Dropped my son's girlfriend off at Manchester airport this morning and stopped off at McDonald's in Oldham at 0650 and SOD was behind me in the queue in full Oldham tracksuit! Anyone else had strange sighting of ex reds?

I once saw Matty Fryatt playing football, down at the city ground! Couldn't believe it. Not seen him since though.

2.) 02 Aug 2016 18:33:23

I hate Liverpool as much as any forest fan but doesn't Klopp just put a smile on your face!

Rusko

1.) 15 Apr 2016 06:54:09
I don't hate Liverpool?

2.) 15 Apr 2016 06:58:03
I hate them.

It just gets worse, having to listen to loads of cheering Liverpool fans in the sports bar at centre parcs has just about finished me for this seaeson!

3.) 15 Apr 2016 08:48:49
yeh and let me guess I bet none of em were from Merseyside!

4.) 15 Apr 2016 10:05:27
Didn't get close enough to tell Pete!

5.) 15 Apr 2016 13:56:11
Any Forest fan over 30yo MUST hate Liverpool, it's the law. If you don't, you're not a proper fan.

6.) 15 Apr 2016 14:05:29
The rules are over 40's Liverpool fans, hate us. As Fergie tried to claim, we knocked them off their perch first not United. European Cup holders, knocked out by 'little Forest', first round, they properly can't stand us. Don't waste your hate, we've got our own problems!

{Ed001's Note - seriously? I don't know one Liverpool fan, including myself, that gives a toss about Forest one way or the other. You mean nothing to Liverpool fans, and I am over 40 and a Liverpool fan, as are most of my family. Only Man Utd and Everton matter. Forest don't even register. Talk about living in the past!}

7.) 15 Apr 2016 14:53:23
Yes Scousered, the really do! Remember my Bro, cry'n his eyes out when we dumped the out of Europe! Lol!

8.) 15 Apr 2016 15:42:19
The fact you bit Ed, is good enough for me! 😃.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so. Bit sad if that is your level.}

9.) 15 Apr 2016 16:10:34
I'm over 40 and don't hate Liverpool at all. I think most of us who were at Hillsborough that day feel like we share some bond with their fans as but for the Grace of God it could have been us at that end of the ground. The only English team I don't want to do well in Europe is Man United.

10.) 15 Apr 2016 16:12:40
If you had been where I was 27 years ago today you would not hate Liverpool fans.

11.) 15 Apr 2016 16:21:00
I'm not quite 40 yet but I hate Liverpool, probably more so than Derby. They ruined my childhood, knocked us out of cups, beat us to the league and got us banned from Europe when we would've been in the UEFA Cup for a few years.

Only ever had bad experiences with their 'fans' and I'm even sick of them selling T-Shirts at every gig I've ever been to. Why are they always Scousers!?

Makes it even more annoying that Klopp is a very likeable Manager.

12.) 15 Apr 2016 16:28:10
You give yourself away ed. Liverpool fans and Everton fans live quite happily side by side and are happy for each other's successes. I know as half my family are scousers, some red some blue. As for living in the past, you can't have a conversation for more than two minutes with a Liverpool fan before mention of Bill Shankly, King Kenny, standing on the Kop and the Beatles. Where ever you are from Ed it ain't Liverpool lol.

{Ed001's Note - you really have no idea. I am from Bootle, and you clearly know f all about my city.}

13.) 15 Apr 2016 16:32:20
Ed 001, it was a small provincial city team being run on a budget and full of misfits that ended Liverpool's domination of all competitions, you can't mention Man U as at that time they were a struggling team. I have said it before anybody can support a team doing well, ie Liverpool, Man U, Man City but it takes a special kind of fan to support the not so fashionable dinner party teams, yes we live on past glories, but that is our right and we will always support the REDS so wind your neck in and be an impartial ed. 😏.

{Ed001's Note - I will be as partial as I choose and I have no problem with Forest, as I said. Though you ended nothing, you got relegated and disappeared from sight sadly.}

14.) 15 Apr 2016 16:50:59
Ed, look what you've started! I'm sure it says 'Banter' at the top, I live in Litherland and the missus is from Bootle, though she's not a banger. You're right we haven't had a lot to shout about recently but we have our history and as our bragging rights are mostly over Liverpool, what do you expect? Scousers do banter remember, that's why I love it here. As for the Forest connection, my Liverpool pals want us back in the PL, accept we had a great side but consider as a nuisance, nothing more. You were the holders and it was the first round though, haha.

15.) 15 Apr 2016 18:41:12
Agree with DrN and PTB. I too was at Hillsborough that day and know it could very easily have been us. Feel added poignancy today with the final memorial service for the 96. In solidarity - for justice!

16.) 15 Apr 2016 22:00:03
I was also at Hillsborough that day and remember seeing a stretcher coming across to our end, the person on it had their face covered with a blanket and one of their arms was dragging on the floor, I said to my mate must be dead. Terrible day, and whatever banter we have with anyone its just that, banter. I don't hate Liverpool and I even kind of hope shittey win the prem, which for me is really weird.

17.) 16 Apr 2016 20:09:56
Just to draw a line under this, I too was at Hillsborough but I too was a young fan in the Bridgeford end who had endless coins, lit toilet roll chucked at him during the glory days and never felt that Liverpool fans ever gave us credit. Ed, Liverpool fans over 40 couldn't care less about forest now but trust me 38years ago they definitely did! Anyway my post was about klopp and he does make me smile!

03 Apr 2016 16:10:31
Great to hear Stan colleymore correct talk sport that forest were the last team to win the league who hadn't win it before as his co commentator said it was derby!
Then Stan topped it off with a fact I hadn't heard before although I'm sure most have on here that we are the only team in history to have won the European cup more than our own top division.
I know past glories count for nothing but thought I'd try and lift the gloom of yesterday.

I know we have raved about huddersfield and their style of football and the certainly looked good on the highlights on forest player but I was talking with a terrier fan today and was he saying 10,000 season tickets are going on early bird sale in the next few weeks at £179 down from £400 in order to get more fans. Sounds like a great idea!

Rusko

1.) 29 Feb 2016 21:12:11
I must not be the only one wondering whether or not to take advantage of the early bird offer coming up. Firstly are we 100% sure we will be out of FFP? Secondly under the new rules. How much can we spend next season on class strikers and still comply with FFP. Too many unknowns. But my biggest concern. Have we developed a style of football that will give us some hope of progressing. I see nowt to give me any confidence next season. They want our money now for a reason.

2.) 29 Feb 2016 21:41:03
On Radio Nottm sat they saidwe would just about come out of FF this year but if we were not careful we would end up back in it within 2 years.

3.) 29 Feb 2016 22:20:41
We could spend as much as we wanted to for the next year and still not be in an embargo the year after!
30 odd million is the losses allowed over 3 seasons.

26 Jan 2016 21:48:06
Sounded a poor game, really thoughtless would kick on from Sat and win this, disappointing!

Rusko

1.) 26 Jan 2016 22:22:54
Well I was completely wrong no goals devries great save another clean sheet a bonus hopefully a goalscorer in before deadline.

2.) 26 Jan 2016 22:36:03
At least you cleaned up at the bookies with another draw Skegsjay, it must be like finding the £33 million lottery ticket the run you're on lol.

3.) 26 Jan 2016 22:47:14
I wish I backed them for a draw but thought they would win tonight gutted about bet but happy with another clean sheet liking devries more and more.

4.) 26 Jan 2016 23:08:33
Really don't know why people are surprised by the game tonight. It's a typical home performance under DF. Whilst playing like we did on Saturday against 1 of the best teams in the division is understandable, most fans expect more at home against pretty average opposition. And please don't keep defending him by saying he has to play this way because we've no goalscorer, he played the same way last year when he had Britt and Antonio available. Anyway I'll just keep going and hoping I might see an entertaining game soon, just a shame a few thousand of my fellow Reds fans won't see it as they've stopped going to matches.

5.) 26 Jan 2016 23:57:30
Passtheball I can understand what you are saying but all your going to get is were unbeaten untill the ffp Is lifted and dougie gets to spend money nothing will be done there will be no excuses for next season all fans will expect douggie and his team to finish top 6 so I'm afraid like me you will have to ride it out until next season.

6.) 27 Jan 2016 00:12:14
If they want to see a entertaining game and get beat go and watch derby from what i have heard is both defences was very good and we had chances to win against a very good team who have just bought a new stiker and are in a faults position like us would have liked to win but happy with a draw.

7.) 27 Jan 2016 07:29:02
Forest71. Neither QPR or us are in a false position. The table does not lie. What worries me is the way we're playing at home is turning away fans and once people stop going to matches it's difficult to get them all back, also what about our fans of the future? If we're not careful they'll end up supporting man city, arsenal or God forbid, Leicester. Let's be realistic we have no chance of going up or going down so let's try and be a little more entertaining. That doesn't mean all out attack, just a little more expansive.

8.) 27 Jan 2016 09:13:49
Hi both teams are in false position because of different reasons they should be higher up the table and they will it is about consistency and momentum and results not playing fancy football the fancy will come later I think we are playing very well we have a new team they will get better but they will not get better if we start looing and loos the momentum in the circumstances I am happy The defensive is brilliant and at the moment we need that and we will need that against Watford I would rather be playing Watford with a good defenders than fancy strikes I understand what your saying but the fancy stikers will come later.

9.) 27 Jan 2016 14:18:26
Passtheball

Just wondering how you would physically make this squad of players more entertaining and expansive? Just sound like "sound bites" and to me!

10.) 27 Jan 2016 14:58:56
IBM any manager can ask over half the team to sit back in defence but as you've seen it doesn't work against every team if you want to go out and grab a point sit back and defend and hope we can score on counter it's rubbish boring football that not every fan wants to pay and see we will after see what happens when dougie as money to spend and assombogola is back me personally think he's playing safe for is job this season but I could be wrong again.

11.) 27 Jan 2016 15:41:30
"The Table Never Lies"

I hate that saying. The table lies all season, it only tells the truth after 46 games.

12.) 27 Jan 2016 15:53:53
In the current midfield injury crisis the creativity is going to come from either Burke or Grant.

Our problem is that Dougie cannot risk playing the 2 together until Osborn nails now his place and performs week in week out.

Maybe he could have been more adventurous playing Grant as Burke was on the bench but then Mendes cannot be trusted to keep the ball if he plays in a midfield with Burke?

13.) 27 Jan 2016 16:55:29
I'm no coach but maybe pushing up your midfield players closer to the attacking players may make us a bit more entertaining and more of a goal threat. Instead we have a midfield of Tesche and a defender (mancienne) in midfield which are set up to protect the back 4. Don't expect all out attack but I suspect many of the Dougie luvvies aren't parting with their hard earned cash to watch the performances being dished up at the moment.

Decent window! What planet are you on. Best prospect for years sold with no sell on fee, the promise of 13 million to be reinvested when he actually meant a 13 millionth of it will be spent. A total joke.

Didn't have a lot of choice did he, no apology from him for the worst performance I have seen in 45 years of cc watching England. At least Ian Wright spoke the truth but maybe they should get off their comfy pundit chairs and manage, if not what about Beckham or even df!
Gary Neville second favourite but part of that rubbish and totally screwed up in . Spain yet still second favourite, unbelievable!
Who next for the England job, I hope eddie Howe gets a go as its about being organised above ability and his team's play with style and passion too.

Having watched the fawaz interview it is hard not to feel a little sorry for him. I don't think the time was right to sack df but he's gone now and let's be fair fawaz has tried to give the fans what they want time and time again. I definitely wanted Billy back second time around, I definitely wanted pearce and the summer of splashing out and only fawaz has funded that but every which way he turns it doesn't work out. I wish him better luck this time round and think he will need it!

Gary gardener was at fault for Ipswich's goal for not wining the race to the ball outside the area when he looked odds on favourite to get there first, not mills fault.
