Hi all,

Anyone heard anything about where Grabban is going? I’ve had a couple of people say something about Wednesday or Sunderland? IMO we should offer him a part time coaching role.

OMRIFTT

1.) 27 May 2022 08:58:22
If he’s a qualified coach maybe, but it’s coopers decision.

2.) 29 May 2022 11:23:27
Grabban lives in London and that’s where his family are. He rents out his place in Nottingham so I doubt he will stay with us.

3.) 31 May 2022 20:47:39
Are you sure about that Rutland as I know he's had alit of work done at his Nottingham pad and know the guys that did the work.

4.) 01 Jun 2022 13:27:00
Never entirely 79 but my mate also does work on grabbans flat and he said Lewis lives in hotel as his wife moved back to London.

£14m + £2m in addons agreed between villa and Forest for Cash. Sad to see him go but that’s a good amount for a young player. I’d imagine we get £5m upfront of that with the rest spread over his contract period, then again I’m speculating.

Motivation shouldn’t be hard for the players next season. i'm interested to see what happens in the next 6 weeks. I’d imagine the players get a mini break from football of say 2 weeks then back at it for preseason. In those two weeks I think we will see a bit of movement on the player front. Whether that’s out goings, I’ve heard £40m for Worrall and Cash, Watson on a free, or incoming, Lyle Taylor, Colback as crews plus one or two other neat little signings.

I hope that Carvalho is sold for a good chunk, I’d take £5m so we atleast get some money back, this money can then be reinvested, and hopefully we will be able to get a push. I’m not overly concerned by the teams coming down, or up.

OMRIFTT

1.) 27 Jul 2020 09:11:22
Carvalaho is worthless. We won't get a fee. As for a break? It should be business as usual.

2.) 28 Jul 2020 15:02:02
Omrifitt reinvest? We’re still paying for carvallho mate.

15 Jun 2017 16:55:44
Got to say, the team is shaping up nicely. I think even if we sell Britt our strike force looks good. Front 4 of Cummings, Osbourne, Clough and Mahoney? All young, all quality. To me it's sorting out the defence and trying to get rid of Hobbs. We need a good CB and a good DM. If we can get Britt for £10m plus leadbitter I'd be happy. That gives us a bit of money to improve the first team and have a quality addition in midfield.

OMRIFTT

1.) 15 Jun 2017 19:58:36
To let Britt leave to another championship club would be madness imo.

2.) 15 Jun 2017 20:18:46
Agreed.

3.) 15 Jun 2017 20:24:23
I agree, if the lad has not asked to leave and specified a particular club why aid a fellow Championship club. I do believe Wolves have no chance, they were not too many places above us last season. Someone said if we sell BA we are showing no ambition, if BA goes to Wolves he has no ambition.

4.) 15 Jun 2017 21:36:43
Boro are hardly going to be our rivals next season if we are being honest.

5.) 15 Jun 2017 21:38:58
He will not go to Wolves, Britt ain't Portuguese or a Mendez reject! Plus they core afford him! 😂😂😂.

6.) 15 Jun 2017 22:57:26
UTF on a downer before a ball is kicked, that's the spirit!

7.) 16 Jun 2017 06:28:35
How's saying that we won't compete with boro putting a Downer on the season already?

8.) 16 Jun 2017 09:28:39
Well it kind of is, isn't it?

9.) 16 Jun 2017 10:19:39
UTF

Newcastle, Norwich, and Villa were the favourites to go up last season, only Newcastle went up. There is no certainly Middlesbrough will go up.

10.) 16 Jun 2017 11:50:03
I never said anything about boro going up. iv said we won't be competing with them. totally different things.

11.) 16 Jun 2017 12:11:24
UTF

Yes you are right, you did not say they would go up, with where Norwich and Villa finished who is to say Middlesbrough will not finnish in a similar position. Warburton might form a squad to be near a mid table finish. Who at the start of the season thought Huddersfield would go up, the Championship is unpredictable.

12.) 16 Jun 2017 14:21:54
Like I said we won't be competing with boro. boro we're pretty good in defence last season in the prem but struggled to score, they keep that defence up and get Britt in we won't be challenging them.

13.) 16 Jun 2017 17:28:31
UTF! The sun is out! It's summertime! Get your Forest shirt on! Get a few down your neck, and lighten up mate!? 🍻🍻🍻.

14.) 16 Jun 2017 19:05:39
The sun has been out and iv been sat there fishing and was in the most relaxed mood you could ever be in and that is why I know what I'm saying isn't a heat of the moment thing, it's how I see it.
i would be having a few beers but iv got a 3hr drive ahead of me in a short while and that wouldn't be the best idea 😵.

15.) 16 Jun 2017 19:52:49
Think fishing season started early for some. lol🐋🐋.

16.) 16 Jun 2017 22:48:36
Boro, have more money to spend and will most likely have a better squad on paper, but you don't win anything on paper. We'll give them a good game. With two goalscorers, bright young talent with Clough, Bereton et al we will be awesome. 2 more dynamic midfielders and we will be a match for anyone. COYRs.

Read a report Derby only have 9 senior players and are under a transfer embargo. We could help, maybe send them Bong and Jenkinson and maybe even Arter. Good old relegation fodder!

OMRIFTT

1.) 20 Jul 2021 12:46:11
And carvalho, Blackett and taylor .

2.) 20 Jul 2021 12:47:55
Oh and Cafu!

3.) 20 Jul 2021 15:05:48
Cuddly toy, fondue set.

Toaster. Sandwichmaker. Cuddly Toy!
Woo Hoo!

5.) 20 Jul 2021 15:51:20
I'm surprised none of u mentioned Houghton 🤣 how's everyone doing hope all is well.

6.) 20 Jul 2021 16:16:11
"Nice to see you Skeggs (back on here), to see you nice! "

7.) 20 Jul 2021 16:27:43
Oh and da Costa!

8.) 20 Jul 2021 16:46:40
Hi skegs 👍 class rogie 😂.

9.) 20 Jul 2021 18:04:56
The weakness is Hughton, you need someone to take a team of misfits and make then great, i.e Mr Clough. The only manager at the moment who could do that is Chris Wilder. Get him here! .

12 Jul 2021 15:47:58
Ive seen a few rumours going round, usual stuff like we’re going back for garner, we’re going in for Clarke etc. I’d go for Wilson if he’s available, I’d also think getting reach and Westwood on frees would be a good bit of business, Westwood is excellent competition for Samba and Reach is a bit of experience on the wings. Talk of getting in a striker, I’d look no further than Johnson and Mighten. Not necessarily as line leaders but Johnson has that but of naus and could bring players in and Mighten has pace to spare and could force teams to play back. For me lolley would be complementary to this too as he loves to drive into the middle, which draws players in opening up space for the other two to get into.

We’re only 13 points outside the playoffs with 18 games to go!

OMRIFTT

1.) 10 Feb 2021 07:54:24
Sadly to get in play offs we’d probably have to win 14 out of the 18 I reckon lol.

2.) 10 Feb 2021 08:37:12
It’s on then Stevie 👍🤣.

3.) 10 Feb 2021 10:47:31
aint going to happen sadly.

4.) 10 Feb 2021 10:51:04
Ha Ha, deffo, we are a shoe in!

What could possibly go wrong:)

5.) 10 Feb 2021 11:35:46
I was thinking the same thing OMRIFT. then I sobered up!
🤭🤭🤭.

6.) 10 Feb 2021 11:51:17
Its going to be something of that order yeh. 70 points last season got Swansea into playoffs (sorry) but this time, it's shaping up to be more like 75, so I'd say 14 wins is right on the money.

7.) 10 Feb 2021 13:51:44
Two wins against Bournemouth and Swansea and were flying . or perhaps take one at a time!

04 Jan 2021 11:50:13
If I’m honest I think the issue is Grabban. Cash going hasn’t helped because from what I’ve heard he was a good lad and brought positivity. I wouldn’t be upset to seem Grabban shipped off and replaced with someone from a lower league. I think maybe it’s time to send Lolley off too. We must keep Worral and make him captain.

OMRIFTT

1.) 04 Jan 2021 15:51:28
We need to be looking for a new goal scoring striker now. we need a big man too as something different.

03 Dec 2020 06:51:01
I don’t think it’s a coincidence Worrall is back and we looked more resolute. I’m excited to see him and McKenna getting time together.

OMRIFTT

1.) 03 Dec 2020 07:13:06
Desant result last night, worry is would Colbeck have played if fit?. Big man won't be happy if he's sat in the stands.

2.) 03 Dec 2020 07:30:32
Not sure he will play them together OM, underwhelmed by McKenna personably .

3.) 03 Dec 2020 07:33:58
Why would you drop Figs after last nights performance.

4.) 03 Dec 2020 09:47:31
It made me smile that we kept a clean sheet with the 3 defenders everyone seemed to want to drop yesterday keeping their places and the only one they wanted to keep was injured. Just shows what we know. I personally think Figuerdo gets blamed for everything at the minute but he's not that bad a defender and always puts in shift. Glad to see he was part of the clean sheet last night. He has his faults but in the bigger picture no more than anyone else at the moment.

A point is a point and stops the run of defeats and may be something to build on. It just seems all our attacking options (Lolley Knockeart AMeobi and the rest) other than Taylor are out of sorts at them moment and we need them to get their mojo back to turn this season around.

I’d keep Sammy he’s a good threat and is still in his 20s. i'd try to get a pay day for Lolley though he just seems to be injured too much.

Knockaert has always been a good player. I’ve always thought he was Class, I remember him scoring against us once and simply just celebrated calmly didn’t go over the top and got on with the game. I also remember James McClean scoring against us and shushing us with his middle finger to his lips, no class.

I’m extremely happy with this. I’d imagine we will go 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 under him. We might even go 4-4-2!

I can’t see him going 343. It’s a good formation but I still think our best formation is still 4231

Samba
Preston Worrall McKenna LB
Yates Colback
Lolley Johnson Mighten
Taylor

I also think we could have Johnson or Mighten up top too.

It was a decent performance from us, Mighten is getting better and better, played all along the top. Fernandes looks the part, Samba was confident and catching crosses, all in all was a solid performance.

For me I would take someone like Howe or maybe even Dyche. Both have done solid jobs with little budget and elevated pretty average teams to higher levels. The other guy I think would elevate us is Rodgers.

I don’t understand why mount was left on the pitch post 60th minute. When you have Grealish, you play him. I also don’t understand why you get your best penalty taker going first, he should have gone 3rd or 4th. Never ever ever ever let your youngest taker take the last one.

I’d like 3 at the back, gives a bit more freedom for the midfield and full backs. I’d go:
Pickford
Stones Maguire Mings
TAA Rice Trippier
Foden Grealish Sterling
Kane

Or be brave and play Sterling up top and saka on the right.
