I bumped into Michael Dawson at a garden centre in East Bridgford earlier today. I told him we needed him back and with a big smile on his face he said "next week, next week".

I hope so.

Hope you didnโ€™t bump into him too hard, heโ€™ll be out injured again ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ Great news if true though, we could do with him back asap. Great player and organiser.

2.) 01 Nov 2019 09:23:21

Don't blame Lamouchi, don't blame Diakhaby, don't blame other subs who came on.

We're winning 1-0 away at a side that's on fire, there are seconds to go, the ball is safely heading back towards our goal. What don't you do? You don't give away a needless free kick and allow the opposition to get everyone up and pump a long ball into our box.

Worrall is a good Championship footballer, but he might struggle to get into MENSA. He needs to learn. and quickly!

Loving Feeling!

1.) 04 Jul 2020 15:23:43
Ridiculous to blame him: the shortest player on the pitch tries to save the goal, and it could have been the tallest. Worrall has played brilliantly this year, no need to scapegoat him like others did early on.

2.) 04 Jul 2020 15:30:41
You have your opinion and I have mine.

3.) 04 Jul 2020 15:59:02
Heโ€™s made a mistake so he should be pulled up for it. Heโ€™s had a good season but has just cost us two massive points and Iโ€™m sure he will admit that but also learn from it. Gutted we didnโ€™t get 3 points but Iโ€™m not betting myself up about it or getting on worrals case.

4.) 04 Jul 2020 18:42:10
Good post 2tone .

5.) 04 Jul 2020 22:32:20
The facts are we win few if any headers in either box. We have a keeper who is worse than our last for being rooted to his line and when he comes for a cross looks like a 4' cocco the clown. His casualness is always a worry letting balls drift across our box.

How many times we turned attack into defence in the name of keeping the ball is a joke as it always ended up back at our under pressure calamity keeper.
Wasteful finishing from Grabban and mighten no composure and this awful game should have been put to bed. How many last gasp goals have we conceded and how many far post headers do we miss. Its this issue thst bites us as when your luck runs out you get found out.

6.) 04 Jul 2020 22:33:08
Mate?
Aren't you forgetting his acrobatic goal line clearance against Sheffield Wednesday?

Apologies if this has already been mentioned by someone, but if not, you may be interested to know that there is a Match of the Day special on tomorrow featuring classic FA Cup quarter finals from the 70's and 80's and it's going to feature West Brom v Forest.

It's on at 4pm, Saturday.

Was that the game we slaughtered them? That was the last time I went there.

2.) 20 Mar 2020 20:42:17
5 nil was it?

3.) 20 Mar 2020 21:03:31
I could be wrong but I think we lost. Didn't Cyril Regis score a better?

4.) 20 Mar 2020 21:22:24
We definitely destroyed them in the seventies at theirs and I was there at least four or five.

5.) 20 Mar 2020 21:36:19
I went to a lot of games that season but I think I missed that one. You might be right, but let's confer after the match.

Some of you may already have seen this video, but if not, I hope you enjoy it. It's 23 minutes long so grab a coffee and settle down. Or for you Skegsjay, grab a Stella.

This Is Nottingham Forest documentary

{Ed033's Note - You could change the playback speed to 1.5 if you don't have 23 minutes.

Best video I've ever seen couldht stop smiling all the way through. Also nice to see Paul McGregor being interviewed, I remember him making his debut and he had a lot of potential there was another young kas at the time but can't remember his name he played a few times for us. I always thought they'd ge the next best thing.

2.) 06 Mar 2020 00:15:21
I managed to watch a bit at work earlier couldn't get to watch it all and straight onto bar tonight but finish work at 6 tomorrow night so will sit there with a few Stella's and watch it all properly ๐Ÿป๐Ÿป๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜.

3.) 06 Mar 2020 07:20:51

4.) 06 Mar 2020 08:22:40
It would have been Howe for sure.

I've just noticed that Carvalho is on the bench for Flamengo. Maybe we signed the wrong one by mistake!

Just back from Birmingham and thought i'd share a few observations.

Too much long ball for the first hour. Murphy battled manfully but can't be expected to bring the ball down from 7 feet in the air when competing against two central defenders. Biggest problem was that we didn't win enough second ball following Murphy's aerial battles that resulted from the long ball tactic.

General passing and movement was poor for an hour but changed when Grabban and Bonatini were introduced as the extra man up front and their greater movement seemed to create more pressure and openings.

Biggest transformation followed the introduction of Carvalho who added skill, guile and neater passing. His movement and vision seemed to click Forest up a gear and helped create real opportunities for us. It's not his fault Forest paid what they did for him so I think we need to get behind the lad as he has real skill and can help open up defences.

Milosevic looked uncertain, but that's not surprising given he's only just arrived. Bonatini looked confident and lively and happy to give it a go. I'm not sure why Osborn has received criticism as once again he gave everything.

Sadly, Gueddy looked a shadow of his former self, despite his excellent work ethic.

2-0 flattered Birmingham big time. They looked average at best and were not tested by us until the last 20 minutes when we really upped our game. Neither did they put us under any sustained pressure.

In summary, a questionable long ball aporoach didn't work for us, but we looked more cohesive and played further up the pitch once we'd got more fire power and passing ability on the pitch.

Great turn out from Forest's away contingent as always!

Why donโ€™t our managers have a go from the bloody start. Listening to posts we are going backwards again. Keep saying it would rather loose 4-3 than watch boring football. Brian Clough must be turning in his grave. What was the quote, if football was meant to be played in the air pitches would be in the clouds.

2.) 02 Feb 2019 21:49:35

Very observant Sgetty.
Good informative post L F.

4.) 03 Feb 2019 08:06:41
I agree rational and sensible post LF from someone who actually watched the game rather than listen or read rumours sites. MoN is a good manager and he will learn and we will not see the same side next week

Apparently this story is a case of Chinese whispers. Bill Kenwright was overhead in conversation with his partner Jenny Seagrove in a West End restaurant by a reporter who only heard Ken's answer. Jenny had asked "what would you like for Christmas darling? " and Ken replied. "Ooh I'd like cash for Christmas please"
