Being a financial person you take more notice of legal matters. If JJ Moore's loaned Forest money and it doesn't get repaid he not only has a charge over some properties around the City Ground that charge includes the City Ground.

Not certain how he could take possession to sell but he could charge Forest massively increased rents to force a sale. If people think Fawaz is smart then if he borrowed money before the deal was complete then he left himself wide open to having to repay the loan or lose property if it fell through.

Why would fawas have needed to borrow money from JJM. He made 15m at beginning of season from Burke pato and devries.

2.) 16 Jan 2017 10:33:26
Checking on Companies House website the charge appears to be on the Academy Training Facilities

3.) 16 Jan 2017 15:09:08
Fawaz was extremely niave in these negotiations. The americans offered some money up front to sweeten the deal and Fawaz took it like candy to a baby. I think the key word is negotiation and with the clubs ever dwindling stock, the price was only ever going to come down. There's a lot of figures being banded around but if the offer was 40m, Fawaz will live to regret not taking that money and running because in another seasons time, the club could be worth less than half of that.

4.) 17 Jan 2017 06:39:02
The city ground isn't owned by us it's owned by the council so would they still be entitled to it? surely they would only be entitled to assets that the club actually own?

Qoute from journo Alan Nixon on bird site. "Forest. To save asking question Greeks expect to get the deal done. Working on a sporting director and foreign coach. All on it for now". He's not usually far off the mark.

Be careful of taking in all he says. he's let his emotions rule him when it came to dougie. they are mates and he blocked anyone who didn't share the view of him being our saviour. let's hope he is right and doesn't let's his mates sacking get in the way.

My take on this season. There was one glaring gap in this side and that was the midfield. We have enough midfielders for the 2 sitting positions to fill 3 teams. However there wasn't one man to give us that attacking midfield option that could play that advanced role. Silva was inconsistent and lacked quality at times Carvalho was out of favour and failed to impress when given chance Semedo Yates Sow Bostock are all better defensively. At home we could have played 4-1-4-1 but again we didn't have 1 attacking midfielder let alone 2. If we have solved that problem the season would have ended so much better. If we can find those 2 quality players the rest of the squad and tinker with the formation at home we will be strong enough next season. However I would be surprised if Sabri gets the chance.

1.) 23 Jul 2020 16:51:09
Aren't Lolley and Ameobi attacking midfielders?

2.) 23 Jul 2020 17:07:42
No they are wingers or supposed to be. Hernandez of Leeds and Benerahma of Brentford are attacking midfielders who play through the middle the old inside left and right channel.

We haven't had decent one since Lewis McGugan.

3.) 23 Jul 2020 18:19:35
Lansbury would be good in this team.

4.) 23 Jul 2020 18:23:53
Thought majewski wasn’t bad for a season,

5.) 23 Jul 2020 18:27:15
So wingers don't get back to help their full backs as midfielders are supposed to do? To me Lolley and Ameobi are midfielders, Cash and Ribeiro Wing backs.

6.) 23 Jul 2020 19:43:59
He screwed up in the playoffs giving the ball away for thier last goal if i remember right stevie?

7.) 23 Jul 2020 20:40:55
Ff79 I’m not judging him on one game mate really, overall I thought he was ok, he had hot runs of goals, think he 6 in 6 after Billy’s return, , but I stand to be corrected on that, what we got now in midfield are 3 statues,

The problem of scoring goals at home has prevailed all season. We have scored only 24 goals in 21 home games now and have failed to score on 6 occasions some of them against poor teams. We. have won less than half of the games played at home this season. Won 10 drawn 4 lost 6 is not acceptable home form for a promotion chasing team. The manager has done a great job on tactics away from home but the formation at home clearly isn't working. You can only use the personnel available but we have got to find some formation that will bring more goals at home. It had come to a head just before the the virus break and even now we still seem to be unable to create chances at home. When subs are made it is nearly all like for like. No team continues to play the same way that's not working and expect to bring different results. The manager credited for his way performances needs to bring some flexibility to the tactics. at home if we are to succeed it is simply not good enough to keep on playing the same way.

Totally agree.

2.) 08 Jul 2020 15:07:47
The managers system is more successful against the better teams who will have the confidence to attack us home or away, last night was an exception, it’s when the poorer teams visit the cg and sit, and ask us to make the running our lack of creativity is shown up for all to see, the Jan window was a big opportunity missed for me, but who knows what financial constraints the club was under,

3.) 08 Jul 2020 15:42:46
O come on Stevie F! We got Diakhabi in the last window. .

4.) 08 Jul 2020 16:17:19
Bsered exactly! Lol.

Reason for lack of investment in January is now clear. We lost 25 million in 2019 and players wages rose by 8 million to nearly 32 million. It is clear ffp is now the driver behind recruitment and it may continue for the foreseeable future. It just illustrates the mess we are in with having a large under achieving squad. Promotion this season might be a necessity to avoid selling 1 or 2 of our best players.

syred

1.) 03 Mar 2020 13:54:33
Maybe that is a reason for the CFO leaving us? Failure to make inroads on balancing the books. We still have a lot of deadwood to remove and it's taking too long!

2.) 03 Mar 2020 15:12:03
Makes for painful reading really 31 million on wages is just bonkers especially being a mid table championship club ( obviously relating to several seasons down there) . Money has killed the game and it will only get worse. Imagine how many top flight players on 50, 60 or a 100 thousand plus a week who are rubbish, the mind boggles.

We Forest fans are just like the MPs over Brexit. If we had 8 choices of manager we would never be able to agree and would be so stubborn we wouldn't change our minds and would continually vote against the choice made when what is needed is to show solidarity and back one. We have a very experienced manager and coaching staff who if we could be totally honest have inherited a very expensive but average bunch of players. Now Lolley and Grabban have stopped performing at the level they were then we have no goal threat. This situation has arisen through the poor recruitment prior to this manager arriving and needs time to sort out not 14 games. We fans suffer from short memories as well. Although yesterday wasn't great it was better than some wins we had here under AK earlier in the season. We had enough chances to have won this game comfortably. So in conclusion stop this dynasaur nonsense get behind this manager and let him get us winning before you want to see us play like Man City that clearly we don't have the players for.

1.) 14 Apr 2019 11:46:46
Sounds like a lot of excuses for MON being poor.

2.) 14 Apr 2019 12:24:56
MON Has won more trophies as a manager than our last 15 managers put together so before you continue to insult him respect what he's achieved stop being impatient and let him try to turn things around. It wasn't as if AK s team selections were tearing up the league with stunning football.

3.) 14 Apr 2019 13:51:46
Syred, We have more trophies than Blackburn and Rotherham yet who were the winners?

4.) 14 Apr 2019 13:54:48
O'Neil missed the boat by at least 15 year's.
His hoofball style is horrendous to watch and he's easily out thought on the pitch tactical wise.
It's as if the players are not buying into his methods?
I'd be very surprised if these last 4 games aren't his last.

5.) 14 Apr 2019 15:54:34
Trophies in the past aren’t getting us to the playoffs or out of this league. I am judging him on the job at hand and it’s not a pretty site.

6.) 14 Apr 2019 17:04:18
Good call red 🎄 👍

Saw that someone had mentioned injury to our new centre half and coupled with a poor referee on Saturday made me reflect on the way the games going. Any semblance of a foul outside the penalty seems to more frequently attract a card these days. The booking of our new centre half for a tackle on the halfway line a good example. Inside the penalty area you can practically rip the shirt off a player and no action taken. I had a very good view of the incident that caused the head injury and it was a blatant late punch to the head by their GK. Anywhere else it would have been a free kick and a card possibly red. Likewise their assault on Pants late on. Anywhere else action would have been taken and a card shown. I know forwards have to go for balls but they do have the same duty of care that defenders have when they have to make last ditch tackles. Until referees start refereeing again and not out just to please their assessors standards will continue to fall.

1.) 28 Jan 2019 11:21:58
Must of been a good punch aswell if it has broke a bone in his skull.hope he's not going to be out for too long because he looks a decent no nonsense defender and we going to need him

2.) 28 Jan 2019 11:48:20
Said this last week mate different rules apply in the box lol basically referees and’ a’ grade bottlers

3.) 28 Jan 2019 15:02:41
I agree about your referee comments syred I mentioned some poor decisions made last game against Bristol City. The game has changed so much now that it appears that you can just breath on an opponent and you get booked. Plus the fact that the Ref in charge of the Wigan game needs an eye test. I also hope our new defender Yohan is not out for long but a broken bone on your skull doesn't sound like something you'd get over in a hurry.

To be honest Get Forward from what I saw of him in play offs I wouldn't have crossed the road to the pub to sign him. I may be wrong but in those 2 games he didn't stand out at all.

How many of us would have had David McGoldrick back. At 30 Ipswich packed him off and yet he's turned out to be one of Sheffield Uniteds players over the last 3 years scoring at a ratio of 1 in 4 including 2 seasons in Premier League. It's not always the age that's an issue it's knowing the player and getting the talent that's there out if him. That's what Peter Taylor used to do so well and something we need badly at this club.

I can remember when we were told that if we renewed our season tickets for division one the price would be the same when we were promoted with expectations that it would only be one season. Failed to get promoted so they out the prices up. Pay more for failure.

The problem with Watson he does the covering role in that midfield. His positioning and breaking up play is vital. It always a role that's totally unappreciated by most fans because he isn't running with the ball, making defence breaking passes and scoring goals. Other players may have more flair but do they have the defensive nous that Watson has. That's the key to his position and the excellent defensive record at the moment and I wish more fans would appreciate that istead of putting him down.

Have we been taken over by closet Derby fans trying to destroy us? I can't believe their Forest fans.

Nothing to do with the manager directly just that the Chairman has created such an unstable on field position with his hiring and firing they don't know who'll be managing them in 3 months time. Taylor a prime example. Who's going to want to choose us over a stable club?

Really not upset at Ruffles. Saw him in 2 play off games and not impressed. Whatever his attacking stats he defended very poorly in both games. Only time will tell whether we've missed out.

Your all right about excitement The most enjoyable game I've watched in a long time was the Forest Green v Newport second leg. Two teams giving everything on a water logged pitch going to to toe for 120 minutes and goals as well with a late twist. Little quality but loads of excitement.

I'm not defending Hughton's record this season but please stop being insulting to him. And far from 10/ 15 years ago it was 2017 when he got Brighton promoted. His career has given him lots of credibility far more than some people employed in this league. I'm not sure he's right for our fan base but given some of the crap performances by our so called attacking players he's getting the main job done for this season which is survival. He's been let down by some key players who have consistently under performed. Need a clear out and then see how it goes. Believe it or not Clough was not universally accepted by fans after a disappointing first 18 months. Don't write people off too soon.
