We desperately need quality depth I think those incomings and outgoings give the squad good quality and balance for a full season with European football.

Doesn't look like MGW will be off to city after all, well there's a surprise. Poor lad has had his head turned by pep's mind games, don't think they even wanted him just to unbalance him for the semi final. if it is the case then I for one feel sorry for him, not nice having your pants down like that, hope he can learn from this and move on. At 100mil don't think there will be many takers. We could have done with the money but I'm sure we will get over it.

Me personally thinks there will be at least one outgoing star or maybe two from our squad, the lads from botofargo look to be a done deal, but we will bring in more players imo that we're not being connected with at this time

Big deals take longer due to getting replacements in first
MGW looks happy enough to me, but when someone puts out a mega contract and a chance to win silverware then they will go
We got a nice profit on niakhate and mangala and we will need to keep doing that to stay within the rules
I like some of the names you've put forward, but doubt many will become a reality, barring the botofargo lads

Interesting midfielder I've read we've been linked with is Inter Milans Davide Frattesi, very much in the mould of Anderson but at a stage in his career where he has a lot more experience. 25yrs old and wants a move to the prem, €30m, bargain. ?.

I need to check the rules again, but don't we have to sign or use 8 home grown players in the 25 and FOUR of them have to come through your own youth system. Abbot, Yates and two more from your own club plus 4 more from FA clubs youth systems? I'll do a post about it properly later as don't want to get it wrong and see what everyone thinks.
Basically, only 17 of the squad can be foreign (i. e. not trained at Forest or other FA clubs as youth players). I'll do a deep dive tonight if my Mrs doesn't take me out or whatever.

Obviously disappointed to lose yesterday but there’s no need for so much negativity.
Who thought we’d be in the top 4 in February before the season started? Very very few people might have thought it. Most would have been happy with anything above 12th given our last two seasons.
We are massively overachieving this season, challenging for any sort of European football has come a season too early but I do think we let ourselves down in the January transfer window by not bringing a couple of new additions in.
If we do manage to get either europa or champions league i'd like to see our summer business look like this:
CB - Guehi (to replace Omabamidele/ Boly)
LB - Unsure here but a position that’s needed
CM/ CDM - Douglas Luiz (to replace Dominguez)
CAM - McAtee
Winger - Mbeumo/ Bowen
Striker - Delap
I think Mr M is serious about Forest pushing for regular European football so I imagine we’ll be looking at signing players of the calibre I’ve listed.

You're spending best part of £350M
on that lot and that's not possible unless you're Shiteh.

We’re not going to spend that and even if we could, players of that calibre simply won’t come to Forest. Pussyfooting around with the ground for six years, no clear plan of what we are going to do, we’re not ready yet and it’s taken far too long for stakeholders to see the value that Nottingham Forest are bringing to Nottingham.
Best to enjoy premier league football for a few seasons, hopefully by then the ground (and Nottingham ) will hold more appeal. Owner has done fantastic for us, we can’t expect him to turn around 20 yrs of mismanagement of ‘The Business’ (because that’s what it is ) in a short time frame.

Plus it's a geography thing with many top players. London or North West.
I'd love to see us in Europe again and I think we will quality for one of the competitions but we will suffer in the league because it has happened before we are ready.

1 winger on the bench (Jota Silva) I did think he’d come on if I’m honest. Dominguez isn’t a winger at all. Anderson can do a job there though.

Southgate has to go at the end of this tournament.
He brings our best passer (Trent) off and brings on players that run in behind shortly after (Bowen and Watkins) absolutely baffling.
Tripper (although limited with our options) has been underwhelming, would rather Joe Gomez play there.
Declan rice has been poor over 2 games yet plays the full 90min.
Foden while he had his moments on the ball today he’s been underwhelming, Gordon and Plamer must be wondering what they have to do to get a kick!
With the player we have, we should be playing much better football, controlling games much better, creating far more chances. This comes from Southgate and he has to go.
