Blackett, Mcdonald, Mings and McLean are the players being targeted as well as another striker. They would all be great additions in my opinion.

1.) 29 Jan 2019 13:18:54
Forget Mings. Let West Brom and Villa scrap it out.ยฃ80k a week and hardly kicked a ball in a year. Eric Pieters being mooted as part of a swap deal inc Maclean with Osborn going to Stoke. Desperately need a striker too. Austin, Gray, Vydra???

2.) 29 Jan 2019 13:25:33
Erik Peiters too is on radar as is a lot of clubs interested in Mings but yes agree these would all be good. Blankett is a young player with a lot of experience having come through ranks at Man U before joining Reading and can play across the back. MacDonald is a complete midfielder and I think with him and Colback sitting in centre it would open up to play Carvalho or two strikers as MacDonald will break up play but also start attacks and still is mobile unlike Watson or Yacob even Pep.
Defo need a leftback as well so if we could sign Blankett plus Mings or Pieters then would have plenty of cover then!
I would be happy with McLean too especially if Osbourn goes but I would like to see another striker come in.
Could be an interested big few days.

3.) 29 Jan 2019 14:40:28
I donโ€™t think McDonald is mobile

4.) 29 Jan 2019 15:06:26
Is McDonald better than Colback and Yacob ? Question not a statement?

5.) 29 Jan 2019 15:06:54
No they haven't got round to that yet,but you can use the drive through.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

6.) 29 Jan 2019 15:12:38
Hope we can land all 4. I have a sneaky feeling Martin might just fancy getting in Crouchy to give us a different option up front and get on the end of crosses as an impact sub?

7.) 29 Jan 2019 15:28:41
Red have you seen the quality of our crosses all season lol

8.) 29 Jan 2019 15:30:57
McDonald is definitely a better player although not the box to box midfielder we need. Iโ€™m still of the opinion that the best option would be Nick Powell whoโ€™s younger and scores more goals than any of those mentioned. Perhaps we have that player in Carvalaho if used in a slightly different role???

9.) 29 Jan 2019 15:34:48
If Crouch were 3 years younger then yes for sure but not now. Andy Carroll is available for ยฃ2 million and if we could afford his wages and guarantee he stays fit he would be awesome in this division but not going to happen like many other players that are being mentioned.

10.) 29 Jan 2019 17:14:33
RIE Crouch would be a good signing.

11.) 29 Jan 2019 17:44:56
Injury prone or not Iโ€™d defo take a chance on Carroll if he was available

12.) 29 Jan 2019 18:26:28
Crouch WOULD get on the end of our crosses. if he sat in the stand!!!

13.) 29 Jan 2019 19:06:00
Nick26 are you actually Nick Powell? LOL

14.) 29 Jan 2019 19:16:31
Why do we keep looking at 30 + year olds when we have talented youngsters who will run faster be hungrier and will be less likely to getshed loads of injuries or look at a lower league strikerit worked with Britt who,d I'd have any day of the week

15.) 29 Jan 2019 19:29:26
For me Carroll has pinched a living from football for too many years.

16.) 29 Jan 2019 19:34:44
Martin is synonymous with players in, and around 30 years of age, so why the surprise ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

If they produce the goods no one will care what their age is.

17.) 29 Jan 2019 21:33:31
Would any of those be "class" signings?

18.) 29 Jan 2019 22:03:13
Not caught anything yet then perks?๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ

19.) 29 Jan 2019 22:16:30
They will all be on short contracts to get us up or bail out to comply FFP so if the are better than what we have what's the problem? In 18 months time we should have a few of our own that have stepped up!

08 Jan 2019 07:02:40
Forest have offered a short term contract to 20 year old French striker, Idris Kadded. Quite a strange one, not sure what our intentions are signing such an unproven player.

1.) 08 Jan 2019 09:04:13
Our Sporting Director has come from the French league, so that has his stamp all over it. Hope it works out.

2.) 08 Jan 2019 13:11:46
Itโ€™s only a 6 month long deal so not much to worry about.

24 Dec 2018 06:41:15
There's no coincidence that the goals have dried up since bringing Osborn back in to the team. He's rubbish! Cash on the bench makes no sense.

1.) 24 Dec 2018 09:36:13
Rubbish seems a bit harsh Gazza.

21 Dec 2018 06:34:46
Interesting comments by Karanka on Lolley. "He needs to concentrate on this club" and "i wouldn't want to buy him" talking about his first half performance against derby. Great man management or talking about a player he knows is leaving in Jan?

1.) 22 Dec 2018 06:59:56
If he is weโ€™ll get a ridiculous amount of money for him. Iโ€™d imagine ยฃ15m+. If thatโ€™s the case Iโ€™d imagine that would pay for a left back and a new winger with money to spare for a new gk should we need one. I donโ€™t think Dias or Goncalves are going to stay past January now. Thereโ€™s not been enough hype recently for me to think theyโ€™re staying.

2.) 22 Dec 2018 10:00:09
Just reminding him to get his contract extension signed then get his head down again to prove he is not a half season wonder. He is a marked man now and needs to prove he can step up to Premiership level.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench today just to reinforce the point!

Today is our annual home banker so hopefully we will cut loose with 3 or 4 goals today with Lolley popping in a couple off the bench?

3.) 22 Dec 2018 12:12:43
Be a bit daft to stick our best player on the bench

4.) 22 Dec 2018 14:01:51
Good job karanka doesn't listen to you red lolley laying looks like a great line up

5.) 22 Dec 2018 19:49:12
Red we can't buy a goal at home, never mind 3 or 4,correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the first time we've lost to QPR at ours?
Another record for the chosen one.
Karanka needs a totally different approach to home games, his pal has just been sacked for playing boring football at home,so he needs to learn a lesson fast.

6.) 23 Dec 2018 08:00:02
FF. Good points you have put across.
What I don't understand is why our performance away are better than at home?
When opposing teams come here Krankie always has the same tactics?
No doubt red will slate me for speaking ill of his beloved one Krankie but results I'm afraid don't lie.
So red when you're dining with krankie ask him why our beloved team play carp at home and what he up his sleeve to change things?Hopefully a pigeon doesn't fly out of it๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

10 Dec 2018 11:43:33
Fraser Forster would be a great addition in Jan?

1.) 10 Dec 2018 13:08:39
Would they sell,or would it be a loan.?

2.) 10 Dec 2018 13:59:44
Who cares, just get him in

Take a look at Dias' goal for Forest B Team last night, what a screamer. Bags of potential no doubt but clearly didn't like it in England.

1.) 15 Feb 2019 10:14:12
The league was too physical for him.

2.) 15 Feb 2019 11:16:11
Children's playground would be too physical for him.

13 Feb 2019 07:05:26
Only one change needed to the starting line up for the next game and that's Yacob for Watson. Osborn looked like little boy playing against men at some points last night but he can't be faulted for his efforts.

1.) 13 Feb 2019 07:24:57
What a welcome site to see O'Neill and Keane going mental over that pathetic ref, clearly that transcended onto the pitch with a great fighting display.
Makes a change to standing with your hands in your pockets,

2.) 13 Feb 2019 07:49:18
Mr Columbo always got is hands in his poackets, Being Italian could not understand a word Aitor said

12 Feb 2019 19:24:56
Colback attacking mid instead of Carvalho, speaks volumes. He'll be gone in the summer at a huge expense to the club. I hope o'neill has this one right but we need creativity in that final third and that's what Carvalho gives you.

1.) 12 Feb 2019 19:43:55
Gazza me thinks this is a very strong side that mon has put out strongest all season

2.) 12 Feb 2019 19:51:51
Colback will be in a holding roll next to Watson. That should allow Yates,Lolley and Osborn to push on.

3.) 12 Feb 2019 20:51:09
I thought we were Nottingham forest not the rebirth of Wimbledon time we started playing football or take all midfield off play 5 upfront

26 Jan 2019 15:48:10
Good go see Pantillimon up to his usual stranded. Absolutely terrible!

1.) 26 Jan 2019 17:48:50
Love the "stranded" Gazza, however he wasn't half bad for the rest of the game.

17 Jan 2019 09:43:37
I see Karanka is second favourite for the Huddersfield job now. Someone called it on here a few days ago, maybe something he already had his eyes on.

1.) 17 Jan 2019 11:13:53
I did say he could have engineered his own exit, this is football after all and not much loyalty from anyone anymore, except the fans.

2.) 17 Jan 2019 11:34:07
799, If he walked then that is all the engineering he needed.

Either he walked or the owner sacked him, which is it.

3.) 17 Jan 2019 11:49:12
He walked

4.) 17 Jan 2019 12:01:37
As before who cares ancient history ๐Ÿ˜†

5.) 17 Jan 2019 12:08:50
799, If he walked then he engineered nothing, how is saying i'm leaving, and going engineering anything.

I hope Martin gets a great reception on Saturday, and i will go for a draw.

6.) 17 Jan 2019 12:14:54
Doesn't meen he didn't negotiate a pay off of some description in all that, anyway if it happens puts a different spin on things and maybe the hero worship for an average manager will be put to bed

7.) 17 Jan 2019 12:16:36
Skegsjay, Some people have said you are a bit sensitive about Freedman, well that is even more ancient history. ๐Ÿคฃ

8.) 17 Jan 2019 13:24:19
I love Dougie freedman as much as I loved krankie but not nearly as much as I would want them ever to come back so yes was sensitive lc but as you say and as I said to you ancient history onwards and upwards with a decent manager ๐Ÿ˜†

9.) 17 Jan 2019 13:25:59
Looked at a proper betting paper this morning racing post says karanka is a 20/1 outsider for the Huddersfield job

10.) 17 Jan 2019 14:00:50
Stevie they don't get much right on betting or we'd all be millionaires.

11.) 17 Jan 2019 22:43:57
Rarely do people walk out on something unless they have something better to go on to. In any walks of life. sales jobs, the Mrs etc

{Ed033's Note - Or unless they are in the ministry of silly walks

I'd love to see him stay but he isn't a 50k per week player. His agent has done him very proud getting him that deal.

He has to start instead of Murphy. Murphy simply doesn't have the goals in him to give us the promotion push we need, Ansarifard hasn't been given his chance yet.

Yacob for Watson. When Murphy came on you'd have thought he was the player that needed bringing off for a rest. Zero effort to get at the WBA defense.

Monanco player and previously benfica, we seem to have some kind of affiliation with these clubs. He'd be a solid signing.

Did you see Worralls blunder last night? I'd rather he stay and we get someone better in.

We have had one days more rest than villa and there last game was a local Derby so hopefully we can ride it out and come good in the last 20 mins when they start to tire.

As long as we keep picking up results, every game is a massive game. It's relentless from now till the end of the season, with every game that passes, the league will get more and more stretched.

I feel we're going to rue terrible refereeing decisions come the end of the season.

And to add to that list, some real passion on the sidelines during the game from Mon and RK, which must translate on to the pitch.
