So a difficult day for the team today but resilient . Similar to Boro game except we survived the penalty.
Lots of grumbles that we didn't thrash the divisions bottom team but all games are tough.

Wigan for all their struggles have taken points off Forest, Derby, Huddersfield, WBA, Bristol C, Hull and Cardiff.

Its going to be a scrap lads.

1.) 29 Dec 2019 20:57:33
Personally were clutching at straws they have only won 4 games all season one of them was against us lol, if they had any kind of quality in the final 3rd today would of been another Sheffield Wednesday, if we have any kind of desire on the top 6 then yes we should be thrashing them, to be totally dominated by a team that hasn't won for 12 games can no how be made to look positive in your list there is 1 side in the top 6 being wba.

2.) 29 Dec 2019 21:01:43
Trentender. We are pretty woeful, particularly at home. We scrape games. Wigan are bottom of the league and yet they dominated us and but for a poor penalty should have taken a point. Cash was the only one at the races today defensively. You can't be a forest fan and say you are happy to watch that dross. How many managers and transfer windows do we need to fome up with the same conclusion?

3.) 29 Dec 2019 22:36:02
Figuereido was the best defender by far, did everything right and kept the back four in line.

4.) 29 Dec 2019 23:00:07
Totally agree. Too negative approach always. Something needs to change. Hard work watching forest at home despite the full houses!

5.) 30 Dec 2019 01:06:27
Yep I'd sack the coach, first six months in charge and we are so bad were 5th. 🤩🤩🤩.

6.) 30 Dec 2019 06:48:18
Too much bloody gloom and despair! Yes we got a lucky 3 points yesterday, but for those of us at KCOM on Thursday we saw a really energetic Forest beat Hull convincingly. Don’t underestimate what that took out of the squad! I believe SL knows that he can only rely on a relatively small squad and there needs to be more moving out of the dross this January and reinvestment in a small number of quality additions. Hefele, Benaloune, Carvalho, Mir, Muric must go!

7.) 30 Dec 2019 11:20:45
To be honest, if we won the prem some on here would still be moaning, that's just the way it is.

Good 3 points yesterday, back to back wins against potential banana skin opponents. Well done Samba on your penalty save.

Hopefully have Sow back for the next league game.

8.) 30 Dec 2019 14:46:59
We don't have a relatively small squad Tyke, it is huge. LOOOOOOL.

9.) 30 Dec 2019 18:38:50
RedCyclist. I said he could only “rely” on a small squad, there are far too may he cannot rely on!

10.) 30 Dec 2019 19:03:43
Tyke, I'd agree he can't rely on Mir or Muric. Silva and Carvalho are good on their day but totally unreliable. He also hasn't been able to rely on injured players. However there are some decent players he hasn't used or barely used at all yet.

Benalouane is decent but worrying on discipline. Jacob is a good player. Tyler Walker is a prolific goalscorer and not even in the squad. Brennan Johnson is a very good player and wouldn't have to do much to turn out to be more consistent than Silva and/ or Carvalho.

28 Nov 2018 22:17:44
Well, we will never score goals because AK is defensive minded and we won't be entertained. need a new manager, be gone by international break.
Oh and fancy paying 6 million for a crap striker.
Some advocated patience . vindicated I feel.

1.) 28 Nov 2018 23:35:30
Yes, it looks like we have the defence sorted as well. lol

09 Jul 2013 15:10:10
Rafik Djebboue to sign this week.

1.) Would be a great addition 39 goals in 56 games.

2.) Billy's back tomorrow

29 Jun 2021 19:37:15
So according to some of our resident Houghton bashers, the team picked by Southgate tonight was negative, boring with boring tactics just like Houghtons teams.
But hey England won 2-0 . don't conceed goals and are now in quarter final and favourites to go all the way.

1.) 29 Jun 2021 20:10:53
You seem to forget that the England Team and Forest are literally leaugues apart.
It is like comparing a Lada to a Bentley.
Also facts don't lie. re hughton's record at Forest is not exactly encouraging is it?
Hughton is the epitome of boring and about as tactically astute as Captain Mannering.

2.) 29 Jun 2021 20:11:45
I would be more than happy to see forest win games the way England did and score two goals.
Especially beating dierby in any way what so ever.

3.) 29 Jun 2021 20:50:24
your right Forest and England are miles apart but that is the comparison that has been made on here.

4.) 29 Jun 2021 21:10:34
You do have to admit though Hughton's Forest record is very dire to say the least.

5.) 29 Jun 2021 21:34:19
Trentender, this site is about everyone being a football manager mate. Each to there own. Iv'e laid off hughton, reason he's done nothing to me until the next ball is kicked. It's so easy to say you were right after the 90 minutes is over. like life we have our own defensive mechanism as well as attacking. If moller had scored who knows what the outcome would have been. One thing i will say is enjoy this day, and don't let them around ya get you down. Because tomorrow like the next game can bring on a whole different perspective. Just saying. Love them around ya. Lifes too short 👌.

6.) 29 Jun 2021 22:06:11
Dreamteam, keep on dreaming brother, hopefully the dinosaur that you are referring to will soon eat some of his own tripe and become extinct like the rest of the hughtonasaurus. And Trentender, you do have a point! Not. England have played 4, won 3, drew 1 and conceded none. Topped their group and have advanced to the last 8. And you are comparing the negative tactics of England that get results to the negative tactics of Forest that don’t? Interesting 🤔.

7.) 30 Jun 2021 05:35:39
Opinions are divided but you can't change the way Dino Chris set's out his game plans.
His plan a is the same as b and c which equates to draws.
He has cemented and drilled his teams to be afraid of entering the unknown territory known as the Final third. Where stories of the opposition's goal will bring those who dare put the ball into the net will suffer a slow terrible fate.

8.) 30 Jun 2021 09:18:11
Well that's interesting.
You say everyone is entitled to an opinion but then Mr Perko pops up and says I don't have a point.
When Sabri was manager we won many a game by 1-0 and scraped through games to a 7th finish. The resident moaners that are vilifying Houghton now were doing the same to Sabri and he was winning games.
Anyway I will continue to post my perspective regardless.

9.) 30 Jun 2021 10:39:48
All i can is 17th place.
If that is a satisfactory position your are happy with then that is your choice?
As for opinions we are all entitled to post what we believe in be it good or bad.
If someone dislikes a post and takes it as a personal insult then this site is probably not for them.
Stones in glasses houses spring to mind.
As the name suggests it is a BANTER site. nothing more nothing less.

10.) 30 Jun 2021 11:03:50
Trentender, What makes you think I’m a Mr. ? Bit stereotypical.

11.) 30 Jun 2021 11:13:18
Quite write trentender Houghton is Forest manager for the moment, he’s not had ahis chance as yet to build his team as yet, I’ll back him all the way until he actually fails. None of us really know what his tactics will be next season, we are all guessing, we’re probably guessing right, but in my opinion he deserves a chance, most on her are judging him on a team with no attacking ideas and no creativity in midfield, also on a few loan signings made when nobody wanted to come to Forest .
Would most of you not moan if you were sacked from your job, without being given the right tools to do it. Give the man his chance. AND Keep shouting for ENGLAND 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦕🦖dinosaurs RULE o, and you Bowie mate 👍🥃.

12.) 30 Jun 2021 11:52:59
Dream. TRex's tactics are well renowned for being defensive, one dimensional and not pleasing to the eye.
Yes Dinochrisrex is still in charge at Forest and will be until he messes up.

13.) 30 Jun 2021 14:09:52
As usual Fawaz you got the wrong end of the stick, I will try in future to simplify MY point.

14.) 30 Jun 2021 18:12:03
You just can’t get through to some people Trentender 🤣.

26 May 2021 17:02:01
So good news re academy, category 1 standard acheived. We are 1 of 26 clubs that have acheived this. Well done to the owner in supporting the academy financially and now club will also get more cash from football authorities to help with costs. Hopefully we can now attract more quality talent.
A good news story for the club.

1.) 26 May 2021 19:02:21
Good news indeed. Some on here has said in the past the club is a shambles. I've never agreed, the first team is a let down at the minute but behind the scenes look a lot brighter. We are backing local charities and working in the community. We're financially ok, thanks to the owner. He keeps backing his manager, even though their judgement has been sadly lacking. Get it right at the city ground, then we could become a new Leicester😉. I know a few on here are full of admiration for them😍.

2.) 26 May 2021 19:53:55
Sooner be the old forest, than the new Leicester.

3.) 26 May 2021 22:11:59
That’s an excellent outcome - well done forest a very positive story . Few more Matty Cash’s please!

4.) 27 May 2021 15:41:29
Are you saying we should play in Blue?

08 Mar 2021 22:04:42
Was listening to Talk Sport today where they were discusing fans complaiming at the keep ball and sideway/ back passing in the Premier League and the very high number of 1-0 wins and a lack of goals.
So I looked at Forest compared to current top 3 in Championship.
won 7 games 1-0
failed to score 6 games
scored just 1 goal in 11 games

won 8 games 1-0
failed to score 10 games
scored just 1 goal in 16 games

won 1-0 5 times
failed to score 5 games
scored just 1 goal in 14 games

won 4 games 1-0
failed to score 15 games
scored 1 goal in 14

Failing to score is the big issue.
scoring just 1 goal in a game we are on a par with top lot
winning 1-0 not too dissimilar
But interesting at the lack of goals even for promotion candidates.

1.) 08 Mar 2021 22:19:38
Norwich goal difference plus 26
Watford plus 22
Swansea plus 19
Forest minus 6
Your having a laugh. 🤣🤣.

2.) 08 Mar 2021 23:47:01
Well after all the hype i thought i'd watch Meghan and harry. last time something wwnt on that long was our game on Saturday. Didn't know what to believe more. Them 2 or the luke Freeman fitness DVD i got for xmas.

3.) 09 Mar 2021 08:01:31
Dear Bowiered, I found your post amusing, however you have invaded one's privacy, which I cherish dearly, so therefore I'm serving you with a writ.

Yours sincerely.

Good Old US of A.

4.) 09 Mar 2021 08:13:18
Classic Rogie 😊.

5.) 09 Mar 2021 08:23:20
Good to see they've gone to a country where they feel safe?
The one that's shoots first and asks questions after.

6.) 09 Mar 2021 08:29:25
Ff79 as far as I’m concerned they can go where they like as long as we’re not paying for it,

7.) 09 Mar 2021 09:01:10
Along with 90% of our players stevie f. Class rogie . saying nothing else until i see my solicitor 😂.

8.) 09 Mar 2021 09:27:07
FF79 as usual in your rush to try and be funny you have missed the point. never mind.

9.) 09 Mar 2021 09:52:32
Thats cus there is no point trentender.
I don't call 20 and fifty odd goals a lack of goals which is what they've scored we have scored 28.

10.) 09 Mar 2021 10:06:02
Trentender I Think you’ve just found another way of saying, we defend ok but don’t score enough goals,

11.) 09 Mar 2021 10:08:46
Dear BowieRed, in response to your counter legal action, I therefore retract my legal writ, on the understanding that you supply me with the following from my modest list of items (demands) in preparation for my gorgeous baby girl.
Make me CEO of Pampers.
An endless amount of designer Black Paternity Dresses (preferably none that a bird just pooped on)
Designer "Suits" for Harry.
Finally can you make it clear, even though he scored that quite wonderful goal against Holland despite strenuously denying this on many occasions. we never named "Archie" after Mr Gemmill.
Yours Most Sincerely

"What Meghan Wants, Meghan Gets" Markel.

12.) 09 Mar 2021 10:10:15
Was supposed to say 40 odd goals and yes stevie that's about all it says.

13.) 09 Mar 2021 10:22:38
Best i can do is a national health ginger wig Meghan. let's face it he's losing it. Andrew said he'd babysit though 🤭.

18 Feb 2021 17:41:09
So now its " no goals in the team, won't score, won't win games just scratch out draws.
Lets try and get some perspective.
We lose 1-0 to a very good Swansea side in play off position pushing for automatic places. They have conceded just 6 goals at home all season. We were better than them on the night but fell to one chance they created. On Saturday we drew 0-0 with another very good side that score for fun and have just come from Premier league and just beaten Burnley away in the cup.
So 2 games without scoring against quality sides. Hardly a disaster!
Whilst I have time in isolation I looked at goals situation in the Championship.
Norwich, Bournemouth and Brentford scoring for fun however, the chasing pack aren't exactly scoring for fun.
Swansea scored 36, failed to score in 5 games, scored 1 goal in 13 games.
Cardiff scored 42, failed to score in 10 games and scored 1 in 11 games
Watford scored 38, failed to score in 9 and scored 1 in 14 games
Boro scored 34
FOREST scored 31, failed to score in 13 and scored 1 in 10 games.
We ain't that bad when you consider since the Jan transfer window we are a far different team trying to make up for a shocking start to the campaign. These clubs mentioned are in the promotion shake up and we are in a relegation battle.
Ok we haven't scored in last 2 games but scored 5 in the previous 2.

1.) 18 Feb 2021 18:24:44
Trentender no one is saying half the things you are.
Its just been pointed out that we don't have many players contributing more a reliance on a just a few players.
Great performance last night but you don't get points for it unfortunately.

2.) 18 Feb 2021 18:58:11
What and how we were doing last season . Sometimes we were the underdogs and were nicking results . We are finding we have to work harder, it's coming be patient.

3.) 18 Feb 2021 19:45:07
Just watching nigella Lawson a lot of people on here would love to or am meringue?

4.) 18 Feb 2021 20:01:47
Totally agree, trentender. I think things are starting to look ok and have been since New Year. I'm on the march with Hughton's army anyway. COYR.

5.) 18 Feb 2021 20:27:01
I like hugtoun and want to stick with him for a few seasons think he will do well with us were not going anywhere this season I just wish he would try some of the youngsters for full games instead of some over payed has bins.

6.) 18 Feb 2021 20:32:20
Trentender as much as i appreciate what your saying mate. i really think nobody is denying we played well last night. The idea of the site is just to comment on what people think could happen. Its not going to make any difference at the end of the day. People are frustrated with life at the moment with this dam c.v.. And as the government advertised its good to talk. Even if it is bullsh#t myself included.

7.) 18 Feb 2021 22:37:39
Just inches and split second decisions away from bagging 3 goals last night . Such a shame as it was deserved and would’ve done wonders for our confidence in a victory for higher pressing tactics - never mind .

8.) 19 Feb 2021 13:29:38
Is there life on mars. Well were going to find out apparently. Just shows with a good team anything can happen. keep believing stay positive and most of all stay safe. 2-1 reds tomorrow 👌 COYR.

13 Feb 2021 22:02:59
So before todays game our resident suicidal moaners were predicting we would be slaughtered and the revival would be shown as a false dawn. But we play well, defend well and prevent Bournmouths goal machine from scoring. We get a point and its now 1 defeat in 11 games.
So now apparantly Cherries were there for the taking, they aren't that good.
Maybe that has more to do with good tactics and doing a job on them . can't some people give credit where its due.

1.) 13 Feb 2021 22:40:14
Class trentender.

2.) 13 Feb 2021 22:52:28
at last someone talking sense, ill take a point at swansea. give the man a chance. on paper he's the best manager since bc. i'm sure he will keep us up not fancy football but never mind. if we go down we might get the leather clad biker from bottom of the league wanders.

3.) 14 Feb 2021 09:21:37
On paper what toilet paper? we've had bassett Davis Hart and even megson and karanka had promotion on there cvs.

4.) 14 Feb 2021 10:34:49
Class 79.😁.

5.) 14 Feb 2021 10:44:31
Frank clark.

6.) 14 Feb 2021 10:57:52
Ff79 and o’ Neill, and MacLeish,

7.) 14 Feb 2021 14:43:50
Paul Hart, Frank Cark and Martin O'Neil were far better managers and have more trophies or success (apart from maybe Hart has less trophies) . CH is a competent but boring manager.

we do need a striker but in the mean time i'm sure we will set up differently against other sides. We have played 2 of the favourites for promotion and away to one of them, its all about tactics for each game.

Just because we have several centre backs doesn't mean that position isn't a problem. Obviously the manager doesn't think they are good enough. The problem will be moving on the not wanted players.

Norwich got Pukki for free and look what he did
Sheff Utd got McGoldrick for free and Sharp for next to nowt so there are bargains out there, big money does not always guarantee results.
Im just hoping the scouts out there are doing their job.
The last week of close season is always busy with transfers, looking forward to who we get and the start of the season.

Agree need a quality goal scorer that can convert more chances than Grabban . In the past we have had great teams on paper and failed miserably so maybe with players that have gone under the radar is the way forward. Teams like Brentford, Swansea, Wolves have signed players nobody had heard of and ended up playing fantastic football and aside from Brentford gone up. i'm not sure what over whelming players people expect us to realistically go for?

I agree with both of you, with the lads returning from loans there is no guarantee they will come good or if they do will it be for the whole season. But what they hopefully will do is give the club breathing space to pick up new players after the season has started and in the Jan transfere window.

City council planners over the years have ruined Nottms historic city centre, pulling down every decent building Nottm had and allowed monstrosities to be built in their place. I have absolutely no faith in them making worthy decisions.
