This is an extract from a handwritten poem found underneath the bench where Jaoao Carvalho changes after training. Not sure how I got it?

'Stevie, stevie why won't you pick me
Everyone sees my ability.
You pick Colback despite the lack
of height pace and not a trace of "you'll get a chance young Jaoa, I promise you".
On the bench again, it's getting cold come on Stevie let's be bold and give me a try! '

I think he feels a bit confused and left out, typical poet, eh. How about a run in the team Steve? Others have!

Cooper did reply, I've seen it.

Joao I picked you when you was fit
But as usual you were s**t
Jack might have no height or pace
But your an clown a damn disgrace
On the bench you were a farce
You got a splinter up your arse
Brennan Johnsons got more skill
And didn't cost us 13 mill
I've tried my hardest to get rid
But a fiver was the highest bid. 🎈.

2.) 26 Nov 2021 13:49:43
He can run home.

3.) 26 Nov 2021 14:37:59
Who did you say these poems were about 🤔😉.

4.) 26 Nov 2021 14:51:11
Red balloons 😂😂😂😂.

5.) 26 Nov 2021 15:11:17
The poem deserved those replies but 13 million? If he is our prize asset (financially), surely we can find a way to give him a run. Enough match time for us all and Carvalho himself to see that it hasn't worked out. It bothers me that a player with abundant skills can't fit in at NFFC.

6.) 26 Nov 2021 15:58:21
Norfolk red he’s already had more than enough chances,

7.) 26 Nov 2021 16:29:11
I say this till I,m blue (red) in the face ,if you won,t run you won,t play.
In the championship all mid field players just have to put the miles JC doesn’t end of .

8.) 26 Nov 2021 18:00:53
Taylor arter and Jenkinson are far worst and have actually cost the club more money with their wages, especially if you take into account they are international footballers.

9.) 26 Nov 2021 18:38:35
Stevie f so has taylor mate.

10.) 26 Nov 2021 19:11:43
Too right Bowie.
Anyways we are going to win tonight.

Just noticed on the BBC Sport website that the Championship fixtures category is placed in the hierarchy list well down after the Scottish League cup and the Womens super league. Not sure if this is harmless or an establishment sleight on the clubs in the league. Am I being to sensitive here or do we deserve to be there?

First post this season, seems an appropriate moment. Feel a bit flat while some of you might be excited about the next few games. Mixed feelings about the team. How are they feeling? Would you like to be a fly on the wall if they were chatting freely amongst themselves? Have we been too hard on the players or not criitical enough. Is there something we don't know at the club preventing the team from performing and getting results. It doesn't add up folks, I don't get it. I can't think of anything positive or optimistic to say, sorry. Where are we going?

norfolk red

1.) 16 Sep 2021 19:08:23
Its simple norfolk. Those players earn disgusting money and what ever the circumstances you sweat blood for the shirt. None have and that's the problem. If they respond better to another manager that's even worse. Why were they hiding and earning that sort of money?

2.) 16 Sep 2021 19:20:00
The buck stops with the manager. Simple as that.

3.) 16 Sep 2021 19:25:50
Norfolk my answer is this, and i'm going back to the old george best days my friend. If you love football and are good at it. No matter who your manager is you will shine in some way or another.

For me managers get too much stick for sh#te players. Now that's not me shouting out for hughton, just football in general.

Peter Taylor knew this along with god clough. Football is a simple game for me. Only made complicated by sh#te players with heads up there ar#es.

4.) 16 Sep 2021 19:44:29
brilliant bowie and nore ir kess whwt i implied above ref players and money.

5.) 16 Sep 2021 20:24:33
All sports players earn big bucks in the main, not their faults if TV and sponsors throw so much money at it.
No point harping on about it it's been happening for decades.
I personally don't believe the players don't care its more a case of strangers meeting strangers every six months as a player at forest.
Half are never given a proper chance by the coach and football thrives on team spirit, which is in short supply with our turnover of players.
I think you will see a big upturn providing they make the right appointment.

6.) 16 Sep 2021 21:27:46
The players are talented or a vast majority are. It’s more to do with attitude, character and mindset. Cloughs teams were full of players that gave everything for him and he had that skill to bring it out in his players. Man management is the key.

7.) 16 Sep 2021 21:55:37
So if that's the case cardiff because of there spirit you'd be ok with 79? don't get me wrong i totally understand what your getting at. But how can you justify that sh#te we watched last night. From players.

19 Mar 2021 19:32:55
It seems to me at this time of the season when most posters are clearly frustrated with what's happening at the club (again), that CH is just putting on the pitch a representation of the squad, NOT a team. Blackett Smith and Ameobi are recent names. He's given up a best team and meddling with formations. For me this is a manager who has given up for the season. So, two things: He is either been assured of his job next season, or he is on his way in June!
Which ever way you look at it, it's pathetic folks. Sorry!

1.) 19 Mar 2021 20:11:30
If the club are going to let the manager go then they should do it now.

If he is staying, which that is the way it looks then no more five or more loans.

No more players that have hardly played.

No more injury prone players, and no Oylmpicas players.

Make the manager be a tad more positive in the way the team plays.

2.) 19 Mar 2021 20:22:57
If Chris Houghton will be going in June isn’t it better if he goes now so the next manager King Billy or Nigel Clough can have time to look at the squad now so he can assess who he keeps and what he needs for the summer?
Poll results are in for weather we have a demonstration or not against maraknackers, Houghton and co.
Drum roll please.64 % say yes Demonstrate
36 % say no don’t Demonstrate
Feel free to add ideas about the demonstration tomorrow after we lose to Brentford Fc or anytime really.
Peace man.

3.) 19 Mar 2021 20:23:40
Norfolk red, the rest of the country has a red nose day. We have a red shirt day under this manager.

4.) 19 Mar 2021 20:25:16
Funniest team in championship.

5.) 19 Mar 2021 20:46:09
Bowiered, Forest have teams breaking down with laughter and still hardly score.

6.) 19 Mar 2021 20:50:51
Damsonred, of that sixty four percent only about ten percent would turn up, and nine per cent of them would walk off once they see the police on the way.

I do agree if getting of the manager do it now.

7.) 19 Mar 2021 21:33:25
king billy yes, nigel clough no. the lad deservers better than the sh. t storm hanging over forest. billy has the attitude and guile to get rid of the crap in the back rooms. first on the list DOF.

8.) 20 Mar 2021 06:04:15
Bombard them with demo emails I guess . Mind 79 tried that to get his money back and was totally ignored.
Just got to vote with your feet when crowds are allowed back, all meet up for a pint and a buger as usual then at 3.00 go home 🤣🎈.

9.) 20 Mar 2021 10:23:02
Doesn’t it make you proud to be British er no it doesn’t sad though does anyone actually care or give a damn about Nottingham Forest football club starting to think I’m the only one 🤔.

10.) 20 Mar 2021 10:27:49
By the way a demo would be an illegal gathering. It’s not the Met you’d be dealing with but it could cost you a fine. I understand the frustration totally and judging by all the players having a moan at each other in the Norwich game it’s got to the team. Morale and body language rubbish and the Captain Grabban doesn’t look bothered. We need to survive, get the 3 wins and 50 points then have a rebuild probably under a new manager.

11.) 20 Mar 2021 10:28:09
It’s going to be a long afternoon folks!

02 Mar 2021 10:55:30
A good point in the season now to think about CH and his future knowing how the trapdoor is released termly. Will he be gone or will he be the first to go more than a year. (bit like the buckin'bronco) . He has a team playing more confidently now so he might be tempted to stay. What would be the owners' end of season minimum fom him that would keep him here. My view: I like CH, but getting us up, I don't think so! Sorry.

1.) 02 Mar 2021 11:09:26
It's a tough call to make.
He has steadied the ship and has found his team.
The question is will the greek give him an opportunity to stamp his mark with the players Chris wants?
Stick with him.

2.) 02 Mar 2021 11:23:52
The manager will not leave of his own volition, the clubs choice will be based on either, did they demand a top six finish or are they impressed by what the manager has done since joining.

I said before it was made official that it will be boring football but he has at least has got more than one team promoted, so after having most of the term should the club keep him to dismiss the managers chances of promotion next term is harsh, add to that you say you like him hat seems odd.

3.) 02 Mar 2021 11:33:55
I think he will take us up and definitely be here next season, he's already planning for next season, will be interesting to see what sort of team he puts together.

4.) 02 Mar 2021 11:44:31
It would be utter lunacy to get rid of CH given what he has achieved so far with this team.

5.) 02 Mar 2021 11:45:13
if the greek gets rid of him we will be back to square one. as you have said he's steadied the ship, and i think he knows his core eleven. bring in two or three this summer get rid of the hangers on we might have a real go. and who knows we might be there to see it.

6.) 02 Mar 2021 12:15:35
Ijust feel he is the right manager/ wrong time, or vice versa. With our squad and their mentality at present we need a different character to Chris to get us up. I would love to be proved wrong Get Forward!

7.) 02 Mar 2021 12:28:57
Twist.

8.) 02 Mar 2021 13:19:10
Keep Him
doing a great job
his transfers have been far superior to what we have had in recent years, and with quite a few players out of contract in June I feel quite confident he will once again bring in quality.

9.) 02 Mar 2021 14:14:24
Only thing is trentender the players bought in are loans to sign them would be very expensive.
Fulham will want 8 million for knockheart and he's hardly gping to except less than his 35k aweek.
Christie would be a few million and is on prem wages same as jk from benfica and Freeman.
So is you want these players to stay i would not expect any other players of quality coming in without the sales of worrall and mighten to finance it.
At the moment we will survive with this team but its a very expensively put together squad to just survive, it lacks goals which if you keep the above mentioned players won't change, that's the dilemma.

10.) 02 Mar 2021 15:10:07
Definitely keep him no doubt given time he will get us up and bonus his ff79 don't like him so it nauses him up lol sorry 79 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

11.) 02 Mar 2021 17:01:42
I cannot believe we're even having the conversation. He's inherited an absolute mess of a squad but has still managed to pull away from the relegation places. He's clearly knowledgeable regarding prospective signings. We're lucky to have him!

12.) 02 Mar 2021 17:27:54
Well said sgetty mate👌.

14.) 02 Mar 2021 17:39:38
RedSgetty, i think norfolk red was pointing out that the club with its policy of sacking managers when not in the top six.

Their opinion is that even if the manager stays he would not take Forest up which is fair enough, i did find that odd considering they like the manager but they made it clear their thinking behind that.

The managers progress with the team has been steady and you make some valid points but now the football term is getting to where it matters most you will always get the topic crop up when everything is taken into account.

The owners statement seems more like a clever rouse to give SC his cards. He can now sack him next Sunday if we lose embarrasingly. It won't be seen as harsh because he was given him time but look what teams we ae playing! I suppose a point might keep him in post until Man U, then only six games left. However good luck on Saturday Steve. no pressure mate!

Seems to be a pattern of Forest lifting themselves against the in form/ quality sides and not performing when expected to win easily. Could this be because:

1 Be live on Sky?
2 Catch the eye of a new employer maybe?
3 Have mates to impress in those teams?
4 Have no genuine motivation for the club
5 Push their transfer value up?
Who knows? Any other reason?
By the way. If Joe Lolley wasn't tackled during the match, he would be back to top form!

I posted way back when Chris came that he wasn't the right man for the job at this time even though he is clearly a quiality manager. You are right about the problems away from the pitch, something we don't know about is embedded and it is major. Are we expected to fail for a bizarre financial reason or somehow succeed by sheer luck on a shoestring with sub standard players?
Whatever it is, this is grossly unfair on the fans and to some extent the players.
