Far to many decisions, not just for the Garibaldi Reds, are going under the microscope and the people operating VAR are still making the wrong calls!

The Refs use VAR has a crutch they don't need to make a decision if they are backed by VAR the lines person does not flag he's covered by VAR and the Ref, the refs in the lower leagues are achieving better results because they are in charge and their assistants are actually helping them get rid please ??.

It's a long way from North Yorkshire to rhe City ground and as I was getting ready for the 5 hour round trip not including the match, I thought to myself " Do I really want to go today?".
I've enjoyed lots of non league this season and the only games I've not enjoyed have been our home games.
So I decided not to bother.
The club still got my ticket money and I saved 50 quid in petrol, a very long drive and about 7 hours of my like I wouldn't get back.
I watched it in the pub, we were crap and boring yet again and afterwards it took me 8 minutes yo walk home.
It might be the way forward I'm sad to say.

I clearly remember you and I had a disagreement many years ago about Karanka's management. I hated watching his style of football but it was quite successful at the level we were at so you kind of accepted it.
Probably begrudgingly, I don't know.
The club have my season ticket money for this season but I definitely will not re new unless I see some proper football being played by my team. This is utter dross.

Billy Davies football was exciting at the level we was at but even his football would of changed in the Premier league. Radio Nottingham does great coverage I listen to them even if on the telly, cancelled my sky sports yesterday they asked why I said because your biased against Forest your to pricey and I don't like your commentators also when you do show Forest instead of the big 6 they lose that told him. I'm just going to put this out there to see what my fellow-Reds think:
I would love to see Big M changing-tack and employing a young, hungry British Manager/Coach from the lower-leagues who gets his teams playing attractive, counter attacking football. Historically - the Forest Way. A pipe dream with our current owner? Probably.
However, just imagine it for a minute - as it has happened at Forest before! Big M has a 'rebel streak' in him alongside his massive ego. Imagine someone whispering in his ear that if he was to do the above, with the new Manager/Coach inheriting quality players and making a massive success of his appointment - that would make Big M look like an inspirational Owner and trailblazer within the PL. He'd revel in that.
Like many of you I'm bored with our style of football atm (which contradicts the Forest ethos) and the constant churn of Managers/Coaches who frankly don't give a s*** about our great club. I'm also concerned that we seem to have lost our identity, Are we all happy to be perceived this season as the club playing boring football and hoping to cling onto PL survival? I'm certainly not.
I've come to the conclusion that radical change is needed at Forest soon before the Trent becomes blocked with season tickets that have been cast away.

Legolas, Franks, Potter given a chance at a "top team" all failed even McKenna at Ipswich brought them through the divisions failed in the Premier, I think it's down to a lot of players think about there futures, not the team they happen to be playing for this year, getting the right coach and players buying into there tactics is the alchemy all teams want, and the reason so many coaches lose there jobs before a season is over!.

I'm glad Carrick has a chance at Man Utd. Eddie Howe was highly successful at Bournemouth considering the resources he had available. Played good football too. Won a trophy at Newcastle and was moderately successful. Had long tenures at both clubs, a luxury denied to Forest under Mr M.
Time to work his magic.
Carrick at Man Utd looks interesting but inherits a load of problems to start with.
Mossy, Franks is Danish. But Potter and McKenna failed in the big time for wildly different reasons.

It's starting to feel like Ange mk. 2.
The owner is not known for his patience(neither are the fans). One dimensional football and a system that is used regardless of the strengths of the personnel at his disposal.
Hard to watch and more difficult to understand. I would suggest that without an upturn in form and results
OG is already on a slippery slope.
Confusing team selection and absolutely no pace, creativity or guile.
It looks like it's going to be another long, arduous season with probably another management change along the way.

My over riding concern is for stability above all Fingers mate. I really hope Glasner pulls it together and gets us moving forward.
We have to deal with the situation as it is, not what we'd like it to be.
But the more I think about it, the sacking of VP when he had everything going for him was like a ref awarding us a penalty and us saying " you know what ref, forget the penalty, we'll take a corner instead " ??
Personally I hope Mr M has VP on speed dial just as a Plan B.
Despite the shocking manner of his sacking, VP is quite a pragmatic bloke and may consider a return.
After all, he was sacked by our owner just after winning the Greek League and Cup double.

Anybody can do a Google check Skeggs but you need to delve much deeper mate. He's mostly been sacked because, beneath that genial exterior he has quite a spiky personality and falls out with owners. A bit like Cloughie in that regard.
It's not lack of consistency. Indeed he almost invariably leaves the club in a much better position than he found it, with trophies in many cases.
He's an ambitious manager and the vast majority of those 19 clubs are Micky Mouse outfits ( again perhaps like Cloughie at Hartlepool).
Learning his trade.
So, it's just a false assertion that he starts well but has no consistency. His sacking by Mr M ( twice) is more typical. Did a great job at both Olympiakos and Forest and still got the push.
So, I'm afraid you've added 2 and 2 and made 5 my friend.

It seems you are reiterating your previous stance, Skeggs. Do you still support OG? OG is not a savior, and his continued unwillingness to consider different strategies could result in his failure. Although he requires time, Marinakis is always quick to make decisions, regardless of whether they are correct.
VP got us scoring and let's say it for what it is Marinakis f'ed up.
The irony is if OG gets the push, he will be £13 million richer.

7 are obscure, like I said, as per Clough learning his trade at Hartlepool. So, heard of Sanjoanese, Espinho, Santa Clara, Al Ahli, Shanghai, Al Shabab,.? No, me neither. How about the German equivalent of Port Vale ie 1860 Munich ?
The only " serious” clubs are Porto ( 3 year stint, successful)
Olympiakos ( 1 year stint, successful).
Fenerbache ( 2 years successful) etc.
Wolves we know about. Saved them then sacked when they sold his best players
Forest ( successful but sacked on the whim of the owner).
So, your contention that he " starts well then gets sacked because he's not consistent enough” is demonstrably wrong and wildly inaccurate
Steve, you miss my point mate. I agree that with an 18 month contract VP was not a long term appointment. In fact, he did 4 months work during which he was brilliant and merited being kept on. So, again, he wasn't sacked because he lacked consistency. He was sacked because the owner was inconsistent and chose to have 5 managers a year and made, in my opinion, one of a long series of poor judgement calls.

Well I've had enough of this Glasner tripe already. Glasner ain't no messiah, his Palace side finished one point and one place above a struggling Forest side who only picked up when Vitor took over the reins. My Mrs is well pleased with the way Forest are playing, because I've told her I'm not watching them again until the wing backs system is gone for good. But as a caveat to that, Ndoye has to be dropped altogether, with Jesus or CHO brought it!

Yes my Sky sports is going, will listen on the radio in future easy to turn off and do other things Forest have lost their way last season started it all the changes have destroyed the confidence of the players and Fan base. We are a shadow of the club I knew OG will go the same has the others and you will all be on rinse and repeat again!!. I really hope I'm wrong about OG. I am obliged to always support the incumbent Forest manager. But, sometimes, I feel like the Biblical Jeremiah, the prophet derided in his own land for his visions of doom. ( which did in fact come to pass).
I've said the many times on here ( and elsewhere) that I suspect OG only became available when he'd burnt his bridges with Palace and missed out on the top jobs at Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea.
Contrary to the myths on here, though he's undoubtedly a good manager, he's no Messiah as you say. VP has actually won more trophies than him. When VP was sacked Forests form, extrapolated over the season would have put them in the top six. His goals for and against in the top 4, second only to Man City.
The players and fans were happy and the football great to watch. All without a pre season or a transfer window, unlike OG.
I wasn't impressed by Palace when I saw them under OG at the WFCG when they were outplayed by our ten men for the majority of the game after Nicos brain fade.
Let's not even mention the Macclesfield Cup debacle eh?
OG won't change his system even though it makes our wingers ( such as CHO) redundant. We were scoring for fun under VP, now we haven't scored at all at home in 4 games, League and Cup. Certain people are on here seem to be over the moon because we beat a Villa team which is "in transition " ie missing its 5 top players.
As I said, I really hope I'm wrong.

I appreciate your posts Stokey, however in life we can have no ‘if only'. You cannot go back. OG will be with us I believe till the end of the season and I hope beyond. This club needs stability in large doses if it is to start to move forward. Managers of our esteemed club have not done well following their dismissal. OG may have aimed higher and is potential wage packet may have turned his eye.
He is young manager who will have aims that he does not want dashed by an under achieving team of his. He will want success. Until the Coventry debacle, OG was beginning to turn a few heads on this site. He had faith to come here as he liked what he saw. So let's be patient and see what happens against his old club.

Thanks Stokey?, Agree about Vitor getting the sack, everything was looking alright, players seemed happy and no discontent in the supporters, may have been a bit of spite on Mr Marinnakis part after Vitor left Olympiacos on his terms?. Mr Marinnakis may be having big headaches in his business outside of football, and at this time Forest are taking a back seat in his thinking, that's could be the reason we paid 50 mil for DeLap(could be great?) and Brighton brought Kostolas for 29mil and is producing man of the match performances for them, can't be Mr Marinnakis was thinking right to sanction that move.

I entirely agree Nuno about stability above all things and I really hope Glasner turns it around.
The real problem is our owner. Whilst he puts the money, passion and ambition into the club, his Darth Vader management and recruitment style stops us from achieving. 5 managers in one year is abysmal and doomed, ultimately, to failure.
