Vital football site says Watford see Antonio as the the ideal English player that they are looking for. They also say that they will pay between 4 & 7 million for him. Would rather he go to the Premiership than another Championship club. Especially you know who

Greaserman

1.) 19 Aug 2015 21:35:28
4 million plus Vydra or Forestieri please.

2.) 19 Aug 2015 21:35:45
I would take 3-4million if we could have geddy and vydra on loan and only pay them 10k wages and Watford pay the rest.good deal all round me thinks.

3.) 19 Aug 2015 21:48:56
Did Watford not get promoted last season after coming second? Or was it all a dream?

4.) 19 Aug 2015 22:24:42
Yes they did!

5.) 20 Aug 2015 07:20:37
according to the s*n. antonio refused to play. as gone on strike for a pay rise. van hooidonk did that as well. get rid of him.

6.) 20 Aug 2015 07:37:33
If true it is breach of contract, players are too well protected, Forest are caught between a rock and a hard place, sell him on the cheap, pay his wages and make him rot in the reserves, or terminate his contract and tell him to walk due to breach of contract.

7.) 20 Aug 2015 08:33:38
you don't get paid whilst you're on strike!

8.) 20 Aug 2015 09:30:35
I bet he will get paid if he's on strike!!

9.) 20 Aug 2015 10:10:41
MA situation has nothing to do with PvH way back when. PvH didn't want to leave Forest, he was just annoyed they sold Kevin Campbell and when they wouldn't buy a new striker he quit. MA (according to a well known tabloid who have never told a lie, spread rumours or idle gossip) suggest MA has had a mardy and wants to take his ball and go home. Whether he deserves a pay rise or not is not up to us as fans. It will be nice to keep him but I imagine, because of FFP, he can't actually get any more. But this may all be BS. Him being on strike is definitely BS. He's not that childish. It may just be his agent trying to start a bidding war. It looks like he'll leave though. To be honest, I'm so glad HL is staying I couldn't care. As for this being unforgivable Keano, how old are you? You shouldn't take things so personally. This happens every single day in almost every single company. Why would you expect it not to happen at Forest?

10.) 20 Aug 2015 13:20:45
The Sun! Seriously, let's hang him on 'The Sun'.
I believe more in the Beano

The mystery surrounding Hamer from Leicester, is, so I have heard. explainded like this. When we bring in a player on loan, due to ffp, we can pay him no more in wages than the player he is replacing. As Newcastle loaned Darlow back to us for a season and paid his wages, effectively, we paid Darlow £0. So, we can only pay Hamer the same. Hmmmmm!!!

Greaserman

1.) 11 Aug 2015 08:43:12
Couldn't it be argued that he isn't replacing Darlow? De Vries has replaced Darlow as No. 1, Hamer is back up.

2.) 11 Aug 2015 09:32:19
Think that's rubbish someone's added 2+2 and got five does that mean we have to replace all those players that have left with players that play in their positions,if so no striker, think the only restriction is,if a player signs a contract, not a loan, then we can pay him a portion of a player we have sold wages, has have now not sold anyone so 10k max

3.) 11 Aug 2015 09:44:06
Dont matter now anyway as hamer gone to bristol city lol

4.) 11 Aug 2015 12:01:22
Not quite, talks are still ongoing at present

FAH must think we all live in "La La Land". can't say this, can't say that, the club is deep within his heart. As they would say on Last Leg. Bull

Greaserman

18 Jan 2017 17:21:20
Van Gall is out of work. plus he would probably tell FAH were to go if he tried to interfere. Why are they saying Nigel Clough? Because he would unite the club. where have I heard that before? Oh yeah! Just before Stuart Pearce was appointed for the second time and look how that went. As much as I respect the Clough era, the past needs to be put to bed and a brand new era started.

About as likely as Len Goodman going to Farmfoods
CARLO

2.) 18 Jan 2017 18:13:45
Van gael announced retirement yesterday

05 Jan 2017 18:03:17
That's the takeover screwed. Apparently everyone is waiting on the " green light" from Farwaz. He doesn't give a rubbish about the club, he is pissed off things haven't gone the way he originally planned and everyone including the club cat wants him gone. Screwing the whole takeover up will be his way of getting back at everyone at the club and the fans. It's beyond me how this tosser has run companies and made any money at all.

Greaserman

1.) 05 Jan 2017 18:56:49
Yep he would scupper the deal to be left with a club costing him and arm and a leg to run and let it rot and get nothing back. have a word with yourself.

2.) 05 Jan 2017 19:16:42
Fawaz has no say in the Family business His Father is the main man This is just a rich mans toy.

If/ When we drop down to league 1, would we come out of FFP? Who could we expect to take on the managers job? Obviously our managerial sights would be much lower than in the Championship. With two 0-3 home losses on the trot, it would seem our team have totally given up on the season, bearing in mind, lots of them will be back off to their respective parent clubs at the end of the season.
As for our most prized players, they would surely be sold should we go down. All the more reason for the players to show some of the old Forest spirit to keep us in the Championship and rebuild for next season with a good manager at the helm.

Next chance of a point? Rotherham in mid April. By then we will have had 11 straight losses on the trot. All of our games upto mid April are against teams above us and in decent form. We cannot score. Sorry to say but the club and team are a joke. Soon have no fans left.29,000 down to 19,000 in only a few seasons.

1.) 05 Mar 2016 17:59:05
We all know the problem but what would you do Greaserman?

2.) 05 Mar 2016 18:07:50
We have never had 29000 week in week out, at best we had 24000 bar the derby Leicester games or play off finals, get real!

3.) 05 Mar 2016 18:28:09
get real in the sence that forest are crap, fewer fans at the games. the writings on the wall. hopeless manager and many hopeless players, who are not up to the level, of championship football, most of the players are overated. very few put there all into a game, football is a buisness, not a sport anymore, play for the game, not for the money. or get out.

4.) 05 Mar 2016 18:49:17
So quick to attack, if only our front two were as cynical! Only a few weeks ago we beat Leeds away, beaten Boro away and were 13 unbeaten and dreaming of the play offs. By all accounts we were unlucky to loose today and I don't believe that we are carp, have a crap manger, we are not good enough to be be top 6 even top 10 which is disappointing and we could never have kept Antonio and when he hardly got a kick in the first of the season no one though 7 million plus was a give away but now after 4 goals he's a snip! He was good for us and I enjoyed his runs and excitement and wish him well but he wasn't given away.

5.) 05 Mar 2016 20:01:28
Rusko, you've pretty much nailed it with your post, we were much better today, however, that won't count one jot if we play like that and continue to get beaten. Wonder what codswallop Douggie has fobbed us off with now? (Seriously haven't read the post mortem yet) . SOS Britt!

6.) 05 Mar 2016 20:08:25
Agree Rusko. The manager has prevented us getting relegated whilst unearthing some good signings for next to nothing. He has also bit by bit got rid of dead wood with more to go in the summer. The strikers are not good enough and the youth nothing like good enough. The manager has blooded what potential youngsters we have but being realistic you very rarely get more than 2 or 3 comming through to first team stardom. So taking everything in to account the manager ain't doing that bad and though disapointing in the last few games the team are doing not to bad.

Forest needn't worry about promotion, FFP on not. No win in 9 games is hardly tantamount to getting into the Premiership. Come on Mr Pearce, get angry, they don't want to see you when your angry.

Perhaps the whole team, including the backroom boys should take a look at some video's of how Forest played back in the "good old days" Defend in depth, build from the back, press forward as a unit. I used to enjoy watching Forest v Liverpool back then. It was a game of cat and mouse, with tight marking of key players & an act of individual brilliance could turn a match. Often ending in a 1-0 win either way. Yes fans want to be entertained, but not to the extent of us having to fight back, yet again, from going down to the early goal. The reds either want to get into the premiership, or they don't. Concentration is the key to everything, from the first whistle to the last. We have one of the best squads in the Championship, so let's prove it. COYR

Does anyone else agree with me, Tim Sherwood was either at the ground to show an interest in taking over from Pearce, should he be sacked, or, maybe Farwaz is thinking more along the lines of bringing Sherwood in as an assistant to Pearce. Just a thought.

We need a replacement for Reid, great player but getting on a bit and too injury prone. Why hasn't Walker been played? in the squad but not yet been played. maybe try him against Rochdale. Deploy Fox as a defensive midfield player. can't do any worse.
