New manager?

Chris wilder
Steve Jones
John Terry
Some unknown Germans or Danish bloke?

Even with any of these I doubt much would change, the squad is just poor and thin. So the key focus has to be on recruitment for next two weeks and not a new a manager.

But CH has got to be on thin ice.

Hughton was in charge of Norwich for 82 games with a win rate of 29.3
He's been in charge of forest for 48 games with a win rate of 29.2.
Norwich fans hated his brand of football and so do I.
It's awful and based on keeping clean sheets while nicking one at the other end.
Boring and outdated.

Eddie Howe for me.

New manager now would make it even more difficult. Need better players.

Totally agree the focus needs to be on player recruitment for two weeks and if we fail to get in at least 6 first team standard players we will struggle and CH will be fired anyhow.

Eddie Howe would be a very good option but I just don't see him coming to sort this mess out.

Last summer was the disaster by firstly not firing SL at season end, then a disastrous recruitment spend followed up by the disappointing (as it turns out) appointment of CH. Thankfully a change at CEO level might help but can't help but feel this is over 1 year too late.

After over 40 years supporting the club I will stick with it but I have to say I have never felt so down about Forest and its prospects.

Well said southwandy. What difference would a new manager make. 4 years of awful recruitment and chaotic management from the top will take more than a manager merry go round to sort out. I keep saying hughton may not be the right manager for us but judging him without allowing him to get a better tougher type of player in is totally unfair. He has over seen some quality loan signings and needs like you say another 6 better than average championship players.

Yep let's stick with him and watch league one football next season.
They can build the new stand without inconveniencing the fans?

Totally agree Wandy.

@TWF

I agree mate. I've never felt so down about Forest. Even in League One I was more optimistic about the future than this. I just can't see anything getting better over the next couple of years.

Any new manager is going to face the same problems as CH i. e. rubbish players and no money to spend. Perhaps a new manager could do a little bit better than CH (perhaps mid-table), but unless he's a miracle-worker, the play-offs (or better) will be a distant dream.

Can anybody tell me what CH is bringing to the table right now? Would like to be educated but I’ve got nothing to support him.

Even though 14 players left the club this close season I still think there quite a few more that need to go on top of the three bomb squad rejects. And only then is the slate wiped clean for Hughton to mould his own squad.

There are still players that need to leave, what i do not understand with some people is every other manager had to put up with a big squad of players that were not theirs yet just about everyone of them had a better win ratio, so why should Hughton be given more patience to mold the team.

Uwe Rosler as new manager for me in the Jurgen Klopp mould high pressing attack minded and loves 4-3-3 was the founder of Brentfords style of play only 53 as well so not a fossil like CH.
