West Ham sniffing around Brice Samba. They're lining up a £6 million bid in January and the player wants to move to the Premier League.
1.) 30 Dec 2019 18:42:59
£16M maybe. He will be worth £20M at least in a season or two. He signed a 4 year deal so tough luck.
09 Jul 2019 10:06:02
Keeper from City has been confirmed. Can only assume that Steele will be on his way.
1.) 09 Jul 2019 10:34:38
Sooner get rid of pants. The guys a clown.
2.) 09 Jul 2019 10:54:00
I can't understand why some are calling Pants; he got the third highest clean sheet stat last season, didn't he. That's nothing to mock really. But. on the other hand, he has made some right clangers and his distribution is at best inaccurate.
3.) 09 Jul 2019 11:16:08
Get rid of all three of them.
4.) 09 Jul 2019 12:32:26
No goal keepers? I like your style!
5.) 09 Jul 2019 15:38:01
More likely Smith will go rather than Steele?
6.) 09 Jul 2019 18:04:53
Bring back Peter Grummitt. He was a great keeper.
7.) 10 Jul 2019 11:06:10
Pants for a guy of his size number 1 he didn't command his box,2 how many crosses did anyone ever see him come ot for, 3 his distribution of the ball was shocking, 4 he's always glued to his line . So I can't see the lad from man city having any trouble getting the number 1 shirt.
8.) 10 Jul 2019 21:48:54
I think Pants will be sold.
26 Dec 2018 21:36:14
So a premature sacking looks to be on the horizon then. Hopefully it works out. Has Warburton got a job yet?
1.) 26 Dec 2018 22:23:21
According to twitter he's already gone
2.) 26 Dec 2018 22:24:13
According to Twitter he has agreed to go by mutual consent
3.) 26 Dec 2018 22:45:19
It was gutting to give 2 away in stoppage time, it happens though, but a point at Norwich is a good result overall. The drive home was very quiet.
To start calling for the managers head now is crazy, that will get them nowhere as proved on many occasions in the past. 3pts off the play off spots. Another 12 months and it will be a different story.
4.) 26 Dec 2018 23:55:25
Bv ak is once again moaning about players attitudes yet there HIS players now so has he bought wrong ? He keeps playing 4,2,3,1 at home and it isn't working yet still plays it, he bought dias on when we needed a steady head and dias cost us the 2 goals, pants has been second rate his while career and still is the list is starting to mount now a little less stubbornness from ak and we would be closer to the top 2 but he refuses to admit certain things aren't working
5.) 27 Dec 2018 02:08:28
Premature? He's won 15 out of 49 games!
6.) 27 Dec 2018 07:45:12
Why not go for a proven British manager- step forward Big Sam.
7.) 27 Dec 2018 09:10:41
He’s only got himself to blame, crap subs useless tactics esp at home, yesterday I can’t see why he took Robinson off n unbalanced the back 4 then we bring on Dias who might aswell of been wearing yellow n yet still people don’t think it’s the managers fault, he’s the 1 who chooses what to do, I think since the ipswich game n his post match interview something clearly happened, did he bring grabban off when he was on a hat trick? Maybe he had an argument with him
8.) 27 Dec 2018 10:45:58
Thank God there is someone on here with common sense, thank you balanced view. I'm sure just about everyone on here would have taken a point before kick off, that said it was still pretty gutting to draw from 3-0 up with 20 to go. The ref made some awful decisions both ways.
Karanka has done a decent job this season and we are on the fringe of play-offs, people on here are so fickle when it comes to the managers and results, it's hilarious.
Hope you stay Karanka and Happy Xmas to you.
9.) 27 Dec 2018 11:51:34
I think he has done well and brought a good style of football when it has worked but needs to be more flexible in his approach to some games.
Under Fawaz we called for managers heads mainly because the managers were puppets to Fawaz and now we have an owner and board with ambition it seems like fans don't like that either?
If AK is sacked it is because the people in control want better for our club so surly we should be thankful for that shouldn't we?
10.) 27 Dec 2018 11:52:11
Actually it was 13 to go
11.) 27 Dec 2018 11:55:28
According to my maths he's won 8 out of 21 home games. Not many clubs with poor home form Like that. Not many managers would survive that stat especially with 22009 season ticket holders who the owners need to renew next year.
12.) 27 Dec 2018 11:57:21
Random fact 1: Mark Warburton and Dougie Freedman both had better win percentages than Aitor Karanka operating with far fewer resources.
Imagine what they could have done with this kind of money.
13.) 27 Dec 2018 12:52:51
Know what you are saying RedCyclist but we all know the type of player Warburton brought in so I think that would have been disastrous.
AK has brought in some very good players but his systems and the love of his favourites even when not playing well, is not getting the best from them.
Let's see who we bring in and who is in control in January but good to see the owner is aiming high
14.) 27 Dec 2018 13:28:15
We DO NOT know what type of player Warburton might have brought in with £26M at all because he didn't have the opportunity. That is obvious.
I'd be the first to agree that he made a couple of transfer mistakes but he still managed to win occasionally with far cheaper players. That is what a coach's main job in. Get wins.
Tachsidis? Watson? Are they really better than Bridcutt?
Is Goncalves a better player than Barrie McKay?
I'll tell you the difference between those players. The ones Karanka signed are on a lot more money.
15.) 27 Dec 2018 13:29:46
all managers are puppets to the owner and all managers have their favourites. .that's why they sign them.
Just saying
16.) 27 Dec 2018 13:42:27
Agree the manager has made some mistakes but don't we all.
Looking at the whole picture we are inconsistent.
Looking at our results against the leading pack in the division,
we drew but should have won with Leeds
1 point from Norwich from both games should have been 3
drew with WBA
beat Sheff UTD
beat Midboro
drew with Derby
So what i'm saying is we are a good side , losing just once to the cream teams , yes we are bang average at home but we are still so much improved on last season.
We are getting there all be it slowly.
Forget last season and bringing the stats in its this season that counts. Last season was all about survival ,this season is about making play offs and we aren't far off.
17.) 27 Dec 2018 13:59:45
I think we do know RedCyclist, that's why they got rid before allowing him to do it again lol.
McKay was never going to be good enough apart from the odd goal but all the rest about comparing players is irrelevant
A good player may look poor if not happy or not played in the correct position or formation such as Pogba.
The buck stops with the manager and it looks like we are in for a change whether we want it or not so comparing players or past managers matters not. Forward not backwards
18.) 27 Dec 2018 14:23:56
Calm down fellow Reds and stay with Karanka! If Dias had put his boot through it with the last kick of the game we d be in 7th place a point adrift!Admittedly Dias was a strange choice as sub but it must have AK tearing his hair out!The Real Madrid team he was at the heart of would have kept the ball for most of the remaining minutes so the opposition wouldn't have had a sniff!
19.) 27 Dec 2018 14:25:35
The point I'm making is that we would not have signed Barry McKay if we had 13M to spend on one player. So no we DON'T know what he would have signed because he didn't have the money.
My opinion is this. The main problem we have had for 10 years is that we perform against strong sides and can't beat the average and poor ones. We still have exactly that problem. We are also still not winning games in spite of spending an absolute fortune.
I'd be so happy if Krankie turns it around. I want us to get promoted. But the suspicion I have had since the day he was appointed is that he is no better than previous managers. I still suspect that is the case.
23 Dec 2018 11:13:21
Cardiff City set to sign Joe Lolley from Nottingham Forest for £12.75 million in January transfer window. Just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
1.) 23 Dec 2018 11:27:32
They will be coming down so why would he sign for them.
2.) 23 Dec 2018 12:17:35
Because they can pay him more than we can.
3.) 23 Dec 2018 12:18:41
If we get rid of lolley we might aswell pack up for the season
4.) 23 Dec 2018 12:55:15
What,s 10o/o of 12m ,I can see his agents eye,s twinkling now ,that why he,ll leave but AK doing a Marinio, on him won,t help !
CARLO
5.) 23 Dec 2018 12:58:22
Where have you heard this pyshco?
6.) 23 Dec 2018 13:45:36
Pc76, Just one word Tomlin?
09 Oct 2018 11:31:56
Cardiff are preparing a £15 million bid for Joe Lolley in January. That'll be him gone then.
1.) 09 Oct 2018 13:09:22
Why?
They will be relegated by then and we'll be in the automatic promotion places.
2.) 09 Oct 2018 13:09:28
Cardiff will be relegated by Jan,so hopefully not
3.) 09 Oct 2018 15:57:26
Lolley has a 4.5 year contract. Unless we want to sell he is going nowhere. FULL STOP!
4.) 09 Oct 2018 17:04:35
Pc76 I cannot seem to find anything to corroborate this rumour?
5.) 10 Oct 2018 07:40:20
Sgetty I would say Pc76's 'sauce' comes straight out of a bottle (On meals and for drinking prior to pre-forum posting LOL)

What do you propose we do, Damsonred? You keep going on about 'backbone' but put no recommendations forward. There is absolutely nothing you, Hughton or anyone else for that matter can do about it. So put up or shut up.
{Ed033's Note - There's been an obvious solution to this all along. Each club holds a civilised B.L.M. protest in the stadiums at exactly the same time a match is played and then people come along for the protest and if they happen to watch the match then that's ok. :)
1.) 29 Nov 2020 15:42:23
Why not just accept the pendamic has affected every walk of life edd?
Football should not be an exception. Everything i enjoy i can't do but there isn't a solution until a vaccine is ready.
Protesting is futile at the moment every business affected would start protesting if football was given special preference.
{Ed033's Note - I'm not saying football should be an exception. The solution is everybody be permanently on a B.L.M. protest ignore government and do their own thing the best they can until enough people 'wake up'.
2.) 29 Nov 2020 16:28:41
The old and vulnerable say careful and "alert" . The younger do your thing, and get on with it . Love that is. I'm oldish.
3.) 29 Nov 2020 17:05:19
It's bloody life not love, for Pete's sake.
4.) 29 Nov 2020 17:25:47
so now we have the excuse of the virus being a factor in forests play. i think not. too many poor players.
5.) 29 Nov 2020 16:44:33
Edd that's your opinion try telling that to the loved ones of doctors that lost their lives all over the world trying to look after the virus patients.
6.) 29 Nov 2020 18:13:10
You obviously not been reading all my posts psycho_clough79 i said we should arrange a protest in my earlier posts so what's your problem? obviously you not been reading my posts properly or fully.
Thank you for backing me up Ed033 and expanding on my point very credibly cheers mate.
{Ed033's Note - ok thanks
24 Nov 2020 00:09:11
Bournemouth 3-0. I'm having £100 on it. 2-0 came in against Barnsley and I scooped a bag of sand. So I'm going for 2 on the bounce. Put your money on it people. You know it makes sense and you know we're not going to score.
1.) 24 Nov 2020 11:51:53
Come on Psycho, us to score first and we let things slip 5 times with a player red carded . Just might have -50p on it.
2.) 24 Nov 2020 14:32:14
3-0 Bournemouth is 12/ 1. That's enough for me, mi duck.
3.) 24 Nov 2020 15:24:52
If Bournemout go 2-0 or 3-0 up we will probably get one on the break and score. We are less likely to score if the scores stay low.
So FOREST 3-0!
4.) 24 Nov 2020 16:47:55
I really miss putting a bet on in the bookies, won't go on betting sites. I would be in a card board box after a season!.
20 Sep 2020 08:23:50
I'm not a body language expert nor do I claim to be but judging by the players continually shaking their heads for the first 35 minutes I don't think they particularly like the tactics or shape of the team. It wasn't until we went with 2 up top that they seemed to play better and the head shaking subsided.
1.) 20 Sep 2020 08:41:26
Nothing to do with your post psycho, just thought I'd throw it in the mix
Samba is crap! 🎈.
2.) 20 Sep 2020 08:45:41
Seems to me that the other teams have worked out the simple Forest tactic: Close us down, in our faces and we can't string a pass together; totally ineffective. No surprise the players look defeated from kick off. Disappointed SL can't supply a counter tactic to this!
3.) 20 Sep 2020 09:12:21
Lamouchi is not very tactically astute so he cannot switch playing styles to suit opposing teams.
He is like Captain Sobel from Band of Brothers. a buffoon of leader who loses it when under pressure and makes a lot of mistakes.
4.) 20 Sep 2020 09:25:03
Red balloons for some reason samba has turned into a statue when balls come into our box, really disappointed in him after a promising start,
5.) 20 Sep 2020 09:42:56
Stevie. do you think Lamouchi's style of play and tactics create a negative impact on them?
Has he lost the changing room perhaps?
6.) 20 Sep 2020 09:44:29
I agree, Stevie, Samba looked good to start with but definitely went a bit Dracula-esque later on.
15 Aug 2020 11:27:24
Blackett in. Mcguane on loan to Oxford. Hopefully both do well. We could with some squad players being moved on as well to balance the books. Far too many players picking up wages when they aren't being played.
1.) 15 Aug 2020 11:55:53
Blackett appears to be cover for Ribeiro or may be used alternately with him. McGuane should be given a chance in the First Eleven, but the experience in League 1 will bring him up to speed, just hope he's not messed about like Walker.
If we sign Lyle Taylor that's cover for Grabban, but we are still missing a key creative player, so who will that be?
2.) 15 Aug 2020 12:09:27
Note all present and prospective signings to date are players with experience of the championship . No hidden gems from across the water. A welcome change of philosophy from the club do we think.
3.) 15 Aug 2020 13:09:12
Doc so far so good ðŸ‘.
4.) 15 Aug 2020 13:17:06
This ionnias lad comes from Cyprus if he signs but has a good understanding playing with united reserves. Won some titles over there so has a winning mentality could be a good addition.
22 Jul 2020 21:20:40
And we've blobbed it.
1.) 22 Jul 2020 21:26:15
Heads need to roll from top to bottom.
2.) 22 Jul 2020 21:29:28
Red balloons fair play to you, you have been calling it for ages, , this lot are an utter disgrace, losers to a man, clear the lot out and start again,
3.) 22 Jul 2020 21:31:09
Who wrote the script? Great story, now let's wake up and see what really happened. At least we don't have to be embarrassed in the play offs. See you next season!

28 Nov 2020 12:32:08
Allegedly, of course.
25 Nov 2020 21:10:19
The poisoned Scottish dwarf is not to be trusted. He deliberately cocked promotion up the first time he was at Forest to prove himself right. There is a reason that he has only been at one club in the last 12 years and no one else is daft enough to have him as a manager.
17 Nov 2020 18:04:18
Remember Cummings? He was scoring goals regular in the Scottish Championship until he played in a decent league with a decent standard of football. The Scottish Championship is English League Two standard at best.
06 Oct 2020 20:09:14
6-3-1 formation. FTW!
04 Oct 2020 15:36:09
Why should they? Nothing to do with us if someone from the club gets arrested.
Psycho_clough76's banter replies
03 Jul 2021 15:16:53
How do you know we were after him anyway?
28 Nov 2020 18:36:56
Incidentally, Dansomred, I couldn't care less what tier Nottinghamshire is in. I won't be going back when we're allowed as the football clubs have already shown they don't care about supporters.
28 Nov 2020 18:21:20
Robin Hood wasn't an actual real person.
28 Nov 2020 21:28:00
What difference will it make. Damsonred. The government don't listen to us peasants. They know best.
29 Nov 2020 10:26:12
I wouldn't hold your breath with regards to returning to the City Ground. You won't be going this season.
