That Cunha from Wolves is bloody amazing. Credit to the lionesses tonight. Epic game here in Oz. Kerr should have maybe had 3?!

2 questions and please give opinions.

Why aren't we spending the €36 mil on Sangare? He is incredible and would add crazy depth to our backline. We could actually have a real rotation.

Also would we rather a DM or another quality striker. May I say Awonyi is the rubbish and I really think he is a handful and just happens to pop up in the right place at the right time. Some backup qpule be great.

Wood is a generous 6 at best.

SYDRED

{Ed002's Note - Sangare would have no interest in joining NF.}

1.) 16 Aug 2023 15:56:51
I'd imagine Sangare would only join Forest if other clubs chose not to sign him. He's been linked with Liverpool and Bayern Munich as well, so I'd imagine he'd prefer them over us.

Might have a chance if the big clubs choose other targets and it is quite hopeful if Forest are still pursuing this deal because you'd like to think they wouldn't pursue a player that had zero interest. I'm sure the club has spoken to some representatives at the very least.

Rangers also play PSV in the final Champions League Play-Off, so I'd imagine PSV want to keep him for that anyway. Forest probably know he won't be moving until towards the end of the window, hence the tentative initial bids.

Overall though, I'd say a deal is unlikely.

2.) 16 Aug 2023 20:31:28
We've just got to keep looking for diamonds like danillo and go the Brighton way in doing so.

3.) 17 Aug 2023 10:58:27
We have Aguilera coming through. Apparently they are keeping him at Forest for now. Cover for Danilo? Hope so. ?.

4.) 17 Aug 2023 17:57:06
He's also under 21 so doesn't count in the 25 which helps.

5.) 28 Aug 2023 23:39:49
Yeah I don't see the fuss about taiwo, on form, right place right time, a lot of luck, rarely strikes it cleanly, just a big unit in the box, doing well, but these ten goals a season strikers to me are just top championship.

If we are to lose Anderson to City this year (hopefully not) why not ask for 100mil and Rico Lewis with a big sell on clause or $$ if they win the league or Champions League? We should learn to start wearing the pants in these negotiations rather than wearing a skirt with no underwear.

At last a post about football. Yep, we should screw these arrogant, cheating parasites for every last penny. The so-called big 5 are a scourge on the game. Every time a player has a couple of good seasons, they are hovering around.

Hope City eventually get their comeuppance. One positive for next season is we won't have to see Guardiola spitting all over the place on the sidelines.

2.) 04 Jun 2026 08:36:36
I think it's a dangerous time for players to sign for City, they don't know the outcome of the 115 charges yet.
I personally think they should have a transfer embargo put on them, plus points deduction.

3.) 04 Jun 2026 08:45:06
I'm pretty sure agents dealing with City will be asking to insert a clause into the players' contracts allowing them to leave if any sanctions mean their careers suffer.
It could be a legal minefield. I hope it comes to that as well.
Total corruption, in my opinion.

4.) 04 Jun 2026 09:35:01
I think also the Premier League should have suspended any transfer activity pending the outcome.

5.) 04 Jun 2026 12:05:27
Anderson's price tag should be well over £100 million.

6.) 04 Jun 2026 12:09:59
Bsered, apparently the big man has said 115 million or see you later, the irony of that figure. ?

Does anyone else think CHO should play through the middle more often? He looked lethal pushing at the defence when given the opportunity driving more centrally? Would also give him more opportunity to score in both corners.

SYDRED

1.) 02 Nov 2025 10:48:50
Possibly, but i noticed yesterday that he went to his left i. e. the byline and put in a superb cross which jesus almost scored from, if he did that more often defenders would have to stop standing on his right foot expecting him to cut inside and shoot.

2.) 02 Nov 2025 11:12:02
That wouldn't be a bad idea.

3.) 02 Nov 2025 11:22:31
He looked a lot happier there. I have a question for you fellow posters, do you think we would be in our present prodicement if we weren't in Europe?. I believe we wouldn't, and the facts do show this would be true. It was well documented on this site at the beginning of last season that mid table was a good target. well we punched above our weight and look what we got. A large influex of new players, at an enormous cost, and I think has unbalanced our tight knit squad.

then you have the two tier squads (uefa rules) those players who didn't make the euro squad must have been well p. ed off. Things like that divide players. Nuno wouldn't have left and we would be sitting in or around mid table now. i think we were two seasons early for Europe, it will be interesting to see how Bournemouth fare if they qualify next season. Personally I don't think we will be relegated but we must keep Anderson until the end of the season. keep the faith.

4.) 02 Nov 2025 11:52:08
Red Vale the foreshadowing of a team like Villa who tried to compete to soon with the "chosen ones", like ourselves are now finding it tough trying to keep so many balls in the air at the same time ??.

5.) 02 Nov 2025 13:13:34
Oakham, Mossy, Vale and Syd et al these are all excellent and perceptive posts. CHO looked good in a flexible role. The skill is to read the game and decide when to do something different ( and make sure you are not leaving a gap behind you)

25 Oct 2025 06:13:21
A great team performance in Europe with some real balance and confidence. We have great depth for rotation, especially in midfield and on the wings. CHO is class and needs to shoot on sight more, ndoye is capable and works hard, bakwa we are yet to really see but has great attributes. We really need to finish top 8 in Europe to avoid the extra 2 games in the play offs.

The loss ro Mityiland not looking horrible now considering they are 3/ 3. Happy with a mid table finish if we go deep in Europe. I think it will be a random season for results and therefore the table could be tight again, which will benefit us.

1.) 25 Oct 2025 10:19:40
Yeah, agreed.
We looked a lot more solid, I thought the back 4 did well and Williams was excellent, great to have Murrilo back.

I thought MGW had a decent game and Anderson and Luiz bossed midfield, when they are fit I can't see Yates and Sangare getting a look in but there will be rotations I am sure.

Excellent start for the new Dyche era, and away point (or more) at the Cherries would top off an excellent week for them.

2.) 25 Oct 2025 12:34:49
My only worry is there's no goals coming from midfield these players need to practice shooting and getting in the box, till Dyche gets the defence tightened up we need more goals and can't see that happening with the player's we have. Certainly think a few will leaving in January and a couple of Dyche favourites coming in.

3.) 25 Oct 2025 16:02:39
Jester been saying same for months
Your either a natural scorer or your not though imo and MGW, Anderson, sangare, Yates aren't and never will be regular scorers, so it's vital their final ball are assists.

Ok fellow reds, I'm going to give me interpretation of the situation and then ask for your opinion.
We seem to have effed up in with Big M getting rid of Nuno, Edu being the main concern. That is obvious.
I agree that tactically and short to medium term.

SYDRED

1.) 03 Oct 2025 14:24:10
Don't think Mr M will get rid of edu or arge, he doesn't want to lose face. As I posted yesterday Mr M was with Rafa benites at the olimpiarcos game, who insidently is out of work. it looks to me the signings that edu made might be for financial gain in January or next season depending on whether we're still in the prem. just my opinion though. i also see his plan to fill in the corners of the Trent end taking capacity to 45000? Well good luck filling the ground if we're in the championship. it also means the previous planning application's will be null and void so the whole process has to start again. talk about kicking the can down the road.

2.) 03 Oct 2025 16:31:11
If we sack ange n get benitez that'll be relegation confirmed and an even more toxic atmosphere

Fat Spanish waiter or a fat aussie wombat, decisions decisions ?.

3.) 04 Oct 2025 06:40:24
F. K me the negativity here is crazy. Someone name me a manager that would come and change things. Red stripe? You sound like my wife, lots of complaints and no solutions. There isn't a manager in the premier league other than pep with more silverware and success than Ange. I say STFU and stay in your narrow minded lane.

Dennis finally off to Romania. That should free up wages even if it's a psr loss.

He is a strong game-changer. We have to move on Kalimuendo most likely, and maybe Awoniyi, although he looked very solid at the end of the season. He could be a good squad and cup player. Having Wood, Mateta, and Jesus is a very solid forward line. I still think we need some serious pace on the wing, and another CB.

Nuno ain't going anywhere. Smoke and mirrors. Brendan Rogers is a great manager but not right for us. Klopp or nothing, he has a soft spot for old historical clubs.

Love T. A but a loan move seems to be best for all involved. If he has a good season away, it could Jack up the sell price coming into his final year.

I disagree DTP, he has a great touch, good vision, breaks up play well. If he can get a more positive first touch and improve his speed he'll be unbelievable. Don't know why you hate on him so much. Had been a stand out through the last 6 weeks and with Europe, cups and prem, we need him.

I'd like to invite Jerry Springer to host this year's first dramas page. About the only guy appropriate to mediate this reality tv nonsense.

AcAgen we scored two mate. Also scored in Europe. Squad is short on confidence and structure, fitness also an issue apparently. Stoked on the performance, sort out set piece defence, aina, Dominguez, wood back, we will be strong.

I think being annoyed at the situation we are in is completely justified and frustrating, we should be enjoying this season but instead it's some highschool reality show. However, the same ego and passion that got us to where we are also has another side to it. Bless MR M for getting us here and as long as he keeps that same passion and ambition no matter what, it's better than anything else you could hope for.

I couldn't want a manager less than Sean Dyche. Uninspiring football and can barely understand a word he ever says. I've seen more inspiration in my toilet bowl.

All of you lot complaining about a guy who has invested half a billion pounds in the team and given us hope and success. Or course he has an ego, you don't get to where you are without one. Such short sighted garbage i read here sometimes. We should all be on our hands and knees kissing this man's shoes.
