Martin O'Niell to be announced later today

1.) 14 Jan 2019 11:25:13
Agrees i heard that too

2.) 14 Jan 2019 11:28:47
Blimey someone I’ve heard of!😁

3.) 14 Jan 2019 11:32:05
Nope. Sousa I'm afraid. 😢

4.) 14 Jan 2019 11:42:24
Not the one I was hoping for but better than Sousa and Calvaho or whatever his name is. Was hoping for Jokanovic but seems we couldn't quite land the big fish. Second prize will do. I think

5.) 14 Jan 2019 11:46:21
Looks like Martin is coming home. its on sky news too. This will be a positive step. Confounding rumours about upstairs interference

6.) 14 Jan 2019 11:51:04
Who ever it may be let's hope that there is minimal interference from above.

7.) 14 Jan 2019 11:51:54
I hope they are on their way up to Lincoln to sign the Management Team from there!

8.) 14 Jan 2019 11:53:33
I take that back. Red Dog I apologise. 👍

9.) 14 Jan 2019 12:02:47
All major press is saying O’Neil is only a few places suggesting Sousa.

10.) 14 Jan 2019 12:10:17
No problem FBB my fellow red

11.) 14 Jan 2019 12:37:05
Cheers red dog.

12.) 14 Jan 2019 15:54:41
One big happy family!

31 Aug 2018 12:09:29
We are linked with forward  Karim Ansarifard from Olympiacos. Don't know much about him only that he scored 18 from 34 games for them. Mr M shuffling his pack?

1.) 31 Aug 2018 12:37:41
Please no more gifts from olympiacos. Not the best of tract records from there.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 13:00:15
I will second that
, if there not good enough for a weak Greek league there not good enough for the championship

3.) 31 Aug 2018 13:38:48
Olympiacos are signing yaya toure so maybe just want to free up room

4.) 31 Aug 2018 14:03:20
Well free it up somewhere else and stop dumping your rubbish here

5.) 31 Aug 2018 15:14:32
He looked decent at the world cup and bagged himself a goal against the European champions

6.) 31 Aug 2018 16:47:34
Werent that a penalty daz

7.) 31 Aug 2018 21:03:57
Agreed no more Greek gifts.

8.) 31 Aug 2018 22:14:10
Yes totaly agree with you red no more greek gift of players from olmpiacos or any other greek side

13 Jul 2018 16:16:48
Cummings to Peterborough on a season long loan are we throwing down corn for a Marriot deal?

1.) 13 Jul 2018 17:11:09
Might have thought that if we sold him as part of a deal it looks likely we’ll have to give him away can’t see a lot of interest coming our way for him
We’ll have to take a hit on him I’m thinking

2.) 13 Jul 2018 19:49:04
Marriot like Cummings can’t play the lone role so I hope we don’t sign him. Brereton needs to go there too as he can’t play it either

3.) 13 Jul 2018 20:00:50
Can you believe that Darragh MacAnthony has had the nerve to moan that Cummings was expensive!

4.) 13 Jul 2018 20:09:49
I wouldn't be against Marriot coming our way if a reasonable price could be arranged and not the the silly numbers being touted around by the posh chairman.

I guess Cummings has gone there to see if they can mould him into a striker like they've done in the past with Gayle and Britt which makes me wonder if we should be looking to sign the Peterborough scouts/coaches instead of paying millions for their latest find in the bargain bins! (Which they keep doing).

5.) 13 Jul 2018 20:45:48
Bit of "buttering"up going off if you ask me?
Pity the breadmans not here.😁😁😁

6.) 13 Jul 2018 21:17:04
Cummings the makewheat?

7.) 13 Jul 2018 21:28:20
Lol 2 star wonder if "posh" will put him up in the "Marriott"

8.) 13 Jul 2018 22:11:13
It’s not posh enough pal

9.) 13 Jul 2018 22:49:24
It's the best you can get in Peterborough, not a lot of call for the Ritz there?
Stick him the jury's inn while we all make our minds up???🤣🤣🤣🤣

10.) 13 Jul 2018 22:54:37
If Forest were trying to butter posh up wouldn’t we contribute towards Cummings wages?its been confirmed that posh are paying his full wages for the whole season long loan.

11.) 13 Jul 2018 23:21:56
Indeed FF it seems the jury is still out on Cummings it seems there was no room at the Scottish premier inn

12.) 13 Jul 2018 23:46:53
And I was looking forward to going fishing tomorrow????🤔🤔

13.) 14 Jul 2018 12:45:41
Paul Taylor of the Evening Post seemed quite adamant that there is no deal for Marriott.
When suggested that the Cummings deal could be linked to a Marriott deal, he reiterated that its not the case

14.) 14 Jul 2018 20:46:54
Dazs expect Marriott to sign then if that’s what Taylor had said

15.) 14 Jul 2018 21:11:36
Lets hope so. Sutton_red85

16.) 15 Jul 2018 07:03:41
I’m not to bothered if he doesn’t sign to be honest.the fact nobody else seems to want him for whatever reason suggests we should be careful.after all he hype and bugging up from posh about him nobody has bid.which shows he isn’t worth what they want and like a few have said he isn’t all that.

17.) 15 Jul 2018 10:50:46
Agreed Sutton. I'd not be fussed either way. Bigger fish to fry.

18.) 15 Jul 2018 11:51:40
think with Grabban, Soundani, Murphy and Bereton for what is likely to be one position we are pretty much set with strikers aren't we? Unless Bereton or Murphy moves on?

06 Jul 2018 12:07:17
Vaughan signed for Notts County. One out and I wish him all the best. Great player for them to sign

1.) 06 Jul 2018 13:04:40
He had already left the club along with Hobbs. Only now has he found a new club, I too wish him all the best

2.) 06 Jul 2018 13:07:59
Yes I realised that after pressing send but I agree, good player for us and good to see he has another club

3.) 06 Jul 2018 13:27:58
Way way too good for that league.

Wish him and the pies every success.
Not sure they will wish us the same but hey. lol

4.) 06 Jul 2018 14:14:59
Hope everything that can go wrong for notts does but agree Vaughan way to good for that league,an definitely too good to pull that black and white rag on

5.) 06 Jul 2018 14:22:41
Hopefully he can stay clear of injuries.

6.) 06 Jul 2018 14:45:01
No 22, what's your take on all this transfer cash we are awash with??? Can't believe it's happening!!!

7.) 06 Jul 2018 18:06:47
Rogie 🤔

8.) 07 Jul 2018 07:31:16

Like I said months ago.
5hit or bust.

Bust will mean we have to get rid of the young valuable players but I expect us to have at least two seasons to do something.

The only subs the owner is concerned about is the 18 plus million subscription (loss) it costs every season to limp along in this league.
As an investor it isn’t tenable.

If mario dies nothing it will cost him 100 mil over the next four seasons just to tread water.

9.) 07 Jul 2018 10:02:10
Dies? Well he is carrying a bit of😀😀

10.) 07 Jul 2018 11:48:36
Excellent post Stevie, tinpot dead beats

18 Jan 2019 15:18:19
Just read tgat M ON is lining up a bid for James McClean from Stoke.
I know little about him, anyone seen much of him?

1.) 18 Jan 2019 15:20:25
Never seen him walk by my window 😁

2.) 18 Jan 2019 15:40:16
You will realise how popular McLean is when it's Remembrance day.

3.) 18 Jan 2019 15:43:57
If we sign him i’ll Pack up going

4.) 18 Jan 2019 15:55:59
No you won't stevie, you'd have to spend Saturday's shopping with the missus 🤔🤔

5.) 18 Jan 2019 16:04:19
It will make me think twice Stevie.

6.) 18 Jan 2019 16:10:28
Ff779 mate the bloke turns my stomach just my opinion,

7.) 18 Jan 2019 16:37:54
I know what your saying,I don't like politics or religion it's something people should keep private.

28 Aug 2018 19:02:56
Well that clears that up for us then. AK has said they Brereton wants to leave the club so that is why he is allowing the move

1.) 28 Aug 2018 19:20:43
Reddog68 When Brereton could not even get on the bench against Bury, which essentially told him he will be lucky to get a handful of games all season, that would have told him he needs to leave. Not much to think about is it, stay and hardly get to play, or move and play regularly.

2.) 28 Aug 2018 19:27:12
Best feel good factor, record season cards ,all slipping away and this statement sums it up ,we,ve not just come down from the tree,s here you know.

3.) 28 Aug 2018 19:51:14
Brereton and worrell will obviously want to leave because karanka as no intention of playing them.
Other teams rate them but not karanka he'd sooner have Murphy who can't run know more.
In front of brereton.

4.) 28 Aug 2018 23:51:51
He's basically been forced out of the club by Karanka. Can't blame Brereton for wanting to leave as he wasn't going to get a chance this season.

5.) 29 Aug 2018 06:27:10
worell hopefully the next to go. can't stand the player. makes too many mistakes. because forest a lot of games last season.

25 Aug 2018 19:47:30
Time to push the panic button? No I don't think so but we are a mid table team at the very best. I guess the question would is why are these new signings not tearing up this league?
I know it's not an overnight thing but we are no where near to being a top 6 team leg alone promotion hopefuls
Money will not bring success but will AK?

1.) 25 Aug 2018 19:58:49
Completely agree mate

2.) 25 Aug 2018 20:53:12
And me red dog its a few weeks away but if we carry on like this and lose to the sheep in a few weeks and our owner will pull the trigger on ak

3.) 25 Aug 2018 21:02:56
I'll load the gun.
The defensive genius that is karanka is not working .
Bring Worrall back figs had a stinker today.

16 Aug 2018 19:28:46
I think we would all like to keep him but we have brought loads of players in and may need to balance the books a little.
For me loan him out but don't sell unless we get a big offer or if we do need to put a few quid back in to maintain the push for the premier league.
One thing I would say is you have to look at this like the Jack Marriot saga. I would have took a punt on him but as several quite rightly pointed out, we need someone to get the goals now, not one for the future!
Is BB not the same?
100% agree thou, if we don't need to sell dont

1.) 16 Aug 2018 20:49:32
Someone tell me what he's done to make people believe he has the potential to be a top player?

2.) 16 Aug 2018 22:15:49
Nothing mate. Living in the past with an idealistic view that we are always nurturing the next Roy Keane. The reality is many of the ‘next best thing ‘ never even went on the have successful careeers. We’ve had 4 good ones in fifteen Years - granted it’s probably generated circa 25 mil but has that paid for the investment when you consider wages of staff etc.

3.) 16 Aug 2018 23:01:19
Gazza whilst I'm not disagreeing with you I'd point you to the England set up who have consistently picked him for the last couple of years and obviously believe he is one of the best young strikers in the country. My main concern is that if he does go we get the market value for a young international forward.Whether you rate him or not that's what he is.

13 Aug 2018 20:05:53
Looks like Joe Worrall could be heading out on loan. Better to give him some quality game time with another club than it is to sell him. Good to see we have a solid plan for the future

1.) 13 Aug 2018 20:10:50
This is excellent news

2.) 13 Aug 2018 21:15:16
How good is the new centre back hefele.
Feel for worrell think he would come on loads with likes of Dawson and fig. Mentoring him.
And a decent team in front of him.
But we are now overloaded with cbs.
So a loan to a good league 1 side might do worrell better.
Dyke saw summit in him to offer 10m

3.) 13 Aug 2018 21:28:56
And karanka sees something in him to keep him a loan is definitely a good thing playing time for him his what he needs only a young lad who will come on leaps and bounds for it and maybe next season start regular for us

4.) 13 Aug 2018 21:39:42
Poor decision badly handled as we could of cashed in if karanka didn't fancy him as a first choice.
You don't loan out a player who attracted a 10 million bid and prefer a 350 k player instead.
Should have tahen the money.

5.) 13 Aug 2018 21:42:27
He ought to go play with his Uncle Jack at Bolton and learn the art of defending?

6.) 13 Aug 2018 22:04:18
Ff I do not know why Hefele cost around £350,000 but if he really is a quality like Aitor seems to think perhaps there are circumstances for that and the manager thinks there will be no problems with him, or at £350,000 it is a minor risk should it not work out, i should think Worrall would have a recall option. This is a season we are going all out to try and get promotion so Worrall going out on loan could well be something that improves him which gives us a better player, or get offered more than £10m.

7.) 13 Aug 2018 22:09:34
Red always,Hefele was first choice in the season Huddersfield got promotion. Very good signing at this level and a snip at 350k

8.) 13 Aug 2018 22:16:32
So you've just answered your own questions. should of cashed in, his value has become worthless now.

9.) 13 Aug 2018 22:26:46
FF79 I believe it was only circumstances at the time that we didn't sell Worrall to Burnley.Warburton had just been sacked, league position dodgy, performances awful and lots of goals being conceded.I feel the owners feared the backlash of supporters had we sold a product of the academy at that time.

10.) 14 Aug 2018 08:35:42
Correct would of moaned about ak getting rid of youth and not wanting to use the academy.depends what agenda you have

11.) 14 Aug 2018 11:18:13
Would have caused a storm Sutton.I personally wouldn't loan him out unless we can recall at short notice.Fox doesn't have a great injury record.Figs has been injured all summer and Dawson isn't getting any younger.

12.) 14 Aug 2018 11:49:34
We defo need a recall

13.) 14 Aug 2018 12:55:27
Is it not a standard stipulation that a loanee can be recalled to his parent club at any time? I was just wondering?

Agree with 79 (for once) give him a chance but 16 games in 4 years he will need game time to get match fit.
Don't think he will hit the ground running but MON has chosen him for a reason so let's hope he suprises us all
