Two full days left before D-Day Reds! Tonight, I've decided to take a calculated risk - defying two of my Dr's orders, I'm hitting the whisky tonight. Either this will kill me with my dodgy kidney function or it'll sort me out to attend the match this weekend.

I've waited too long to spend a quality weekend away with my son, hopefully meeting some of you and attending a match again at the CG to roll over to the flu and cancel.

If I go quiet over the next couple of days, please ring for an ambulance for me!

Take care Legless and good luck ?.

2.) 11 Dec 2024 19:42:54
Thanks Stokey - mostly my dark SOH coming out as you've probably guessed already! After not drinking the stuff for 6 years, I'd forgotten how good whisky is though!

3.) 11 Dec 2024 20:19:17
Many many years ago, I went to a party and drank whisky all night. I felt great and when it was time to go home I chose to climb over four 6 ft high back garden fences to my house instead of walking 50 yards along the pavement.
I haven't touched the stuff since. As for Brandy, well that's a Different story. Cheers.

4.) 11 Dec 2024 20:32:39
What's the old saying, it will kill you or cure you. Mind you a glass of whiskey with a tea spoon of honey mixed in has always done it for me.

5.) 11 Dec 2024 21:07:18
Weirdly, I've just fried 2 massive pieces of black pudding which I bought from my local butcher and ate them straight down on their own. I must be tipsy!

10 Dec 2024 20:02:01
Full of Man-Flu here Reds - sipping Lemsip and coughing like I'm on 80 Woodbines a day. I'm feeling a bit grumpy and sorry for myself tbh.

However, who thinks we should now forgive Lineker after his public apology for his bias against us?

LeglessRed

1.) 10 Dec 2024 20:13:06
Not me King Bin Dipper is an anti Forest prick imo.

2.) 10 Dec 2024 20:31:06
Get better soon mate.

3.) 10 Dec 2024 21:11:48
Thanks Rogie.

Just to play devil's advocate though - maybe we should forgive the guy? I suppose he was only being loyal to the team he played for, as we expect other pundits who have been associated with Forest to also have positive comments about us. Also, let's not forget what he did playing for England.

4.) 10 Dec 2024 21:42:36
Once a tosser always a tosser. can't stand is arrogance and bias. and I'm club before country so don't give a damn what he didn't do for England.

5.) 10 Dec 2024 21:55:36
Let's hope that villa game tonight as took its toll.

6.) 10 Dec 2024 22:16:27
Sorry Legless, never. I questioned his mental capability on Twitter and he got me banned. Far too much to say for himself, on subjects he has no knowledge. If he had stuck to football, no issues. But he tried to use his platform for woke policies. Pardon the expression but if he was on fire, I wouldn't cross the road to urinate on him. My bad.

7.) 10 Dec 2024 23:11:48
Scouse I would. my piss is like petroleum. he'd be like a walkers pack of smokey bacon ?.

8.) 11 Dec 2024 11:00:33
Legless, have i got to wear a mask and carry hand gel on Saturday when we meet? Don't want non of them Cornish germs ya know, I'll end sounding like Jethro?.

9.) 11 Dec 2024 14:51:04
Oh it’s hard to be umble when you’re perfect in every way!
CARLO.

10.) 11 Dec 2024 16:14:17
MV - that could be a very good idea mate. Also, no man-hugs!

08 Dec 2024 17:21:02
Chalk and Cheese springs to mind! We looked like a totally different team from the one that played City. I thought we looked solid in every department - not perfect, but solid and playing with fire in our bellies again.

That, on its own, would have been good enough for me after the car crash (best wishes to Antonio BTW) of the City performance. But to dig-in and show the resolve we did to get the win I think was superb.

Happy Legless! Bring on Villa.

LeglessRed

1.) 08 Dec 2024 17:57:57
Not the first time Antonio has had a car crash
Crashed his lamborgini on Christmas day while dressed as a snowman a few years back.

2.) 08 Dec 2024 18:38:06
Carlo!
I'm literally just after singing that to my daughter's United loving boyfriend!

3.) 08 Dec 2024 19:02:38
Sure it was a lambo and not pi$$ed reindeer? Dtp.

06 Dec 2024 20:56:28
Time to stop bickering now chaps. Tomorrow, we go again - I just hope we play with more passion and fight this time around.

1.) 06 Dec 2024 21:13:53
Legless where you born with a spoon in your hand? ???
Thought you got a good thread going there yesterday mate
You where right and the others were wrong
Well done ?.

2.) 06 Dec 2024 21:24:03
Im sure even if we play well and get a result someone will find something negative in it. but bring on man u. ureddssss ?.

3.) 06 Dec 2024 21:36:40
Skeggs
Even if?
Are you starting to doubt nuno? ??.

4.) 06 Dec 2024 21:44:42
I've got a tingly feeling in my imaginary toes that we'll get a result against Man u tomorrow if we go into the game with the right attitude.

BTW, thanks DTP.

5.) 06 Dec 2024 21:56:03
Your welcome legless, best laugh I've had in ages.

6.) 06 Dec 2024 22:08:45
Living the forest dream me dtp no need to worry about a relegation battle for a change and on course for the mid table nunos been set. win lose or draw tomorrow mate ?.

7.) 06 Dec 2024 22:21:25
Here's a question for you
Our remaining hoke games are
Villa
Spurs
Liverpool
Southampton
Brighton
Aresenal
Man utd
Man City
Everton
Brentford
Fester
Chelsea
How many points can you come up with from those fixtures to make us a mid table side?
It's a straight honest question.

8.) 06 Dec 2024 22:30:21
Home broken screen.

9.) 06 Dec 2024 22:38:25
Put your red wine down mate ?? and enjoy the Nuno revolution maybe see you tomorrow if we lose if we get a result see you in a few weeks night night pal.

10.) 06 Dec 2024 23:07:03
Well, we better get something out of the Villa game as I'll be there. If we mess-up and lose without a fight - I'll get myself on the pitch and kick Nuno repeatedly in the shins with my metal legs. He'll learn a lesson from that experience! Can you imagine the back page news?

11.) 07 Dec 2024 02:18:55
15 ^ 20 points I reckon DTP on that spreadsheet.

We are 66/ 1 to go down.

Nice to be able to relax. Touch wood.

Just nice to enjoy being were we belong?.

12.) 07 Dec 2024 03:03:41
17points DTP.

13.) 07 Dec 2024 07:32:41
Ii reckon twelve points
Mind you depends on if any players are signed in January.

14.) 07 Dec 2024 07:51:46
Are away games are a lot easier and will get plenty of points from them so like I say still on course for mid table. and no one can predict points this early on them games there could be injuries to forest players or the opposition team that would change peoples minds about games so the answer to a pointless question is take every game as it comes like Nuno does ?.

05 Dec 2024 19:37:16
I've just read all of your comments about the game Reds. I think it's great to read others' opinions which can vary so much - and that is the essence of this site and being passionate Forest supporters.

However, the terms 'what if' and 'if only' that I've read don't cut it with me I'm afraid. I've been chatting privately with McGovern this evening and I'll say to you all what I said to him earlier - I believe last night we played with no tactics, no passion and no fight. That is not the Forest-way.

Our club has been through two 'miracles' via both Clough and Cooper. Our first miracle is the reason I started supporting Forest in the first place - I loved the fact that we defied the odds with passion and self-belief. Unfortunately, those traits that attracted me to the club in the first place were sadly lacking last night.

I wouldn't have cared if we had lost 8-0 yesterday if at least we had shown some fight and attacking spirit. Instead, we rolled-over and submitted from the first whistle.

I say again - all of us, particularly our away supporters, deserved so much better.

LeglessRed

1.) 05 Dec 2024 20:01:05
That's funny legless nobody was bothered about the away fans losing most of the time under cooper in his premiership seasons I think they've not done to bad so far under nuno. also Clough and cooper in same sentence please ????.

2.) 05 Dec 2024 20:03:32
P s how many different grounds did cooper win at in all is premier League games 4 ????? so please come up with something that makes sense.

3.) 05 Dec 2024 20:17:28
Great analysis Legless mate.

4.) 05 Dec 2024 20:25:18
Three managers do what Cooper did every season. (get promotion from the championship) but you don't hear constant hero worship from them and that's real small clubs like Huddersfield, Blackpool and Luton etc.
Just let it go it ridiculous the man got lucky and couldn't follow it up so we got rid like all clubs do ?.

5.) 05 Dec 2024 20:31:47
Great analysis balloons mate ??.

6.) 05 Dec 2024 20:35:37
You're totally missing the point I'm trying to make Skegs. I'm not talking about results. I'm talking about our attitude on the pitch.

7.) 05 Dec 2024 20:43:13
Did you watch premier league games under cooper we was lucky to see one of our players going into the opposition half it's the most boring football I've ever seen don't get me wrong he was totally great in championship but come premier he didn't have a clue maybe if Nuno through a few fist pumps every now and again some fans might be happy, ? and legless you said away supporters deserve better as I said they've had it 10 times better under Nuno.

8.) 05 Dec 2024 20:47:00
I'm not going to argue with you Balloons, as that is probably what you want. However, what is going on in your head to regard Cooper as 'lucky'? To take us from the bottom of the Championship to the PL can't surely be regarded as luck?

I agree that Cooper struggled in the PL though. But, with more experience, I think he'll be one of the top dogs in a few years.

9.) 05 Dec 2024 20:56:03
I actually agree with most of your post there Skegs. I'm glad that you've finally given Cooper the respect the guy deserves for what he did for us whilst we were bottom in the Championship.

10.) 05 Dec 2024 21:02:04
It was actually only 2 Skegs.
Southampton and Chelsea.

11.) 05 Dec 2024 21:18:54
I put the games where he was in charge of his favourite club as well red fred fester ??.

12.) 05 Dec 2024 21:20:30
And legless I've always said he was a good championship manager.

13.) 05 Dec 2024 21:30:57
Legless your making a very valid and sensible point, but it's awaste of time with the skegg mafia and Fred's there again with his little red chalk board.
Cooper got points at home Fred to stay safe, beating arsenal, Liverpool and drawing against city and Chelsea in the process and taking us to a cup semi final along the way
It was time for a change that's football but stop trying to make Cooper put as useless because he wasn't
When you talk of navas and filippe they were bought in to help out for 4 months and did just that, filippe was then non existent due to injuries the next season
Also we had one striker in awoniyi who was put injured half the season l, but we still stayed up
So a little respect is due.

14.) 05 Dec 2024 21:38:15
OUT phones a menace.

15.) 05 Dec 2024 21:46:56
He has a little respect as a championship manager as for premier League total waste of time he won't be getting another job there unless he brings a team up from championship simples.

16.) 05 Dec 2024 23:12:47
Talking of letting fans down I remember being at the Etihad when we lost 6-0.
MGW and Johnson up front with Awoniyi, Surridge and Deniss on the bench. I think it was called the false 9 but it never paid off.
I'd forgotten we had 3 strikers back then.

17.) 05 Dec 2024 23:29:18
Well Fred you've just answered one of your own questions, Cooper had surrige and Dennis to pick from
Nuno got CHO, elanga, sosa, jota, wood, awoniyi, plus he hasn't got Worrall, mckenna, to have to rely on as his centre backs
You know how many points nuno has taken at home from, aresenal, city, newcastle twice, villa, Chelsea, Liverpool?
None, yes none.

18.) 06 Dec 2024 05:25:25
Lost me there.
I could have sworn he had CHO, Elanga and Wood but chose to leave Wood on the bench more often than not.
Did he not also have Johnson, Lingard and Origi?

{Ed001's Note - so what you are saying is that your recruitment has been crap and Nuno doesn't have a much better squad to pick from? Deluded much? Your recruitment has been excellent the last couple of summers and turned the squad from a relegation battling level to a mid-table squad. Regardless of which manager is in charge, it is ludicrous to claim Cooper had anything like as good a squad to choose from.}

19.) 06 Dec 2024 05:29:24
Here? Balloons?,
"You don't here hero worship from them? "
. and I bet they don't mock they're previous managers like you do either mate?

20.) 06 Dec 2024 06:49:39
Whatever anyone says Nuno is a step up from cooper. and that's what he is fact. and that's what it's all about better players better manager and if and when we're ready for the next step it will happen again.

21.) 06 Dec 2024 07:03:46
Recruitment hasn't been crap under Nuno or Cooper Ed and I don't see a massive difference between the players either had.
Murillo, Filipe, Serge Aurier, Lodi, Aina Mangala, Freuler CHO, Elanga and Wood were all there under Cooper.
We've since signed Malenkovic and Moreno who were replacements for Felipe and Lodi. Warde Prowse who hasn't really worked out, jota and Sosa who look good but not really set the place alight yet.

{Ed001's Note - recruitment was abysmal on your return. You bought so many players that it was absolutely moronic. You bought more than an entire squad, which is ludicrous. Since then it has improved massively. This constant rewriting of history to suit your blinkered anti-Cooper agenda that you, Skegs and Balloons do is embarrasing. There is not a intelligent human being on the planet that could possibly look at the squads the two had available and not see a marked improvement in quality. You can downplay that all you want, but it just makes you look foolish.}

22.) 06 Dec 2024 07:18:43
Yes at the start it was chaotic but please tell me which players Nuno has that are better than what Cooper had to choose from and you'll soon fall down.
That is the argument being pushed by the anti Nuno brigade.
I'm not anti Cooper in any way shape or form and loved the guy but will argue the toss on squad strengths all day long.
The foolish ones are those that say Nuno is crap.

{Ed001's Note - Murillo has gained experience and is better for it. Milenkovic is better than Felipe. If you don't think the squad is better than you are deluded. Your squad was terrible and a big mess to begin with. Most of those players you mention that Cooper had were coming in on the back of little playing time or injuries, like CHO and Elanga. So they have had time to get sharpness back. And Anderson is better than anything Cooper had. He is your best midfielder by a mile.}

23.) 06 Dec 2024 07:40:33
You seem to like the word deluded Ed and keep banding it around as a way of trying to get a point across.
So it's now Anderson that's made all the difference hey? The guy that doesn't even start every game and has one maybe two assists all season and no goals.
Before you say I'm deluded about him though I will say I like him and think he'll go on to be a great player ?.

{Ed001's Note - no, I just use it because it suits you. It is clear you are deluded and it is a waste of my time discussing this with you. You are too busy twisting my words and stats to fit a ludicrous agenda. Tedious and pointless to try and discuss with someone who will refuse to even read correctly what is said. I am done with it.}

24.) 06 Dec 2024 08:05:29
You should try reading properly Fred
For that game against city which was our fifth game on returning to the premier, Cooper didn't have navas, aurier fillipe to pick as they arrived in January and niakhate had just got injured, lodi had only arrived that week, we had the likes of colback on the bench, when we played city at home in February we had those players plus wood and under Cooper got a draw with one of the best goals scored and finished off by wood, I believe it was around 20 odd passes starting from navas, and that's against city
You talk nonsense that Cooper had just as good players back then in our first season.

25.) 06 Dec 2024 08:21:44
I never said he had all those players against City?
I said we had 3 strikers on the bench and started with MGW and Jonhson up front.
Still nobody can come back at me with who Nuno has that was better than Cooper had.
Milenkovic isn't better than Filipe and if CHO and Elanga were not up to speed under Cooper because of a lack of playing time then neither is Anderson yet he gets thrown into the
mix.

26.) 06 Dec 2024 08:45:35
How many games dud filippe play in 18 months?

And those strikers were surrige, Denis, who's a winger and looking for a last pay day england International, all three doing nothing then and still aren't
Edds right at the end of the day and picked out that city defeat whilst talking about navas and fillipe who weren't at the club then.

27.) 06 Dec 2024 08:54:21
Still not sure what your getting at.
First season wasn't the issue as he kept us up.
It was the second season that did for him with 13 games without a win unfortunately.

28.) 06 Dec 2024 09:24:27
If first season wasn't the issue why bring up city away in that season?
Navas and fillipe and lodi weren't available to Cooper second season, two went back and one was never fit,
You wrote the first post.

29.) 06 Dec 2024 09:45:29
City away was purely bought up as a response to the original Legless post about fans deserving a better performance when he was referring to the recent City game.
Please keep up.

30.) 06 Dec 2024 09:45:41
You say anti cooper lol the argument is fans being anti Nuno and only coming on slating him when losing so words are getting twisted. i can't see no argument really cooper 2 clubs in premier league sacked from both jobs says it all no matter what anyone says.

31.) 06 Dec 2024 10:27:28
Nuno been sacked from his last two jobs skeggs, so your point is?

32.) 06 Dec 2024 10:28:24
Think edd has kept up with you pretty well Fred ???.

33.) 06 Dec 2024 12:12:40
Your right dtp he got sacked from one team after getting them into Europe twice above expectations ask any wolves fan they'd have him back tomorrow then there was spurs probably a job beyond him. cooper sacked because he couldn't Do his job in premiership fester picked up on that very quickly. 12 games that's the difference. ???.

34.) 06 Dec 2024 21:49:50
He never got sacked by wolves
He went to spurs who sacked him very quickly
He was sacked in the Arab league
Try and keep up.

35.) 07 Dec 2024 06:54:11
??? wow how slow was you. so he done a cracking job at wolves in the premier League. ??????.

36.) 07 Dec 2024 12:40:33
You couldn't catch a cold skeggs
Feeble effort ??.
