Well done Ireland, brilliant performance!

12 Nov 2025 16:06:36
Just like to give a massive shout out to the bugler, for the leeds game. Amazing. Thank all our veterans, (a note to stamer, having watched a ww2 veteran yesterday. Remarked. Was it all worth it) country in a right mess.

Agree8 Disagree1

12 Nov 2025 17:51:10
He was brilliant ? 100% concentration.

12 Nov 2025 18:17:35
Your right Bowie I think he was the best we've had in a long time, (the bugler not the clown in no 10). and apart from the odd disrispful D. CK head it was observed in the manner it was intended for. good point Bowie.

12 Nov 2025 19:03:12
Totally agree Bowie. To watch and listen to an old-timer saying that his Service and the sacrifices made in WW2 'wasn't worth it' due to the current state of our country almost broke my heart. I totally agree with him.

I'm really not sure who/ what is to blame for the current state of the UK and our disclocated 'I'm alright Jack' society in general - the politicians, the faceless civil servants, money, immigration, us apathetic public. Probably a mixture of each. All I know is that at times, like that old-timer I too doubt my own Service and whether, overall, if it was worth it given the end result.

12 Nov 2025 20:23:01
My grandad was in ww2 I use to spend every weekend with him and all school holidays use to tell me some stories but only the good ones you could see he was hiding the horror stories. he died at 92 I remember him saying. that the German pensioners got treated better than the British pensioners that won the war. he said at least the Germans looked after there own.

not like our government remember him telling me he sent his medals back after the war as why he was out there fighting for his country his family at home was struggling to feed themselves 20 years on from his death I wonder what he would think now I'm sure he would have a lot more to say than the veteran that spoke out we will never know what they went through for this country look at it now great Britain long gone Scottish Welsh Irish no were not aloud to sat English country's finished.

12 Nov 2025 22:09:36
Any country that has to contend with mass immigration will lose its identity to a degree
That's not something just unique to the UK though.

13 Nov 2025 01:00:24
I think what's happening with our country is more than a little degree DTP, I was on parliament st yesterday catching a bus to the queen's, I had two men asking me for money, it was only 9 30 am in the morning. You never got that sort of behaviour a few years ago.

You can't walk through the city centre without stepping over the homeless. People need to wake up before it's too late, this country is the laughing stock of Europe and a dumping ground for anyone who the EU don't want.

13 Nov 2025 07:18:09
Thing is Lego the veterans of WW1 and WW2 were fighting in wars that meant something. You were sent into wars that meant nothing other than oil and US domination. That's not a slight on you that's a slight on our weak leaders that are too scared of the Americans and too quick to go to war.

13 Nov 2025 09:16:45
Having juat spent a while in hospital being looked after some wonderful multi racial people who were professional and kind to everyone in their care and unfortunately were abused by a couple of patients who I told them what I thought of them.

My grandad was in the desert and. Was a regular so didn't come home straight away he fought for freedom of speech etc but these people who slap down and humiliate the people trying to help you should be ashamed of themselves and my grandad was a Forest Fan.

13 Nov 2025 09:43:40
A lot had no choice to fight ravers. that's the difference they went because of protecting there families. They didn't sign up for it to be a career.

13 Nov 2025 11:59:55
Lego. It was very worth it and very much appreciated as far as I'm concerned.
Without the men and women who ultimately gave their lives, this country of ours would be much worse off.
What saddens me so much is the people who think it's a good idea to upstage proceedings. Completely worthless in my opinion.
Thank you lego and everyone of your colleagues.

13 Nov 2025 16:10:28
Agree with everything you say Red Vale.

13 Nov 2025 19:24:33
The only operational theatre that I served in with the Army where I truly think that my individual Service made a difference for the better was in Bosnia Herzegovina. Can you believe, 30 years ago, that our primary role was to protect the Muslims over there who were being screwed-over? How times have changed!

Whilst watching/ reading the news nowadays, I sometimes think of those poor unfortunates being 'ethnically-cleansed' and the suffering that I witnessed them going through in the process.

If I was a Muslim in Bosnia at that time - would I have sought refuge in the UK for my family and myself? Damn right I would have. Would you? Just consider that question with regards to legal (not illegal) immigration into this country.

13 Nov 2025 21:08:33
That's all good and well legolas but how many damn countries do they have to come through where there is no war and where they can stay before crossing the Channel to reach ours.

13 Nov 2025 21:53:51
You're totally missing my point Skegs. Compassion. Do you not feel it?

13 Nov 2025 22:28:44
No mate I have no compassion for anyone or anything.

14 Nov 2025 00:22:38
Very good Skegs. Not even your twins?

14 Nov 2025 06:28:18
There old enough and ugly enough to look after themselves now ?.

14 Nov 2025 14:57:09
There are coming here from safe countries like France, Lego. Not unsafe countries.

14 Nov 2025 19:47:39
From Greece to Italy where they first cross the Mediterranean they are not made welcome, so move on
They know from those that arrive in the UK that they get looked after,
Successive government's can't stop it and unless the Eu takes them on and looks after them properly it will continue
France is a huge country and shout prevent them setting up camp near the ports.

12 Nov 2025 09:56:37
REDHOTRED, we got Roy Keane for £47, 000 from Cork and Hutchinson for £37M, that's 37, 000, 000/ 47, 000 = 787

We could have got 787 Roy Keane's for that! Maybe we need to scour the Irish League and lower divisions a tiny bit more.

Or is Hutchinson 787 times as good as Roy Keane? ?.

Agree2 Disagree2

12 Nov 2025 18:53:15
Two brilliant players but I’m a bit biased when it comes Roy, from Cork myself, grew up hanging on the same estate, same secondary school and always had some sort football game going on from 2 lads to 22 lads Those were the days, where’s my DeLorean?

Hey Ed001, would you say slots under pressure?

{Ed001's Note - yes, very much so.}

12 Nov 2025 18:19:44
Interesting read Ed. I saw that the results had dropped off but put that down to European exhaustion, new signings bedding in and perhaps players ageing and getting past their best, like Virgil and Salah. I didn’t realise that things such as tactical incompetence and lack of motivation had made things so dire.

From a Forest point of view I’m very worried that, having been dismantled comprehensively by City, they will be stung into action against us.

{Ed001's Note - Slot wants to play this way, he went back to good football and won 2 so immediately went back to what had failed. Makes no sense, but it seems he is too stubborn to change.}

12 Nov 2025 20:23:09
On a lighter note Ed…… I’ve heard that Liverpool have turned down a massive sponsorship deal with a world famous dog food manufacturers…. apparently having “ Win A lot “ across their shirts wouldn’t have gone down well with the fans atm ……. ??.

11 Nov 2025 20:16:03
Forgot we've got another boost in December Cuiabana joins us as the Brazilian season ends.

Agree3 Disagree0

11 Nov 2025 20:19:56
When in December pal? Let’s hope he’s better than the last Brazilian savour who arrived in December ….

11 Nov 2025 21:22:26
I think he comes back when the window opens, so he might get a break after their season ands, briefly. We do need another FB though (if he isn't more of a winger).

He looks a bit like a winger from the clips and games at World Club Cup. We have Ndoye who looks like a FB to me as well.

11 Nov 2025 21:22:46
He's only 22 2 star and scores and assists
Scarpa was 29 and missed out
Left back a real problem area for us so a welcome addition atm.

11 Nov 2025 22:07:03
Scarpa ……that was him! I thought he arrived mid December - i. Ould be wrong though.

11 Nov 2025 22:30:26
I wouldn't say ndoye looks like a full back at all tbh cyclist.

12 Nov 2025 06:19:18
Ndoye would make a good right back and murillo in left back position jobs a good un.

12 Nov 2025 07:17:24
I guess I should have said Ndoye looks a bit like a wing back to me.

12 Nov 2025 07:18:35
Murillo reminds me of Paulo Maldini. Maldini started off as a CB then moved to LB and WB but moved back to CB when he slowed down and played into his 40s I think.

12 Nov 2025 07:23:54
Skeggs your a bad lad but agree with 1/ 2 of that ?.

12 Nov 2025 08:10:49
What do you mean jester. ? murillo started is youth career off as a left back. I think when he moves on and he gets even better that's where he will play ?.

12 Nov 2025 08:59:59
Murrilo a left back! ???.

12 Nov 2025 09:45:16
Stick Murillo up front. He'd probably score more than our strikers.

12 Nov 2025 17:26:30
That's the 1/ 2 I agree with he's wasted has a CB.

12 Nov 2025 18:17:42
I definitely agree jester.

12 Nov 2025 18:44:05
Why don't we let Murillo take the free kicks on the edge of the box his left foot looks as good as Pearces let him have a wack.

12 Nov 2025 19:16:46
Not a bad call JS. I think we've only scored from a free kick once in two seasons.

11 Nov 2025 19:51:19
Forests answer to Man Utd. and Chelsea re Elliott Anderson needs to be three simple words, not for sale. He is our best player and very close to been Englands. He stands out in every game, never panics no matter what the situation, his passing is superb, he always wants the ball and is happy.

getting forward or playing deep. We need is quality to get us back up the table. Please Mr. M don't let him go he is worth so much more to Forest than anything been quoted. U REDS.

11 Nov 2025 20:01:39
United can P#%s right off!

11 Nov 2025 20:18:59
Three letters P S R.

11 Nov 2025 20:37:01
He will be sold for good money. that's football and you can't blame the lad for wanting to better himself I mean. at the minute why would you want to stay at forest it's a mess at the minute.

11 Nov 2025 20:59:21
And man united are in a really challenging position? ???.

11 Nov 2025 21:08:28
They are in a more challenging position than we are as they are sitting in joint 5th at the minute and unbeaten in the last 5 matches.

11 Nov 2025 21:14:52
Man utd can't afford him end of, especially in January, every game he starts for England then up goes his price, they believe they can get him for 65 million, dream on as others are more than interested.

11 Nov 2025 21:38:04
He will go that' the only thing edu is good at selling players for peanuts.

11 Nov 2025 21:39:10
They can't affor £100M plus in January unless they sell. They have PSR issues.

11 Nov 2025 21:41:48
They won't finish in champions league position
Like I say they can't afford him in January as they have spent up for the season and only chance they have of raking in any money from transfers is In the summer
No one wants to buy their players due to the wages they are on
Anderson will always move on as will others, that's football, but we hold all the aces.

11 Nov 2025 21:52:28
Skeggs who has edu sold?
Please tell us.

11 Nov 2025 21:53:52
Marinakis will not allow him to leave in January.

He is on a long contract and is money in the bank.

When he does go, eventually, he will cost a fortune.

A lot of the media are Man U biased. Just stirring it up.

12 Nov 2025 06:21:29
Everyone has a price and when your dealing with edu chuck a pkt of peanuts in for the monkey. you will get a bargain ??.

12 Nov 2025 07:21:18
I've just offered Edu a tenner for his Ferarri. Hopefully Jay is right for a change. ??.

12 Nov 2025 07:59:07
I'm always right cyclist but you have no chance you forgot the bag of peanuts ??.

12 Nov 2025 09:47:05
OK, a tenner, packet of peanuts and a framed copy of my profile pic of Nuno getting the red card off Marinakis.

11 Nov 2025 12:14:03
Imo Ola Aina should be prevented from going to AFCON in December if he had recovered from the injury he got when last on international duty

Your thoughts fellow reds as he could be a very important player for us this season.

Agree4 Disagree0

11 Nov 2025 14:24:48
Think if they call him up there's nothing we can do to stop it unfortunately.

11 Nov 2025 14:29:31
He'll be fit just in time to play in the AFCONS and then he'll get injured while on duty.

11 Nov 2025 16:13:13
He's 50% of the reason we are conceding and 50% of the reason we are not creating. Magnificent player. Most talented player on the books.
Sod AFCON, we pay his wages. Mickey Mouse competition.

11 Nov 2025 16:22:57
He will have to get match fit, I'd let him go to Afcon, last thing we need is a grumpy Aina at training.

11 Nov 2025 17:46:01
If you buy african players that's the problem, agree with your sentiments but there's not much you can do if the player wants to go.

11 Nov 2025 18:00:48
I agree mate.
He could get injured again.

11 Nov 2025 18:30:31
I posted the same thing on Aina last week, he is a forest player and forest pay his wages! Should he go it's highly likely we will not see him in a forest shirt this season. A season's wages for NOTHING.

11 Nov 2025 18:31:04
Make him earn his money forest pay him. keep him from going and then bench him cause hrs rubbish.

11 Nov 2025 21:01:08
The rules state if he's picked then we can't stop him that goes for all our international players.

11 Nov 2025 21:56:31
Clubs sometimes pretend players are injured. Easy to do if he's been out for months but the club will probably let the player have the final say.

12 Nov 2025 18:26:31
I’d be surprised if Aina didn’t have a clause in his contract that he be allowed to be given time away to play internationally. So preventing him going to AFCON becomes unenforceable.
Besides, personally, I wouldn’t want to play for any club that forbids playing for my country.

Also, I believe AFCON pay clubs reimbursement to cover absences of players taking part in the tournament. I understand the payments are commensurate with how many players from the club are affected, how long they are away etc.

12 Nov 2025 19:24:41
A lot of clubs do a deal with the player and say, would you skip friendlies or whatever. I think it's against FIFA and FA rules to "forbid" them, but it's obviously more complicated than that. Players want their place or a new deal in future etc. so it's hard if a club puts pressure on them.

OK, back to reality. Some things go far beyond football. I've now raised £3,169 for my homeless Veteran client who was sleeping in his car when I first met him.

He now has a council flat and a sofa, cooker, fridge/ freezer and washing machine on order. I've also sorted payment for his flat to be carpeted.

I know many on here are now retired and have time on their hands, as I do. Try to give some of that time to help others in need my fellow Reds.

Agree8 Disagree2

11 Nov 2025 01:00:25
I raise my hat to you legolas, we could do with you up here in Nottinghamshire. All our council do is build flats for students, which as I'm sure you are aware they can't fill. Bloody disgusting.

11 Nov 2025 07:49:44
Thanks Lego. Too many people have been left behind.

It's similar near to me. Yet another enormous block of flats has gone up, called Centre Court. So much money for it there is literally one of those tennis courts with perspex around it in the middle for students and "young professionals". Literally no new housing for veterans returning from service, people made redundant or mentally ill people waiting on treatment waiting lists with no family able to help them.

Nottm Council are a bunch of grifters, So sad.

11 Nov 2025 10:21:51
Shocking that this guy has had to endure this?
After all his Service.
I'm absolutely appalled mate.

11 Nov 2025 10:23:16
And Big Up to you Sir Lego Las!

11 Nov 2025 16:46:47
It's great what your doing Legolas ?, it's just a shame that our Governments are willing to help anyone except our own Citizens!,. In Nottingham we have students, council houses sold in the 70s are now multi occupancy homes, it's a transient community's with no roots, and no respect for there neighbours, I love Nottingham but ain't blind to the decay, come down Mansfield Road to the centre, all the shops are vape, vape, barbers, take away, barbers, vape, take away all in my opinion "Dodgy".

11 Nov 2025 17:01:44
WOW Sir Lego, very well done my friend! I'm not only a Red Dog, but also ex Army, so thank you for taking the time to do this. I'm one of the lucky ones, I came home from doing service, found a job and now nursing myself back to health after cancer of the lung.

If I can help in any way, please do give me a shout.

11 Nov 2025 17:27:08
Well done Lego. If everyone was like you the world would be a much better place mate! ??????.

11 Nov 2025 18:13:36
Well done Lego.
Amazing work matey ❤️❤️.

11 Nov 2025 22:53:44
Thanks for all of your kind replies chaps. It is, in my opinion, a national disgrace that anyone should be homeless nowadays - let alone those who have put their lives at risk serving this country. The only (former) MP who I think really cares about this issue is Johnny Mercer. I've been in touch with Johnny recently. Watch this space!

Keeff - many thanks for your kind offer of help, but I won't be asking you join me on my next charity mountain climb with your lung mate! (Sorry, Squaddie-humour which I know you'll recognise). I hope you're bearing-up and recovering well mate. Who did you serve with Keeff?

12 Nov 2025 08:40:04
Oh I might get up that mountain, determination is the key! I was RCT 2 Div Bunda in Germany and then a couple of places I shouldn't mention lol
Did some tours with some very special people, taught me a lot really. Some of my former buddies came home in bad ways, so I get the idea about what you do mate!

12 Nov 2025 18:29:55
Lego, I m trying to ignore the 2 thumbs down appended to your worthy post by some moronic half wit (s).
Sometimes I despair mate ……….

12 Nov 2025 22:18:33
Some people don't like our past and what my dad and grandad, plus all your families fought for stokey, they have no respect.

10 Nov 2025 20:39:27
Pleased for Hutchinson and glad to see him have an impact on the game, he seems an honest professional. However let me put things into perspective, we paid £37M for him (that's 37 x Trevor Francis! ) so I would expect him to have an impact on games both at home and away.

When he's done what he did on Sunday in 10 games and he gets us out of the bottom two I'll start raving about him on here and start drawing comparisons with some of the great wingers we've had in the past. Fair comment?

Agree3 Disagree2

10 Nov 2025 22:55:19
Not really a pint of beer was about 40p in 1979.

And inflation in football since then has been higher.

I thought he did well when he came on against Sunderland. He needs and now surely deserves game time. that's the only way he is going to kick on. I am sure he will be in the next European squad after the group stages. So till then I am hoping he gets plenty of minutes in the league. The other wingers can play against Malmo etc.

At last. One of our summer signings becoming worthwile.

If Luis can get his fitness sorted he will undoubtedly be an asset going forward. Think Jesus will come good to.

All in all with Aina to come back and the left back from Brazil coming in after xmas, we should kick on and put any worries about relegation behind us in the not too distant.

11 Nov 2025 16:20:26
Compering players from the past is subjective, I don't begrudge modern players making as much as they can but they have got to put the effort in on the pitch;,. McAtee, Bakwa, Kalimuendo and Hutchinson will make over 15 million over there contracts, and if advised wisely will have a very comfortable life, not like in Francis's time having to get a job as a postman like Webb, Keeping these young players engaged and motivated since COVID, and the extra subs in games these days, players are trained all week for if there lucky 30 minutes game time!, and there really seems to be more injuries to players than in the past?.

10 Nov 2025 19:17:04
Others have summed-up the game perfectly - particularly Chim who in my eyes has become the new Creepy on this site with regards to his perceptive and objective post-match reports. Well done mate.

I do, however, want to comment on Hutchinson. No, he isn't the next Ronaldo Skegs, I agree. But I think he adds something that Forest haven't had for a long time. Just look at his technique. Jinky, shoulder drops, dribbling with both feet, then really fast pace over 10-20m to outpace his man and put in a good cross. Does that not remind you of a certain Scottish winger that we had in the past?!

A totally different style of play from Elanga, but equally as effective IMO. Shame he was a victim of our previous politics at Forest but I'd start him every game in the PL.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Nov 2025 20:18:54
I haven't said he's a bad player and I think he was OK at Ipswich all I'm saying let's give him 90 mins against a good side and let's see how he does. he has a bit of a way to go to prove he's worth the 37 million pound edu spent on him hopefully he will prove he's worth it.

10 Nov 2025 20:28:03
I agree, why pay so much money for the lad and keep him on the bench, he will only get better by playing and can't play in europa so give him the chance in the prem and give him a some games to find a bit if consistency, he is more used to the prem than some of the other buys.

10 Nov 2025 23:14:27
I agree that was a big fee we paid for the guy. However, I'm going to stick my head on the block and predict that Hutchinson will be a big part of the new-dawn for us.

Some of you may now agree with my previous posts months ago that us letting Elanga go was lunacy. However, I hope Hutchinson will make some amends for that very poor decision.

Just a couple of tactical points from yesterday comrades, having re watched the game on Forest TV away from the emotion on the day.
Firstly, I loved SD's use of subs to change the course of a game. No penny packets and early with 30 plus injury time to work in. The managerial experience to read the game, see the flagging players and introduce 3 sets of fresh legs. At a decisive stage, a bit like Wellington at Waterloo ordering the Brigade of Guards to stand up from where they'd been hiding in a tall cornfield and fire a decisive mass volley into the advancing Imperial Guard.
"Now, Maitland ( the Commander) now's your time". Dyche is not a dithering coach and will never die wondering.
Secondly, he's got them all working hard. Particularly players like Ndoye who always seemed a bit idle under Ange. He covered young Savona, likewise Dominquez on the other side, tucking in, so out of possession we were 4 5, 1, difficult to break the lines, like Nuno at his best.

Thirdly, I was surprised there wasn't a ferocious pressing game when Leeds played out from the back, a Farke obsession. Brighton destroyed them doing that last week and could have been 4 nil up at half time ( they won 3 nil in the end). Perhaps SD recognised ( especially with no wholesale team lineup changes from Graz, injuries etc) they should eschew the full on press and save energy sitting back a bit. Forest certainly got stronger as the game went on. Malenkovic and Murillo looked much more comfortable again. Sels didn't have much to do overall ( and, come on guys, their goal wasn't his fault. The shot was well out of his reach. Who do some of you think he is, Inspector Gadget? ?
So, a long way to go. Liverpool next but before then, 2 weeks intensive coaching with a big chunk of the squad and a chance to get some injured players back in action ( Luiz, Wood, CHO etc) COYR!

Might as well start Taiwo against his old club. Players always score against their old club is a cliché, but is annoyingly true against our old players.

I would use Ndoye against Liverpool, he might manage to set up a goal or score but most of all he is good at tracking back, works hard and almost looks like a FB playing as a winger at times.

Let’s hope he scores an “avalanche “ of goals! He’ll need some support and “alp” along the way though. ??.
