract. Just hope we spend it on another striker.

4.) 23 Jul 2019 13:08:10
Yes need a new striker even two. Sad to see a home grown player leave as we have so many times in the past!

5.) 23 Jul 2019 13:30:13
Taylor has just tweeted that the deal could be concluded within 24 hours.

01 Jul 2019 20:04:54
Colback had reportedly been released from his contract with Newcastle and Forest are set to sign him.

GazzaRed

1.) 01 Jul 2019 20:54:01
No he hasn't.

2.) 01 Jul 2019 20:56:55
I'd be happy with that.

3.) 01 Jul 2019 22:38:24
Has he or has he not? That is the question.

4.) 02 Jul 2019 23:33:59
Colback Boom oo Yata Ta Ta

"Will you meet us in August or will you be gone?
If not we will not love you the same from now on"

Look at me when I'm talking to you it's time to make up your mind!

So Forest are well within FFP rules for a rolling 3 year period. However, with the club running at a bigger loss than 3 years ago, once 2017 drops off and 2020 is taken in to account. You can expect them to fall out of the parameters. In summary, if we do not get to the Prem this season, some serious money will have to be raised through sales of players.

GazzaRed

1.) 05 Mar 2020 16:43:05
Actually gazza i was looking at the figures and thinking these from 2018 can only get worse in 2019. I also thought losses up by £20 mil. So a company looses say 200% over its previous year and decides to invest 100mil in a new stand with appartments etc. Assume that money will be borrowed and partly paid back by sales of flats. But that is about a 5 year turn around. The gates we get are 20 to 28k and i doubt we can attract the 38k needed. Ok if you reach the prem you can expect about £90mil so getting there sooner would be advisable lol. It just seems a strange and convoluted way of going about things. If it was me i would get the chicken before i start selling the eggs. A couple of stellar signings in Jan would have indicated that all aspects of the project were being taken care of. But we will see i am starting to believe we have a capable manager, just hope his calculator is up to speed!

2.) 05 Mar 2020 19:00:45
The 2020 accounts will have appiah and Osborn sales to go against the losses so we don't have to sell, be more a case of will players like cash, worrall want to leave anyway.

3.) 05 Mar 2020 21:10:48
Robbo, Osborn, Soudani, Chema, guedioura, ansarifard, and Appiah have hopefully generated around 15 million in sales . I guess depends on what we’ve actually spent on players as well. One big sale will sort it, if we have too the we have too. Hopefully not hopefully the outgoings will have covered the spend and left some over to cover the other losses.

I’d definitely be willing to lose millions a year owning forest if I had the millions - no question at all.

4.) 05 Mar 2020 21:26:16
Remember the wise words Alan sugar when asked how to become a millionaire. He said you need to be a billionaire then buy a football club😂😂.

5.) 05 Mar 2020 21:46:23
That's because your a fan 2 star, most that buy clubs aren't fans,
Millions ain't enough anymore just have to ask the last owner of notts county.
"Hows buisness? Thinking of getting a new car or moving to a bigger house?2😁😁.

6.) 06 Mar 2020 08:26:41
I think you be ok with nine hundred and ninety million and ninety nine pence! 😁.

03 Mar 2020 06:54:12
It was obvious our midfield was going to struggle last night. Starting Yates and Samedo was a mistake. Our results this season have depended on having two solid experienced midfielders on the pitch. The 11 players we ended the game with naturally had a lot more balance. Bostock playing it simple and Carvalho being able to use his talent. If Sow if still out on Friday, we need to start with the 11 we ended last night with (Ameobi back in for useless Diakaby of course) .

GazzaRed

1.) 03 Mar 2020 10:40:03
Agreed. Serious lack of creativity; with Silva missing it was surely an opportunity to play Carvalho? Semedo is not up to it, I have no idea what his attributes are - first touch and vision are poor. As ineffective as Carvalho has been he's still got way more to offer than Semedo. Bostock did well when he came on, I agree with you that he should be given a chance if Sow isn't for Friday.

27 Feb 2020 06:39:49
If Borro go down, and with Britt only coming off the bench nowadays, his asking price shouldn't be too big this summer. Might be worth getting him back to the CG if we don't go up.

GazzaRed

1.) 27 Feb 2020 10:51:09
Britts not the greatest fit for Lamouchi. He wouldn't be prepared to do half the running Grabbans done this season, plus he needs it on a plate, we're not creating anywhere near enough to service a poacher like Assombalonga.

2.) 27 Feb 2020 11:03:33
He is in and out at boro. Not the same plauer since hecwrecked his knee. Plus he chose boro so let him stay there.

3.) 27 Feb 2020 12:22:58
Hes on 40K so would have to take a wage cut, not shown the form at boro he did at forest.

4.) 27 Feb 2020 13:08:35
Not entirely correct regarding comparing his form.
Very similar goals per season at both clubs, almost identical in fact. Just taken slightly more games to get them for Boro.
His goals have dropped off this season due to injury and possibly playing in a very average Boro team.

5.) 27 Feb 2020 15:54:51
And don’t forget playing under a Pulis team that defends all the time. when Iv watched Britt he does more than enough running for a striker.

6.) 27 Feb 2020 16:32:18
No let's leave Britt alone not fit enough now .
Suggested earlier to look at Scott Quigly at Barrow ,will be the next big thing to come out of non league ,lots of attributes to his game .
CARLO

7.) 27 Feb 2020 18:40:39
I don't think britt would have missed half the sitters grabs as just lately.

8.) 28 Feb 2020 00:41:39
I would of had britt back six months ago but a friend of mine who is a Middlesbrough fan went on a behind scenes day and some funny things were said at the end of the night after a few beers
Best left alone.

25 Feb 2020 22:01:22
Lesson learnt Sabri, Samedo is better than Yates. Start him.

GazzaRed

1.) 25 Feb 2020 22:34:33
Agreed 👍🏻.

2.) 26 Feb 2020 06:54:14
Gazza very true mate.

25 Feb 2020 20:02:03
Watson and Grabbans legs have gone.

GazzaRed

1.) 25 Feb 2020 20:42:34
Watson finished at Championship level.

2.) 25 Feb 2020 22:10:45
Good to see you supporting the reds.

3.) 25 Feb 2020 22:11:11
Watson is class and holds the team together.
Never panics under pressure and often receives ball under pressure and gets the team out of trouble.

Reads the game so well.

4.) 25 Feb 2020 22:11:42
Yeah, they are absolutely carp eh, you boys talking some nonsense there I'm afraid:)

What a massive compliment for Matty and Forest that the top clubs in Europe are eyeing up our home grown talent. If they come in with an audacious offer around 15m, then Forest can't stand in his way. What an opportunity for him to play alongside the likes of Ibrahimovic. That said, I hope no offer does come in and he can help Forest get back to the promise land.

Jenkinson doesn't have the right attributes for Lamouchi's football. He isn't measured in his attacks and then gets caught out all the time at the back.

Surely it has to be Ameobi, Lolley and Carvalho behind Grabban. Carvalho turned the game. Also Bostock made a good account of himself. Diakaby is truly awful!

Absolute disbelief. Just shocking Forest. Diakamby and Bong can go back to their clubs. Walker can go back to non league where he belongs. Yates will never be more than a average league one player. Lamouchi, you cost us today!
