Omg. that's all I'm saying. some excellent strikers moved this window. we end up with a guy whose record of 9 goals in 100 odd games is absolutely disgusting. all the fanfare about new recruitment setup etc and that's the best we can do? Japanese guy turned us down . he'd of been a buy. makes you wonder why leave it so late. if the money was there to spend. why leave it till last minute?

Thing is we just don't know who we have been in for. We could have gone for both him and Hourihane, but neither would come to us at the moment.
We are not going to attract the best players because we are simply not a great place to come - low league position, unstable management team, etc.
If I were the agent/ dad of a player I would be choosing Sheff Utd over Forest every day of the week.

Again. clueless on the ball, no urgency going forward, nobody available making runs and no quality in final 3rd. It was slow and pedestrian. how are we going to break teams down and get through there lines playing like that. As for Bong I have no words. him and samba to blame again. This is going to be a very long season. Recruitment needs to up its game. other clubs are finding gems and Hughton needs to get em drilling on the training ground. quick football, movement drills. fundamentals. I really don't think he's got it in him though. he's never played the best football has he? Positive from today we were much better set up 442.we get a proper box to box No8 to partner garner may solve a few problems.

Despite everything going off and Hughton not having a clue how to set up a football team I really thought with us sorting the backroom team out, the new ceo and scouting guys that recruitment would be on point. We'll, as we all know nothing could be further from the truth. it's farcical! The half decent players we've looked at don't wanna come here, are waiting for better options ala the guy from Rotterdam. And some of the players we're looking at aren't the kind that will get us anywhere in this league, the second division guy from France and the Turk with as bad a scoring record as I've seen. All the excuses the club are coming out with about it being difficult window etc just don't wash. I look at some of the other clubs who are getting some top guys in, qpr, west brom, Middlesbrough. there's a few teams recruited well. Our scouting network must be garbage. other clubs are finding players yet we are no better off even after our lord and saviour CEO arrived!

I agree in some ways. But the guys that have come in aren't yts guys. They have held these roles at other clubs and with that have bought their knowledge and contacts with them. isn't that what we've paid for? I would of thought the CEO and new scouts have spreadsheets of all the top guys in their relevant areas of Europe and UK, all the attributes of each player, their contract lengths etc. again, that's what we paid for? Yet other clubs are finding gems and bargains. it looks like we're scrapping the barrel again and leaving it to the last minute. Anyone who looks decent don't wanna come here. I really got excited with the guy from Rotterdam, just what we need I though, fee agreed etc just need player to sign. now he's holding out for something better. I mean a lot of this is par for the course with Forest but this season is the first season I'm really worried. even last year I thought we'd be ok. not so sure this season. If we get relegated it may do us good though. clean slate etc, get rid of high earners start from scratch. maybe he'd sell up, who knows?

Don’t worry those foundations will see us right in league one, especially some big money sales to make us sustainable for a few seasons down there. You can’t knock the hierarchy at our club for forward planning - strategic Ninjas is what they are!

The players that have been bought in are decent unlucky with Tutu. Last season so called fans said we signed far to many old journeymen and the squad was bloated. We have changed our philosophy and are looking at younger players with potential and fans still not happy. Let’s at least wait until the end of the window before complaining.

Agreed pineapple, we don't really know what's happening behind the scenes. Younger players is what we all wanted, now people moaning that they've never heard of them. Keep the faith, no more Arter's, Jenkinson's and waste of wages.

Scouting is like buying anything such as cars as an example. We all know what the best car we want is say a lambo but can you get one? Can you afford it? Is it fit for purpose? So the scouts have a shopping list based on money, age, availability, quality etc so i'm sure they all know who they want but like the Lambo its a dream choice, oh and throw in the mix robbing agents and players not wanting to join a club in a mess? Another job you don't want.

Who are these gems everyone has been buying?
We can't compete with WBA and Bournemouth with their parachute payments so leave them out of the equation. Who have Boro and QPR signed that are so good. Surely you say they are gems till they have played a few games, not 4 games.
Most of Championship have signed freebies and loans as I see it.

He's a good player. more wingback than fullback so hopefully Hughtons got him in to change system when needed. players we've got we're crying out for 352 system. even if it's used as plan b to change things up.
