Bigger picture.
We got to the last 4 for only the fourth time ever. The other three managers who achieved that got knighted.
Beating Mexico with ten men took a lot out of the team, in my view.
They looked good for 60 minutes.
Thereafter, they looked out on their feet.
If we had held on, we would more than likely have got a good hiding from Spain anyway, who are a well-oiled machine, as shown last night.
I think they will deal with the Argies on Sunday as well.

Once we were ahead, he should have put on attackers, not defenders.
Doing what he did was more or less telling the team we couldn't do it.

Gonzalo Montiel played at right back for the Argies as well. He played well for us in the Garibaldi.

I remember Laryea. He hardly ever played for us, but he was an aggressive and quick left back. He became one of Mr M's "disappeared ones", loaned out and never seen again.
Montiel played a few times and did a good job, but I remember him being torn to pieces by a quick winger one evening, can't remember the opponents or the player.
