Not sure what Oliver Glasner is doing? Hope he is. Seems to be obsessed with a system. It's good players that win games and players who can score goals. Ruban Amorim was obsessed with playing a system at Manchester United and it blew up in his face and became an embarrassment. He needs to win a home game against Spurs above all by any means possible and start getting players putting the ball in the net.

Spurs are in transition and one would hope he can apply his experience to scoring more goals than they do on Saturday. Delap is a big lad who can put himself about - hope he lets him do it? Don't fully understand the Hutchinson situation - he was one of a few players with pace? COYR

The cynic in me says Glasner is undoing all the great work Pereira did. The optimist in me is saying he has told the owner where he needs players, which will temporarily unsettle the team, but bring improvement.

Hope the optimist is right.

Honestly. I just preferred Pereira, and felt he was the perfect fit the moment his name was mentioned. Pereira is underrated and, with this backing, would have done spectacular things. I also really like Vitor, and so did the players.



Vitor is Portuguese/Brazilian for "conqueror," "winner," or "champion". We had a squad being built around value for money Brazilian talent. What wasn't to like? The glove fitted.

Glasner will either prove he is better, or this will go down in history as the stupidest, most expensive managerial appointment we've ever made. Glasner is on £14M a year and the second highest paid coach in the Prem.

The one thing we cannot doubt is that Glasner is a v good coach. The last 5 years tell us that. Yes, he does have a system, and he is rigid (albeit, I don't think he is Amorin Mk II). I'm slightly surprised we have not done more business to get the resource to fit his tactics, but then again, maybe we are in need of more sustainability than we realise.



All that said, it may also be that we - finally - only want to attract quality, specific players. That would be a welcome improvement if so.

Because Olympiacos are under UEFA rules for finance and can't buy them and balance the books. They just pay the wages, but the player is still a Forest asset.

Don't forget, clubs like Chelsea and City constantly do it. If the player does well and their value increases, we get profit when they are sold, if they lose value, we lose. So they still need to be good signings.
