So a difficult day for the team today but resilient . Similar to Boro game except we survived the penalty.
Lots of grumbles that we didn't thrash the divisions bottom team but all games are tough.

Wigan for all their struggles have taken points off Forest, Derby, Huddersfield, WBA, Bristol C, Hull and Cardiff.

Its going to be a scrap lads.

1.) 29 Dec 2019 20:57:33
Personally were clutching at straws they have only won 4 games all season one of them was against us lol, if they had any kind of quality in the final 3rd today would of been another Sheffield Wednesday, if we have any kind of desire on the top 6 then yes we should be thrashing them, to be totally dominated by a team that hasn't won for 12 games can no how be made to look positive in your list there is 1 side in the top 6 being wba.

2.) 29 Dec 2019 21:01:43
Trentender. We are pretty woeful, particularly at home. We scrape games. Wigan are bottom of the league and yet they dominated us and but for a poor penalty should have taken a point. Cash was the only one at the races today defensively. You can't be a forest fan and say you are happy to watch that dross. How many managers and transfer windows do we need to fome up with the same conclusion?

3.) 29 Dec 2019 22:36:02
Figuereido was the best defender by far, did everything right and kept the back four in line.

4.) 29 Dec 2019 23:00:07
Totally agree. Too negative approach always. Something needs to change. Hard work watching forest at home despite the full houses!

5.) 30 Dec 2019 01:06:27
Yep I'd sack the coach, first six months in charge and we are so bad were 5th. 🤩🤩🤩.

6.) 30 Dec 2019 06:48:18
Too much bloody gloom and despair! Yes we got a lucky 3 points yesterday, but for those of us at KCOM on Thursday we saw a really energetic Forest beat Hull convincingly. Don’t underestimate what that took out of the squad! I believe SL knows that he can only rely on a relatively small squad and there needs to be more moving out of the dross this January and reinvestment in a small number of quality additions. Hefele, Benaloune, Carvalho, Mir, Muric must go!

7.) 30 Dec 2019 11:20:45
To be honest, if we won the prem some on here would still be moaning, that's just the way it is.

Good 3 points yesterday, back to back wins against potential banana skin opponents. Well done Samba on your penalty save.

Hopefully have Sow back for the next league game.

8.) 30 Dec 2019 14:46:59
We don't have a relatively small squad Tyke, it is huge. LOOOOOOL.

9.) 30 Dec 2019 18:38:50
RedCyclist. I said he could only “rely” on a small squad, there are far too may he cannot rely on!

10.) 30 Dec 2019 19:03:43
Tyke, I'd agree he can't rely on Mir or Muric. Silva and Carvalho are good on their day but totally unreliable. He also hasn't been able to rely on injured players. However there are some decent players he hasn't used or barely used at all yet.

Benalouane is decent but worrying on discipline. Jacob is a good player. Tyler Walker is a prolific goalscorer and not even in the squad. Brennan Johnson is a very good player and wouldn't have to do much to turn out to be more consistent than Silva and/ or Carvalho.

28 Nov 2018 22:17:44
Well, we will never score goals because AK is defensive minded and we won't be entertained. need a new manager, be gone by international break.
Oh and fancy paying 6 million for a crap striker.
Some advocated patience . vindicated I feel.

1.) 28 Nov 2018 23:35:30
Yes, it looks like we have the defence sorted as well. lol

09 Jul 2013 15:10:10
Rafik Djebboue to sign this week.

1.) Would be a great addition 39 goals in 56 games.

2.) Billy's back tomorrow

How good was Readings number 10 Swift. Totally ran the game . Just seemed to have all the time in the world on the ball and everything went through him akin to Grealish.
That's what we need and these are the kind of gems we need to be scouting.

1.) 23 Jan 2020 12:12:08
Is it just me but Bryce Samba does not look so assured. On sunday was rooted to his line for a lot of crosses.

14 Aug 2019 11:21:40
Positives from last night :
Goalkeeper looks confident and assured and made several good saves.
Ribeiro looked good, worked hard going forward as well as defending. Got a good touch.

Jenkinson played well though looked unfit.
Bostock will be a great player for us, demanded the ball, assured passing and tackling he made the side tick last night

Silva very busy all over pitch and a great flick and finish for the goal but too many passes went astray.
Sow solid
Mir worked hard but nothing came his way re creating a chance.
Appiah not used by our midfield as he got in to good positions, maybe a trust thing which will come.
The rest did what they had too and did ok.

In general the quality of the passing especially around the opposition box needs to improve to make that telling pass.
So far I think the acquisitions made by Head Coach have improved the squad but desperately need a striker that can create a chance for himself as well as poach goals.

1.) 14 Aug 2019 11:59:19
Unfortunately Trent, the all important striker you talk of won't arrive until the season is half done.
Poor business in the summer will see us struggle again.

2.) 14 Aug 2019 13:25:13
Everyone keeps saying about a striker and yes we need one, but if the pot is empty its empty doesn't make it bad business just means were keeping within ffp, the striker we all wanted would of cost a fortune that we clearly don't have, just hope the owner keeps that in mind when his finger gets itchy personally I don't see how he can demand success without having the financial clout to achieve it.

3.) 14 Aug 2019 13:45:18
Punt on Wilfred Bony? Currently training with a league 2 side I believe.

4.) 14 Aug 2019 14:28:02
Wages, and his bad injury that he had are off putting. Not so much Bony but Wall Flower.

5.) 14 Aug 2019 18:06:18
Prefer Boney M.

6.) 14 Aug 2019 18:34:06
Fbb we would at least be going hooray, hooray at games, just as long as the players do not play as if they are on holiday, or having anything to do with the dutchy. 😀.

7.) 14 Aug 2019 18:59:41
C T are you confusing Boney M with Musical Youth?

8.) 14 Aug 2019 19:41:46
Bonny is done. Had one good season.

9.) 14 Aug 2019 19:42:42
Pass. 😁.

10.) 14 Aug 2019 19:43:06
S_Getty for me one out of two is good, some days are better than others.

19 May 2019 22:06:57
New Forest kits are on Macron web site.

26 Feb 2019 18:16:22
Last night I witnessed the best atmosphere at the City Ground for a long, long time especially the last 15 minutes when the fans got right behind the team to lift them and carry them through to win.
The banners in Trent End before the game were class.
So proud to have been there and the team.

1.) 26 Feb 2019 19:11:54
Would have loved to have been there mate. roll-on May!!!

06 Jan 2019 12:30:15
Just looked at the first team squad for last years Arsenal cup game compared to yesterdays Chelsea cup game. Of the 27 man squad,19 have gone or out on loan.
Massive amount of work done by AK and for a reasonable amount of money.
This 20-25 million having been spent isn't bad in replacing so many . Especially half of it on one player.
AK has had to pick up bargains to fill places and make up numbers all be it better than we had.

League table last year we were 14th on 32 points, goal diff -9

now 7th on 39 points, goal diff +10
. I think we are making progress not spectacular but progress.

1.) 06 Jan 2019 13:03:24
Personally I think we have made a major step forward and progression.

With those 2 silly home losses to QPR etc and the draw @ Norwich we could be 6 to 8 points better off.

A few tiny adjustments and the rub of the green and who knows.

But compared to the Last bunch of seasons near the bottom of the table - I believe AK is taking this club in the right direction.

We probably are not ready for promotion but a play off place would be a remarkable achievement in my humble opinion.

2.) 06 Jan 2019 14:30:10
Meaty - good post although I’m sure warburton would say say he could have easily had another 8 points - they were the fine margins he spoke of.

One Area of progress I can see is the 5 points over Xmas , whilst still pathetic it’s less pathetic than recent seasons .

3.) 06 Jan 2019 15:33:47
Arsenal game 12 months ago was packed with academy players. If memory serves me right about 7 in total.
Under AK the academy has been binned and a lot of money spent. Some very poor signings as well.
We have progressed but in a disproportionate way in comparison to amount spent.

No home game for two weeks, no midweek games. Window open, owner present yesterday. Next week crucial to AK future whether we agree or not.

4.) 06 Jan 2019 16:49:23
I agree it’s crucial to his future. I don’t believe that the team should have consisted of Worrall, Brereton, Cash, McKay, Cummings, Smith, dowell Walker and clough as they just weren’t up to it, all ok prospects but not good enough to make up a large % of a championship team. I think AK has got it right persevering with cash. Grant won’t make it, Yates - can’t comment on him but I suspect not.

I wouldn’t have brought 5 season tickets personally had I have felt the club would continue to play so many academy players and youngsters on Ioan from other clubs.

I do agree though that the progress for the money spent is disproportionate and probably not sufficent - I think that’s a very fair point.

5.) 06 Jan 2019 17:23:34
I'd much prefer to have Smith in goal to pants,Worrall instead of heffle,He's wasted money on Watson, soudani,Heff, pants and the likes of janco goncalves Dias ansafarad are not as good as players he's released.
Time has come to buy quality not quantity and for no more Greek gifts from olympiacos.

6.) 06 Jan 2019 18:41:42
I don’t disagree with that

we do need a striker but in the mean time i'm sure we will set up differently against other sides. We have played 2 of the favourites for promotion and away to one of them, its all about tactics for each game.

Just because we have several centre backs doesn't mean that position isn't a problem. Obviously the manager doesn't think they are good enough. The problem will be moving on the not wanted players.

Norwich got Pukki for free and look what he did
Sheff Utd got McGoldrick for free and Sharp for next to nowt so there are bargains out there, big money does not always guarantee results.
Im just hoping the scouts out there are doing their job.
The last week of close season is always busy with transfers, looking forward to who we get and the start of the season.

Agree need a quality goal scorer that can convert more chances than Grabban . In the past we have had great teams on paper and failed miserably so maybe with players that have gone under the radar is the way forward. Teams like Brentford, Swansea, Wolves have signed players nobody had heard of and ended up playing fantastic football and aside from Brentford gone up. i'm not sure what over whelming players people expect us to realistically go for?

Stevie your contradicting yourself.
If Carlo thinks fans are fickle that's his opinion and is justified as much as yours, nothing to do with how many games you attend.
Just saying.

Its not a crap league at all. It means that its an even league which in my opinion is better than the Premier League where 75% of the clubs have no chance of winning anything or qualifying for Europe just hope to celebrate survival.

So Bong has played half a game and Costa 10 min and you say most fans have decided their crap. Really?
It's a squad game and Jenkinson is a steady defender that can step in if required. Diakharby needs time. From what I've seen of him he is trying too hard and needs to settle down. Not played that well as yet but who knows with time.

Stevie you are so sensitive and have double standards
did I say you were fickle?
so i'm a spoilt child for having an opinion oh and a cheerleading happy clapper
anyway this is all very childish.

If he was lucky he would score more.
Agree he's best we have had for a while.
