Well good luck with that team selection tonight VP, can't score won't score springs to mind! Why? We set up to defend when we can't defend, so why not go on the front foot and TRY to score!
West Ham have a front 4 against Fulham, so we will probably be in the bottom 3 for the weekend!
5 managers in a season, not impossible really, but I bet Mr Ms missus has hidden his Gold card.

COYR - you never know!

Have to agree, Keeff, we should have been playing two up front ages ago now.

04 Mar 2026 20:17:21
Suicide to an all out attack, City. They'll pick us off.

04 Mar 2026 20:29:08
They are picking us off anyway, just too easy to run at us.

04 Mar 2026 20:29:18
They just did pick us off, and we have Jesus up front!

04 Mar 2026 20:36:30
2 up front pre season got us no goals in 7 games.

04 Mar 2026 21:40:19
Brilliant performance second half, lads!!!!
Every one of you was a warrior tonight!!!
FTID!!!!

Are you listening, Fake Larry!
???

04 Mar 2026 18:42:46
got to give perrara a chance lads slagging him off after a few games is daft. for me he, s already spotted the biggest problem playing 4-3-3 with players not suited to it.
might lose tonight but i expect a better performance and hope he sticks with it.

St Cuthbert dribbled on Grubb? ?

Thing is, Bowie, which one will take corners?
Mind you, we have to get out of our own half first.

I can't believe that some posters on here are calling for Perreira to be sacked and move onto number 5 for the season. I see also that the "DinoDyche out" brigade have gone very quiet recently ( apart from one poster who I'm sure will have . "please insert name of presentForest manager here . OUT" inscribed on his tombstone. I can only describe such a post as a mindless, moronic, and meaningless mantra.
I'll say again, when Dyche was sacked so ignominiously after the Wolves draw his record was 22 points from his 18 games in charge, a total that if extrapolated would have seen us comfortably safe and which we can only dream of atm.
Also, 4 points from Wolves is looking more acceptable day by day as their recents results show.
Dyche's Europa record of 4 wins, 1 draw and one defeat, if maintained by his successor, will put us in the Europa semi final.

Be careful what you wish for. Also, who did you expect to take over under our madcap owner? Klopp? Morinho?
Perriera is a highly competent and experienced manager. But, he inherits exactly the same problems as his predecessors . poor recruitment, inadequate squad, interfering owner and impatient fans wanting a quick fix and a squad demoralised and confused by 4 different managers with different styles
Personally, I think he will steer us to safety. But, as per Dyche, Nuno, Cooper ( I leave Postacoglau out because it was such an obvious blunder in appointing him at all) for clough's sake ( sorry Bowie) let's give the bloke a chance.

Agree7 Disagree0

04 Mar 2026 15:28:02
Stokey the bloke has drawn 3 out of his last 16 Premier League games, losing the other 13 games this season. That will probably extend to 3 draws from 17 league games after tonight, having lost the other 14. Can you imagine any other club's fans being happy with that record? I could actually imagine him going through the season without a win.

It's a very poor appointment. I was no Dyche fan, but honestly this is scraping the barrel. See if I'm not proven right.
Tonight we could well slip into the bottom 3. Getting out of that, with this manager, will be almost impossible.

04 Mar 2026 16:35:25
Again, Frog, mate, I ask, "Who did you expect to take over from Dyche?"
Plus, as per my previous post, the Wolves' ownership had sold off his best players and pulled the rug out from under him. He was given a losing hand from the beginning.

04 Mar 2026 16:36:28
Would have thought that candle for Dyche would have melted away by now. Yes, you'll say it again and again and again. ? ? ? ?

04 Mar 2026 16:48:13
I totally agree with you Stokie, as always. Dyche was the perfect fit. ?

04 Mar 2026 16:50:14
And I do agree with you about VP. He needs time, which we don't have. As I said the other day, four managers, four systems, four different types of man management. We need to make it simple for our overpaid, overworked, poor, hard-done-by millionaire players. Heard Sels has been teaching MGW and Anderson their alphabets, bless. ?

04 Mar 2026 18:08:38
Bet they don't have any problems counting their wage packets.

04 Mar 2026 18:25:27
Well, that's shook a few awake. ?????

04 Mar 2026 18:31:27
As predictable as Dtp, he used to put the fishing emojis up when his argument ran out of steam. ???

04 Mar 2026 18:47:59
I freely admit Sean Dyche was the man to keep us up, and I was pleased with his appointment. A change of manager does nothing for team morale, especially x 4. This is a factor in how the players approach a game. Tonight is a shop window, and we will see some sterling - pun intended - performances tonight by certain players. VP may or may not be a good manager, but he is who we have got, so support. However, to revert to playing out from the back, just as Sean Dyche had stopped it, is confusing for the players, and Williams' errors at the weekend exemplified that.

How many times has Jesus been up front in the League and not scored? This is Manchester City! Do they have a poor defence - I don’t think so. Surely this was an opportunity to start Tiawo; he can’t do any worse. VP has picked a back 5. Sangare didn’t play his normal standard at the weekend, so for me a doubt too. No wingers, just wing backs. So, in conclusion, either playing for a draw or keeping the score down.

04 Mar 2026 18:58:59
Never been a fan of three centre backs. ??

04 Mar 2026 12:46:45
Pep has Citeh playing in a completely different way now. Let's see if Pereira has any tactical nous at all. Playing out from the back and three central defenders is not going to cut it at all.
Let's face it he was an underwhelming appointment. Surviving the drop looks pretty remote now.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Mar 2026 14:03:30
Bsered, underwhelming is an understatement!!! Look at the job Rob Edwards is doing with Wolves - could hardly buy a draw, never mind a win, under Vitor Pereira. Wolves fans I have talked to absolutely hated him. Now we are lumbered with him.

Performances are generally poor, and he's being done on substitutions by opposing managers. He's leading us silently to relegation, steadily steering the ship onto the rocks, and we seem powerless to prevent it. But we live in hope. Coyr.

04 Mar 2026 19:11:08
Pereira is, as I say, a highly competent and experienced manager. It's just that Sean Dyche is the Premiership survival expert and specialist, and saying adieu to him drastically reduces our chances.
I'm surprised you can't see that. Then, again, perhaps I'm not. ? ?

04 Mar 2026 21:50:11
Choo choo ...

04 Mar 2026 10:41:42
Just had a huge laugh, because some journalist has suggested his team for tonight! He has put Ndoy playing at right wing back ? ? ? Which would be suicidal to say the least. I think he must be a City fan, and is worried City might struggle!

04 Mar 2026 10:29:20
According to the press, Marinakas has had enough of Pereira already. Quite right too. Get number 5 in. ? ? ??? Laughing stock of world football, & another pasting is waiting for us tonight.

04 Mar 2026 13:00:59
Just read that story. VP hasn't done what he said he would do, by all accounts. So, a new record might be on the cards: number of managers in a season!
Neil Warnock has said he could do a job at Forest ?, but so could I!

04 Mar 2026 16:56:07
I'll do it. While I can't promise an upturn in results or performances, I can guarantee to buy you all a pint with the compensation payoff I'd get within a few weeks. ???

04 Mar 2026 08:37:23
Well who would have believed it. Tonight we could sink into the bottom 3. Weren't we there when SD took over? He pulled us out and we were battling and I feel we would be in a safer position today if not for impatience, stupidity and lack of loyalty. If we get relegated then SD would be the best bet to get us up again. This incumbent won't. To think what marinakis was hoping to build after promotion, " we will win trophies " well we haven't and we won't. As I see it his dream is in tatters and a return to moderation is looming. FFP will be after us if relegated, just look at Leicester, they aren't exempt from making poor decisions.

We scraped into this league and we rode our luck to the pinnacle of last season then marinakis the hot head through poor decision after poor decision has destroyed the buoyant crest of a wave created by probably one of the decisions he got right. But he couldn't let it rest he had to be involved to the detriment of team and manager. Remember he was found guilty of spitting towards an official, how awful. I dread to think what his next move will be if we're relegated. The scrutiny and potential punishments will make us unattractive to sell and certainly the megga mugs will be gone. Yes these are exciting times ahead for all the wrong reasons.

Who's looking forward to tonight. Got my recliner and beers ready. Watch MGW, Anderson and Murillo turn up tonight. I'm going for 1-1, Man City home goal. .edu out.

04 Mar 2026 10:52:42
Got to go for that 1-1, and will our nearly gone/going players impress? (Not sure who they want to impress, though).

Keef, retiring to Norfolk? Join the 'work from beach' brigade that have been here since Covid, in the cafes as well with laptops and briefcases.
PS Get used to roadworks/tractors!

04 Mar 2026 12:51:41
I'm afraid Norfolk may be cheap because it has such poor infrastructure. Roads, schools, hospitals, etc. are all poor. I worked there nine years, but wisely chose to live outside the county.

04 Mar 2026 13:11:23
Yes. Shame, it is beautiful, but the culture and aspiration here are somewhere in the fifties!

04 Mar 2026 08:14:16
Since we got promoted in May 2022, we have signed 72 players either on permanent transfers on on loan;
We have had: three chairmen (Randall → Cartledge → Randall again),
Two CEOs with a two-year gap in between
Four people in the sporting/ football director role (Dourekas, Giraldi, Wilson, Syrianos/ Edu), and significant boardroom churn throughout.

The club is run like this. You cannot succeed this way, you will only end up failing in my view.

For sure some players now look less interested than they did, but I would challenge anyone on here to feel like they did about a place with all this change and chaos around them, whatever you are paid.

Now we have VP, with a terrible recent track record in the Prem, replacing SD, who was turfed out because the Chairman got impatient and then got the players involved. Allegedly SD had to return to the stadium to get his marching orders. Shocking behaviour. No new manager bounce.

I am fed up with my club - our club - being run this way. Could I do better, I probably could. Many of us could.

I don't have £300-£400m to burn of course but every big decision and investment scheme requires planning, discipline, a proper team and stability to make it a success.

For sure Mr M is better than Fawaz, but that's a very low bar to beat.

Even Fawaz didn't hire Clattenburg, confront our manager on the pitch + deal with managers like this.

This approach may take us down, and this time we are going to be hamstrung with the kind of wage bill (even after we get rid of our only genuinely good players) that will make our eyes water. You thought Leicester was bad, I guess this could be similar.

Furthermore, in the last 5 years we have also become a club with a poor reputation, as irrational and chaotic, one complaining all the time . what a shame. We used to be a lot of people's second team.

Our only hope is that we somehow stay up and somehow Mr M sorts things out. Post SD leaving, I think the former is very unlikely.

These are testing times and we all love the club, but I don't love what it has become.

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Mar 2026 09:16:46
Mr M is the best we have at the moment. We have to suck it up and run with it. Can't do any other. Even if I had £300 million to waste, it would mainly go on my families and other good causes, not on football. I might spend a 100 million on a couple of strikers who could score. ?????

04 Mar 2026 12:55:36
Good post Agen. Sums the failure and collapse up nicely. We're in a doom loop, but how do we get out of it? No stability anywhere atm.

04 Mar 2026 14:08:58
Good post Agen. ?

Well done wolves, did something we failed to do in scoring against Liverpool. They showed spirit last night fighting to the final whistle.
Well sadly tonight I think we will drop into the bottom three. Once there it's a whole new ball game, the pressure will be immense. Serial loser for a manager, can't score goals, can't concentrate for 90 minutes defending, players not fighting for the shirt, £180m worth of dross signings.

We've got it all going on and I feel it's just inevitable we will go down this season.
As ever COYR but I will be watching from my Skegs sized recliner tonight, not travelling again this season to cheer on players- many of whom couldn't give a toss about the club or its fans.
