Selz oh dear what was he doing
Sets up the wall so he covers other half of goal then let's the ball beat him on the side he's covering
MUPPET.

He made up for it could of been 3 nil after welbeck walked passed out 4 defenders.

2.) 22 Sep 2024 16:10:52
How could it have been 3-0??.

3.) 22 Sep 2024 16:22:58
I meant 3-1 you got to be feeling great today after another masterclass Stevie ? uredddssss.

4.) 22 Sep 2024 16:57:45
Skegs it’s a great point, but he virtually admitted his selection wasn’t quite right with his halftime subs, but I’m very happy with the point, I’m interested to see how we go in a home game,

Reading on here it's as if people want Nuno out already, we are 3 games in and not playing too bad.
Carry on as we are and we will be fine
But my question is which manager do you think would actually come in and do any better than what we have at the present.
I don't think we would get a top manager yet.

Stabinheart

1.) 03 Sep 2024 17:34:56
I'm not sure we'd attract top managers.

2.) 03 Sep 2024 18:04:41
A bit bonkers that some people want him out this early in the season. Baffling to say the least.

3.) 03 Sep 2024 18:32:32
You are right. We were very lucky to get Steve Cooper when we were at the bottom of the championship. Nuno was the best we could get after SC was sacked.
So until we achieve a stable upper mid table position, no one will willingly come. So we can only hope Nuno is the next step up we need.

4.) 03 Sep 2024 21:19:50
Are you happy with three home wins in seventeen games pollyard and is that exceptable?

5.) 03 Sep 2024 21:50:05
I don't count the previous season, DTP. That's gone we've started the new season. I think we should have more points than we have. But I'm not stupid enough to start shouting for a coaches head after 3 games into a new season. It's just a ridiculous idea.

6.) 03 Sep 2024 22:06:19
Out of curiosity edd what is your opinion of nuno?
And is he doing a good job?

{Ed001's Note - I am not a fan of Nuno, but then I don't like managers who set up to sit deep and go for a draw first. Counterattacking is for when you are already winning imo. He is also far too close to Mendes for my liking and will always try to sign players from Gestifute (who are also his agents) over other options, no matter which is the better player. For instance he vetoed the signing of Dani Olmo at Wolves in favour of Podence.}

7.) 03 Sep 2024 22:33:57
Pollyard great post.

8.) 03 Sep 2024 23:06:04
Nuno will be stepped on very soon.

9.) 03 Sep 2024 23:24:31
Thanks edd for your opinion
Mine is just down to performance and I go to every home game and I find his stats unacceptable if we want to move forward as a club
He even took the fa cup seriously against Blackpool and Bristol seriously and still couldn't beat them
Three home games all one one against not the best we will meet worries me
Goalkeeper will struggle to keep a clean sheet
It's five points, but I think It will still be five points after Liverpool and Brighton and if we then don't beat Fulham at home, then it has to ne game over for nuno, because then it just gets hardr.

{Ed001's Note - if you play the counter from the start, it does make it difficult to beat lesser teams as your players are not being coached on what to do when they have long spells of possession.}

10.) 03 Sep 2024 23:37:03
Wow edd I've looked it up.
No wonder transfers are so complicated
Thanks edd opened my eyes to a new era.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

11.) 04 Sep 2024 00:14:52
Pollyred
3 games at home already this season and all one one draws against not the best
Is that good enough seeing as you aren't counting last season?

12.) 04 Sep 2024 01:23:28
We aren't 3 games in under Nuno. He has been boss for a lot longer than that. We are 4 games in just this season, played total dross so far and only have one win.

If we carry on how we have so far under Nuno, he will (and probably should) be sacked.

The only thing that seems to have improved is the move to recruitment of younger players, and I don't even know whether that is his decision.

I hope it improves rather than him getting fired, as I don't want this run of hardly any wins to continue.

13.) 04 Sep 2024 06:23:51
My my how expectation levels have changed!
Last year we went a third of the season (yes unbelievable isn't it? ) without a win and some of you were happy with the manager and saying he shouldn't go.
Here we are unbeaten (early days yes) including against 2 of our so called bogey teams who we never beat and your already moaning.

14.) 04 Sep 2024 07:57:27
If you read what I put then you will see I stated that I think we should have more points than we do. But it's early days. If it's still the same in October/ November then it might need a rethink. No coach can be blamed for his players creating chances but not putting them away. We've created a lot of chances this season so far but we haven't scored enough goals. That is not the fault of the coach.

15.) 04 Sep 2024 16:20:07
On my original post no one has actually answered the question.
With these people calling for his head no one can actually name a better manager that we could actually get at this time.

16.) 04 Sep 2024 17:50:24
Next Easter, brian clough stab, along with taylor.

17.) 04 Sep 2024 18:13:30
Completely off topic, Stabby, but I'd go for Nuno Espirito Santo until results start going awry. Then it might need looking at again.

18.) 04 Sep 2024 23:41:03
It needs looking at now.

31 Aug 2024 07:57:20
I think over all a good window
A set piece taker in. Which we needed and maybe the set piece coach had a say in that 1.
A good defender in that now gives us 4 decent in the centre which is cover for each or a good option to go 3 at the back,
Or my preferred option 4 at the back and push Murillo forward a bit and play a 4 1 2 3
Give Murillo licence a bit and his forward runs won't cost us so heavily then.

I'm pleased with our transfer business. Just a slight grumble about not bringing a striker in but other than that pleased. The new players shown us Wednesday night that they are good enough to give Nuno a selection headache. We seem to have good depth now which we haven't really had for the last 2 seasons. I was already optimistic about this season and now a bit more so. COYR!

30 Aug 2024 15:56:48
As I stated previously a couple of days ago on here
At least deliveries may improve and with our strikers although not mobile certainly big enough to get on the end of a decent ball.

Stabinheart

1.) 30 Aug 2024 19:05:27
It's not just about one striker scoring all the goals, midfield have to score their share, MGW needs to get double figures, the wingers need 6 or 7 and ot would be nice to see centre backs chipping in, it's been along time since we had a centre back that scored from corners.

Haven't had a free kick expert since lansbury which is appalling. Ward prowse is that, he's worth 15 goals minimum with assists.

25 Aug 2024 08:12:41
As said on here possession means nothing if you don’t do anything with it, you could have 1% and win a football game.
What we lack is a mobile striker with pace who will make runs for gibbs white to slide balls through too.
Woods doing a good job but not the striker we need.

Stabinheart

1.) 25 Aug 2024 09:17:31
If Elanga looked up Wood could've scored one or two himself. Not just Elanga not looking up though and/ or making the wrong decision. There were 3 or 4 players doing it at times.

2.) 25 Aug 2024 10:02:54
Correct Pollyard - wood will score if he’s given the ball.

3.) 25 Aug 2024 10:46:02
Strange that I'm sure he had at least 3 shots no goals though.

I think some players obviously have a level and are also suited to a certain way of playing. Bamford under Bielsa is a perfect example. Jonno and spence did great under Cooper and the way we played on the break suited them because of their speed.

Possession based teams are never going to suit their skill set. I would take them both back at Forest.

He might not be but my point was he’s giving these players a try because they deserve a chance
How many previous managers would have been too scared to try.

I don’t agree
It’s about time we had a manager who picks players not based on reputation but what they do on the pitch
One thing last 2 games have showed is we have more than a starting 11.

Not a chance in hell will our manager have the bottle to do that
I think just about everyone on here knows the 11 that will start on Saturday and so do Liverpool.

Try telling mgw it was pointless
He will have been proud to have pulled on that shirt.
