Can't add much more to the other excellent posts, particularly Chim.
A brilliant game for the neutrals, both teams going for it, high tempo and lots of skill on show.
Good decision making tactically by Nuno. At 3 1 up still going for it and could have had a couple more. But he recognised Man U in that position at home are a dangerous beast. When Fernandes ( easily the best player on the field) scored on the hour he then gave a defensive masterclass and put Yates entirely onto their playmaker and then 3 centre backs effectively a 550 at times but with the threat of pace on the break from midfield.
Special mention to Sels, faultless and tipped Fernandes shot onto the cross bar, saved a certain goal. Onana, who cost many times Sels fee looked very uncertain and cost them MGW 's goal. Our defence looked solid and disciplined ( unlike theirs) and the midfield MGW, Yates, Anderson Jota and later Dominquez all put an enormous shift in.
Just as a footnote, this win was the icing on a birthday cake for me personally as my first Grand daughter arrived safe and perfect and beautiful ( and 81b 12 ozs) the day before. I've already bought her a Forest baby grow as ( probably) the newest Red.

Great result and performance yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed that.

I love to see Utd lose anytime but it's all the sweeter with Forest beating them in their own back yard.

DTP/ Skeggs, you both slag off Nuno and Cooper respectively, they have both been amazing for our Club, your as bad as each other.

Yeah for sure ginger there is something really special about beating united at OT. I think both cooper and Nuno will go down in history as two historic coaches, wouldn’t it be amazing to combine the cooper atmosphere and the Nuno results - very greedy I know - but what a combo it would be!

Truth or dare time firstly I love Yates effort and commitment to our club but he has no common sense and a distinct lack of ability

To become a top 6 side we need an upgrade in his position wether Sangare or Danilo can fill that void remains to be seen

Also we need a TOP goalkeeper and another 1 possibly two players a striker and a leg back

I have seen every game home and away this season apart from Ipswich and Yates gives away far to many free kicks in dangerous positions and slows play down imo.

Very hard on Yates, he wasn’t his best last night but we are talking about world class players, united aren’t great just now but their players have the highest technical ability. I’m interested to know who you think we might sign that will improve us? Sangare cost 30 odd million and does nothing to influence games - in fact he’s a waste of space in my opinion. At least Yates has an influence on games Sangare has none. Sangare didn’t want to come to forest - he believes he was meant for nether things - it’s the next big issue for forest, fans will want players who are perceived to be an upgrade but the ones won will be willing to play for forest won't be.

I think our squad is about as good as it is going to be for a few seasons now, we have some decent players but they are not close to players that city, Chelsea, Liverpool have. We will umearth the odd gem but in general, we have to accept we will attract a level of player. I think you’re hard on Yates pal, none of our midfielders do any better at influencing the game in my opinion.

Yates plays well we generally get a result, no one can actually put a finger on his value to the team but he definitely as one of.
That short time with Keane improved him 100% pity Roy wasn’t here longer but hopefully he still gets in his ear now and again.

Beautiful. I could leave it at that really. but, credit where credit is due.
Milenkovic, what a rock solid player he was today and has been since he came in. True captain material. Him and Murillo will be the envy of virtually every prem team this season.
Hats off to MGW who was back to his scrappy self today, and CHO's mojo seems to have come back somewhat. Anderson, I really like this kid. Always puts in a shift. Aina was solid today. Jota is such a bulldog for his stature, and it won't be long before we see him on the scoresheet.

Tactically we were spot on.

Special mention has to go Woody, our new premier league top goal scorer in our history.
He his such an assassin with his head, and has to be one of the prems most skilful headers of a ball. Oh and Happy Birthday Chris!

United looked totally lost and dumbstruck after we scored our second and third goal but a wounded dog is the most dangerous type and so it proved when they scored again. Can't stand Fernandes but, give him his dues, he is a great player on his day. Onana is awful and I have always thought so.

Gonna have a voddy and watch those goals again. enjoy fellow Reds!
