Not having the luxury this season of the three promoted teams will struggle, getting some sort of run going, is going to be so important, but with these players at the moment, it's a head scratcher where wins will come from?, Sean Dyche has a week with the player, s and next game against man u the team I think will look very different!.
Bit of a querk, the three bottom teams have Nunos finger prints all over them🤷.

All I know is dyche can't put that same side out against man utd and expect a different outcome
But he more or less will, he'll play awoniyi or wood just for size, the goalkeeper and back four will be same, MGW and Anderson will be nailed on so only changes will be wingers or winger nothing else
I dreaded dyche getting the job but somehow it needs to work, just can't see it at all tbh.

I'm really finding it hard to work out what's going on with Forest atm. On paper, we have the players to do a job (although as the Legend rightly said unfortunately we don't play on paper, we play on grass) ; we now have a proven, gritty manager; we're still in the PL and playing in Europe once again. Yet, we seem determined to throw all of our achievements and new identity away.
Big M and Edu are the architects of our current demise. I think both have tried to make the club sprint even when it was still learning to walk in top-flight football again. Nuno knew it. I hope that this is simply a case of over-ambition. However, the effects of unrealistic over-ambition can be equally as negative as having no-ambition.
So, I guess that the effects of the mistakes that our club senior management has made have now filtered through the funnel into the players.
We've all seen it - our players seem currently devoid of self-belief, emotion, direction, fight and ambition. Dyche certainly has a job to do with them and it seems mostly with their mentality.
I'm confident that we'll bounce back Reds. Dyche is the man to manage us out of this situation. I just hope that Big M and Edu have learnt not to interfere and give the guy a proper crack at the whip. I am a dreamer by nature though. We'll see.

That was on the players today, men v boys don't care who Manager is but was unacceptable all around no fight no confidence and like dyche hinted at no fitness
Whoever signed all those players in the summer should go, to bring taiwo n Yates on says it all after spending 130mil
We in big trouble no 2 ways about it, he'll make us stronger n more disciplined but a lot 9f these players got no fight in them, I could very easily see us going down

Lego, your post hits the nail squarely on the head mate. I posted something very similar a week or so ago, blaming shocking ownership and how badly this club we love is run. I believe I even cited Bournemouth as a prime example of a well run club.
The people on here blaming Dyche need to give their heads a wobble. He arrived Tuesday and had 1 and a half coaching sessions before Porto. Then recovery Friday, travelling to the South Coast Saturday. Then playing a team 2nd in the table. They will turn over sides in much better shape than Forest this season if they can keep their manager and key players. Also, they had a week off with no European involvement. It showed today. Dyche, very reasonably, picked the same team as Thursday to provide some sort of continuity.
The downside is they looked knackered from the off, especially against a fast pacy team like Bournemouth who play with great intensity right from the off
This is what happens when you “ change horses mid stream” as I've put it previously. No pre season, 13 new players to assimilate and a disastrous managerial appointment bringing an entirely different style of football. The players probably don’t know if they are coming or going.
Mr M for all his ambition and passion gives even his successful managers an impossible task. So SC, Nuno, Ange, rinse and repeat….
The good news is that SD has a week with the squad and the chance to prepare properly for Man Utd. What’s the old saying “ ( Dyche” ) can do a good job given time, miracles will take a bit longer…….

Stokey, I think you have the measure of it, we have just played a team that is purring with their performances right now and it absolutely showed today.
It's going to take a bit before we are back to our confident best in what we do, it's going to be a frustrating season but I think there will be at least 3 teams worse than us come the end of the season.

See what happens by Xmas and I'm sure you'll have changed opinion
If he keeps trying to play the same side without rotation when in Europe then we will be screwed had the option of playing fresh players in awoniyi, kaleamundo, Hutchinson, mcatee, cuhba, sangare, Yates from the start, his subs and tactics to get back in the game were woeful but predictable.

Isn't Syrianos important for recruitment. Him and Edu were named as appointing Dyche so I'm guessing he has a hand in other recruitment too.
As for over-ambition, appointing Dyche is not ambitious and he is Edu and Syrianos appointment, not Mr Marinakis'.

If their honest most forest fans spirits are quite low witnessing the carry on of M and his “trusted” lieutenant, the players will be feeling much the same, like us they have seen the carry on enfolding, yes signings were needed but it seems much of the money spent has been spent rashly to say the least.
The defence seems to have been wilfully neglected Midfeild and wingers arrived in abundance.
Team spirit is crucial and once broken so hard to rebuild but that is Sean and staffs job.
If they fail we all know what will happen and we will return to relative obscurity.
Let’s hope M eventually faces up to reality and does what he should have done a while back.

Iraola job was under threat 3 years ago so it hasn't been plain sailing for them. However you can’t deny we seemed toothless compared to Bournemouth. Tavener and Kroupi where did they come from? Never mind Semenyo who was more out of the game today. I can’t think of equivalent Forest players. However we should count our chickens! We have two first team England players, two under 21 players, one of which was the captain.
9 of the players last season got us to where Bournemouth and Sunderland are today. So we have one injured and one sold. There are teams worse off for players leaving such as Brentford and Brighton yet they are still doing better. I cannot think of a better manager to galvanise these players and get them back to their true potential. Players that don’t subscribe to SDs philosophy and discipline should move on.

It's irrelevant tbh as what's needed is for dyche to find a winning formula and fast
That might upset a few players and might need him to be more expensive in his tactics
I still believe we have to break up the pairing of MGW and Anderson to see any improvement
They simply aren't doing it in the opposition half.

I think MGW would be more effective as a number 8 than a 10. He is a good passer, has good workrate and can harry the opposition well. He doesn't score much and can create from number 8.
Anderson looks like a better number 6 than 8. He is great except in and around the box, where his shooting and final ball are often off. Everywhere else he's brilliant so number 6 looks the better option for him.

Cyclist they can't play in same team if you want goals it's been proven in over 200 games they've played that they don't provide a goal threat and you can't have two midfielders doing that let alone three when you add sangare, Yates, into the equation has to be broken up as a partnership.

Especially on here fans weren't happy that nuno got us into European conference last season they thought nuno should of got us into champions league after the start of the season where everyone would of been happy with mid table with the squad we had me personally I would of been happy with 10th and build on it but no Mr m wanted more edu wanted more fans wanted more they wanted attacking football so along comes ange and edus players how did that work out🤣🤣 because now we've gone back to a more defensive coach could you imagine us in champions league losing 6 or 7 nil every game now the Premier league will be a distant memory soon all because we want things done now.

I suspect the players fitness has dipped recently with the European matches. These play a toll on all the players. This was a reason for spending money and enlarging the squad as best we could. We are at the bottom of the feeding chain and get left overs. We got Anderson because of a financial loop hole.
SD has to work with what he has in the squad. He worked with Wood at Burnley and he will be back up front as soon as he is fit. To date we have scored one goal this season in the premiership. I am confident we will survive this season.

Dyche and co have had a whole week on the training ground with the lads and had to navigate a tricky European game midweek.
Unfortunately i think we'll need to choose this season, European run or safety in the prem. Think SD will see this and start playing weaker sides in Europe.

We never looked like scoring against Porto never mind today and edu didn't buy, Anderson, MGW who were both shocking and couldn't get a grip on midfield at all and their woeful passing and set pice play is no good as our engine room
No goals, no creating goals so no point keep playing them together
If dyche continues to do so he'll be out of work at Xmas
It's no use keep trying to blame edu, only ndoye out of our new recruitment has played regularly the rest hardley a game, it's last seasons players letting us down, by not being able to keep a clean sheet or score a goal and yet they play every game regardless, it's time to make changes from goalkeeper to midfield and wingers
But gibbs white will still play every game and do very little but give the ball away in his own half
Everytime one goal goes in we all know we won't equalise
I stated I didn't think dyche has the players to play hus system and nothing has changed my mind on that, be another short tenure as marinakis won't want championship football next season.

My point DTP is that Edu has not found players, having the funds to sign established premiership players is one thing, but unearthing talent at reasonable prices is a completely different skill set and Edu has not convinced me that he is that man. But time will tell, I do not know which players he has been involved with at forest, but none of the signings forest have made in the window has shown me that they are going be a fantastic signing, but I hope that they do.

Monty, I don't know about great signings, but Jair Cuhna (I think Marinakis work via Textor) and Savona look decent but will take a bit of time to develop. Jesus isn't the finished article (again Marinakis via Textor) but looks promising.
Everyone was raving about Douglas Luiz, who was an Edu signing. He's obviously a superb player, but I'm worried about his fitness and how many minutes/ games we can get out of him.
Kalimuendo doesn't look ready yet. A lot of players take time and don't do much 1st season. Bakwa looked on fire in France but we just haven't seen enough. Hutchinson could be a good signing, but none of the new wingers have played that much apart from Ndoye.
Ndoye? Don't know what to make of him. He looks more like a full back than a winger at times. Flashes of good stuff, a few mistakes, and does the defensive side well.
But we need several of the new signings to have a decent season. We can't do what some on here were saying and start Luiz and Anderson in midfield every week and every Thursday. Wingers can't play 90 minutes twice a week unless they don't work hard enough.
Dyche has no choice but to play some different sides in Europe to the one he wants to play in the Prem or you'll see more tired performances from the likes of Anderson, MGW etc.

Now the team. I did mention the obvious on couldn't hit a barn door.
But my, you got to get to it.
Now my old days as a keeper, I'd have straight away, defender on front post. I'd be telling other defenders (with aggression) to get rid of any efwit forwards. Myself I'd be about 2 x yards off back post.
That way I can come forward and either punch/ grab whatever.
JUST MY GAME REMEMBER, now ok ok the lot of ya before you tear into sels. He's without doubt (and sadly) one of our main players.
I said yesterday, where do goals come from. Now tbh I was mainly on about scorers. And midfield giving their service. From backroom staff. To owner we are in a big mess. CHO: Where was he today? One good game against Porto, and then goes missing in the next game. Subbed and rightly so.
MGW: Back to doing nothing, like he had done all season. Subbed and should have been subbed earlier.
Sels: Handled crosses like a Sunday league player. Simply woeful for both goals.
Anderson: Worst game for Forest.
Williams: Did little.
Ndoye: Nothing.
Jesus: Invisible.
The list goes on.
Pathetic waste of at least 2 corners, that went from corner to the opposite side of the pitch and out. That. Is. Scandalous.
We were about as sharp as a butter knife cutting into Sunday roast.
Players falling over each other. Passes going astray. Lost count of how many times we played the ball back to Sels. It was pathetic.
I can't remember when we made three subs immediately at the start of the 2nd half.
I honestly do not recognise the team we are putting out from last season. A season that started with so much promise has descended into another Forest sh*t show, and a struggle to probably stay in the premier.
Dyche has a HUGE job to sort out the team. Some of our lot need dropping. CHO, MGW are just two.

One thing you always get with Wiiliams is effort and that was sadly lacking with some of the others.
Luiz clearly isn't fit (that's why Nuno never started him yet still got slagged off for it).
Savona MAY improve given time but early indications are he could be up there with Forest' s all time worst signings.
No pace in the team whatsoever and could not live with Bournemouth's intensity at all. They're miles ahead of us in all departments yet we came up together and spent loads more than them.

They have an excellent forward thinking coach Fred and also have state of the art training facilities
I agree we have no pace and elanga is so missed
Brentford list their two forwards and the coach, but Andrews has taken the game to the opposition and attacked teams
We were 2 nil down today and bought on awoniyi, Yates and Hutchinson and tried hoof ball to awoniyi to get those goals, never going to work.

Bournemouth have done really well since being promoted on crowds of 10.000, and I bet you would be hard pressed on saying who there owners are, far better business model than we have, slow progress not instant success!.

We also have to remember that Bournemouth thrashed us last year five nil with most that side playing again today
Dyche has to shake things up or he's toast.

Ask yourself dtp, is it dyche or players, for me they just don't want anything to do with the badge, just the bank balance. livid tbh. As for fred, williams the only forest heart. Ok sorry sels. ❤️.

Williams most underrated player at forest and works hard. The players if you can call them that at the minute would do well to be top 6 in the championship never rated dyche but I'm afraid he's the only one that would come here under Mr m and edu fact what decent manager would want the hot chair here with no say in the team or players fact.

Shocking all round weak performance, never had a worthwhile shot and once sels gave his usual flap away we where finished
When two down awoniyi gave them something to think about but just hoofing it to him was never going to work
MGW totally anonymous again abd contributing nothing, free kicks and corners that had laughable delivery yet again
That's relegation unless dyche makes some big changes
My feeling is he'll be gone Xmas
Got to give the likes of kialimundo, Hutchinson, Mcatee, cuhna and Victor a chance as this lot are simply not doing it.

Another poor performance. Doesn't seem to be a team that's gelling anywhere on the pitch. MGW not in it, Murillo poor, Ndoye non existent, CHO not functioning. Can't see many bright sparks today.
