ED001 that shappy, the man utd fan. I remember going on there site couple of times as I wanted to leave my condolences on bobby Charlton on his passing bless him. One of our all time best along with Jack his brother.
the laddie does do some brilliant and understanding posts on that site. ? but our lot would get bored. Not enough bickering ? nah but seriously, very good. must be good for ya getting a rest from you having to think another out.
{Ed001's Note - except that we have to read so much!}
20 Jan 2026 22:05:55
On that note edd is this the most bitchy site you have?
I find it hard to believe there's a worse one?
{Ed001's Note - defo the bitchiest.}
20 Jan 2026 23:49:38
That's not a compliment is it Ed?
{Ed001's Note - it really depends on how you view it, but it certainly wasn't intended as one!}
20 Jan 2026 23:49:43
Surprised there's a few teams supporters who don't use there site to post?, Newcastle, man city, Leicester, direby, before we play a team always check a site for there supporters views on how they feel in playing us, and the sites who do post all want that elusive Striker.
21 Jan 2026 08:08:55
Hi Ed, why not a new page to go with rumours and banter called Forest vitriol, you could decide who posts there and let the banter site be for just that. ?.
{Ed001's Note - so basically put everything on that one new page then!}
21 Jan 2026 09:02:19
Possibly, but there are some reasoned and reasonable witty posters too.
21 Jan 2026 18:22:00
Just brilliant Oakham and Ed! ???????.

20 Jan 2026 00:41:06
Brighton's brought two young Greek players, you would think if Brighton's scouts are interested, and they are in Mr Marinakis sphere of interest, you would think he would get Edu to have a proper look at these players.
20 Jan 2026 08:26:33
That was some goal though ??.
20 Jan 2026 08:49:22
It was a brilliant goal. You don't save those.
20 Jan 2026 10:05:35
Ridiculous penalty decision.
20 Jan 2026 11:24:07
I wonder if it was discussed about him coming to Forest instead of Brighton?, seems Edu's overseeing of Mr Marinakis clubs, so far he has a knack of letting players leave who show any promise!.
20 Jan 2026 15:08:41
Edu only deals with agents, he’s not hands on with scouting.
CARLO.

20 Jan 2026 18:16:52
My team is the same as yours but just the Forest squad. Not the God squad.
20 Jan 2026 23:54:33
Well if Edu's in the Olympiacos stadium and there's a buzz about a special player going to Brighton, if I was him I would take an interest and have a word with the players agent?.

Good article from Ian Ladyman. Identifies for the issues with Dycheball and why we are heading for the trap door. One dimensional football - impossible to argue with his observations.

Yes Gold stars just watch it unfold. Dino ball is in full cry, yet certain folk think he's wonderful. This man will set us back years if we don't get rid. A wasted season this year will double down every year until he's sacked.
20 Jan 2026 08:30:50
I'm not a great Dyche fan but he is our coach till further notice and he will try to get us up the table to suggest that he is purposely and his lack of credibility will get us demotion is a bit rich, He has come in to do a job whether he is good enough or successful is out of our hands just get behind him till he moves on, and Mr M will move him on that's a given because we are one of those clubs who have the backing of a owner who can't help interfering and its that fact that could put us down eventually.
20 Jan 2026 08:58:32
Well put mate.
20 Jan 2026 11:01:31
Gold stars, please pardon my ignorance, but who is Ian Ladyman and where can I find his article to read?
When I first saw the surname I thought he was just something a bit exotic from Thailand mate……??????.
20 Jan 2026 11:22:28
Read the article, intelligently, respectfully and well written, Ladyman (who’s a Forest fan by the way ) points out the facts that highlight the reasons why we find ourselves in deep trouble and unable to score goals.
20 Jan 2026 13:36:49
I'm not sure what dyche ball is, but if it exists it worked against Liverpool spurs and to a certain extent against Arsenal. So is it really that bad. Just wondering.
20 Jan 2026 13:58:21
Yes I’m sure it’s all those things Gold Star. I’m just asking where I can find it to read it mate?
20 Jan 2026 15:11:01
This nonsense about long ball tactics by SD just does not fit. It didn’t happen against Arsenal. On the contrary instead of going 5 at the back he brought on attacking players. They did not sit back but continued to go forward.
There have been many instances where playing out grom the back ( the corollary to a long ball ) can get players into trouble.
Do people consider that better than a goal keeper sending a ball deep into the opposing half or a defender clearing their lines. There is a place for both of course. I do not see evidence that SD encourages or discourages either.
20 Jan 2026 16:00:15
Great post Nuno. I don’t know what so called Dyche ball is either mate. I’ve posted earlier if any of the “usual suspects “ can tell.
Look, I’m not saying we are 1970s Brazil or Cruyf s Holland or Ferguson s Man Utd. But we are not Crazy Gang Wimbledon or Pulis’s Stoke City ( due to my locale I saw a lot of that and it was a grim old watch I can tell you).
We are somewhere in between. Pragmatic, disciplined, organised ( on a good day) with considerable attacking flair at times ( Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Leeds ).
I can only think that the terms “ Dyche ball” and long ball lumpers are the product of flabby thinking left over from SD’s Burnley and Everton days. He has much better players and resources now at Forest and once he’s turned around the ?show he inherited, got a foundation of safety and had a bit longer than bloody 3 months we will see some very good football, like we are seeing in patches atm.
20 Jan 2026 17:16:20
It's all they've got nono.
20 Jan 2026 19:04:59
To be fair i want to see Dyche succeed, especially due to having Stone and Woan on the sidelines, just find it frustrating not playing to our forwards strengths at times. But all in all he's settled the ship, a few tweaks in this transfer window and i think we'll be in for a lot better second half of the season.
Particularly tricky away tie on Thursday and if we want to progress a point at least is needed. ?.
20 Jan 2026 19:50:12
Winter that's nothing to do with dyche bud? He's just putting a strategy out. How many balls do we see wasted final 3rd? Be it cross, through the middle? Corners? Set pieces? Skegs/ balloons selling hats?
20 Jan 2026 19:53:51
Good and thoughtful post RedRobin……??.
20 Jan 2026 20:20:06
Come on Bowie, at times some of the football is a little agricultural, but if we're winning i don't care. ?.
20 Jan 2026 20:37:15

20 Jan 2026 21:47:40
New York Times stoked. When the NEP was still an independent news paper he was the reds correspondent- late 80’s and 90’s I think. He went to one of the big uk papers after that. Good journalist with good football knowledge.
20 Jan 2026 22:01:08
That rubbish show he inherited stokey was mostly the team that got us into Europe last season ? followed by 5 or 6 signings that cost over 200 million so wouldn't exactly call it a rubbish show inheritance. A good manager would sort this team out maybe not good enough for Europe but definitely a top 10. and I still can't work out dyche tactics and obviously the players are struggling with it to.
20 Jan 2026 22:32:12
Not very often I agree with you skeggs, but can't argue with that tbh.
20 Jan 2026 23:28:49
When we get good results against the "Big" teams, it might be down to having less possession, and muscle memory kicks in and how we played under Nuno.

Silk isn't he the same age as DTP? ?.
20 Jan 2026 11:32:51

20 Jan 2026 17:07:56
When did I state I was fascinated by your age? Are you TACO in disguise, DTP? He personally attacks people that say things he doesn't like. Like a big baby. All I said was I didn't know how old you are. 69 or 9?
20 Jan 2026 18:19:34
You said the other day you was 79 14 years ago. When I went to school that equaled 93. Do you need a calculator as well a spell checker?

19 Jan 2026 13:02:13
If we sign Luca we need to play Jesus with him and play 2 wingers who put the ball into the box at 6’7’ he may win a few in the air.

19 Jan 2026 14:30:36
We used to have a 6'7 goalie Pantillion who couldn't catch any crosses, height and what you expect them to do, don't always pan out.
19 Jan 2026 15:04:01
Pisa are said to be interested in signing him too! ?.
19 Jan 2026 17:21:37
According to a report from Italy (see rumours) he has turned down Pisa and a Saudi team and said yes to Forest.
19 Jan 2026 18:08:40
Very good Ripley! ???? I’m leaning towards signing him ….
19 Jan 2026 18:19:22

They didn't have a pappa johns there.
19 Jan 2026 21:05:23
My fear is if we sign him then long ball will get worse
He's not a goalscorer abd we don't have midfielders that score either, so could end up being detrimental, just my opinion.
20 Jan 2026 10:41:08
Blimey, can't even spell Pizza properly!
20 Jan 2026 11:24:03
So, let me get this straight DTP.
We apparently put crosses into the box which Jesus can’t reach ( even though he has scored 3 or 4 with his head) so, in the absence of Woody, we are looking to sign a big striker on loan to address this problem?
But you are still moaning that it may lead to long balls? Which we don’t do much anyway?
Are you never happy?
20 Jan 2026 14:14:59
I’ve just re watched the entire Arsenal game on Forest TV. Honestly, DTP and Larry and friends I’m not seeing what you are seeing? We played some lovely passing zippy football ( when we could get the ball off the best team in Europe) and we played a couple of hoofs when under pressure in and around our penalty area ( as did Arsenal). I accept that Sels mostly kicks long because he’s not a ball playing goalkeeper but even their keeper ( who is) put a couple of long diagonals straight into touch. Even Rice put a couple over the top straight through to Sels.
I agree we have licence to mix it up and be pragmatic on occasion but I still don’t see the picture you paint, genuinely.
Is this fake news on your part to push the obsessive anti Dyche agenda?
I’d invite anyone on here to watch the game again and tell me I’m wrong. Also, explain to me how so called Dyche ball is any different to Nuno ball at its best or is any different from Clough ball? Defensive solidarity and counter attack.
Have a re run of some of Cloughies games and tell me I’m wrong?
20 Jan 2026 20:44:05
Stokey your not wrong on the arsenal game and spurs, Liverpool and Leeds and city games
But against wolves, Everton twice, west ham, Wrexham, Brighton and Fulham, we pumped aimless ball's up to jesus, just being honest.
20 Jan 2026 21:50:11
Fair enough DTP. We are definitely inconsistent. Perhaps with a pre season ( and a very few of SD s preferred signings) he can iron out the ups and downs and impose a recognised style of play.
As I’ve said, the squad probably don’t know if they are coming or going with SD their 3 rd managers in half a season.
It’s probably a major factor in my opinion that at this point in our project we need stability from which will, hopefully, flow consistently. Or steadying the ship as the expression goes.
21 Jan 2026 08:42:12
He won't be here next season stokey.
21 Jan 2026 18:26:57

Luca at 6’7” and we’ll still struggle to pick him out.
19 Jan 2026 12:23:43
I hope he performs better. At 6'7", he should be able to score some with his head and potentially utilise Jesus for an extra height advantage by lifting him like a ballerina. ?????.
19 Jan 2026 12:27:16
The Italian lad isn't exactly prolific but he's still at a good age and will hopefully adapt to the league and probably suit Dyches tactics a little better than what we have atm. He's definitely closer to a diplodocus than Jesus is. ??.

You could almost hear the betting syndicates in Asia groan when that penalty was saved, hope there's no serious repercussions for the player.
18 Jan 2026 21:51:03
Never seen anything like the walk off, fair play though with the time spent off it clearly got into Diaz's head??.
19 Jan 2026 10:33:38
The ref should've stopped the match and gave Morocco a 3-0 win. Senegal should be stripped of the title and banned from the next tournament. There is no excuse for the coach/ manager taking the players off the pitch. Whether it be dodgy officiating, racism or anything.
19 Jan 2026 12:20:15
Nah milkman, if you had watched all of Moroccos matches you would have seen the clear bias in their favour, I'd actually say the semi final ref was even worse than last nights. In the build up to the game the Senegalise were treated awfully, no security, second rate hotel, training facilities were Sunday league at best and their ticket allocation was a complete joke.
I thought Mane last night was a credit to African football playing the peace maker and getting them back on the pitch.
All in all fifa needs to sort these refs out, can see there being more trouble in the world cup otherwise, the heat and conditions on top of farcical VAR and referees can only end badly. ?.
19 Jan 2026 15:43:09
You're right, Robin, I didn't watch any of it but there is never an excuse for the coach to take the players.
19 Jan 2026 19:58:39
If you get chance check out the ball boys and flag bearers nicking Mendys towels, there's even a point where their 2nd keeper gets tackled to the ground by a group of ball boys whist trying to protect a towel. Considering the torrential rain the hosts were playing dirty throughout and 100% got what they deserved, absolutely nothing??.
18 Jan 2026 20:49:45

18 Jan 2026 21:40:18
He won't make premier level and its abit of pay back for the years we've put in in terms of money
He'll get to play and have the biggest contract he's ever seen which is great
Five more years till we see academy players of premier standard at forest coming through
If they aren't ready at 18 they never will be
Not being nasty, just telling it as it is.
18 Jan 2026 22:25:04
Rubbish DTP. Just because players aren't ready at 18 doesn't mean they will never make it in the PL. I think 20/ 21 year olds are the ideal candidates to be introduced slowly to any first team training. Then, I'd say, if they impress in training they should be given a chance for a half in PL football.
Of course it's a gamble. However, look how many 'gambles' on giving our academy players the chance to shine have proved to be the correct decision in the past.
18 Jan 2026 22:47:27
It's not rubbish lego.
18 Jan 2026 22:56:02
When dud the last premier league player come through our academy then lego?
I know who the two are and they are the only ones and they where playing fir us in the championship once they where 18 or 19
There is nothing right now in our academy that will save us money and be premier quality, it will come through, but not overnight.
18 Jan 2026 23:18:32
You've got to admit there's exceptions, Stan Collymore released by Wolves academy then gets found by Palace, I know it's rear, but having a buy back clause is something man city and villa do, some players just need to grow and develop.
19 Jan 2026 00:09:31
Well, you've got me onto a rather passionate issue of mine regarding our Academy DTP. Generally regarded as one of the best Academies out there to develop youth talent it has become a side-show at our club.
I totally disagree with you DTP - I think if the will and the training support is there we could take some of these Academy players up to the next level. I find it sad that, as a club, Forest seem to ignore this obvious route of nurturing our own home-grown talent at a fraction of the cost of buying new players.
19 Jan 2026 08:33:21
It's not become a sideshow lego, it was geared up for the championship and its moving in the right direction now we are in the premier league and the teams there are playing at a higher level
We are attracting some of the best 9, to 11 year old out there now, but it doesn't happen over night.
19 Jan 2026 10:32:26
Ian Wright and Jamie Vardy arrived late into the game DTP?
19 Jan 2026 11:09:45
Ahmedhovic was never given a chance with us and he's gone to Feyenoord for just over £20 million including add ons.
19 Jan 2026 11:14:38
I know rogie, but mostly exceptions mate
Once they get to 21 and have never been near the first team squad, they have to be moved on to make way for the younger ones coming through.
19 Jan 2026 13:19:11
I’m guessing your 2 Academy graduates playing in the Premiership are Johnno and Yatesy DTP.
Harry Kane, released by Arsenal Academy then to Spurs, learnt his trade in the lower Divisions … the rest is history.
John Robertson didn’t impress in our Academy, fitness issues, then Cloughie arrived in 1975 when Robbo was 22…… again, the rest is the stuff of legend
My own favourite late developer was Tony Book. Played non league until he was 31 then captained Man City aged 33 in their glory years ( before their financial cheating era).
For every Wayne Rooney or Trevor Francis there’s an Academy also ran made good ….
19 Jan 2026 13:59:42
Gary Birtles? Long Eaton Utd rather than Academy….
19 Jan 2026 14:34:28
Yeh Rogie, what have the Romans ever done for us? ????.
19 Jan 2026 14:46:20
We had reserve sides in those days when they could play against and with seasoned pros
Your missing the point
There is nothing wrong with the academy, we've just stepped up a level and it will take time.

Nottingham Forest rejected
Shaun Wright-Phillips, the adoptive brother of Mark Wright (and son of Ian Wright), as a youngster.
Reason for Rejection: Forest deemed him too small, at 5 feet 6 inches, and not good enough to make the grade.
Outcome: After being released at age 17, he went on to have a successful career with Manchester City, Chelsea, and England.
19 Jan 2026 17:33:11
Can't help thinking the right staff at the Academy will find the players and bring them on, can't help remembering Paul Harts time at Forest, and the players he discovered.
19 Jan 2026 18:46:56
If Legolas had his way, Dale Taylor would have been leading our line this season despite me telling him he's bang average.
Managed 2 goals for Blackpool this season. Been injured a while but still made plenty of appearances.
19 Jan 2026 19:59:10
Well at you least you understand Fred
Always exceptions, but even the ones we've sold for bigs bucks, most have failed barring cash and jonno
Burke
Appiah
Brereton
Worrall
All I'm saying is that players have to be knocking on the first team well before they are 21.
19 Jan 2026 22:43:38
Fred - that's disingenuous about Taylor to say the least. I've been following this young man's progress for many years now. He's been very unlucky with injuries. However, given the right supply, I've seen enough of this guy as both a kid and a senior to know Taylor is a natural goal-scorer. How many of those do we have in the Forest first team at the moment?
Personally, I'd get him back and get him fit again. Then get him on the grass training with the 1st team and let SD cast his eye over him. I think the guy i'd a potential hidden-gem.
19 Jan 2026 23:18:14

18 Jan 2026 19:48:18
I've been going on for a long time now on our technical abilities. I really really think our coaching isn't up to standard. Reds please hear me out. We all know we have players here that can bring the finish product. But for me just do not entertain. Don't get me wrong here, I still think we have 5ft nothing up front to aim at.
Our set pieces pathetic, corners etc. Just my opinion. But I always respect those in the game that see those weaknesses.
Winger was a master at it. This lot for me just ain't got the mental strength to be confident on taking the onion bag on.

Wenger sorry dam pred text.
18 Jan 2026 20:00:39
It's annoying Bowie that two england Internationals can't take a set piece?
MGW took them for two seasons without success and now Anderson doing the same for a season and a half, he wastes every corner and that's alot.
18 Jan 2026 20:12:26
Wasn't long ago dtp we had the same thing with defending set pieces. Think we've done ok with that now. Again I remember wenger always got mental help etc with players. Also brilliant on keeping them down to earth like clough. Just frustrated on our approach bud. Just hurts.
18 Jan 2026 20:27:22
Think our only height is milenkovic and can't remember the last time he scored.
18 Jan 2026 21:08:09
Absolutely Bowie and yesterday milenkovic and murillo did what not many defensive partners do and kept arsenal out from set pieces
Last player we had that could take a set piece was Henri lansbury only douglas luiz is capable in this squad.
18 Jan 2026 21:17:39
Lucca the robot deal agreed at 6 foot 7, but he has doubts about joining us?
That would give a presence?
But is he any good?
And if he has doubts then do we want that?
18 Jan 2026 22:40:54
Well dtp there were doubts over wood on his arrival.
18 Jan 2026 22:58:56
No i mean the player has doubts about joining us.
18 Jan 2026 23:22:36
The defensive unit from last season are back together and hope for more clean sheets, just solve? the scoring problem.
19 Jan 2026 11:23:34
I agree, DTP. If he has any doubts about signing for us then move on to other players. We should only want players that want to join us.
18 Jan 2026 17:13:45
If and when we lose Elliot Anderson we should move heaven and earth to get James Garner to replace him excellent player with a Forest connection.

18 Jan 2026 17:28:57
I think Garner is out of contract in the summer. So we could be quids in if we can get £70-80 million for Ando and replace him with a freebie then its good business.
18 Jan 2026 17:47:12
He'll be available for nowt in the summer.
18 Jan 2026 18:12:47
Anderson will go for over that figure and if he has a good world cup it'll be a bidding war, that's why forest will not entertain any bids this window.
18 Jan 2026 19:15:43
Forest should offload MGW, he's not the same since pep got into his head before the cup semi final, then we had the spurs fiasco. I'm afraid it was too much for the lad, I know he's got killer pass in him and I would love him to play simple football instead of the tippy tappy rubbish he's always trying, it's not fair on his team mates seeing a break develop only for him to loose the ball and turn attack into defence.
18 Jan 2026 19:52:09
MGW won't be going anywhere especially in this window, nor Anderson or murillo or dyche
The summer will be where decisions are made.
18 Jan 2026 19:53:10
Totally agree vale and been saying it for some time.
18 Jan 2026 20:10:49
Your right Vale MGW just doesn’t seem the player he was. Sad really because he was superb for us.
18 Jan 2026 20:55:31
After yesterday's performance against the champions elect, why are we talking about selling one of our best players?
Remember MGW like the rest of the squad have had 3 coaches so far this season to adapt to
Just saying,
No posters where harmed during this post anyone affected should go for a ly down in a dark room ???.
18 Jan 2026 22:33:26
As your Mrs gone out for the night dtp. or have you took a line off the cisten ??.
19 Jan 2026 01:39:35
I think MGW was our weakest link on Saturday. Granted jesus wasn't far behind but the lad covered acres of ground but no end result, humping high balls into the box isn't the answer for him. He needs a wood type of player who he can feed off or dyche has to change tactics and do what Sunderland did at the weekend and cross the ball in along the ground, they did that for one of their goals, it caught the oppositions defence flat footed.
We can't just right players off the coaches have to have a plan B and adapt accordingly.
19 Jan 2026 17:52:31
GMW just needs a coach who doesn't want to lump it into the box from the flanks or bypassing the midfield. He isn't a winger or defender.
19 Jan 2026 17:53:30
But MGW should not be a main free kick taker based on the low return of assists/ goals.
19 Jan 2026 20:03:45
Neither should Anderson cyclist
Come the summer one needs to go for the benefit of the team and get a midfielder that can score and assit from set pieces.
18 Jan 2026 16:43:35
A great fighting draw for the reds yesterday and a marker in the sand. Demonstrating the togetherness of the squad.
There is a dilemma for SD this week with the European game. Does he play the‘ First half Wrexham side ‘ or the whole match Arsenal. Some might day it’s obvious however you don’t want to wear your first team out and then fluff the Brentford game.
MGW could do with his batteries recharging.
I would keep Sels and of course Aina and bring in Savona. Maybe the Serbinator and Cunha. Midfield Yates for a half with his and Luiz guidance alongside McAtee. Then Bakma Ndoye with Jesus.
It’s a difficult one and a good banter thread.

We've got 6 games to play in 21 days
Jesus will have to be rested as our only available striker
I think aina and Williams plus MGW abd Anderson need resting and focus on brentford
Goalkeepers don't really need resting cuhna and Hutchinson can't play as not in the squad
I think he'll go
Sels
Savona
Milenkovic
Murillo
Aina
Yates
Luiz
Macatee
Bakwa
Ndoye
Jesus but not for 90 mins.
18 Jan 2026 18:20:15
It’s a tough one Nuno because I don’t know much about Braga except they are 5th in the Portuguese League way off in points to the top 2. They are playing a team 2nd bottom as I type this.
They are above us in the Europa having won 4 drawn 1 and lost 1.
Unlike SD who will have them scouted they’re a mystery to me so I wouldn’t know what team to put out mate.
18 Jan 2026 18:41:10
Didn’t we play them in pre season last year or recently? It’s a tough one team selection wise because Europa is a back door to European Cgampions football so SD will want to give it a fair crack but Brentford is a tough away fixture and priority atm I think.
I’d probably have Sels in there, and a run out for Savona. Yates, Luiz, Ndoye, Cubiano Hutch and McAteer but rest the likes of Murillo, Anderson, MGW, Sanghere, CHO and Jesus. But who knows the strengths of the opposition?
18 Jan 2026 18:51:41
Cant play Hutchinson, cuhna, cubiano.
18 Jan 2026 19:26:02
Of course, I forgot that DTP. Just had a look at their line up tonight. I remember Moutinho when he played for Wolves, ( 39 now) and thought it was our Moussa Niakhate at centre back ( but it isn’t). So, still non the wiser as to what to expect or what team to put out.
18 Jan 2026 19:27:58
Could start strong and pull “ first teamers “ off early if and when we get a good lead. But that would be reckless in my opinion.
Having said that, the reverse didn’t work against Wrexham did it?
18 Jan 2026 19:39:30
Don't think dyche will risk that tbh
Bakwa, mcatee, ndoye, luiz all have something to prove to dyche now, they've had a public dressing down and maybe they will respond to that?
18 Jan 2026 20:35:50
When Zinchenko was amitted from the squad to make way for Aina, might have been wiser to include Awoniyi instead, might have had better luck against lesser?, teams. Braga's coach learnt his trade at man city's under 18's teams for 7 years, so should know everything about McAtee, Braga's his first crack at head coach.
18 Jan 2026 21:04:09
Doesn't work like that mossey mate
Aina was originally on the squad but was replaced by zinchenko through injury, now he's fit again he's allowed back, you can't swap players about till the next phase.
18 Jan 2026 21:40:37
Didn't know that DTP, the cunumdrum of finding a solution to playing Jesus every game still stands?.
18 Jan 2026 21:50:55
Yep he gets injured and we are well and truly screwed as it stands.
