The Telegraph are saying we have agreed terms for Sosa and that another centre forward is on the radar. That for me would cap off a great transfer window. Cannot wait until Saturday.

Providing we can keep hold of Danilo.
15 Aug 2024 11:37:38
Thats not what RHR thinks.
15 Aug 2024 18:55:47
Well we really need another centre forward but depends who he is.
08 Aug 2024 06:57:52
According to the Talleres president we agreed a 15 million euro deal for Ramon Sosa then changed the agreement. Strange one.

Other irons in the fire?
Obviously want him for less than the asking price?
10 Aug 2024 10:48:12
If the deal is not in writing, then it's just hearsay. Argentinian President probably saving face with their club's fans.
21 Jul 2024 19:40:24
Reading that Che Adams is off to Italy. Hallelujah!

22 Jul 2024 09:32:41
Thank God for that…. ??????.
22 Jul 2024 23:52:37
Ienacho then?
24 Jul 2024 12:41:44
Some agent reported that Forest and Ipswich are talking to Iheanacho's agents.
A lot on here are saying he's no good, possibly because he didn't have a good season last year. The only point I'd make on that is that his scoring and assists record in the Prem is better than any player on Forest's books.
26 Jul 2024 10:46:47
I don't mind Iheanacho tbh. I thought he looked lazy at city. He started working hard at Leicester and I reckon he would be a good signing. Don't know what other prem hardened strikers are out there.
28 Jul 2024 22:59:41
Ieanacho off to Saville another bullet dodged?
Doubt they where ever on the list
Just paper talk.
02 Aug 2024 16:15:07
Wasnt keen on Adams or Iheanacho but we do need another striker with Awoniyi still to feature pre season and Wood definitely in his veteran stage.
20 Jul 2024 12:42:28
Have read and heard that Taiwo wasn’t best pleased with game time last season even considering the injuries. The fact that Wood came in and played well didn’t help. With iheanacho coming in he could be on the way out to West Ham. Gutted to read it but if there’s 30mil on the table for him I’d book him the Uber.
Second thing I’ll share is on Moscardo. Owned by PSG but played with Carlos Miguel at Corinthians. Young CDM and could be a long term replacement for Yates when he inevitably gets snapped up by a top half team. C. Miguel is pushing both with the club and Moscardo to bring him over.
Probably still need another striker and winger.

Glass, just my observation on Awoniyi, I think he is very religious, he's playing with young players, who maybe don't speak and act as Awoniyi would like. And the last thing you want is a Billy Graham in the changing room, eye rolling and tutting at the other players As for Ryan Yates, he will have to be carried kicking and screaming out of the City Ground before he left, if he thought he needed more money he wouldn't bother management, he would start a window cleaning round, around West Bridgeford. Yates won't leave Nottingham Forest, future manager for sure ??.
21 Jul 2024 13:17:21
Vespa, not sure what his religion has to do with anything here.
Completely agree on Yates. But might start doubting it slightly if we can’t put together a team who can push for top half at the very least.
21 Jul 2024 15:33:54
Someone I work with, makes his religious opinions very vocal, so makes working with him very awkward, and when he comes into the staff room the whole atmosphere changes ( Christian by the way).
21 Jul 2024 21:05:01
Posts on here only get more accurate when people stop making stuff up, hilarious.
Awoniyi is and has always been first choice striker when fit.
23 Jul 2024 17:15:22
I hope that wasn't targeted at me Ginger, because it's the truth I do work with a religious zealot. And nobody can complain, because he can say he's being bullied for his beliefs, religion don't you just love it. ?.
{Ed001's Note - why would he be aiming that at you, when it was clearly aimed at the original post?}
24 Jul 2024 14:06:14
Sorry, may have misread, not trying to start an argument, always try to post pleasant posts?.
30 Jul 2024 20:02:44
Gingerkid - do you think Taiwo will still be number one in 3 weeks? Woody ended last season so strongly for us?
05 Jul 2024 14:33:04
This is one of those rumours that won't go away. We are in for free agent forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho has scored 42 goals and provided 25 assists across 196 English Premier League games for Leicester City and Manchester City, averaging a goal contribution every hundred and seventeen minutes.

06 Jul 2024 10:18:38
And Che Adams being mentioned again he's a free agent now.
06 Jul 2024 22:24:20
Both I'd rather swerve but the will only be signed as squad players and for nothing other than wage demands.
12 Jul 2024 16:10:28
I don't think either quite good enough. We spend £30m+ on a DCM player but need to looking to spend big for a goalscorer who can come in and make the no 9 shirt his own if necessary ie Awoniyi and Wood injured as might well happen.
14 Jul 2024 23:47:34
30 million doesn5 buy that striker though
Jackson at Chelsea says it all
Kevin Campbell back in the day was a sickness for two seasons, but then did the business rest his soul
Players get injured and some find it hard to shrug off
Strikers are the most expensive commodity, so 30 million is not going to get you alot, unless you pay that for a very young player and it pays off.
03 Jul 2024 11:37:53
Don't know how true this rumour is.
The centre-back [Murillo] is of the belief that Nottingham Forest are the stepping stone for him to join a big club.
“It was my opinion, because I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I had that thought. I said: ‘I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year and then go to a big club. ’ I had this in my head, ” Murillo explained.
Elsewhere, the figure we are asking is quoted as £70M.
We are said to be looking at 23-year-old, Lyon centre back, Jake O’Brien.
Another option on the radar is the experienced John Egan - another centre back - who has just left Sheffield United and is a free-agent.

04 Jul 2024 00:10:54
Egan would be a good sign in and cheap.
10 Jul 2024 12:37:09
what are you smoking, he's dreadful.
01 Jul 2024 10:45:57
What is happening regarding Niakhate and Mangala? Have the sales gone through? If not, will they, and for how much, and will they be included in last years figures or are we expecting another points deduction next season?

01 Jul 2024 11:51:09
Should definitely enable us to comply with FFP mate.
01 Jul 2024 12:36:35
I sincerely hope so but, with the relationship between Forest and the PL I'd like that confirmed! ! !
01 Jul 2024 13:58:47
Mate, the accounting period only ended at midnight last night. It will be many weeks before the Prems compliance gurus have worked their magic. I think some people think it just a case of a player signing on the dotted line and a quick bank transfer of funds. I believe from what I’ve read from legal reports that teams can still count transfers AFTER 30 th June if an agreement has been made between clubs even if the funds and players have been exchanged.
I understand we fell foul last season by trying to get Johnnos transfer included before 30 th June but it was 3 full months before he went to Spurs ( during which time he played 4 times for us and was in negotiations to go to Athletico Madrid which scuppered our argument somewhat.
I’d think it would be October time before we know. Until then no news is good news. I d think we would have learnt from last seasons deductions. ???.
01 Jul 2024 14:11:55
Sorry, that should read “even if players and funds have NOT been exchanged “.
01 Jul 2024 20:32:57
Both deals have fell through.
01 Jul 2024 22:39:57
Where did you hear this?
02 Jul 2024 15:48:47
Niakhate has definitely gone through and Mangelas transfer clause has been activated and will be confirmed on his imminent return from the Euros after Belgiums defeat by France mate. Plus the voyage of Odysseus continues with his next adventure in Newcastle …….
Alls well! ??
Plus I think young Anderson will be a big hit at the WFCG I predict. I also like the return to Dane Murphy’s strategy of buying young players with a big sell on value.
I’m reluctant to say this too early friends but I see a glimmer of optimism and common sense creeping into our transfer policy!
02 Jul 2024 17:09:55
I hope it is a fantastic time at Nottingham Forest for Anderson, and bringing young eager players is great, but as with Aquilera, will he be moved on to one of Mr M 's other teams?.
02 Jul 2024 17:38:39
Just read that Mangalas gone, transfer complete.
29 Jun 2024 16:04:52
Elanga for Elliot Anderson does not strike me as a good deal a flying winger for yet anotherCM.

30 Jun 2024 07:22:41
I don't understand it either, MUNMAD. We haven't got many attacking players as it is and we've got quite a few central midfielders. A strange deal.
30 Jun 2024 11:46:13
Elanga is not part of the deal, he's staying.
27 Jun 2024 11:19:28
Nikhate to Olympic Lyon.

28 Jun 2024 14:25:34
Really, Where did you hear that? ??.
28 Jun 2024 16:02:34
Waiting and hoping it will be confirmed. Would make any sale of Murillo on our terms.
28 Jun 2024 16:48:32
We might not need to sell Murillo. Selling Niakhate and a few others could help us get over the PSR threshold and we won't have to sell him, MGW or CHO.
28 Jun 2024 22:08:50
That would be the ideal scenario. Fingers crossed.
30 Jun 2024 11:46:51
Niakhate is a done deal.
23 Jun 2024 19:56:31
Probably just lazy journalism but we're supposedly after Gnonto from Leeds.
Whenever I've seen him play I've thought he's a right pain in the arsenal so it's a yes from me if it's true.
Agree3
Disagree2
24 Jun 2024 15:23:33
He’d be a good challenge to the already excellent wingers we have in CHO and Elanga. He looks fast and tricky when I’ve seen him for Leeds and Italy.
It’s a yes also from me provided it doesn’t cost us points under FFP.
24 Jun 2024 19:24:13
Not heard a dickie bird about the interest in CHO from Spurs and others, thought he would be gone after all the speculation.
11 Jun 2024 21:38:31
Forest are looking for offers for Matt Turner, there interest from his own country the USA.
