I had a bad feeling about today! We need a striker and midfielder, but why the team selection? Wood is fit, so should start.
And why bring in Schlager and not play him from the start with Sangare? And why, oh why, spend £35m on a defender and put him on the bench!
I have a theory, chaps and chappettes! Hear me out, because the bad blood with Palace is the root cause here! Steve Parish is using OG as a wooden horse to destroy Forest from within, and it's working! Very few additions! Poor team selection, and I bet OG was wearing his lucky Crystal Palace budgie smugglers!

Just a observation that might not have any logical support.
Isak's 'record'transfer to a club that is proud to reflect the compassionate, welcoming and unique culture of the city.
Liverpool now appears to be one the world's wealthiest top clubs in the player market. I am aware that Premier transfers are big business, but do you not find that this jars a bit identifying with the local economy which is struggling: housing, health, employment, etc. Would the Boys from the Blackstuff be proud. Maybe they would?

How do other clubs compete with this money? The economy doesn't reflect the money being spent, but then you have the players wages on top! It beggars belief that most players are over £50k a week, when most supporters don't get that a year!

Keef, one thing about competing on the money front. let's say we only need a couple of players next window now we've got a much stronger squad, but we have £150M to spend. Well then we can spend that on a £60M and £90M player and just sell a couple of weaker squad members.
When you spend well and are established, the hope is that you don't need to sign 8/ 9 players every window.

I've never been a defeatist Piran - quite the opposite in my daily life! However, I'd be amazed if we get a result on Sunday. Obviously, it's great news for us that they may be missing 4-5 key players on the day. I think a win is do-able, but highly unlikely. Anything can happen in a Cup game though I suppose.
I hope that I'll be eating humble-pie after the game!

Please no! The biggest self publicist of them all! The media will have to camp outside the ground so they can luxuriate on every uttering from the 'great man'. Still it might take the pressure off the team and fans who might be forgotten and Jose will probably forget to manage the team with all the media attention!

Followed the game on BBC text, but did Forest come out positively from the VAR call at Liverpool? Surely some mistake. They also failed to score in the last seconds of injury time. Did Forest play well, or Liverpool play badly?
