I reckon that's 4 points Seles has earned for us in last 2 games? Whose moaning now even with samba in the stands it makes no difference he can't be replaced at minute.
Not saying all down to him but with our stable back four I see us not conceding many so the odd goal will win us games.
1.) 22 Oct 2024 16:32:24
I read another dinosaur or should we say has been has come out of the woodwork and proclaimed forest aren’t good enough for a top ten finish to the season. Well mr pardew you’re intitled to your opinion and 27000 forest fans are intitled to theirs. Personally I’d be happy with 11th place.
2.) 22 Oct 2024 16:53:18
Sels has been immense all season Stab. Must be the best keeper in the Premier league. He's off a different planet to Samba. Just needed a good defence to work with and Milenkovic has proved to be the missing piece in the jigsaw. It's so easy to make a goalkeeper the whipping boy instead of analysing the problem correctly which Nuno has obviously done. ?.
3.) 22 Oct 2024 17:06:55
There is very little wrong with what he’s saying when you read it objectively it’s what most rational fans are thinking, that after 4/ 5 seasons of getting established we can start looking up. He’s right in my opinion.
4.) 22 Oct 2024 20:11:34
I'm sure your correct 2stars, but let's look at the bottom 4 two positions occupied by two established teams. You would have thought palace would have pushed on this season after their 8 wins out of 9 last season, but the table doesn't lie.
07 Oct 2024 07:50:01
Reading all the comments I agree it was a great game and played well apart from the odd individual error. Jwp take a bow
However I think the Liverpool game was better tactically and a better team performance.
1.) 07 Oct 2024 08:31:24
Isn't it great that we are talking about how well we've played at Liverpool and Chelsea we will have set backs but it's obvious we can bounce back now Fulham last week wow what a change this week enjoy these moments Reds, Nuno needs time back him and all will be well. Of course if not we have Mr M who will swing the AXE AND THE CYCLE GOES ON ???.
2.) 07 Oct 2024 11:34:20
Wasn’t at the game yesterday so can’t comment too much, but what I saw on the high lights gave me a new sense of pride. First of all our away fans what a credit for our club, they have to be up there with the best, truly amazing. As for our team they never gave up, battled for the best part of 120mins. Sels unlucky for the Chelsea goal unsighted as a Chelsea player stepped over the ball. I hope nuno gets the job right for our home games, we have 3 very winnable games coming up and the 9points will come in handy. Let’s hope he let's them off the leash and play like yesterday.
3.) 07 Oct 2024 11:44:02
Spot on Jester we are 10th in the Premier league and not floundering round in 17th Spot as usual. I can see what Nuno is doing wrong. Nothing and What Sels needs to improve on. Nothing apart from respect from the certain sections of supporters they are both doing fine ?.
4.) 07 Oct 2024 12:19:17
I said weeks ago self had not done much wrong
Now I think some are beginning to appreciate that as well.
5.) 07 Oct 2024 12:31:28
Absolutely right Stab. People are to quick to judge. Let's all settle down and keep moving forward ?.
6.) 07 Oct 2024 18:15:38
Sels and Woods, two players who have had criticism on here ( me included) got us a point at Chelsea. Sels has made it easy to criticise on previous displays, but at Stamford Bridge he set a standard which I hope he sustaines for rest of season. Woods just goes about his business getting goals, not flash, no crossing his chest and looking to the gods, bearly smiles when he scores, proper pro though.
22 Sep 2024 15:03:15
Selz oh dear what was he doing
Sets up the wall so he covers other half of goal then let's the ball beat him on the side he's covering
MUPPET.
1.) 22 Sep 2024 15:29:16
He made up for it could of been 3 nil after welbeck walked passed out 4 defenders.
2.) 22 Sep 2024 16:10:52
How could it have been 3-0??.
3.) 22 Sep 2024 16:22:58
I meant 3-1 you got to be feeling great today after another masterclass Stevie ? uredddssss.
4.) 22 Sep 2024 16:57:45
Skegs it’s a great point, but he virtually admitted his selection wasn’t quite right with his halftime subs, but I’m very happy with the point, I’m interested to see how we go in a home game,
03 Sep 2024 16:33:08
Reading on here it's as if people want Nuno out already, we are 3 games in and not playing too bad.
Carry on as we are and we will be fine
But my question is which manager do you think would actually come in and do any better than what we have at the present.
I don't think we would get a top manager yet.
1.) 03 Sep 2024 17:34:56
I'm not sure we'd attract top managers.
2.) 03 Sep 2024 18:04:41
A bit bonkers that some people want him out this early in the season. Baffling to say the least.
3.) 03 Sep 2024 18:32:32
You are right. We were very lucky to get Steve Cooper when we were at the bottom of the championship. Nuno was the best we could get after SC was sacked.
So until we achieve a stable upper mid table position, no one will willingly come. So we can only hope Nuno is the next step up we need.
4.) 03 Sep 2024 21:19:50
Are you happy with three home wins in seventeen games pollyard and is that exceptable?
5.) 03 Sep 2024 21:50:05
I don't count the previous season, DTP. That's gone we've started the new season. I think we should have more points than we have. But I'm not stupid enough to start shouting for a coaches head after 3 games into a new season. It's just a ridiculous idea.
6.) 03 Sep 2024 22:06:19
Out of curiosity edd what is your opinion of nuno?
And is he doing a good job?
{Ed001's Note - I am not a fan of Nuno, but then I don't like managers who set up to sit deep and go for a draw first. Counterattacking is for when you are already winning imo. He is also far too close to Mendes for my liking and will always try to sign players from Gestifute (who are also his agents) over other options, no matter which is the better player. For instance he vetoed the signing of Dani Olmo at Wolves in favour of Podence.}
7.) 03 Sep 2024 22:33:57
Pollyard great post.
8.) 03 Sep 2024 23:06:04
Nuno will be stepped on very soon.
9.) 03 Sep 2024 23:24:31
Thanks edd for your opinion
Mine is just down to performance and I go to every home game and I find his stats unacceptable if we want to move forward as a club
He even took the fa cup seriously against Blackpool and Bristol seriously and still couldn't beat them
Three home games all one one against not the best we will meet worries me
Goalkeeper will struggle to keep a clean sheet
It's five points, but I think It will still be five points after Liverpool and Brighton and if we then don't beat Fulham at home, then it has to ne game over for nuno, because then it just gets hardr.
{Ed001's Note - if you play the counter from the start, it does make it difficult to beat lesser teams as your players are not being coached on what to do when they have long spells of possession.}
10.) 03 Sep 2024 23:37:03
Wow edd I've looked it up.
No wonder transfers are so complicated
Thanks edd opened my eyes to a new era.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}
11.) 04 Sep 2024 00:14:52
Pollyred
3 games at home already this season and all one one draws against not the best
Is that good enough seeing as you aren't counting last season?
12.) 04 Sep 2024 01:23:28
We aren't 3 games in under Nuno. He has been boss for a lot longer than that. We are 4 games in just this season, played total dross so far and only have one win.
If we carry on how we have so far under Nuno, he will (and probably should) be sacked.
The only thing that seems to have improved is the move to recruitment of younger players, and I don't even know whether that is his decision.
I hope it improves rather than him getting fired, as I don't want this run of hardly any wins to continue.
13.) 04 Sep 2024 06:23:51
My my how expectation levels have changed!
Last year we went a third of the season (yes unbelievable isn't it? ) without a win and some of you were happy with the manager and saying he shouldn't go.
Here we are unbeaten (early days yes) including against 2 of our so called bogey teams who we never beat and your already moaning.
14.) 04 Sep 2024 07:57:27
If you read what I put then you will see I stated that I think we should have more points than we do. But it's early days. If it's still the same in October/ November then it might need a rethink. No coach can be blamed for his players creating chances but not putting them away. We've created a lot of chances this season so far but we haven't scored enough goals. That is not the fault of the coach.
15.) 04 Sep 2024 16:20:07
On my original post no one has actually answered the question.
With these people calling for his head no one can actually name a better manager that we could actually get at this time.
16.) 04 Sep 2024 17:50:24
Next Easter, brian clough stab, along with taylor.
17.) 04 Sep 2024 18:13:30
Completely off topic, Stabby, but I'd go for Nuno Espirito Santo until results start going awry. Then it might need looking at again.
18.) 04 Sep 2024 23:41:03
It needs looking at now.
31 Aug 2024 07:57:20
I think over all a good window
A set piece taker in. Which we needed and maybe the set piece coach had a say in that 1.
A good defender in that now gives us 4 decent in the centre which is cover for each or a good option to go 3 at the back,
Or my preferred option 4 at the back and push Murillo forward a bit and play a 4 1 2 3
Give Murillo licence a bit and his forward runs won't cost us so heavily then.
1.) 31 Aug 2024 09:16:33
I'm pleased with our transfer business. Just a slight grumble about not bringing a striker in but other than that pleased. The new players shown us Wednesday night that they are good enough to give Nuno a selection headache. We seem to have good depth now which we haven't really had for the last 2 seasons. I was already optimistic about this season and now a bit more so. COYR!
14 Mar 2024 16:30:26
I think 3 points is what we will be receiving.
26 Nov 2024 18:28:53
Can’t believe that everyone is dropping sels
I don’t believe he can be blamed for either of the defeats and has been the playing well.
10 Nov 2024 17:35:16
We cannot blame the officials today I’m afraid
The second half we were way off
I think some of the players were beginning to believe some of the press and believing we are better than we are and forgot it was hard work that got us in that position.
21 Oct 2024 14:36:07
I think that will be right apart from sosa
It will be elanga.
07 Oct 2024 12:19:17
I said weeks ago self had not done much wrong
Now I think some are beginning to appreciate that as well.
19 Sep 2024 07:51:08
I think some players obviously have a level and are also suited to a certain way of playing. Bamford under Bielsa is a perfect example. Jonno and spence did great under Cooper and the way we played on the break suited them because of their speed.
Possession based teams are never going to suit their skill set. I would take them both back at Forest.
