Not one for rumours but just got back from CG, apparently 6 players have been told they can leave. Don't know all the names and Paterson is obviously one of them but the surprising one for me is Matt Mills!

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 27 Aug 2016 19:30:46
Ibm

The manager has said he hopes to bring players in, but six is unlikely so close to the transfer window shutting, and loans not allowed after that.

Mills would be a surprise, but as some would say the manger must have a better player he knows of.

2.) 27 Aug 2016 19:48:32
I'm sure we can all think of 6 players that are surplus to requirements without needing to replace all of them but I didn't say these players would all be leaving, rather they have been told they can find new clubs.

3.) 27 Aug 2016 20:16:09
Mills is a viable option yes as I reported pre season but believe now he will stay.

Do not believe the 6 bit. Don't need to let 6 go. If I had to I would say:

Paterson (gone) , mills/ Hobbs, BLACKSTOCK, fryatt? Can't see beyond that. Personally I would only let:
Paterson BLACKSTOCK and one of Hobbs or mills preferably Hobbs leave.

4.) 27 Aug 2016 20:33:09
You have a fair point Ibm, but i can not see the point in stating 6 players unless you expected them to leave this window.

Im sure most decent sized squads have six players the manager wish to replace, but getting rid of them of their own will is another matter entirely.

We are not like Man City able to pay 3/ 4 of their wages while out on loan.

5.) 27 Aug 2016 21:03:24
I don't think ibm would make the rumour up, seeing as he sponsors Mills. On a side note, anybody know how much Paterson went for. Hftf, no guessing or making up figures, I can do that myself.

6.) 27 Aug 2016 21:04:46
Fryatt pato blackstock Hobbs Lars fox these should all be sold or loaned out I expect these are the six. . Fryatt will never be fit again and the others are 3/ 4 th choice in their positions. We need to bring in 2/ 3 to make us top 6
Right back. 2 forwards.

7.) 28 Aug 2016 03:09:53
😂 macro you do make me laugh!

Fox signed new 2 year deal in the summer! What do we need a right back for? We have 6 strikers on the books without the youth players, even if we get rid of 3, I can't see 2 coming in!

With 4 days left in the window I can't see us shipping out another 5 players and even if we do, think it will be players the majority wouldn't want to see leave like ward, mancienne and Burke.

8.) 28 Aug 2016 09:39:09
I'd sooner us plays kids than these 6.

9.) 28 Aug 2016 11:28:00
I don't understand why you all hate fryatt. He is light years ahead of vellios and veldwick for me, and is a great player. I can only assume it's due to his long injury, but he should be given a bit more respect I feel.
Any news on his injury?

10.) 28 Aug 2016 12:10:01
I don't think people hate fryatt and I agree, when he's fit, is a very good player. But will he ever be back to his best and we're paying high wages for a player on the sidelines. I'd happily have Mills leave, average defender at best and constantly gets on the young players backs.

Fawaz turned down an offer of 45 million from an American based company at the beginning of this season!

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 17 Apr 2016 20:39:06
Prob just really loves the club.

2.) 18 Apr 2016 05:56:51
Where did this unconfirmed " off the cuff "information come from?

3.) 18 Apr 2016 11:08:51
Well done Fawaz for turning down offers from companies based in a bankrupt economy! More leverage debt we do not need?

4.) 18 Apr 2016 13:16:22
Total load of rubbish.

5.) 18 Apr 2016 18:30:39
Apologies for my late reply but some of us have to work for a living. How come the first reaction is for someone to always ask who the source is? If you don't believe my original post then you ain't going to believe who the source is as I could of made that up as well. I've been deliberating for a while now as to wether I should post this or not. Most on here who know me realise I like my banter and a wind up but I've never been one for posting "rumours". Here is the limited info I'm prepared to tell you. This comes from paperwork I have seen with my own eyes compiled by the prospective buyers and sent to an agent who they wanted to use as an initial point of contact between the two parties and who organised a meeting in London at the beginning of this season. The company in question is a investment outfit from America. It basically states that the buyers offer of 45 million was rejected by Fawaz who wanted 65 million. The interesting paragraphs are the ones which state that no negotiations could progress because of a complete lack of trust in Fawaz and his associates who insisted that the city ground belonged to them, which it doesn't, and the academy belonged to them also, which it doesn't. Alrhough I've always usually tried to defend our owner, and it doesn't matter to me one jot wether you believe me or not, this will obviously be music to the ears of all the Fawaz haters on this site.

6.) 18 Apr 2016 19:41:07
Greedy owner.

7.) 18 Apr 2016 19:46:32
Good job he turned it down, they sound like they would be even more unorganised than our current set up. Fancy allowing info like this to be leaked?
Cone on ibm surely you can't knock someone asking where such an important bit of info came from? There is a chance you could have just made it up? 😊.

8.) 18 Apr 2016 22:07:48
2tone. Info wasn't leaked by prospective buyer. Info was seen by me after reaching agent. Agent doesn't know I've read it so he's blameless too. Can't name agent as could cost him credibility, cash and future work in the business. Finally, I've got better things to do than make crap up. Believe it or not mate it don't matter to me!

9.) 18 Apr 2016 22:12:52
Any buyer would understand the assets they are buying before bidding as the info is in the public domain.

£ 65m CASH OFFER would about pay the Fawaz debt plus the Doughty family clawback on their loans for promotion.

So what point are you making a good or bad offer turned down?

10.) 18 Apr 2016 22:32:58
Fawaz wanted 65 million. Buyer offered 45 million obviously as an opening offer and a basis for negotiation. The point of my post was the collapse of any future deal because of a lack of honesty.

11.) 18 Apr 2016 22:44:08
Hmmm Ibm. Deliberating for a while now whether to post this?
Did you by any chance catch a glimpse of this document conveniently left out for you to see 16 days prior to your original post? 😂.

12.) 18 Apr 2016 23:41:28
I'll believe in miracles if this is true 😊.

13.) 19 Apr 2016 05:53:25
Why would Fawaz lie about things that can easily be checked. IE ownership of the ground and academy. Again I say this post is total rubbish. Also if Forest do not own the academy, who does?

14.) 19 Apr 2016 06:58:10
Dont understand what you mean Fred?
Jaj. Academy is somehow owned or tied to Doughty estate and not owned by Fawaz. Believe what you like I've no more to say on the subject.

15.) 19 Apr 2016 07:55:26
April fools! 😂.

16.) 19 Apr 2016 09:24:33
Tyrekickers will always blame the seller if they do not get their way! A debt leverage bid will fail at the first hurdle in the current climate if there is no freehold asset as security.

All these investment hedge fund sharks will be chasing football clubs to buy in view of the TV cash being pumped in.

Fawaz is only going to cash his chips if he is offered a cash deal while ever he can get a return on his loan!

03 Jan 2016 21:25:28
Paul Taylor reckons its defo Bojan and he's on the plane now which just leaves it to DF to explain how Slovenia are going to qualify for the Euro's. Double bluff again?

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 03 Jan 2016 23:14:08
Hi hope it is him he will be very good player.

2.) 04 Jan 2016 11:30:03
Yeah we have some terrific players.

We just need to hope our manager gets his head around how to set us up to win now.

02 Sep 2016 17:17:35
Ok, so I've come to the conclusion some fans and posters will simply not believe Fawaz whatever he says and however he says it. Even when he does the right thing and makes the correct decisions for the club some will twist it to suit their own agenda.

Fair enough. If that's what keeps you happy, so be it.

It seems the same posters who moaned about us being in embargo are largely the same posters who now complain that PM hasn't gone out and blown all the money like a drunken sailor on shore leave.

As I mentioned before, since the new manager arrived, the owner has backed him with an additional 11 players. Just let that sink in a minute and take a look where else that has happened in the championship.

I, for one, am very happy that we've got a good squad, money in the bank and a sensible and prudent manager who realises that the answer to every problem isn't to just throw money at it.

Long may that continue.

Ibelieveinmiracles

{Ed003's Note - passes the review stage.}

1.) 03 Sep 2016 01:02:47
Don't pass it ed, but well done👏👏👏 we don't want to get rid of the people that understand banter. Well done for being the bigger man.

2.) 03 Sep 2016 09:27:15
I think most of the criticism of fawaz is unjustified. What made me laugh over the past week is the morale outrage seen on here over fawaz 'lying' to us all. Then some of the same posters write on with a blatant lie that Britt is fuming with the sale of Burke and has handed in a transfer request. Next day he signs a new contract. Nice one guys!

3.) 03 Sep 2016 09:27:02
No no no ed i want a re review he says he's happy and said something good about the manager its all lies he's doing a fawaz on us 😀.

31 Aug 2016 20:26:43
I would just like to be the first one to congratulate our owner on a very productive and successful transfer window. Not only does he manage to rake in the best part of £13 million for a young kid who will prove to be not half as good as most posters on here think he is ( New Gareth Bale 😂 ) but he has also managed to bring in no less than nine much needed players in all positions to freshen up the squad. Add to that new deals for key players Assombalonga and Lansbury which is key to any on field success, as I mentioned in an earlier post, the squad this Thursday will be in a lot better shape to challenge than it was last Thursday. Excellent progress.

Well done Fawaz 👏👏👏.

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 31 Aug 2016 20:55:28
Glad to see there is some fans who are looking up. Well done I am in full agreement.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 20:56:17
Sorry but unless this Dumitru chap is better than his stats suggest or Fryatt is nearly fit ( and yes I did laugh myself) to not bring in a quality striker to supplement Britt is a massive school boy error.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 21:11:01
IBM, even you must concede it's way too early to make a statement like this! The problem most fans will have right now is that we have sold one of the best talents we have had at the club for years, and replaced him with 3 unknown ones. Only time will tell if this turns out to be a good move for us. I don't know if others on here agree with this, but for me the reason the sale of Burke smarts a bit is because he was a player that could have single handily dragged our team up towards promotion, just because he was showing signs of having pace, power, skill and goals. In the same way Bale has carried the Welsh team onto glory, Burke inspired our players. You only have to look at Lansbury's and Britt's reaction to his sale. As for Fawaz, I'm afraid it's another instance of him saying something, and doing the opposite! He should never have said judge my decision to sell Burke in 2 days, and the money will be reinvested in new players, as all that did was raise expectations! The truth is, he never had plans to spend money, just some of it on wages.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 21:12:08
Totally agree IBM, dead wood being weeded out, reducing wage bill.
Money in bank to reduce debt
Good squad that has started well and will only get better.
Let's give the new lads a chance to settle and support them
I for one am very optimistic, the football being played this season is far better than last season, maybe we won't go up but upper half of the table is within reach for this season and further push upwards the following season.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 21:47:53
Was going to reply to you Murdoch but polskared has done it for me. I actually got it wrong with nine players. Fawaz has actually backed the new manager with ten new signings since he arrived but that's still obviously not enough for some

6.) 31 Aug 2016 22:12:42
Ibm polska.
We shall see
The team is stronger with burke gone
?
Not a chance!
10 players in mean nothing
Its quality not quantity that counts
I wouldn't change any of them for Burke
Our chairman is not all he seems me thinks. He has invested 102 million
I think not!

7.) 31 Aug 2016 22:26:57
IBM, I didn't say I wasn't satisfied with our transfer dealings! I was merely trying to explain why some fans are angry with Fawaz over the sale of Burke, and then his promise of investing the cash back into the team. I know you didn't rate Burke, but there were plenty who did, and saw him as someone that could give our team an x factor. If it was a straight choice between Carayol, Lica and Burke, I'd pick Burke. But what's done is done, and I hope these players turn out to be excellent additions.

31 Aug 2016 16:49:24
At what point did the owner promise anybody a marquee signing?

I'll wait 😴.

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 31 Aug 2016 17:42:11
He also didn't say we would be getting in 3 nobody's!

2.) 31 Aug 2016 18:02:35
It's official, Rogie has already decided that the new signings are a waste of time. that's the spirit son. At least skegs will agree with you 👬.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 18:17:54
Now come on? Have you saw there stats! You know that you and I were expecting players who are at the very least are proven at this leve!? and I think you need to broaden your horizons as it's only not Skeggs and I who are feeling let down! I have allways been positive on all things Forest, am I not allowed to be concerned at how our transfer business is going today?

4.) 31 Aug 2016 20:11:33
IBM
At what point did he say the money would be re invested to make the team stronger. oh yes . just after the last time he was called a liar by the fans!
Was that Monday?

Rogie . i totally agree with your post.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 20:13:44
Don't talk to me about stats they mean nothing to me.

31 Aug 2016 09:49:01
I've just come up with a radical new idea that will send shockwaves through this rumours site.

How about we give any new players signed in this transfer window the chance to see what they can do before passing judgment and ridiculing them? Now obviously the usual suspects on this site all know best but if we just let the manager do his job for a few games before predicting Armageddon, you never know eh?

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 31 Aug 2016 09:54:58
Well said.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 10:01:55
I'm sure you 2 have passed judgement in the past.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 10:09:34
Now that would be a miracle.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 14:12:01
How can so many people disagree:) At least let them have a chance surely.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 15:02:34
Ginger. People disagree simply because of the fact it was me that suggested it. But little do they know that the more disagree's I get, the happier I am 😆👍👏👏👏.

30 Aug 2016 16:54:51
Tomorrow etc.

I saw you mention earlier what a poor games to goals ratio David Nugent has so it got me thinking, what would be the minimum goal ratio requirement from your point of view before you would consider buying a striker?

Ibelieveinmiracles

1.) 30 Aug 2016 17:09:42
All 'fans' do is google the name see the goal ratio and instantly decide whether he's good or rubbish. It's rediculous! Players have to be given a chance. And all the players with proven goal records, we can't afford!

2.) 30 Aug 2016 17:47:52
Isolatedforest I agree players need to be given a chance! Trouble is when we do find players ( after getting there chance) that can score our owner sells them! It's fine giving a chance and time to find there feet but we should reap the benefits of our patients.

3.) 30 Aug 2016 18:02:10
Red2dead, I agree, which is why we need to keep Britt at all costs!

4.) 30 Aug 2016 18:08:49
Isolatedforestfan

Maybe other posters do google players, and their goal ratio, i did not.

I was reading a piece about Burkes sale, the players we are linked with, and players we should consider, in amongst it all was Nugents goal ratio.

Ibm

When i put Nugents goal ratio up i did not put it purely to say look his ratio is rubbish why get him, although it played a large part.

I know Dumitru has not got Championship experience, but he is Younger than Nugent, got a similar goal ratio, and being on loan can get rid if he is no good.

Nugent is obviously older, has been prone to injuries in the past, and although he has got Championship experience his goals ratio is not good considering we would most likely have to buy him, and wages he would expect.

I know a prolific striker would be out of our league money wise unless we were willing to take a risk on someone prolific from a lesser league being able to make the step up.

So goal ratio's are not the only factor in not wanting certain players. I did also did a post about egotistical talented players, and talented players that are physical wrecks.

5.) 30 Aug 2016 18:28:05
Demitru has a very similar goals to game ratio as Stuart Pearce, so maybe I'm underestimating him and he will be a great left back 😂😂😂.

6.) 30 Aug 2016 18:39:45
Therefore Nugent could be a leftback.

7.) 30 Aug 2016 18:41:34
Tomorrow etc.

So what's the answer to my question?

I'll wait 😴.

8.) 30 Aug 2016 18:49:51
Ibm

Just for you duck, 4 goals a game.

9.) 30 Aug 2016 19:23:31
Some strikers like Nugent should be judged on goals and assists. Not every striker scores 30 goals a season.

10.) 30 Aug 2016 19:47:55
Nugent was judged on his goals and assists, that why his present club do not seem to want him.
