So far Herr Tuchel has been lucky with below par performances. Monday morning there will be no hiding place in the cauldron of the Azteca.
Personally I think his squad decisions will come back to bite him and Iβll name a few.
No Luke Shaw
No Maguire
No Alexander Arnold
No creative 10.
Bellingham is an 8 and Rogers is a winger imo
Not giving minutes to Watkins or Toney. Why take them? Mainoo, why take him? Henderson, why take him?
Failure to get to the semis should cost this Buffon his job.
04 Jul 2026 13:50:28
Can't believe we went in for him in the first place. A German manager, what next. π€£π€£π€£
04 Jul 2026 15:21:00
If that's a reference to Glasner, he's Austrian recliner boy.
04 Jul 2026 15:38:38
Yes, but he's not a German managing England, is he? π Can't pick a team, boy. π
04 Jul 2026 15:43:14
I think we all felt the same with his squad selection, it's why I'm not getting fussed over England.
They had a great chance to do something special, but not with this squad or Tuchels tactics! If I'm in a Mexican shirt on Monday, with a big hat and bushy moustache I'll be attacking down the middle! Take on the 2 worst centre backs in the competition and fill my sombrero with goals!

04 Jul 2026 17:21:21
Sean Dyche interview on Glasner coming in. Every other sentence I'm not bitter. π€£π€£π€£π€£ You're definitely a John's Smiths mate. If I could of passed you some tissues I would of done. What a fool.
04 Jul 2026 17:40:04
How's your Dad keeping, Skeggs?
04 Jul 2026 17:42:38
Different sport altogether now...
Has anyone been watching "Gods of Tennis" on BBC iPlayer?
Fascinating, a must watch.
For me, no era comes near the late 70s and 80s periods... superb characters.
04 Jul 2026 18:25:48
He passed a week last Tuesday, 15 minutes before England kick-off. I remember him saying they bore him to death. Obviously, he didn't want to go through the pain of watching them again.
04 Jul 2026 19:05:51
Sorry for your loss, mate...
Didn't know he did. Knew you said it was close.
RIP.
04 Jul 2026 07:39:08
{Ed's Note - newnameoldideas has posted a new article entitled, Why United Keep Missing Midfield Targets
03 Jul 2026 22:04:47
Looks like England are being cheated out of it. The Azteca Stadium is not air conditioned and stands at an altitude of 7000 feet. Mexico, the team rated 10th in the World, have played 3 of their 4 games at this Stadium and are thus thoroughly acclimatised. They have won all their games and scored 8 goals without reply. They haven't lost at this Stadium since 2013 and have lost only 2 games out of 89 ever played there:
The temperature at the original kick off time was going to be 20 degrees.
At the new kickoff off time is 26 degrees.
We arrive 2 days before kickoff, nowhere near enough time to acclimatise.
We are screwed and itβs a blatant fix.
Disgraceful by FIFA.
03 Jul 2026 22:36:35
England are crap. You weren't expecting to beat Mexico at whatever time they were supposed to play in whatever country, were you. π€£π€£
03 Jul 2026 22:37:27
Good post, Stokey.
03 Jul 2026 22:38:02
They are hosts, Stokey.
So, play there by right.
03 Jul 2026 22:38:55
They should take it as an attempted low blow, give them more reason to run themselves into the ground and give the country something to be happy about by beating em. No better way to stick the middle finger up to FIFA. π³
03 Jul 2026 23:03:50
2015-2016, Ryan Mendes, remember him? Going to score the winner later and send Messi home. π³
04 Jul 2026 01:06:34
It is a challenge, but not insurmountable. The bookies still have England favourites. So, if anyone is convinced Mexico will win due to favourable conditions, go fill yer boots.
They are unbeaten in their last 26 games at the Azteca. But the quality of opposition has been very poor. They have beaten no one anywhere near the world top 10. Their most impressive result was a 0-0 draw against Portugal.
There is not one player who would get into the England squad, let alone the team. I know you could say the same about DR Congo, and that ended up being hard work.
However, if the team can get off to a good start, be positive, as they were in the 2nd half v Croatia, I think they will progress.
We are in the weaker side of the draw. Whoever comes through between Spain and France will win it, in my view. One of the best attacking forces ever, versus a well oiled machine. My money is on Spain.
Looking at Argentina huffing and puffing against Cape Verde. Will stick my neck out and say, "They ain't winning it." They had their day in December 22.
04 Jul 2026 01:16:19
France for me, 67, unbelievable going forward, don't think any defence will cope with them. Also, don't think the Bluesharks of Verde are done yet, one more twist? π³
04 Jul 2026 01:18:47
Boom! Merely seconds later. π€£
04 Jul 2026 01:44:48
Wounded, what an effort, best World Cup game so far in the US. Argentina are very beatable on that performance. π³
04 Jul 2026 02:56:27
Exactly RRH. The weaker side of the draw.
Everyone is writing off Brazil for some reason. But, from what I can see, they would be a stiffer test than Argentina on current form. Maybe it's the Ancelotti effect. But I wouldn't write off Norway.
Beat Mexico and this could really open up, ala 2018.
04 Jul 2026 05:29:02
Here we go, Pete Pan, getting the excuses lined up before we even kick off. Mexico won the right to co-host the World Cup, so just get on with it.
There's always an excuse for losing, & pre-match negativity, just in case.
Get Tinkerbell to sprinkle some majic dust on them. π€£
The only reason England will not win the World Cup is for one reason. They ain't good enough.
04 Jul 2026 08:32:29
In Top Gear South America, didn't they take blue pills to combat the effects of altitude? That could be an embarrassing lineup for the national anthems.
Regardless, it will be a tough game, especially with their home support. We have to sort our defence out for it. We were mediocre at best at the back against DR Congo.
04 Jul 2026 08:51:51
I never expected England to win the World Cup, Larry and Skegs. But a level playing field would only be fair against Mexico.
Another 6 into the stands. ππ
04 Jul 2026 09:05:11
Again, you need to read my posts properly. After all, we're expected to read your stories. Win the World Cup. π€£π€£π€£ I said expected to beat Mexico, and that's out. π
04 Jul 2026 09:51:57
Addressed to "Larry and Skegs" if you re check, 2 halves of the same turd π© πππ
You're just a bit sensitive Skegs because you came within 15 minutes of the country you hate ( but still choose to live in) losing to Congo. Spoilt the East Coast celebration eh?
04 Jul 2026 10:27:50
Lawrence calling out Stokey for being negative!!!
Nearly fell out of my shoes!!!
πππ
π€£π€£π€£.
04 Jul 2026 11:04:14
Give it a rest now, guys, it's getting boring. π³
04 Jul 2026 11:19:50
Agreed RRH, see below mate.
04 Jul 2026 11:35:14
I know it's rich coming from me, but it's definitely going beyond funny now. π³
04 Jul 2026 11:42:28
We are English, British, and will support the national team, whatever, as we do our local team. As I have said before, this is one of the few competitions where we see English players. The Premier League is awash with foreign players.
My view is England will beat Mexico despite the altitude. Why? We have at least 3 world class players - Bellingham, Kane and Anderson. We need the rest to be inspired on Monday and get us over the line. There is no excuse to be negative.
04 Jul 2026 12:06:11
Well said Nuno. π³
04 Jul 2026 11:23:50
Your damn right i hate this rubbish corrupt country stokie.and trust me if I had the money or could be allowed in any other country by dinghy that would give me benefits and housing I wouldn't think twice about leaving π and haven't you got better things to do.like playing with tinkerbell π€£π€£
04 Jul 2026 12:16:17
We won't beat Mexico. Ive put money on that. Our back 4 are terrible. And you can have the greatest players im the world in the team, but you need to have a great manager to manage them, and we definitely don't have one. 3-1 Mexico, you heard it here first. π
04 Jul 2026 12:29:27
No Skeggs, we've heard it a lot!!.
π€£π€£π€£π€£
04 Jul 2026 12:46:15
Yes but our country would be a much better place wouldn't it Skeggs if petulant teenagers didn't incite other scumbags to turn vicars cars upside down on a whim don't you think mate?
As said, I rest my case .
04 Jul 2026 13:36:43
I bet you rested a lot of cases stokie.i could imagine that as soon as you opened your mouth and started talking would be enough π
04 Jul 2026 14:28:33
Please, gentlemen, call time on this matter. It is not doing anyone any good. As you're aware, I have spent the last month in Thailand with my son, and I was fortunate enough to have a day with some Buddhist monks. I won't go into details, but what I learned about myself astounded me. I used to enjoy a one two with DTP, but I realise he has a point and so do I.
It's just that we didn't see eye to eye, and this is what is happening now, except it is getting personal. We must learn to accept each other's opinions (right or wrong), and either find common ground or move on without name calling. If we can achieve this, then what a better place this site would be, and it might encourage new posters to come in.
04 Jul 2026 15:55:40
I found something better do. π»ππ
04 Jul 2026 16:28:38
Fair point Vale. It's just that people who routinely denigrate our country, even for attention seeking reasons, should perhaps take a look in the mirror first .
They certainly shouldn't be boasting on here or anywhere about their past criminality.
I certainly wouldn't be taking any questions or advice about my integrity from the likes of Skeggs and his mates.
There you go, I'll leave yourselves and the other worthy posters on here to make your own minds up . as you say, it's all a matter of opinion mate
03 Jul 2026 13:04:07
Skeggs and Larry ( whom I always think fondly of as the Chuckle Brothers Skegness Branch).
Skeggs, I'm puzzled by your post saying I've gone quiet? Even a genius like me has to sleep sometimes mate. I do enjoy living in your heads rent free though.
I did post that I give it 3 months before " Glasner Out" starts to appear on your missives. Seems like only 2 days in, the doubts are starting to appear as you says you are going to support Skegness Town if Glasner fails.
Also, you are both deluded if you think Mr M will allow OG any say in running the club, recruitment etc. "
As for OG's brand of football, it's another myth, like Dycheball. When I saw our games against Palace this season, I thought they were dire. In the game at the WFCG they played the majority of the game against 10 men after Neco's brain fade and never looked like scoring. In fact, we were unlucky not to win it.
Like RRH, I have better things to do ( grandkids to see, cricket to watch, cold beer to drink, books to read, holidays to plan etc) than engage with boring, benighted, befuddled and bewildered buffoons like you 2 and DTP. A good piece of alliteration there, though I say so myself! π
I leave you, with a couple of thoughts. I'm still not sure where this Peter Pan stuff comes from but you may be aware that there is a thing called " Peter Pan syndrome " where grown ups are socially immature and juvenile in outlook. Forever and always.
I'll leave the people on here to read your posts and decide for themselves if it applies to you. Good luck on your trip to visit the land of the Monkey Hangers DTP. I'm sure you will fit right in mate.
I finally couple of stats ( although lost on you 3 I'm sure)
Firstly in VPs 3 and a half months in charge Forest scored the most goals in the Prem, joint top with Man City. Also they had the 5 th best defence. With SD's 22 points from 18 games both managers got us over the line despite the best efforts off the pitch by our illustrious owner.
But, please, don't let the facts confuse you when your minds are made up.
I always support 100% the incumbent Forest manager and I hope OG can do a good job. But forgive me for not getting over excited at this stage. Anyway, I'll leave you to take your cans of Stella for a lonely walk along the beach this weekend and remember to keep us chuckling .
03 Jul 2026 13:53:46
Stokey π€£, I can't wait for DTP to turn up here in Hartlepool. Im going to hand him over to the locals. In a hundred years, alongside the legend and statue of the hanging monkey, will be a garden gnome. ππ³
03 Jul 2026 13:57:41
Stokey, it wasn't Glasner I was on about failing if you read it right. It was Maranakis, so you need to read posts properly. And I'm never lonely when I walk to the beach, mate, I have my best friend Bailey with me all the time. And mate, you really need to let the Shaun Dyche thing go, pal.
03 Jul 2026 14:33:05
Bewildered buffoons.
Bloody brilliant. π€£π€£π€£π€£
03 Jul 2026 17:42:34
If you've got better things to do, why are you always on with a long-winded post?. π
03 Jul 2026 18:14:36
His posts may be long, but DTP, they have substance and are generally interesting. Do yours? π³
03 Jul 2026 18:55:59
Just wish the lot of ya would just leave it. Been going on far too long now and outta hand. I know I'm not innocent, but my. Cmon Reds. Plz.
03 Jul 2026 19:02:12
Here! Here!
Bowie!!!
03 Jul 2026 19:06:14
Spot on, Bowie, that Stoke-on-Trent guy just don't know when to lie down. π€£
03 Jul 2026 19:19:58
I agree it's Vodka Friday, let Bowie have his night. π
03 Jul 2026 21:13:43
I'm having a glass of red Skeggs after a hard day. π·π
03 Jul 2026 21:38:34
Ok, serious now.
What's the point in saying about Vitor's stats?
We all know they were exceptional.
Like I've said, would have been more than happy for him to carry on.
But didn't want to sign a new contract extension?
It's pointless keeping going on about it, and Dyche before him. Don't feel sorry, they get good payoffs.
Wolves fans loved him for the first season and hated him for the start of last season when he didn't win a game.
Slott same at Liverpool, you're only as good as the last result.
I'm a Forest fan at the end of the day, and while not necessarily agreeing all the time with Marinakis, he's still brought success and given us memories of going to Wembley, semi-finals and Europe in what?
7 years?
That'll do for me.
03 Jul 2026 21:53:16
What Stokey said. π€£
Vitor was great for us and saved us from relegation without doubt. We suddenly started scoring again. Thank you VP.
I am amazed (but happy) Glasner decided to come for us; he said Forest are a bigger club.
I'm surprised he hasn't gone to a top 6 club.
The bit I really like is it is a big poke in the eye to the Palace fans who made the big Maranakis banner when we went to their place. I never get bored of irony.
03 Jul 2026 21:56:09
And probably the most important Wembley trip in the last decade for us, the Playoff Final. Mr M gets my backing no matter what.
Apparently he's going to ban pensioners from the ground next. π€π³
03 Jul 2026 21:57:35
It's not the new coach/manager, whatever they are called these days. Twas the way they finished him. Doesn't need money. Just a bit decency. Done a job for us. Big M certainly done one on him.
03 Jul 2026 22:01:02
Nailed it, Gingerkid.
CAgen replied to you down the board.
You've forgotten the 20 years of Championship and League One before Marinakis arrived.
03 Jul 2026 22:07:38
Nuno done one on Marinakis.
Not sure what happened when Vitor left Olympiacos after winning the double there.
Maybe that, and him not wanting to sign a new contract, had an influence?
03 Jul 2026 22:17:52
Skeggs, "If it doesn't work with Glasner, I'm off to support Skegness Town" ... Your words, mate. Check it out. Anyway, how can Mr M fail? It's his club. He owns it, he can do what he likes with no consequences.
Secondly, stats are facts, you can't just ignore them. Dyche and Vitor kept us up. By the way, your mate Bailey... Is he in the room with you now?.
π π π§ββοΈ
Larry, if you keep bowling pies at me, mate, I'll just keep smashing them for 6, all day, every day. So keep your daft comments coming.
Ginger, Glasner came to us because the big clubs (Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City) rejected him, mate. We are a stop gap, and Palace may well have the last laugh. π
Great win for Notts by one run at Trent Bridge.
03 Jul 2026 22:18:20
Winter, you really must try harder.
03 Jul 2026 22:19:36
Who cares about any past Forest managers apart from Clough. They were all stepping stones, just enjoy the fact that a top 6 Premier League manager wants to join us. Let the Glasner era begin uredddssss uredddssss uredddssss.
03 Jul 2026 22:23:03
What? It's down to the urine leaks wrecking the red seats. π³
03 Jul 2026 22:31:03
To be fair, DTP, I don't think he's hanging on to anything, just stating facts. None here can honestly say VP going on the last day of June was expected. It was a secret clause in his contract.
I was shocked, along with many others. Yes, im more than happy with his replacement, but yeah, it was a really s***y way to do it, via email. π³
03 Jul 2026 22:36:13
Don't start trying to be nice, Winter. ππ
03 Jul 2026 22:40:07
Huh? Disappearing DTP, has a ring to it that. π
03 Jul 2026 22:53:07
Read my post again properly, Detective Pan. Just like a copper trying to twist the facts. π€£π€£
03 Jul 2026 23:11:31
It must be a bit too long to take in, Skeggs? πππ
03 Jul 2026 23:16:46
Ps Skeggs, he's got better things to do than be on here? ππ
03 Jul 2026 22:54:31
DTP pure speculation that VP didn't want to sign a contract extension. He was in negotiations and was contracted for next season anyway. Obviously, Glasner had burnt his bridges for the big jobs and came to our madhouse in desperation, hence VP had the rug pulled out from under him.
Mr M sacked VP after winning the Greek double because he'd expressed interest in the Fenerbahce job ( which he got and was successful ( yet again) because he's an excellent manager. There's nothing more guaranteed to wind up a short tempered Greek than to be spurned for a Turk
03 Jul 2026 23:22:34
Yes, it won't be long before he's got Wendy up. So, they can open the windows and fly around the 7 wonders of the world. π€£π€£
03 Jul 2026 23:26:36
Skeggs. ππππππ
03 Jul 2026 23:28:29
Stokey, and everything you try and twust against the club you support is also speculation.
04 Jul 2026 01:02:47
Is 'twust' old people speak for twerk? So now, poor Stokey is being accused of twerking against the club, bet that was amusing in the turnstiles. π€£π³
03 Jul 2026 23:49:01
I hope everyone winds Mr m up then stokie.he was going to pull the plug on the big man city cheating scum and sell Anderson for less to prove a point he's paying glasner one of the biggest Premier League managers top wages and he says he will make forest one of the best teams in Europe.
How can any forest fan go against a man like that we love maranakis uredddssss
04 Jul 2026 08:28:09
Stokey, I hope Palace don't, but as far as those clubs you mentioned, let's hope it's their loss and our gain.
He has done a tremendous job at Palace whilst also having some of their riches removed.
I hope he is here for at least 3 seasons.
It would be good not to be constantly changing managers, the players must be getting really fed up with that.
I am excited to see who he can bring in for us for next season.
04 Jul 2026 09:56:16
Skeggs I quoted your words verbatim. Everyone can check it out.
As for you, DTP and Larry your posts should be straight down the Pan because they are invariably π©π©ππ
04 Jul 2026 11:14:11
RRH, mate, with my creaking bones these days I couldn't manage a "twust" or a twerk. πππ
Skeggs, you are conflating your fictional characters, mate. Peter Pan didn't fly around the 7 Wonders of the World, he was very much based around the Darking family house in Bloomsbury. Are you thinking, perhaps, of Ariel from Shakespeare's play "The Tempest" who could "put a girdle around the world in 40 minutes"? Either way, it's another swing and a miss from you.
Look, DTP, Skeggs and Larry, it's 3 v 1 and you haven't managed to land a punch yet.
I keep replying on here because I'm genuinely enjoying the banter and, like all pleasures, it's addictive. So, I hereby declare I'm going to cease and desist except on purely football matters. One can have too much of a good thing, don't you agree?
I feel a bit like Mohammed Ali who famously said before reciting one of his poems, "I wrote this whilst I was waiting for Joe Bugner to punch me". ππππππ
It's been a gas.
04 Jul 2026 16:23:02
Been googling Peter Pan now, Skeggs. πππ
04 Jul 2026 18:16:30
Nah, don't need to Google anything, DTP, mate. Read the book and read it to my kids. Seen the play and the films. Haven't you?
Just keep a look out for that crocodile. π
03 Jul 2026 13:13:41
Β£116 million sounds like a lot of money until you examine the squad and realistically assess what we need. Glasner will have his own ideas but these are obvious areas of concern.
1. A decent quality back up and potential future replacement for Sels.
2. Back up for right back. Aina is injury prone.
3. Midfield replacement for Anderson.
4. A regular goal scoring striker. Wood and Awoniyi are both injury prone and will no longer guarantee a heavy return. Jesus is a midfield player not a striker.
5. A winger who can skin his full back and deliver a cross. Hudson Odoi is with the physio more than the first team. The rest huff and puff but don't blow the house down.
That amounts to a lot of spending. Some. An be offset by offloading some failures but doesn't consider the probability of losing one or all of the three squad members we should fight to keep. Murillo and Williams are players we should keep at all costs, while MGW is the real jewel in the crown no matter how good Anderson was.
MGW was the best striker, winger and midfield player at the club and he could probably cover at full back and become the best there. Simply the most influential Red in years.
03 Jul 2026 13:36:42
Good assessment, Deep. π
03 Jul 2026 13:03:03
Anyone fancy a ticket for Englands game on Sunday?
Β£460, before England confirmed their place, now only Β£22,800.ππ³
03 Jul 2026 13:40:17
It'll be a difficult game, Rrh. The Atacama Stadium is about 7,000 feet above sea level and England won't have had enough time to acclimatise.
I was reading an interview with England's rugby doctor.
They play the Springboks tomorrow at Ellis Park, which is about 6, 500 feet above sea level. He says it takes 10 days to get the oxygen in the blood levels right back to normal.
03 Jul 2026 13:44:13
My son tells me it was the stadium where Maradona's "Hand of God" goal was scored in the 1980s?
03 Jul 2026 16:06:00
That is indeed correct. ππ»
03 Jul 2026 16:40:07
And also, one of the greatest goals ever scored, both sides of his genius were on display that day. π³
03 Jul 2026 16:50:39
Shilts was badly at fault there, unfortunately.
03 Jul 2026 22:55:56
I thought Peter Reid was at fault for not wacking Maradona down when he began his mazy run. It's what they would have done to us.
03 Jul 2026 23:07:16
Refs were at fault for not spotting handball.
It was clear and obvious.
03 Jul 2026 12:34:10
Harsh on VP but that's how football is, I suppose.
I think Glasner is an upgrade but we will see.
The biggest problem for me is that we bought wingers last season to fit the Nuno brief, now we're probably going to go with wing backs, so what do we do? Sell the likes of Odoi, Hutchinson, Ndoye or try and turn them into wing backs.
We have two good attacking fullbacks in Neco and Aina but that's it and so much effort goes into playing wing back, injuries will happen.
03 Jul 2026 21:56:36
Maybe he could bring Munoz with him, as well as a few others. Quality player.
03 Jul 2026 11:08:44
Bergval hardly seems an adequate replacement for Anderson, but then there doesn't seem to be anybody remotely like Anderson around anyway, so maybe we will have to change our shape to accommodate the loss of him.
03 Jul 2026 08:29:05
So Dan Ndoye has put himself in the shop window, by scoring in the World Cup! Well done the Swiss!
I feel sorry for VP, got the team playing, the set piece coach worked really well with the team and got us scoring! So end of!
Now let's welcome our new head coach, Oliver Glasner, to TWFCG.
Let's have some great signings to build up the squad and start winning games more often!
COYR.
02 Jul 2026 23:19:07
It's so easy to say let's have stability?
Well Marinakis tried that by giving Nuno a new 3 year contract and Nuno did one on him.
You have to remember that Vitor won the double for Olypiacos in his first season and left, no doubt to Marinakis disastisfaction?
To me Nuno didn't have his brain engaged when talking on TV last season and now maybe Marinak7s felt he can't trust Votor?
We've tried to get Olly before, so probably always a target.
Like I say no point in having a go at Marinakis, he owns us and at least puts the money in.
03 Jul 2026 05:15:08
The managers are just the same as Marinakas dtp. They are all in it for their own ends. Like I said, if Real Madrid came knocking, you wouldn't see Vitor's backside for dust. Winning the double in Greece is like doing it in Scotland, nothing like the challenge of the Premier League.
Two-team league.
How Peter Pan & co. can't get excited about getting a class manager upgrade, and keep banging on about loyalty, is beyond me. Keep feeling sorry for the millionaire Vitor if you like, but I can't wait for pre-season. π₯π₯π

I really hope he brings us success, in fact I'm expecting it more than for a long time now, through great signings, attractive football, a real connection with the fans.
Great team spirit.
An instant replacement for Anderson.
A proven goalscorer.
An expert free kick / corner taker.
Not much to ask, is it. π
I'm shaking with excitement!!!
So, let's go, Ollie!!!

The biggest problem with Maranakis, he was listening to people who know bugger all about football and signings. I would imagine the biggest part of Glasner signing for Forest is that he has a big say on signings and the football he wants to play, and that is why this is such a great signing.
A coach who will be left to play the football he knows best.

Absolutely right Skaggs, Mr M should do exactly that and he should concentrate on getting the ground sorted or find us a new home. Glasner is more than capable of making us great again. Just let him get on with it.

Mr M, last chance with me, Vale. If it doesn't work with Glasner, I'm off to support Skegness Town, because we probably will never get a better manager come through the doors. So here's hoping.

God, let's hope so, Skeggs... I've had enough of
"Forenation Street!!!."

So DTP, let me just get this right, "there is no point having a go at Mr M, as he owns us and he puts the money in."
Well, if we follow that through, let's close this site.
I don't understand this cult of Mr M. I genuinely don't. Nobody in any walk of life is above criticism. Me, you, Mr M. This is a guy who has helped get us back to the Premier League. 100%. This is a guy who has spent a lot of money to get us here. 100%.
But this is also a guy who has hired 5 managers in less than 12 months, had 3 relegation fights in 4 seasons, seen numerous (and I mean numerous) senior people hired and leave, spent gazillions on transfers, sometimes using his son, sometimes using others, and wasted a whole chunk of it.
He hired Clattenberg, he spat at/near a referee, he raced onto the pitch, etc.
The culture of the club - owned by him and funded by him - appears to be hiring/firing/knocking out emails to managers at 11.58pm to get around bigger payoffs.
Is it actually working? That's an interesting question. For sure, we are here in the Premier League, but the approach so far has resulted in all of the above. We underperformed last season.
But, no, let's have it your way, and never ever criticise.

Simple to answer, Cagen.
You've obviously forgotten the previous 25 years.
So you were happy in the Championship and League One, were you?
Get real and stop moaning.
