I hope we don't waste a now talked about 60 million on Bergvall. Take punt at 20 million ok but can't see nothing about him, couldn't buy a game in a relegation quality squad. There must be better out there for a lot less surly.

24 Jul 2026 06:40:24
Yes, Spurs trying to play payback for MGW. We must be stupid if we pay that price.
24 Jul 2026 11:45:10
Don't you 2 ever disagree???
Go on just this once.
???
24 Jul 2026 12:47:05
That reminds me, Rogie. One of my favourite films is "The Odd Couple" starring the brilliant Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon!
Nowhere near as good as our own "Chuckle Brothers", of course.... ???
24 Jul 2026 15:10:36
I'd say it's pretty obvious that only idiots would think he's worth 60 million. But I guess there are a few out there. ?
24 Jul 2026 16:22:59
Yes, Stokey!
2 absolute legends, brilliant series, and movie.
24 Jul 2026 18:46:27
Got to agree, Jay! That lad ain't worth nowhere near that kind of dish! Was a bit-part player for "Spuds" last season, so not worth a punt for potential. Move on. Gotta be more value out there.
24 Jul 2026 20:05:08
Diomande incoming, deal done.
Regarding Bervall, I'd say it won't be a straight 60 mill anyway, more a structured payment, like MGW was.
By all accounts, the lad has real talent, so I'm not against it. The recruitment has proved before, with Anderson, that they see things in a player.
24 Jul 2026 20:17:09
To be fair, Bergvall got player of the season in his first with Spurs. Structured or loan to buy would definitely be better. ?
24 Jul 2026 20:40:31
Think loan to buy is out of the question. Spurs spent a lot.
But it's one that will take time, with Newcastle also interested, but probably not at the price as a straight deal.
24 Jul 2026 21:13:02
"Dosh" not "dish".
24 Jul 2026 21:28:02
You've been reading too many of my posts, Perko. ?

Officially announced today, that Austrian International Xaver Schlager is now a Garibaldi Red.

Great freebie. Looking forward to seeing him play in a Forest shirt.
23 Jul 2026 16:18:24
I know his brother "Gold".
?☺️?
23 Jul 2026 20:49:58
I'm glad that he's reported to be a good footballer because with a chin like that he'll never be much of a boxer. ? ? ?
23 Jul 2026 21:02:48
Yes, looks a great freebie, skegs, and a player Glasner has worked with before and trusts, plus comes with a good pedigree.
Like you, looking forward to seeing him play.
23 Jul 2026 21:35:10
Get Diamonde in next from Sporting. Looks a beast with pace. Be some back three with Murilo and the Serbinator.
23 Jul 2026 21:50:20
That's what I'm hoping to hear tmoz, dtp.
23 Jul 2026 22:02:30
Saw him against Arsenal in the Champions League. He has an excellent passing range, and he's a beast to boot. The African Murillo? I really hope so. ?
23 Jul 2026 22:09:30
If we pull it off at 32 mill, then we have a bargain.
23 Jul 2026 08:24:05
I've seen posts suggesting we are looking to bid for Mateta, I would love this to happen. Them Palace fans hate us so much this would just break them. Plus he isn't a bad option to have.

23 Jul 2026 09:46:56
He'd be another "Stan The Man!!"
23 Jul 2026 10:00:08
Rogie, if he was half as good as SVC, I'd be delighted if we signed him.
SVC's England career was ruined by Giropool, who played him as a left winger when he was the best CF in the country when at Forest.
{Ed001's Note - they never played him as a left winger, he just wasn't training and it caught up to him. You are an offensive tool btw I really find your abuse of others distasteful and your constant snide little digs shows you up for the prick you are.}
23 Jul 2026 11:19:29
And there i was thinking the naughty step was reserved for us east coast neanderthals. ??
23 Jul 2026 12:35:58
Mateta would be a move in the right direction, followed by Wharton, and really that's all we need.
23 Jul 2026 12:55:57
Mateta would be a great signing.
23 Jul 2026 14:10:16
Schlager in big upgrade on Yates coyrrssss.
23 Jul 2026 14:34:27
I take it you've seen him play, Skeggs?
23 Jul 2026 20:13:50
Yep... thought not.... ???
23 Jul 2026 21:07:23
Tbh, Yates won't get much game time.
Can't fault his commitment, but he is very limited.
23 Jul 2026 20:43:53
Ed001 - a bit harsh on Munmad I think. Unless you cut out a lot of his more negative comments, I've never found the guy offensive at all. OK, a bit of a 'spotter' with players/formations etc - but I kind of like reading that stuff in his posts. Horses for courses.
Am I missing something here?!
{Ed001's Note - yes, lots of his posts have to be deleted.}
23 Jul 2026 21:13:00
Talking to yourself stokie.is usually the first sign of madness but i'm really glad your sitting by your phone getting excited waiting for me to answer you back.off to bed now so you will after wait till tmoz to see if I answer your question ???
23 Jul 2026 21:36:38
Skeggs. ???
23 Jul 2026 21:58:09
Stan was suffering from "depression" when he was at Liverpool.
23 Jul 2026 22:06:47
Cheeky question Ed, who has the most posts deleted? Me? DTP? Skegs? Larry? Bowie? Or Munmad? Or is there someone worse than all of us? ??
{Ed001's Note - Munmad by a clear margin.}
23 Jul 2026 22:43:58
Wow, I'm actually surprised, I honestly thought it would be myself and DTP, whilst having our usual handbags at 30 paces. I tilt my hat to you Munmad, you naughty boy. ?
23 Jul 2026 23:00:57
Can't think why you had me on the list, Winter?
24 Jul 2026 07:59:37
Morning Barry,
Don't worry about your reply, I know the answer already.
Anyway, the CPS are still after that written statement of mine you promised, mate.
If it doesn't arrive soon, they're going to throw the case out of court. ?????
24 Jul 2026 08:32:59
Morning Pan, I am actually patting myself on the back. I'm like your new favourite book. Well, I must be, I've taken you away from all your books, and it seems like you're only interested in my writing. I'm like a new best seller to you. The wonderful life of Skegs. ???? Living the Stokie dream. ?
24 Jul 2026 09:27:06
Dream on, dreamer. ??
REM "A simple prop, to occupy my time."
And they don't come much simpler than you, my friend. ??
24 Jul 2026 09:32:15
That reminds me, I must re read "The Idiot" by Dostoevsky. ?
24 Jul 2026 10:03:49
Another blossoming banter romance, warms the heart. ❤️
24 Jul 2026 14:32:38
RRH, it's odd that you should say that, mate, because the REM song is "To the One I Love", and The Idiot is actually the good guy of the novel. For Christ's sake, don't let Skeggs know, because I'll never hear the end of it. ? ? ? ?
24 Jul 2026 16:05:26
I've seen REM live, mate. ? ?
24 Jul 2026 16:18:09
But hey, life is bigger, it's bigger than you, and you are not me. ? ?
24 Jul 2026 16:25:16
I can play that on Ukalele.
???
24 Jul 2026 16:38:59
Yes, Rogie!!! You can serenade them, it'll be like Lady and the Tramp. ??
24 Jul 2026 16:51:58
Oddly enough, saw them play at the City Ground. It must have been after one of our relegations because Michael Stipe was trying to express his sympathy whilst admitting he knew nothing about football. ????
24 Jul 2026 17:01:26
I'm sure REM did a moody photo at Nottingham Railway Station either before or after the concert, with guitars in cases slung over their shoulders like they were an up and coming band on the road rather than the world's most famous...
21 Jul 2026 22:18:51
And so ta bed.
A lot of ya know how much I hate the premier greed, arabs and sky raping the grass roots.
Speaking of which, myself always loved to see an academy player making a stand.
As for going forward, sadly we ain't got to taylor with his magic wand.
Only an owner with an open wallet.
Like every team in the premier, you pay you take your chances.
We got anderson offloaded a greek dud.

A Greek dud, indeed, Bowie.
So Anderson actually cost us 15 million.
23 Jul 2026 11:27:17
When you look at it like that, maybe our big Greek owner knows what he's doing. I mean 100m pure profit. Not bad when some here can't say one good word about him. ?
23 Jul 2026 12:36:31
It was a great bit of business, RRH. Recognised the Geordies were in a spot of FFP difficulty, and needed a bail out quick. Plus remember Ando, though highly regarded, wasn't getting much game time. Plus we got rid of a real Greek dud, the goalkeeper.
22 Jul 2026 14:21:36
Long time reader and first time poster. Looking to see if anyone on here would be able to assist with tickets to a home game this year. Very hard to come by since moving to Premiership and it’s me wee lads. Birthday in September and he’s an avid fan. Any help be greatly appreciated.

22 Jul 2026 21:39:40
Welcome Rover. Watch out for a guy named Stokey - his posts will make your eyes bleed.
23 Jul 2026 10:42:15
Agreed, Lego and Irish.
I do come with a health warning.
I am to brevity what Larry Grayson was to Rugby League. ????

Get that tin foil hat ready, you'll need it after a few weeks on here. ?
22 Jul 2026 14:10:27

If I remember correctly, we didn't score at all last pre-season, did we?
22 Jul 2026 21:32:08
No, it was terrible, Stokey. I think the players knew there were problems with Nuno and Big M.

22 Jul 2026 17:49:43
Awyoni keeps banging em in too.
22 Jul 2026 11:52:17.
We need to get a trot on with new signings
Diamande £40m RCB
Bergvall 50m DM
Openda 50m CF
Oso 20m LWB
Job done but the problem is everybody knows we have money to spend.

22 Jul 2026 15:01:43
Been talk of a swop deal with MGW and Bergvall both valued around the same price. As expected, MGW is keen to join Spurs, so let him go. I don't want a repeat of last season with him dragging his bottom lip around the pitch until Xmas.
22 Jul 2026 18:18:55
It's not a real deal, Vale.
It's a pundit's view on what could happen.
22 Jul 2026 17:53:31
How can they be valued the same, some dodgy Swede who can't buy a game & one of the best performing mid fielders on the league last year. Joke
22 Jul 2026 19:00:27
Never going to happen, balloons.
Very, very lazy journalism, if that.
22 Jul 2026 18:28:13
WHat makes you think MGW wants to leave?
22 Jul 2026 19:08:06
Exactly, Cyclist, it's a poor bit of journalism.
22 Jul 2026 19:19:38
I'm certain he's happy with us, dtp.
22 Jul 2026 19:47:29
MGW, 18 goals and 7 assists last year, 14 in the Prem.
Bottom lip or not, we would be absolute bonkers to let him go!
22 Jul 2026 19:51:03
Vale Red, if Bergvall is worth 50 mill, MGW is worth 150.
22 Jul 2026 20:04:09
Couldn't care less who's worth what, just passing on what Football 365 reported yesterday. Just don't want the same crap we had to put up with at the beginning of last season. No one is irreplaceable.
22 Jul 2026 21:30:18
Mgw is not for sale and he's onto a good thing at Forest. No reason to leave.
22 Jul 2026 21:39:07
Hope you're right, Cyclist, but it's a long time to the end of the transfer window. And there are clubs out there that think they can do whatever they like because City got away with it. Let's wait and see.
23 Jul 2026 08:20:50
All down to Spurs thinking MGW really wants to go, but I have seen a swap deal mooted. Never, even in the deluded Spuds' minds, has anyone suggested a straight swap. All came about because MGW swapped agencies.
23 Jul 2026 12:49:53
Thanks Cyprus, I thought I was the only one who saw the articles.
23 Jul 2026 17:22:32
Vale Red, I think most saw the article but treated it with the contempt it deserved.
23 Jul 2026 22:21:13
Like I said let's just wait and see.
22 Jul 2026 09:47:08
Well, the vultures are out with cheque books ready, MGW and Williams being targeted. I have to say again, where is the money coming from?
How can Chelsea, Spurs, Man U, Man City, Arsenal spend so much on players, agents and wages?
Do they all have Russian mobsters in the background?
How can football survive for another 10/20 years? It's been mentioned already today, ticket prices, shirt prices, price of a pie ? and a Bovril?
Players' wages are ridiculous to be honest, how can they justify £200/350k a week.
Now the young West Ham player signing for the Saudi Pro League, probably on £500k a week, and playing Sunday morning style football - he has no ambition in life, just greed!
I am so pleased not to be a young football fan today, the best times have gone! I remember going to the first game played on a Sunday, Blackburn away, Forest won, Bert Bowery score a couple of goals. I bought a shirt, train travel, match entry, program, pie, Bovril - £5 plus change. ? ? ?

Still sold out stadiums at every Premier ground.
It does not cost anywhere near that as a season card holder, though.
It only equates to £30 a game for me, plus lots of other discounted tickets.
Away games are cheap if you can get a ticket, as they are capped.
So football will carry on.
No one makes you buy a pint or food inside the ground, there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
Just saying.
22 Jul 2026 10:48:16
Season cards are all well and good for retired people, but if you work and can't guarantee a Saturday off, it's pretty pointless.
Out of interest, how much is a season card at present? I can get a National League season pass for £400. ?
22 Jul 2026 11:01:29
Mines £565.
Nephews is £200 more.
If you can't get you can always sell it on the Forest web, so no losing out.
22 Jul 2026 12:04:10
So I'd be looking at 765 ish. It's crazy money when I can't guarantee which matches I'd be able to attend. I became a member of Sunderland and Newcastle last season to get tickets for our games up here. Might just rinse and repeat whilst looking at other sides like maybe the Manchester clubs.
At least that would be four games I could make, throwing in an extra few. Sunderland tickets were relatively cheap to be honest. ?
22 Jul 2026 13:07:44
You wouldn't get one, there's a long waiting list anyway.
22 Jul 2026 18:17:28
My friend got one this season in the standing area of the upper tier Robertson Stand. He was on the waiting list for three years.
