Many clubs in for Lichaj, including Leeds and some MLS clubs. Get his contract sorted now Forest, he's twice the player of Darikwa.

1.) 06 Dec 2017 09:24:07
With so many clubs interested that should show Warburton how good he is, and he should keep being picked, and in his best position.

2.) 06 Dec 2017 12:09:13
If the contract he,s being offered is the one in the post I still think MW is trying to move him on and then blame the player ,he loves TD.

3.) 06 Dec 2017 13:30:26
Give over. Agent and club are haggling and Eric wants to stay!

4.) 06 Dec 2017 13:48:56
I have to admit, I don't see what some of you do when it comes to Lichaj. He was released from a very poor Aston Villa squad, which in my opinion says quite a lot. He's done ok for us but that's about it. I have seen him play on many occasions, and have you all forgotten when he gets turned, he's always first in with a little kick or shirt pull. I'm afraid if you want to see football at a higher level, it means bringing in players of a higher standard than Eric. Now I know your all going to hit me with the fans player of the year. well there was nobody else really to pick, in what was a poor squad.

5.) 06 Dec 2017 16:45:15

Although you have a point, what i think you are missing is that if he was as good as you want him to be he would not have hung around Forest.

When Antonio was with us Eric allowed him to do what he did best by covering his defensive duties.

Eric works hard is pretty good at defending and gets forward aswell, forget about him having been player of the year, he is our best defender.

6.) 06 Dec 2017 19:43:35
Eric needs to stay and be made captain,he's been here long enough and majority of fans love him,he's happy and settled in Nottingham and always puts a shift in,someone has to take over from Cohen and I can't think of anyone better, still relatively young for a full back and someone who the fans relate to.
Sign him up and make him captain

7.) 06 Dec 2017 21:23:30
Redman, unfortunately, due to the many years of decline at our club, I think we now have to accept that any decent players we get, or produce out of the academy are going to be sold to a bigger club with money. The hope is with the academy you produce a conveyor belt of talent. We therefore can't just look to sign average players as we are worried about them leaving at some point in the future. With Eric, we have had a very poor defence for over 2 seasons now, and the fact he's standing out as the best player, I think is not a reflection of his ability, but more how poor our defence has become. I see too much sentiment attached to this player, and as a business we want the best we can get. If we want progression, this is all part of it.

8.) 06 Dec 2017 21:55:04
Murdoch were no different from any side outside the prem,You get a good player and he'll move on.
Even if you get to the premier, unless your top six,if you have a good player they'll move on.
Only got to look at Southampton for that, what a side they'd have if they could have kept the talent, got nothing to do with clubs in decline.

9.) 07 Dec 2017 06:02:12
Britt left in the summer because he wanted to go but we kept hold of the youth
We will end up selling some but Fawaz has gone so the quick buck mentality should have gone too
Move forward Murdoch, that's what the club is trying to do and Eric is a player that can help us do that

10.) 07 Dec 2017 09:07:25
Sell Eric at your peril Warbs!!!

11.) 07 Dec 2017 13:42:08
We will have to agree to disagree on this one, as I really don't see that Eric raises the standard of the team. An ok championship player at best. If we went back to the last time we had a good back four, so I'm thinking Morgan, Chambers and probably Cohen at left back. Add Eric to that, and ask who is the weakest player? For me it's Eric all day long. Fast forward to now, and suddenly he's the best we have?! No, because you can pick 3 others ahead of him. This is my point about having better calibre players. We have been so poor in this area for years now, some of you have almost accepted the lower level as the new standard!

27 Oct 2017 12:31:34
Forest are looking to sign Moroccan international Mimoun Mahi in January for 2m. This is the release cause in his contract. Currently plays for FC Groningen in the Dutch league. He's a winger and has scored 16 goals in 26 games.

1.) 27 Oct 2017 13:25:47
Stoke are the front runners for him followed by Swansea and Bristol city

2.) 27 Oct 2017 13:26:59
That is a great return of goals for a winger i have not seen him play, after the recent Dutch failures you can not be sure of how to judge the Dutch leagues. Who should go should we get him, as we are bulky in the midfield department.

3.) 27 Oct 2017 14:48:59
Another defender?surley not.

4.) 28 Oct 2017 09:19:41
If we sign another M&M is this a plan to get sponsored by Mars?

5.) 28 Oct 2017 10:48:43
Remember Lars Veldvijk, he had scored over 40 goals in the same league and he was a million miles away from being a championship player so why would we be interested in this guy.

6.) 28 Oct 2017 11:11:12
There was also the ex Arsenal midfielder we got from one of the Dutch leagues.?

7.) 28 Oct 2017 12:51:33
Emnicilio, yeah remember him. his running was a bit funny πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹

23 Aug 2017 23:03:44
How bad is Cummings injury? Our fire power this season is the best we've had for years. Just need to sort the defence out.

1.) 24 Aug 2017 09:49:31
I thoght it was the Greek lad who has some tightness and like Vaughan MW is taking a precaution by him coming off.

11 Aug 2017 12:43:19
Federici to be announced today for a nominal fee thought to be around 1m. Great experience in the Championship, another fantastic bit of business.

1.) 11 Aug 2017 17:44:51
Let's hope he can "play in any position" otherwise we'll be having a team made up of goalkeepers pretty soon.

2.) 11 Aug 2017 18:06:43
Negotiations are ongoing over Aiden Flint from Bristol City. Apparently we've offered Β£7m cash or Β£8m plus Mills.

3.) 11 Aug 2017 18:29:56
Haha. So we're willing to pay an extra Β£1m just so they'll take Mills away! I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but he's not that bad!

4.) 11 Aug 2017 18:35:55
They can have Mills, i find it hard to believe that amount. If we were willing to spend that amount why is Mcdonald not already signed when we were quoted Β£7m.

5.) 11 Aug 2017 19:23:09
I heard flint will cost Β£1mill but with mills going the other way they want and extra Β£6million.

6.) 11 Aug 2017 19:27:18
Β£91k per inch and worth every penny if we half the goals against column?

7.) 11 Aug 2017 19:28:40
id rather have 7mil than 8mil plus mills to be fair.

8.) 11 Aug 2017 19:43:40
It was meant to be a joke, I think most of you got it. Not all though by the looks of it.

9.) 11 Aug 2017 19:55:16
Tell you what red I'd settle for 91K per inch, that's 546K.
Not to "sniffed"at? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

10.) 12 Aug 2017 00:04:47
I take it maths is not your strong point?

11.) 12 Aug 2017 03:44:55
I'd say having a laugh isn't yours, πŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

12.) 12 Aug 2017 07:21:54
Puma that was wasted on most πŸ˜‚.

13.) 12 Aug 2017 09:19:03

14.) 12 Aug 2017 13:05:54
Maths is fine I know what I see when I'm using the urinal. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

23 Jul 2017 08:23:30
Looks like we've gave up on Justin James and instead want to sign Jason Lowe on a free instead after he was released by Blackburn.

1.) 23 Jul 2017 08:40:55
Lowe is for the here and now, James is for the future, so could either be binding our time, or still negotiating with Luton.

MW needs to make sure he makes some quality additions in January because this team isn't good enough. 2 defenders needed, 2 strong attacking midfielders and another striker.

1.) 16 Dec 2017 16:37:54
Or at least "Three Wise Men!!"

2.) 16 Dec 2017 17:49:35
We have bought Bouchalakis , Clough and Bridcutt . Of these only Bridcutt is in the team every week. Dowell is an attacking midfielder. So to me we need a defensive midfielder / Captain. If the defence is a problem as well who do we change. Mancienne ?? Smith ??? I don’t think either should be changed as my opinion it is a defensive midfielder we need.
Murphy works hard but is a luxury and hasn’t now scored for a while . Bereton although young takes players on unlike Murphy. When Dowell goes his strikes will be missed. I think the Derby Leeds Bristol trio are sides that have a group of 8 or so players that been been together for several years . This was we need not while saje changes and definitely not the manager. A mid table final position would be a base for next season

23 Nov 2017 10:39:03
I see Bridcutt is coming under some criticism, and in my opinion rightly so. He seems ineffective most of the time and is so slow to pick a pass. In the Birmingham game he simply stood still appealing for a foul instead of tracking back. Vaughan is a different class in comparison. for me it should be Bouch and Vaughan in the centre, both have good defensive qualities but can pick a pass and score a goal.

1.) 23 Nov 2017 13:58:55
First on here people over-criticise Osborn, and now they want to do the same with Bridcutt. I don't see it, Bridcutt has made some good tackles, interceptions and passes, and some frankly not so good. They're all on a steep learning curve and will make errors. Give him some time and space to settle into the club and the team. We have not seen the best of him yet, and despite a couple of early goals the Bouch hasn't set the world alight.

2.) 23 Nov 2017 14:33:17
But he is mid 20's and that is his trade, should he not take to it like a duck to water ?

3.) 23 Nov 2017 14:33:33
And paid a lot of money to do it !!

4.) 23 Nov 2017 14:38:10
he needs to stop being as naive defensively as he is, imho.

hes played some cracking balls forward though. just wish he'd do it more often!

might be a confidence thing with him.

when you have a player as good as vaughn, most players will pale in comparison

5.) 23 Nov 2017 16:23:32
Bouch hasn't done a lot because he hasn't played. I would take him over bridcutt.

6.) 23 Nov 2017 23:55:32
Well you'll get your wish on Sunday then.

17 Nov 2017 07:30:37
The top goal scorer so far in the Championship is a 23 year old Brazilian on loan from a Saudi team. That's some great scouting on Wolves behalf. I'd like to see forest put some serious investment in to their scouting network to give us a real chance of finding some gems. As it stands it would seem that Scotland is the only country we're interested in and precious to that it was who ever Fawaz could find. I just think we're missing a great opportunity and always have.

1.) 17 Nov 2017 08:44:02
Great scouting yes, just think what some fans on here would have said had we brought him in from a Saudi team, or does the fact he is Brazilian change everything.

Where did we get Murphy from, where did we get Dowell from, all be it on loan. Where did we get Bridcutt from,ok they are not off our shores, but not from Scotland.

We were after Ronnow, where is he from, not Scotland. Some moaned about Bouchalakis being our owners interference, he is not doing too badly, again not from Scotland.

At the end of the day the further you scout away from Europe the more money you need, you have to make money in order to spend it, you could ask our owner but he would then dump the cost on to the club, why should he do out of the goodness of his heart.

2.) 17 Nov 2017 11:27:46
Agree and McKay is a gem btw.πŸ˜€

3.) 17 Nov 2017 12:56:41
we took a risk on the algerians a couple years ago. pot luck with some. i for one wouldn't be too hopeful on people coming from leagues I've only seen on fifa without rigourous scouting.

I trust in Mcparland!

4.) 17 Nov 2017 13:40:22

You are right, if the club is interested in a player they have to be scouted rigorously, Kenny Burns recently said Peter Taylor had someone follow him to horses before we signed him, he also said it was a good job he was only a small time betting man.

The character of a player is just as important as his skill, the Algerians you mentioned are a ideal example of that. McPharland has done very well so far, so some need to have more faith in him to find gems.

5.) 17 Nov 2017 16:29:04
Arr, Abdoun the bearded magician ! I miss him

11 Nov 2017 10:33:38
Just seen the forgotten man Gboly Ariyibi score a cracker for MK Dons on soccer AM. Hope MW gives him a chance.

1.) 11 Nov 2017 12:04:45
It would be great to see him in a Forest shirt, he has pace to spare and scores goals, every team needs players like that.

He could fight it out with McKay for a starting place, and come off the bench aswell.

McKay could also play just behind Murphy if Warburton wanted to play both, that could cause havoc.

2.) 11 Nov 2017 17:26:24
Or a perfect replacement if we cash in on McKay not what we want to think will happen but probable if his value rockets like it could.

3.) 12 Nov 2017 16:41:09
Where is everyone??!! 😱😱😱

4.) 13 Nov 2017 08:30:42
I’ve got a feeling people might be sniffing around Osborn. It’d be a shame to see him go but if it’s a perm team and he puts in the performances like he did vs QPR I can see him getting a fair fee and have a pop at getting in the England squad in the next few years.

5.) 13 Nov 2017 20:03:24
With how much ground he covers he will not smell very sweet.

6.) 13 Nov 2017 22:36:37
We're here Rogie just chilling with the players 😎😎😎

01 Nov 2017 11:50:35
There's only 4 teams in the league with a worse goal difference. We win small and lose big. as it stands I think we're in a false position, and if the trend continues, over time, we will slip down the table. A lot of strange decisions being made.

1.) 01 Nov 2017 12:11:42
I don't believe there is any such thing as a 'false position'. You are where you are by results. If you don't get the right results you'll slide down the table and if you get the right results you'll move up the table. Either way at this point in the season league position is irrelevant. Where you finish is what matters.

2.) 01 Nov 2017 13:11:10
Law of averages Phycho, eventually it will come through and we will drop down the table.

3.) 01 Nov 2017 15:03:52
Law of averages at this moment would suggest mid table.
Win on ,lose one ?
If that Carry's on it'll be 69 points.
Early days to know where well be come the end of season

4.) 01 Nov 2017 18:42:57
Our form is like what Les Dawson's was on the piano. brilliant one minute, rubbish the next!! 🎹🎹🎹

5.) 01 Nov 2017 21:30:57
More ups and downs than Russell brands mattress.πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

6.) 02 Nov 2017 06:40:27
It's not hard to work out that the defence is the problem and mw hands are tied till January it's that simple if we can stay mid table by January and he strengthens the defence up with good players we will have a good season if he gets to January and is given a good amount of money hopefully he will spend it on the defence if he doesn't I will start to worry then but so far I'm happy with where we are there's no conspiracy theory it's the defence needs sorting simples hurry up January

7.) 02 Nov 2017 06:45:19
Put them rose tinted glasses on I'm sure you'll see where we going to finish πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

He was player of the season last year and if he gets a good run in the team, he'll be player of the season again this year. Different class to Darikwa. But it seems Warbo has his favourites and I can't see that contract coming any time soon.

we officially have the worst form in the league. I agree we need to give the manager more time but it gets to a point where you have to accept that we will soon be starring relegation in the face. let's hope he manages to turn it around because I've seen no improvement so far. on a side note, forests MOTM on Sunday - Lichaj by a country mile.

Not ruined but we shouldn't try and replicate continental football, we just don't have the players to pull it off. Crouch up front, long ball, that's what I say.

Arvin Appiah scored for the England under 17's last night and also made an assist. The future is very bright if we can hold on to these players and give them all they need to reach their potential. It's great having MW at the club in that respect but have we found a replacement for JL yet?
