1.) 09 Aug 2018 17:03:21
Great news. Come on Byram and/or Mings

2.) 09 Aug 2018 17:16:41
Redinexile we are all going to have to wait until August 31s then it might not be him.

3.) 09 Aug 2018 19:56:41
S2T, spot on. I can see a number of PL loans to the Championship, there are a lot of bloated squads - especially Everton.😖 We haven't shifted enough dead wood either, so sales abroad or lower league loans? I think a few of them fancy their contracts being paid up and being free agents. If not, how many over age can we play in U-23's games?😁

4.) 09 Aug 2018 23:36:15
I think Byram will be in next week. West Ham were waiting to see if someone came in to buy him. Loan with an option to buy as when fully fit this guy is top drawer ?

16 Oct 2017 04:47:59
Bbc site says we are after St. Mirren winger Lewis Morgan 21. Scotland U21. Can he play centre back??

Redfin

1.) 16 Oct 2017 07:28:34
So with MW at the helm we only look at players in the Scottish market?
Slightly hindering us a little don't you think?

2.) 16 Oct 2017 08:17:04
Gordon Strachan hit the nail on the head. The talent pool in Scotland is not physically strong enough.

If Forest keep signing these lighweights we will be playing League 1 football next season.

3.) 16 Oct 2017 08:29:08
Redfin It is a new Manger we should be looking for not not a Scottish lightweight.

4.) 16 Oct 2017 14:21:27
There may well be one manager available in a few weeks time. Martin O'Neill is the one manager we have never had that we should have had and he showed the other night he can still get sides up for the challenges. He may well have one more job in him and if the RoI don't qualify for the World Cup he may just be available for the January transfer window.

I'm not advocating change as such but availability of alternatives may be just as important in the timing of a managerial change as results.

5.) 16 Oct 2017 20:37:46
O'Neil once stated in a tv interview that he would like to manage Forest before he hangs up his managers jacket and I hope he is true to his word
Saying this I hope that MW can find the right formula and change our fortunes but with us conceding most games and never looking like we can score a hat full I doubt it

People say you can't keep changing managers, you need to give them a chance to stamp their mark and I agree as long as the manager is the right one
Is MW the right one? I hope he is but with his dodgy selections and tactics I fear he is not

6.) 16 Oct 2017 21:52:56
Another way of looking at it is,most of the players he's inherited.
He has to sell our star striker.
He's given a budget and wage structure to work to,which looks low.
Can't see Oneil working with those restraints.
If you look at the big picture,we are signing young players for the future,
At the end of the season we will be saying goodbye to Fox Hobbs Eric Mills Vaughan Chohen Ward Carayol.
Most contracts are up.
Part of that is the reason we havn't signed defenders yet,
You can't buy a team when you already have a 25 man squad,it takes time.

7.) 17 Oct 2017 09:39:22
We should have a self imposed transfer embargo on all things Scottish.

Martin O'Neil will not come back into club management for family reasons.

Warbo is staying as the three standout candidates who would do a better job are not available to Forest.

We need to get through the season to clear out those whose contracts expire next year with the exception of Lichaj.

We need to sign/loan a couple of strong pacey midfielders, pick the best 2 central defenders for Warbo and the team to survive the season.

Other than that we are going in the right direction of travel!

8.) 17 Oct 2017 11:07:00
Couldn't agree more red, trouble is to many fickle fans who want overnight success.

9.) 17 Oct 2017 20:31:33
I do not expect overnight success but would like to see us putting more pressure on the oppositions back line.
The players he has "inherited" seem to be out of favour such as Eric mustapha and Vellios even though tgey ate proven to give us pace and power.
Instead he plays the diddy men and a striker on the wing?
He failed to bring in defensive cover but added more midfield bench warmers?
Right direction of travel????

27 Sep 2017 09:50:49
With all this negativity about Warbo and the "new regime" let's just remind ourselves of the superb work our owner has done off the pitch in such a short space of time. Mr.Marinakis has put people in to steady this great club and help it survive. The management of our team however is seperate. Yes the owner is in charge of hiring and firing but it was reported that he told Warbo he would get time. He seems a man of his word which is a rare thing these days. We don't want to rub new owners up the wrong way with negativity about the new regime.

Redfin

1.) 27 Sep 2017 10:47:59
Redfin all the critiscm has been aimed at warbo. Most on here have been grafefull to the regime in general and are aware that the club is in very good and safe hands. However i have said this before thst the playing and management staff are the shop window. let's be honest warbo has had 7 months to shape thus team and it is as disjointed as ever witb warbs ignoring the obvious. Ppl who say wait till jan for more signings are naive as we all knew the defence was a priority. I would not trust him with any more money sorry but it just ain't happening and at some point the chairman not marinakis will wake up to the facts that warbs was a mistake. Not a problem we all make mistakes and its the finding out and admitting them that is the hard bit. If their was a good pattern and signs of improvement then thd transision would be bearable. It ain't and the axe maybe hovering!!!!

2.) 27 Sep 2017 11:40:42
I hope the chairman has that conversation with Warbs before chopping him rutland. If he decides to walk rather than change he is the wrong man. don't get me wrong I am not a Warbo lover but I just don't want to see half a dozen managers and staff come and go and drain money that could be spent on players disappear down the drain.

3.) 27 Sep 2017 12:38:39
Agreed redfin

4.) 27 Sep 2017 12:59:29
You make a good point Redfin but Warburton wants to play his style.
If he was told to change his style of play would he be happy and want to stay and give is his best efforts?

5.) 27 Sep 2017 14:09:38
We may find out soon reddog. The owner and chairman will not stand by while we slide down the table for much longer. Results need to change which may require a change on style or formation. We will see if he can adapt or if he will walk.

6.) 27 Sep 2017 19:59:53
The owner should have to tell him to change as that's undermining him also if a quality (not my words) manager can't see his style isn't working and do something about it then what hope is there?we don't want owners telling managers what to do!well we didn't the last 5years anyway.

7.) 27 Sep 2017 20:11:38
You keep going on Rutland about how Warburton can't do the job maybe your right maybe your wrong so who is the manager you would bring in to sort this so called mess out it would be interesting to see who you would choose.

8.) 27 Sep 2017 20:47:02
Skeggs asked the same question. I think a manager with less ego and more common sense would pick lijcha hobbs and velios. Have a skipper and a better grip of defending. I may have opinions but i cannot choose. But managers like holloway, big sam and neil warnock seem to quickly get their players playing with endeavour and look like battlers. Big big passion and where sometimes the foofball jsn't the prettiest they get at the opposition. The players under theses managers play well above their abilities. Its simple motivation.

9.) 27 Sep 2017 21:06:18
Nigel is supposed to be able to organise and motivate a team, now we have the off field set up, and in theory better players than Albion he may join us if asked.

10.) 27 Sep 2017 21:13:19
A manager without an ego?
That's called a yes man,so you'd be okay he'd listen and do everything the coach fans ask for.
Great idea let's go for it.lol.
Holloway?lol

11.) 27 Sep 2017 22:05:02
I said less ego and as for holloway he has motivated average teams to the very very top. Ppl bang on about king billy, king of bs. A meglomaniac. Remember paul hart??? He knew how to harness youthfull endeavour, played a bit of footy but that was not enough for forest. He got sacked, disgracefully in my opinion.

12.) 27 Sep 2017 23:56:40
Your right about Paul Hart, our owner at the time sold our three best players,or to be correct let them run their contracts out and leave for nothing.
No investment the next summer and he got the blame,
Not just the manager when things aren't right,it's a big team effort.
The owners appoint a manager,so ultimately if you don't like the manager, then you are questioning the judgement of the owners.
If you want the owners to tell Warburton to change, then that's interference and back to fawaz ways

13.) 27 Sep 2017 23:55:07
Big Sam would be a good choice but are you not fed up with changing managers I know I am

14.) 28 Sep 2017 08:21:46
I do not want to swap managers. Consistency will work, it just takes time. Stop panicking over some poor results. MW is a pretty decent manager, and at least we are trying to play football. If you coach players to play one way and then switch and panic they will do the same lose confidence and you will lose your job. Keep a consistent approach, make slow changes, allow the squad to adapt and learn and build up confidence and then you've changed style, tactics and have not lost face or the players confidence. My only issue is that he keeps switching formation and seems to not change a couple of problem players.

15.) 29 Sep 2017 13:21:49
I'm fed up like everyone else with all the changes in management we've had. so Warbs. Please turn things around starting tomorrow, much in the fashion Fergie had to,all those years ago!!! And yes,it would be great if also if you/we could go on to enjoy some of the success he had!!! COYRS!!!

A mate of mine is a chelsea supporter and he reckons he read it somewhere that 2 of their youngsters are heading to forest on loan. can't remember the names but I will work on it.

I think we should try to poach Alex Neil from Preston. Plays good football and knows this league well now.

Redfin

1.) 10 Apr 2019 10:42:06
Yep he was that good Norwich sacked him

2.) 10 Apr 2019 12:08:16
Better off with Alexander O'Neal!!!
😂😂😂

3.) 10 Apr 2019 13:17:23
As long as we don't criticise his ideals!

4.) 10 Apr 2019 16:38:41
We don't poach managers we just fry them 🤣🤣🤣

16 Mar 2019 20:21:23
Love MON but we were set up so defensive today. We were poor first 20 mins then got into the game got a goal and had another disallowed. At half time I said to my boy, we are on top now and will go on to win it. Well second half we hardly left our own box!! The back four and midfield sat on the edge of the box. No ambition to get up the pitch. Pants, Darykwa, Wague were superb. Sorry to say Murphy and Pele were awefull. Everyone else bang adverage. Lucky to come away with a draw. We aren't good enough at the moment to get into playoffs but build on this seasons improvement.

Redfin

1.) 17 Mar 2019 14:21:02
Not defensive enough. Colback should be holding midfielder protecting the back 4 with Watson or Pele supporting him, not shoved up on the left into attack - he's not a box to box man - that's Yates.

15 Feb 2019 15:06:39
I was worried when Roy Keane came to Forest what with his tendancy to fall out with everyone. But after watching him at the WBA game I think it could work. His passion and drive were immense. And the way he talked to the players you could see the respect there. Young Yates could become a beast under his guidance. Just hope it carries on and he doesn't slip into a negative rant to upset the camp.

Redfin

1.) 15 Feb 2019 17:16:45
I notice darren moore wba manager is disapointed at gayle getting two match suspension not half as much as us forest fans who were cheated out of three points 😤

03 Sep 2018 07:48:07
Its Monday and I am going to start positive. Last season we would have lost every one of the games we have drawn so far. The lads are showing fighting spirit. When they finally gel we will turn draws into wins. Clean sheets are the key. It is a slow process building a new team. Keep the faith. COYR.

2.) 03 Sep 2018 09:34:01
Nothing wrong with dreams 2star, they are what keep some going.

3.) 03 Sep 2018 12:44:58
As D-Ream sang 'Things Can Only Get Better'.😉 My girlfriend is happy we lost, the Gil Dias beard has had to go, now if only we could win 3 on the bounce. . it might justify a reappearance.😊

4.) 03 Sep 2018 13:48:16
Just fed up of the negativity on here 2 star. I haven't been on for a while because I find it depressing. Early doors yet mate. Keep that chin up.

5.) 03 Sep 2018 14:54:28
Quite right Redfin - I’ve missed you !

6.) 03 Sep 2018 15:32:35
To post something positive you need to see something positive happening on the field, other than 70 mins against WBA and the cup game, there's been nothing positive to say.
If you think the "moaning" on here is bad take a look at the bird site, karanka getting slated for his negativity.

28 Aug 2018 08:06:07
I don't want to see BB go. The list of replacements doesn't excite me much. Defoe? 35 no thank you. Gestede? Hardly played in last season and only about 9 goals in his last 40 odd games. Abraham? I would like but can't see him coming to us. Huge money and would prob go to Villa.

Redfin

1.) 28 Aug 2018 13:42:23
Solanki?

2.) 28 Aug 2018 14:42:11
Oliveira, yes please.

3.) 28 Aug 2018 16:14:03
The only logic with Oliveira is the Portuguese connection. I'd rather keep what we've got and bring Tomlin back. I'm only offering Cardiff £20k per week though, they can pay the rest. Up to you Lee, play football or rot in the reserves at Cardiff?

4.) 28 Aug 2018 17:59:24
Oliveira will score goals.

Carvalho actually made a great run through midfield that nobody else managed all game. Just underhit his final pass. He also won more headers than Murphy did in 90 mins. We do need a dynamic quick strong midfielder to carry the ball. Only Lolley can do it in todays starting 11. He is marked by 2 by everyone and nobody gets forward quick enough. With 1 up front who doesn't win enough in the air and is as mobile as Nelson on his collumn we don't have options.
