According to reports we've spent 6.8m on transfers into club including loans.
So we got 15m for Britt.
Call it 7m for new players.
2m for Peterborough because britts sell on clause that's 9m
So should have 6m. Left over.
Record season ticket sales
Shirt sponcership £?
Got rid of most deadwood lowered wage bill
We've been very good and we was already out of embargo before selling Britt. So should be in a position in January to strengthen again if we are in play off mix.
👍🏻👍🏻😀😀😀.

1.) 02 Sep 2017 19:39:19
All good news for a change isn't it.
I think we will strengthen in Jan anyway but let's not get carried away. Defensively lots of work to do as a team.

2.) 02 Sep 2017 21:13:03
Defensively just drop mills play Hobbs with Manchienne worrell. Thing will improve.

3.) 02 Sep 2017 22:21:29
Too right get Hobbs in which will improve the team, he is then bound to get an injury then we can forget about him.

4.) 02 Sep 2017 22:34:03
Going to be lots of ups and downs,Not sure where we'll be,but can't see us at the wrong end of the table?so we're improving.
Just dropping mills won't stop our defence conceding and you can't rely on Hobbs, there's a reason none of the managers don't play him and it's simple,we signed a crock,

5.) 02 Sep 2017 22:45:55
I think mills dropped with bridcutt in front of them and federici behind them would make worlds of difference

6.) 03 Sep 2017 07:35:09
The club is still running at a loss each month, so that £6 million will be absorbed over the season to support with running costs. Not saying we won't sign anyone in January but don't be surprised if we don't.

7.) 03 Sep 2017 07:38:55
It's true that we are doing better financially this season than in many others but let's not overlook that in previous years, we have been losing £10-18m a season.

Therefore all the good news above, just points to a small loss, within FFP, this season. That still doesn't make us a cash rich club.

And when you say we got rid of a lot of the dead wood, what we have done in most cases is reached an agreement to terminate their contract. When between them probably most of the £6m you say we have 'leftover'.

This isn't a doom and gloom post, as we are in a much better position, on and off the pitch, than we have been for years. But fans shouldn't get carried away with the thought that we have money in the bank. We're just losing less!

8.) 03 Sep 2017 23:15:52
The club now have the small matter of interest and repayment on the £80 million loan Fawaz took out to fund his escape.

That's going to sting. .Real bad.

9.) 04 Sep 2017 19:49:16
And this is a definite fact?

17 Aug 2017 22:43:19
Hope we get bridgcutt. Just what we need.
If we get him I'd cash in on osbourne if Newcastle still offering over 5m.
Like a lot on here say. He flatters to decieve. Let's cash in and spend on better.
I hope mills does not play against borough.
Play Hobbs.

Marco123

1.) 17 Aug 2017 23:21:48
Trent or Clifton? 😂😂😂.

2.) 18 Aug 2017 06:56:50
He would be a great signing and will fill the boots of Vaughan when he retires (he's not getting any younger) . However imo clearly we still need an experienced centre half, this will be the last piece in the jigsaw.

3.) 18 Aug 2017 07:16:37
We need a GK too.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 10:05:50
Honestly we just need someone to Organise us at the back. I've not seen Smith play recently but from memory he didn't seem too vocal. I remember Darlow being quite vocal, De Vries and Camp were too. If we have either a vocal defender that isn't Mills, who is only vocal to make up for his declining ability, or a goal keeper that tells the defence where to be and who to watch then I think we'll be more than fine. Having a defensive midfielder like Bridcutt filling the void could actually allow us to be even more attacking whilst being solid at the back. It's no coincidence that leicester got worse defensively and Chelsea got better with the arrival of a certain Mr Kante.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 11:54:31
Agree, we need a leader. Roy Keane type for me. 👍.

6.) 18 Aug 2017 12:54:43
Liam would be a great signing! i remember thinking this last season when we played them, he controlled the midfield and supplied support for the back four! in other news Snodgrass up for grabs, i'd have a cheeky bid even if we couldn't afford his wages!

7.) 18 Aug 2017 15:55:30
Bridcutt would be a good addition, but don't get this witch hunt on Osborn, nor why most people can't spell his name? He's been one of our best players for the last couple seasons. Same people are ready to throw Lichaj overboard too. The grass ain't always greener.

8.) 18 Aug 2017 19:41:27
Bang on binns.
People say smith is too small and doesn't command his box and come for crosses. yet people loved de vries who was all of 1inch taller who was a good shot stopper but you tell me how many crosses he came for, very little is the answer. he was always stuck on his line. when corners came in where was he? on his line. defenders shouldn't need to be told to jump for a ball and head clear that's basic defending isn't it?

9.) 18 Aug 2017 20:04:08
Don't thinks it's a witch hunt on osbourn
He just hasn't progressed/ improved since breaking into 1st team. Not to what his early promise showed. And if Newcastle were willing to pay 5.75m for him. I think we should cash in.
We've got plenty of options in positions osbourn plays in.
Especially if we sign bridgcutt.

10.) 18 Aug 2017 20:35:47
Fans wanted more end product from Osborn he created more chances than he ever has and he's not improved lol.

11.) 18 Aug 2017 20:55:25
UTF. That seems a touchy subject for you.

12.) 18 Aug 2017 21:27:00
I don't usually comment but I feel compelled to back Osborn here, the lad has just turned 23, come through our academy, gives 100% every game and runs himself into the ground. He's the type of player we should be proud to have wear the shirt! He also gets played in numerous different positions, I feel personally he's an asset to the team.

13.) 19 Aug 2017 16:09:44
Why though Kyle? You could pull on the shirt and give 100%. When is he no longer a youngster? 24, 25, 26v personally I think the he's only young heat reflecting umbrella has had its time. BTW I'm not against him but I think the time has come to stop using the he's only young card.

14.) 20 Aug 2017 14:27:06
He turned 23 two weeks ago! Yes I'd say he's still young. Best years ahead of him!

02 Aug 2017 16:30:09
All gone quiet over 2 possible signings.
Is dowell lad from Everton one of them?
He's a winger. Still need a centre midfielder
Sounds like warbo going to go with 3 5 2 formation Friday. Think we should go with this all time or at least at home.
Just hope he plays brereton upfront not on wing.

Marco123

1.) 02 Aug 2017 17:00:41
Dowell is almost done and one more in before fridays game.

2.) 02 Aug 2017 19:08:48
Dowell trained with us today and is just minor details until it's announced.

3.) 02 Aug 2017 19:43:22
The ginger witch has announced it on the Beeb.

4.) 02 Aug 2017 20:36:23
Bit harsh mate 😕.

5.) 02 Aug 2017 21:34:02
Who Billybongsocks? Anne Robinson? 😂😂😂.

6.) 02 Aug 2017 21:41:28
I didn't know Chris Evans was doing football now?
Has he had a "crash course" in it? 😂😂😂.

24 Jul 2017 10:20:43
I think we will be signing Gardner. But I wouldn't pay more than 1m for him.
I'd like Irvine aswel 2m for him.
Lowe on a freebie makes sense.
Foderingham 2m at most. With Murphy 2m and hector on loan.
That's 7m of britts money.
I'd be chuffed with that.
Wouldn't add owt else unless a really good forward at right price was available.
With all above added to our squad.
Play offs is possible.
Just my opinion.

Marco123

1.) 24 Jul 2017 11:41:01
I assume this means we are playing 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, as we only have 2 full backs and one of them (Traore) is injury prone!

2.) 24 Jul 2017 11:59:25
completely agree marco. apparently we've activated the 2m release clause for irvine.

3.) 24 Jul 2017 12:21:15
with some rumours better midfielders coming in will we see Cohen at left back again
like trickster says after 3-5 games in traore mills Hobbs ward Cohen
Vaughan m-m will be injured with broken toe nails need cover at left back going to be playing better wingers then what notts and Mansfield can throw at use
its pretty much same back 4 we had last year and we couldn't keep clean sheets then so what's going to change.

4.) 24 Jul 2017 12:45:13
If you look back at Wilson / Morgan / Chambers when we got promoted to Championship, we ended the season with one of worst defensive records. The following season, we had one of the best with the same defence. If MW believes they are good enough, it's good enough for me.

5.) 24 Jul 2017 12:49:24
Remember Traore, Cohen, Fox and Lichaj can all play at left back. I do believe we will get another full back, most likely Justin from Luton which is still on the cards, or Tavernier from rangers.

I'm a bit gutted we didn't go for Zeki Fryers, it is a gamble but think he'll have a great season with Barnsley.

11 Jul 2017 11:11:23
According to newsnow we interested in daryl Murphy. Could he be on our list because Britt is going.
Good player but sooner keep Britt.
Why aren't we moving on a centre half and centre midfielder. These are our priority positions. Warburton was told he'd have approx 6m so what we waiting for.
I think the owners will sell Britt. 😭
But I hope we hold out for at least 15. Plus add ons and maybe player thrown in.

Marco123

1.) 11 Jul 2017 11:42:11
We do not know what transfer's regards in the pipeline.

2.) 11 Jul 2017 12:59:04
Sorry meant to say targets not regards.

3.) 11 Jul 2017 13:30:26
No point in going for Daryl Murphy! He's second rate, if that's the case might as well let Bero, Cummings, clough and vellios battle it out for the number one spot if Britt leaves!

4.) 11 Jul 2017 14:31:27
Murphy is most definitely not second rate. Look at the amount of goals he scored at Ipswich 2 seasons ago. The only issue with Murphy is his age. At 34 I don't see him coming to Forest as MW prefers younger players.

5.) 11 Jul 2017 14:35:37
Cant see Britt going to Boro or Burnley, both quite likely for the drop next year for me, with Huddersfield. If Watford do come in for him then I think he would most likely want to go and prove himself in premiership with them.

6.) 11 Jul 2017 17:57:05
You think Boro will go down to league 1?

7.) 11 Jul 2017 20:14:40
He'll end up at Watford if he leaves. That would definitely be his first choice.

8.) 12 Jul 2017 07:42:14
Murphy is a battering ram. I have seen him loads at ipswich. But he is 34 now. Not sure about this one. If you put loads of crosses in he might be worth a punt.

We need to rest some players.
Team for Chelsea
Hendo
Licha Manchienne Hobbs troare
Bridgcutt
Mackay. Bouch. Carayol
Velios. Cummings.

Marco123

1.) 18 Sep 2017 20:24:21
I would go with,
Henderson
Lichaj Hobbs Fox Traore

Mancienne
Bouchalakis McKay
Darikwa Carayol
Cummings

2.) 18 Sep 2017 21:08:34
rest all of em and just give chelsea the win

09 Sep 2017 20:37:13
Cohen looks done Vaughen struggling
Ledley on a freebie worth bringing in.

Marco123

1.) 09 Sep 2017 20:48:46
I did not see them play today 😁. Their current situation is the way it has been for years, why make the comment now.?

05 Sep 2017 11:37:15
What's everyone's favoured team formation for next game.
Mines 352.
Smith
Worrell Manchienne Hobbs
Darikwa Vaughen bridgcutt Osborne
Dowell
Murphy Brereton.

Marco123

1.) 05 Sep 2017 12:33:13
With the team we have 343

Federici (when fit!)
Mancienne Worral Hobbs (or Fox)
Darikwa Bridcutt Vaughan Osborn
Dowell Murphy McKay

2.) 05 Sep 2017 15:06:47
I'm surprised so many like 3 at the back when we look so vulnerable that way

3.) 05 Sep 2017 16:23:50
My formation???? 1-10 😂😂😂

4.) 05 Sep 2017 17:43:47
Red James,

I don't think it's necessarily what people "like" as opposed to what is expected.

It's the same on the NEP page; whenever I have a go at predicting the formation for the next game, the most popular is always a 4-4-2. I get that people like it, but as a prediction, ya not very likely.

Even 3-5-2 is a long-shot. We seem to play 3-4-2-1 these days, so in fairness, if you're going to try to predict the line-up, that's the most likely template.

I'd guess;

Smith
Mancienne - Worrall - Mills
Darikwa - Bridcutt - Bouchalakis - Osborn
Dowell - McKay
Murphy

I'd actually like Worrall to get a break; I think he seems a bit overworked, so I'd like to see Hobbs in for him, and ideally Vaughan in for Bouchalakis.

I think Osborn, not having a set position is a bit of a head-mess for the manager. I'd play Traore out there, but Osborn is not physical enough in the middle, and as much as he works hard, hasn't really scored or directly assisted many. He's a tough one - his work rate is top drawer, but where do you put him. LWB looks his best bet right now.

5.) 05 Sep 2017 17:45:43
Gotta feel for Lichaj though. really can't imagine dropping him, but Darikwa looks nailed on at RWB. hate to think of EL moving on, but he looks firmly 2nd choice, and in a World Cup year. Reckon he might look to move in Jan if he doesn't win his place back.

6.) 05 Sep 2017 17:57:42
Formations are great when you have the ball, when you haven't mark your man, scream at your midfield to pick up runners and make your forwards run their arse off to pressure the other teams defenders. Win the ball back asap and please try not to give it away cheaply. Very basic the game football, made complicated by tactics.😀 Didn't BC say when you get the ball give it to players who can play, like Robertson?

7.) 05 Sep 2017 21:44:13
Marco
Right click mouse and use spellcheck as your team selections are getting embarrassing. We have yet to sign 5 of of them?

8.) 05 Sep 2017 21:59:48
Mouse?Really?😂😂😂

30 Aug 2017 14:57:40
can we have a poll on who would sell osbourn for 10m please.

Marco123

{Ed033's Note -

Osbourne Poll

1.) 30 Aug 2017 17:50:28
79% want Osborn sold so far.

2.) 30 Aug 2017 18:49:14
79% at £10 million, which we won't get.
I think at that price it's a no brainer.

3.) 30 Aug 2017 20:57:50
10 million good player silly money would snap there hand off

4.) 30 Aug 2017 21:28:40
Then our survey says that 79% of fans on this forum do not know their Xboxes from real football!

Forest are work in progress and Osborn is key to us being competitive. Our criticism of his decision making is more a reflection of a developing team pattern and poor coaching under previous regimes.

If he goes to a team with better players then you will see his quality in a settled position? The rest of our squad especially the our Scots and Greek newbies need to step up their workrate off the ball so he does not need to keep trying to fill in the gaps?

Xbox and Prozone software does not analyse what you can see with your own eyes when you actually watch the play around him!

Whitefoot, Newton, Jackson, Lyons,McGovern. O'Neil, Bowyer, Scott Gemmill, Rice, D Wilson,Proctor, Prutton never got the credit for their team contribution until after they were gone! So think on before you sell the glue that holds the team together?

5.) 30 Aug 2017 22:02:03
Sorry but all those players you mentioned barring Danny Wilson got plenty of credit and were very good players.

6.) 30 Aug 2017 22:34:37
Ps that's not glue,it's more like blue tack.😀😀

7.) 30 Aug 2017 23:55:44
Good players in better teams without social media distortion! Give Osborn some praise in a very average team as he will be as good as these players?

28 Aug 2017 10:55:38
Players that need shifting on.
Fox mills lam
Hobbs loan to see if he stays fit
Velios because don't matter how many he scores warbo don't like him.
Walker loan out.
Don't be surprised if we get a big bid in for likes of osbourn he could go aswel.
What we need
Hanley for centre half or elphick.
Experienced keeper maybe.
Like hodge said we could do with another option upfront. Maybe a loan because prices for forwards are ridiculous.

Marco123

1.) 28 Aug 2017 11:35:53
Aren't you the Happy Forest Clapper?
Lot's of positivity Marco that the spirit!
Cannot wait for your reaction when we lose a couple after the window closes. Warbo out?

2.) 28 Aug 2017 12:05:08
Really, how many strikers do we need? think we are ok in that department.

People keep making assumptions each time based on the last game we play. Leeds were a strong confident team who had a good season last year and look to have improved this year. I'll be amazed if they are not top 6.

We are a team who narrowly avoided relegation on the last day and are slowly improving so we need to expect a few setbacks whilst were getting there.

Hopefully we can get 3 points in the return fixture and all will be right in the world again:)

3.) 28 Aug 2017 18:29:14
If we get Elphick we'll have Mills and Boon at the back

4.) 28 Aug 2017 18:57:21
We need tough, and rough not romancers

Totally agree but I remember when hendo was in net
Everyone was calling him crap.
Warbos mistakes should of got a experienced keeper in
And quality centre back.
Looks like Cohen an Vaughen are going to be injured most of season going off Boths history.
So I'd bring ledley in on a free even if it means paying maybe 30k a week. Still only 30 yrs old and plenty good enough for championship.
We need to stick with warburton he's made some good signings and we still gelling together

If he plays then is out injured again.
At least we know he's done. Seeing him on bench is frustrating when mills is playing.
If Cohen is struggling I'd bring ledley in on a free.
If wages were right.

Centre back should be priority not another flipping midfielder.
Let's be honest we've had a good start upto Leeds. But we rode our look also. eg. Borough game would have been very different if Britt had his shooting boots on.
Also this mcginn bloke is not worth more than 2m.
Lemons talking crap again.
Only reason I can fathom is deal already done for osbourne so warbo wants mcginn.

Marco123
