AK wants to bring Patrick Bamford back to Forest. Seems like a big risk, depends what Patrick Bamford we'd be getting.

1.) 12 Jan 2018 13:33:00
He is not hungry enough to play for us!

2.) 12 Jan 2018 17:29:47
Never want to see him back! Completely deluded on his level of ability. Ben Brereton complete opposite, puts a shift in every game need to put a massive price tag on him to protect clubs interests.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 18:44:43
Agreed footie bamford had the chance to stay with but chose to go to chelsea chasing the dosh if memory seves me right his told told him not to sign a forest contract he should have stayed at cg 😑

4.) 12 Jan 2018 21:30:53
No he didn't he was sold for cash by someone who only liked accumulating it

5.) 12 Jan 2018 22:27:32
Sorry not true ff79 his parents told him chelsea could offer him more his contract was up nearly up anyway

05 Jan 2018 10:20:36
Takis Lemon is in talks. Previous olympiacos manager.

1.) 05 Jan 2018 11:06:26
Something to suck on at least

2.) 05 Jan 2018 11:09:29
Better off with Keith lemon😀😀😀

3.) 05 Jan 2018 11:15:59
That could leave a sour taste in the mouth when he leaves.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 11:20:45
Was well thought of by Olympiacos fans for being able to squeeze the best out of players.
Let's hope it Doesn't turn sour.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 11:29:46
R Whites as his assistant? 'Cos he's a lemon aid.😀

6.) 05 Jan 2018 11:34:17
Not a bad call Gazzared, 4 times at Olympiakos did well each time but sadly lost the dressing room and his defensive record in the Champions league (not wanting to lose) still i reckon Marinakis likes him, we will just have to wait and see 😈

7.) 05 Jan 2018 12:51:46
He is our manager according to Wikipedia!
Done a great job in Greece but would he transfer that to Championship and English players!?! Would Vellios come back into play under him and could he get best out of Bouchalakis!?

8.) 05 Jan 2018 13:29:20
Posted that earlier but is it possible that someone is being mischievous?
Heard you can alter things on Wikipedia, not sure weather that's possible though?.

{Ed001's Note - anyone can alter it, that's why I normally delete any reference to wiki. It is unreliable.}

9.) 05 Jan 2018 14:00:30
Cheers edd that makes things a bit clearer.

10.) 05 Jan 2018 16:15:28
Just read one news report that Arsenal will face MARTIN O NEILS Nottingham Forest on Sunday. Very strange mistake to make unless somebody knows something . Weird.

11.) 05 Jan 2018 19:23:13
The bottom line is nothing is clear haha reading reports we have talked to burton and barnelys about Clough and Heckingbottom and then other reports saying Karanka is done deal and others Lemonis whilst other papers saying we been working out deal with O’Neil. hopefully something is going on and they just aren’t leaking anything so papers just making it up and guessing rather than nothing going on.

06 Dec 2017 06:50:54
Many clubs in for Lichaj, including Leeds and some MLS clubs. Get his contract sorted now Forest, he's twice the player of Darikwa.

1.) 06 Dec 2017 09:24:07
With so many clubs interested that should show Warburton how good he is, and he should keep being picked, and in his best position.

2.) 06 Dec 2017 12:09:13
If the contract he,s being offered is the one in the post I still think MW is trying to move him on and then blame the player ,he loves TD.

3.) 06 Dec 2017 13:30:26
Give over. Agent and club are haggling and Eric wants to stay!

4.) 06 Dec 2017 13:48:56
I have to admit, I don't see what some of you do when it comes to Lichaj. He was released from a very poor Aston Villa squad, which in my opinion says quite a lot. He's done ok for us but that's about it. I have seen him play on many occasions, and have you all forgotten when he gets turned, he's always first in with a little kick or shirt pull. I'm afraid if you want to see football at a higher level, it means bringing in players of a higher standard than Eric. Now I know your all going to hit me with the fans player of the year. well there was nobody else really to pick, in what was a poor squad.

5.) 06 Dec 2017 16:45:15

Although you have a point, what i think you are missing is that if he was as good as you want him to be he would not have hung around Forest.

When Antonio was with us Eric allowed him to do what he did best by covering his defensive duties.

Eric works hard is pretty good at defending and gets forward aswell, forget about him having been player of the year, he is our best defender.

6.) 06 Dec 2017 19:43:35
Eric needs to stay and be made captain,he's been here long enough and majority of fans love him,he's happy and settled in Nottingham and always puts a shift in,someone has to take over from Cohen and I can't think of anyone better, still relatively young for a full back and someone who the fans relate to.
Sign him up and make him captain

7.) 06 Dec 2017 21:23:30
Redman, unfortunately, due to the many years of decline at our club, I think we now have to accept that any decent players we get, or produce out of the academy are going to be sold to a bigger club with money. The hope is with the academy you produce a conveyor belt of talent. We therefore can't just look to sign average players as we are worried about them leaving at some point in the future. With Eric, we have had a very poor defence for over 2 seasons now, and the fact he's standing out as the best player, I think is not a reflection of his ability, but more how poor our defence has become. I see too much sentiment attached to this player, and as a business we want the best we can get. If we want progression, this is all part of it.

8.) 06 Dec 2017 21:55:04
Murdoch were no different from any side outside the prem,You get a good player and he'll move on.
Even if you get to the premier, unless your top six,if you have a good player they'll move on.
Only got to look at Southampton for that, what a side they'd have if they could have kept the talent, got nothing to do with clubs in decline.

9.) 07 Dec 2017 06:02:12
Britt left in the summer because he wanted to go but we kept hold of the youth
We will end up selling some but Fawaz has gone so the quick buck mentality should have gone too
Move forward Murdoch, that's what the club is trying to do and Eric is a player that can help us do that

10.) 07 Dec 2017 09:07:25
Sell Eric at your peril Warbs!!!

11.) 07 Dec 2017 13:42:08
We will have to agree to disagree on this one, as I really don't see that Eric raises the standard of the team. An ok championship player at best. If we went back to the last time we had a good back four, so I'm thinking Morgan, Chambers and probably Cohen at left back. Add Eric to that, and ask who is the weakest player? For me it's Eric all day long. Fast forward to now, and suddenly he's the best we have?! No, because you can pick 3 others ahead of him. This is my point about having better calibre players. We have been so poor in this area for years now, some of you have almost accepted the lower level as the new standard!

27 Oct 2017 12:31:34
Forest are looking to sign Moroccan international Mimoun Mahi in January for 2m. This is the release cause in his contract. Currently plays for FC Groningen in the Dutch league. He's a winger and has scored 16 goals in 26 games.

1.) 27 Oct 2017 13:25:47
Stoke are the front runners for him followed by Swansea and Bristol city

2.) 27 Oct 2017 13:26:59
That is a great return of goals for a winger i have not seen him play, after the recent Dutch failures you can not be sure of how to judge the Dutch leagues. Who should go should we get him, as we are bulky in the midfield department.

3.) 27 Oct 2017 14:48:59
Another defender?surley not.

4.) 28 Oct 2017 09:19:41
If we sign another M&M is this a plan to get sponsored by Mars?

5.) 28 Oct 2017 10:48:43
Remember Lars Veldvijk, he had scored over 40 goals in the same league and he was a million miles away from being a championship player so why would we be interested in this guy.

6.) 28 Oct 2017 11:11:12
There was also the ex Arsenal midfielder we got from one of the Dutch leagues.?

7.) 28 Oct 2017 12:51:33
Emnicilio, yeah remember him. his running was a bit funny 😂😂😋

23 Aug 2017 23:03:44
How bad is Cummings injury? Our fire power this season is the best we've had for years. Just need to sort the defence out.

1.) 24 Aug 2017 09:49:31
I thoght it was the Greek lad who has some tightness and like Vaughan MW is taking a precaution by him coming off.

10 Mar 2018 07:37:55
I really hope Tomlin can start for us tomorrow, Dowells form has dropped right off and he's not ready for such a big game, I think he'll wilt and go missing. Also get lichaj in for Darikwa, more solid at RB for me. If Brereton focuses on staying on his feet he can cause Keogh so many problems.

1.) 10 Mar 2018 07:48:25
Tomlin is class when his head is right. He clearly loves playing for AK. Maybe if Warnock wants to keep Traore a deal can be done.

2.) 10 Mar 2018 09:56:39
Would be even better if he lost some timber.
Otherwise a good player with bags of skill and ability.

05 Mar 2018 15:39:04
Just to start some debate as I don't really know the answer but I have an opinion, what is Ben Osbourns position. I personally think his attributes are best suited to where he's currently filling in at left back. He's got the energy to get up and down the field all day, he can put a foot in and has a decent pass on him, albeit mostly backwards. What are others thoughts on what his actually position is?

1.) 05 Mar 2018 16:20:51
He's got the quickest feet at the club, can play with his head up, picks a decent pass & can finish.

He's an ACM all day long, assuming he doesn't have to drop too deep to get the ball.

Anywhere deeper he lacks the physical edge to get upfield. I think he gets shoe horned into different positions purely because his of his engine.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 16:43:24
Definitely not left back,Not tall enough and not the best of tackles.
Sides would soon spot that weakness in the air at the far post or running at him.
The future doesn't look good for him with Watson colback Lolly cash tomlin and geddy all ahead of him in midfield.

3.) 05 Mar 2018 17:23:39
The other thing is what the crack with this Fuentes character. Is it still a fitness issue or do they now having had a good look at him think he's not up to it.I was expecting on Saturday that Worrall would come in and Fox move to left back.I must state I wouldn't have Fox anywhere near left back.I would argue left and right back both need addressing in the summer.Dont think Lichaj/Darikwa or Fox are good enough.

4.) 05 Mar 2018 17:31:13
Benny quicker feet than Tomlin ?
That mans got Brazilian feet I,m afraid Benny no where near that level.

5.) 05 Mar 2018 17:36:55
Colback and tomlin are on is right footed and won’t play left side of anywhere whilst Osborn is here.saying Osborn only passes sideways is mind boggling.

6.) 05 Mar 2018 19:16:02
I think that left back is bens best position i don't think he is good enough to play in midfield, we have a lot better players now that are tactical better in midfield. I think with a fulll season at left back and the fact he can get up and down the wing he could flourish in that position.
ashley Cole wasnt much bigger so i don't think height will be an issue ben just needs to get his position right

7.) 05 Mar 2018 20:03:51
Perks I’m with you. Lichaj, fox and darikwa - I think we can hopefully find better. This should be by selling Worral or Brereton if the previous figures are anything near accurate

8.) 05 Mar 2018 20:45:45
2 star given Worrall can't get in the starting 11 at the minute and assuming he doesn't before the end of the season how much impact will that have on his value.Personally I think we might have missed the boat on anything like 10 million. We need a quality striker and they cost a bob or 2.

9.) 05 Mar 2018 20:57:50
Perhaps we have but fingers crossed what dyche saw is still there to be developed. Honestly would you have ever paid what was being muted ? The price may have been talk anyway

10.) 05 Mar 2018 20:58:36
Any thoughts on a striker?

11.) 05 Mar 2018 21:03:35
I think Benny is a utility man and a club man too. Problem he has is left back is the only position we don't have a better player for, yet. If Fuentes appears and does the business, then the bench is where you'll find him.

12.) 05 Mar 2018 21:13:07
Not sure.Think if you are going with 1 up top you need a certain type of player and also depends on budget.

13.) 05 Mar 2018 21:21:32
The early season Murphy would have done. I thought the game and how we were playing would suit him well, but he was abysmal. I do think he is what we need for the way we bring Tomlin and Jolley into the attack but he’s past I reckon.

14.) 05 Mar 2018 21:35:24
This is just a theory 2 star but my nephew brother and most the other lads I go to the match with think this.
Murphy came to us for game time with the world cup coming up?
He'd already moved his family to Ireland before he signed and is it a coincidence that since Ireland failed to qualify his form has spiralled downwards?
He can't be a happy man living away from his wife and kids.

15.) 05 Mar 2018 21:50:14
Your right 79 and injured more all of a sudden.Pathetic contribution second half,no effort at all.

16.) 05 Mar 2018 22:00:07
It’s a theory that makes sense - he’s half the player he was . Other theory is he might not like Karanaka or the way Mark Warburton was disposed of?

17.) 06 Mar 2018 14:40:44
Cjay,,your saying Osborne's got "the quickest feet at our club" obviously you haven't seen me on a Saturday night after a few bevvies at "my club!!" 🕺🕺🕺🍻🍻🍻😂😂😂

16 Feb 2018 15:23:42
FF, you'll like this - one criticism I do have of AK is his touchline demeanour. He has said that the team need to be ready for "a war" against Burton. Maybe he should include himself in that statement and show the players a bit more desire from the touchline instead of standing, silent with his hands in his pockets.

1.) 16 Feb 2018 16:10:11
That's two if you include your other post, lack of knowledge?

2.) 16 Feb 2018 17:54:08
The Prince of Darkness prowls our touchline. So be afraid be very afraid!

Wallace & Gromit before him had the same faults. In their case a cheesy demeanour on the touchline and lack of knowledge of how quickly the Championship had moved on while they preened themselves in Scotland?

Funny how Mick McCarthy stole Garner and Waghorn from Rangers at the same time and yet no-one mentions how well they are playing for Ipswich?

So boys put your blunt knives back in the box and top up your half empty glasses instead scratching around for an excuse to be miserable to down what's left of your flat pint?

3.) 17 Feb 2018 08:57:41
Wallace and Gromit, like it. More cheese Gromit?😀

4.) 17 Feb 2018 10:11:25
RiE I tend to agree although I think you're being a bit harsh on the banter fans. From what I remember about AK during the previous games, and from what fans who were there said, he shouted and made signs to players who failed to respond, and at that point he stepped back and made notes. He gave them the chance to do it right and they didn't; no point in bawling your head off at someone who isn't listening and wants to play how they want to play themselves. Either you have a boss and do what he says or you can sling your hook.

16 Feb 2018 15:08:43
If we go 4 at the back tomorrow with Fox at left back, we lose. We lose by more if all Fox has for cover is Dowell. The most obvious weakness in our recent performances can be seen by anyone who has a slight knowledge of the game. Please AK plug this hole in the bucket tomorrow and give fox some cover.

1.) 17 Feb 2018 09:01:41
Dowell is a concern, I hope we don't play him just because of a loan clause. He's maybe dropped his standards by 10% but then again he's probably being targeted, as one of our better players. All part of learning your trade, let's hope he ups his game.👍

11 Feb 2018 07:51:58
I can't remember the last time a saw a forest performance so bad. The only player I was impressed with was Pantillimon, his communication was very good and didn't do too much wrong. It's no coincidence that for much of the match the ball ended up down our left flank, time after time Hull targeted Danny Fox who again was woeful. He gets stuck too high up the pitch, is too slow to get back leaving Osbourne and guediora getting sucked in. I'd be very surprised if Dowell plays again, he was shocking, gave the ball away at every opportunity and couldn't pick a pass all game long. I could go through the whole team and point blame but the post would be too long. AK hinted that he game the team who played Preston another chance to prove themselves, well AK I hope you got your answers and I hope the new players you bought in are half decent because they've got to dig us out of a big hole,.

1.) 11 Feb 2018 08:12:32
We have no choice but to stick with ak now I just can’t see how we’re going to get any better with the players we have the defence is no different to the last 2-3 seasons there’s no goals in the forward line up and the formation just doesn’t work so please come up with a plan b

2.) 11 Feb 2018 08:16:00
He can change the whole team and make no difference.
We have only three strikers who are played isolated and have no confidence because of the way they have to play.
The tactics will send us down not the players.

3.) 11 Feb 2018 08:45:59
That’s ok ff79 but as much as we don’t think ak is as good as everyone thought it’s to late and really dumb to bring another manager in I can’t stand the thought of us swapping and changing again we’re just going to after hope that ak comes good and very quickly if we can get a win against Burton we still have a bit of Lee way and that one win desperately needed could give players a bit of confidence that’s needed keeping my fingers crossed for burton game even bigger than the hull game

4.) 11 Feb 2018 09:14:32
There was a clear lack of direction yesterday, when Hull came forward we didn't seem to have enough men behind the ball yet when we went forward there was a clear lack of players running forward. So we must have packed put the midfield. We'll yes but then no one had support when they were on the ball in the middle of the pitch. Truly a shambles. I think the blame is with AK and the players. The players look beaten before they kick a ball and AK isn't making his message clear enough because every player on that pitch yesterday looked lost.

5.) 11 Feb 2018 09:29:50
Brazil came in and installed a bit of confidence back into the cub the players and the fans.
Karanka has destroyed that and with no team spirit you won't win games.

6.) 11 Feb 2018 10:08:40
I get your point 79 but things needed to be shaken up, too long we've put up with journeymen giving average performances, getting the club no where. At least AK has came in and tried to do something about it. It's a true test of how fragile our old crop is that as soon as a manager comes in and puts them under some pressure, they completely fold. Well I'm sorry Mancienne, Osbourne, Fox and Co. It's time to step up or get out of our club because too long we've accepted their mediocre performances.

7.) 11 Feb 2018 10:51:38
Trouble is gazza he's bought journeyman in.
You have to shake things up gradually at this point of the season you don't go out and buy 10 unfit players.
There isn't the time to get them fit.
Too many changes too quickly it just makes for one really unhappy club atmosphere.
You'll see darikwa at right back next week that's clear he doesn't fancy Eric.

I've never been a fan of Fox and I will reserve my judgement until next season after he's signed that contract, I wonder if he'll still play with such intensity. My bet is no.

All I'm saying is players at Dawsons level aren't going to get us there. Have a look at Hulls defensive record this season.

Can't believe we're even considering Dawson, how many other 34 year old pros will be out there with no club at the end of the season, why not get them all in, surely there has to be more ambition than that. If you think the Dawsons of this world are going to get us to the premiership you're delusional. Maybe nostalgia is taking over again, get an ex red back, it'll be great. Have we not learnt our lesson, move on, move forward, have some actually ambition.

We don't need any more players the wrong side of 30 on high wages and long contracts. As good as Fox has been at CB this season, he's ultimately playing for a contract to see him through to retirement so there's no guarantee his form will continue after he's signed on the dotted line, I would personally let him go and find another CB. That said I don't believe Dawson is the answer, he's 34 and IMO opinion hasn't been great for Hull for a couple of seasons now and is only going to decline further. Let's continue to get fresh blood in to the club who can take us forward.

Get Oliveira back at the CG. Got real class, scores goals for fun when he's got support around him, would fit right back in to this team and is currently warming the bench at Norwich and unhappy.

So by your theory as long as experience is on the pitch, regardless of talent, we'll win games? They need to be very good players also, experience isn't everything. See the players you listed for details.

Fig is better than Worrall, rarely puts a foot wrong. Worrall still has a lot to learn, he costs goals.
